Excellent food, prepared fast and friendly service. All the plates and rolls are fairly priced, and well portioned so you won't leave hungry! Large variety of rolls, bento boxes, and great dinner platers. This is my new favorite quick dinner or takeout sushi restaurant.

I took advantage of the promo with Yama Sushi and Grubhub and saved $10 on my first delivery. I'm glad I did because the food was good and their prices were fair. I ordered the Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki combo which comes with steamed rice, salad and a cup of Miso soup. Just perfect for a meal after a long day at work. Also recommend the Beef Donburi.

Ordered a bento box with Salmon and Beef teriyaki and salmon sashimi, along with a volcano roll. The salmon was pretty moist and refreshing, but the beef teriyaki was really chewy. The salad had way too much dressing. The volcano roll tasted pretty high quality and all the ingredients worked well together.

Simple but delicious place. Excellent vegetarian rolls. The vegetarian miso was okay. The rice tea was too watery. Overall, would go again for the veggie rolls.

Food is consistent quality, the bento box is a good buy but I believe the teriyaki chicken and salmon is Sysco quality....their Sushi is fresh and excellent....I gave it 3 stars based on service and disappointment in the Sysco grade food

I used to order 2 or 3 times a month, but the last order the driver was really rude! I always give them 2 3 dollars tip, but this time I don't want to, and he was rude!

Had a decent bento box and the service was not as bad as mentioned in the other posts. The restaurant is, however, run by Chinese and the taste definitely leans towards Chinese Japanese cuisine. In particular, the rice was not done right.

The ramen was of very high temperature but the vegetables were undercooked. I could hardly find any meat in it, however the pieces I found were delecious. Too bad there were just 3 or 4 small ones. The volume was big. In comparison lunch rolls are very small -my friend ended up ordering second dish.

Good stop for lunch, really quick. Parking xan be daunting but there are always spaces behind it unnoticed.

Enjoyed the veggie Dragon Roll the first time i tried the place but after going three times and everything else I've tried being a disappointment through under seasoning or the rice being the wrong texture (too wet), I won't be going again.

Sushi is a bit stale. I get it, it's always empty and there is no circulation of product, but that is also a reason that keeps people away.

I got a 2 piece hamachi nigiri and Saba Shioyaki entree. The hamachi was so-so, didn't seem very fresh and was almost room temp when served. Miso soup was fine. The rice was mushy/gummy, the salad dressing too sweet but that's pretty common at japanese restaurants. And the Saba Shioyaki (grilled salted mackerel)... it was awful. Too overcooked to eat, and it wasn't just salted. They put some kind of soy-based sauce on it prior to grilling. I ate very little of it and asked for a to-go box so they wouldn't question my leaving a full plate, and then threw it out later. Oftentimes I will go back to a restaurant to give them a second chance, but not this one.

Went for the first time recently. Probably will not go back. My wife got the BBQ pork ramen. It was fine. Not great. The pork cuts were medium-thick with a nice fat layer. The broth was ok. The noodles were light on the classic ramen alkali flavor and a bit soft. I got the spicy ginger pork ramen. It was also fine, but not as good as the BBQ pork. The broth flavor couldn't stand up to mild spiciness and the pork cuts were thin slices, not as tasty as the BBQ pork. My son got the gyoza and California rolls. The gyoza tasted like a spring roll. Only ok. He ate all the rolls. His meal came with a salad and rice ball. The salad dressing was very sweet. About 18 hours later he was suffering gastrointestinal distress (both ends) which I suspect was some type of moderate food poisoning (suspect the salad or California roll). That's ultimately why I won't be going back. The ramen is probably safe, but not tasty enough to miss the drive to San Mateo for numerous quality ramen joints.

If you don’t like what time orders are placed on Grubhub then change the times on the app. Instead my order is canceled 45 mins later.

I understand businesses are struggling during these trying times and owners are trying to make things stretch, but to call your customer (who ordered delivery through an app) and blame them for a misunderstanding is beyond me. If I pay $100 for 5 rolls, I'm expecting decent portions and quality. I recieved neither. Fish was not fresh; definitely previously frozen. Afterwards, you tell me that you're going to come to my house and take the food back? You think after an hour and half later that I wouldnt eat the food I just ordered? Then you try to guilt trip me by saying you're going to donate it to the homeless? We're in pandemic, are you really going to put the homeless at risk? I understand you're frustrated, but get your facts straight before you take your aggression out on the customer because we can make or break your business. This is exactly why your business has a bad review on here. Please educate yourself in etiquacy as your interaction goes far beyond a meal. I hope you read this. I know you have my address. Do not show up at my house.

Just horrible! Got seated pretty fast. Waitress was attentive in the beginning but, then downhill from there. All of the food arrived different times. 2nd waitress had no personality almost to point of rudeness. Think she is an owner. U hate ur job that much then quit. You maybe happier!! Got a chicken tempura bento box. Chicken over cooked and hard. But, worst of all before we made it out severe stomach cramps and diarrhea issues. Still next day stomach craps etc. Almost, feels like food poisoning. # 2 of our party got stomach issues 1 hr after also. And she got shrimp tempura and rolls. Should of read reviews!!! Don't waste ur time or money.

Service on a Friday night was awful-waited at our table for over 20 mins. before we asked a waitress to take our order, then food came out sporadically, and they completely forgot the order for our son's meal, which we had to reorder and received after everyone else in our party had finished.

The host( the owner) completely arrogant. Rude. If you complain for something, she will trow you what she have on her hands. Very rude. She has her husband ( big chubby guy) sitting on the back like protecting her. Very bad experience. I wont be back.

Hamachi kama is FRIED, even though it's advertised as grilled. I called to ask to clarify, and she told me it was grilled, I asked her to reconfirm, then heard her speaking Chinese to the chef, who later turned around I could understand her talking to him that it's fried in butter! It's 100% fried, super oily, sitting on a saturated oily doily paper. Totally misleading on menu, and lied and rude on the phone. He claimed "Chinese Japanese", I question whether there's any japanese in there for real..The karaage chicken batter was off as well, not typical batter, kids didn't even eat it. Tempura shrimp in roll was tiny shrimp, all air around batter. Portions also smaller than other neighboring restaurants. When there are so many other places to go to around here, not coming back again for sure.

I'm beyond disappointed in my experience and would not advise anyone to order from this restaurant in the future!

super confusing and bad experience here. the reviews are all good so i don't know what was different for us. went with my girlfriend. they seemed really mad that we were there. we ordered a donburi and then some rolls. the donburi is listed ON THE MENU as coming with miso soup. donburi is literally a rice dish also. they said we had to pay extra for the soup, and when the donburi came out it was missing the rice? when we asked where it was they said they would have to charge extra. we also ordered 2 diet cokes. they gave us diet cokes that were literally expired. i was kind of at a loss for words. maybe the worst thing was. it was middle of winter. we were the only people eating in at that time. and while we ate, they turned the heat off. it became freezing cold in the restaurant and so we kind of had to leave. they were wearing puffer jackets. it was such a horrible experience. for context, we are an lgbt couple. not sure if this played any sort of role in our treatment (we were also not really putting that on display there) but i wanted to note it.
