Stopped by after a recommendation for fish and chips and Luccas delivered. Great location within walking distance of the water front.. the spicy coleslaw that accompanied the fish was a tasty spin on a common side. Beer and wine selection was abundant as well. Will be back for the chicken apparently after hearing about it from others there at the time!

I saw the fried chicken on the menu and I thought I have to try this place. My wife and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing Friday lunch before an afternoon stroll in Benicia. We started with Deviled Eggs w/ Duck Prosciutto. Then we had a Beet Salad and Seared Ahi Salad. We shared the Fried Chicken. The flavors of the dishes all blended well together and the portions were generous. The fried chicken was crunchy and very juicy, and it more than satisfied my craving. A nice restaurant find for a spur of the moment outing.

The Service and People were great. But i ordered the chicken parmesan and said grilled on the menu and when it came it was fried. For someone who doesn't eat fried food. That is not very good. People were great though. Service was great.

Went there on a Friday evening to listen to Terry Hanck play the sax. Sat in the Beer Garden and had drinks and dinner. Drinks were good and fairly priced. Food was okay too. After the music started, the drinks went up in price by 50 cents each. I'm guessing that's to pay the band which is fair since there wasn't a charge for the music. Definitely a local hangout for many. The place was very crowded and noise levels were high with conversations. Many people were dancing which is cool. I wide range of ages were in attendance. We liked this place and will come again for the music for sure!

Overall, a nice experience at Lucca Bar & Grill! The wait staff is kind but a bit quick and then they kind of disappear. The food was enjoyable, too! All in all, it was a nice family-oriented feel, casual dining spot.

The server Ryan is the best. Food meh. The back patio had live music after I was leaving.That looked really nice and fun.

This is a place I’ve visited Many times now, and I think it really stands out for its atmosphere. The beer garden in particular has a great vibe, it’s lively, with good music, and feels like the kind of spot where you could easily spend a relaxed evening with friends. That said, the music is often cranked up much louder than it needs to be. While I enjoy the energy it brings, there are times when it makes conversation a bit of a challenge and plan to bring ear plugs or you'll leave with ringing ears. A person monitoring the mix, offering a slightly lower volume would make it perfect. What keeps me coming back, though, is the chill hang outside and good selection of beer. Of course the food is great too. They’re consistently friendly, attentive, and quick to make sure you’re taken care of. Even when the place is busy, they maintain a positive attitude, which makes a big difference. The food is also solid every time whether you’re grabbing a burger, a plate of appetizers, or one of their entrées, you can expect something tasty and satisfying. Definitely try the deviled eggs. A must! If I had to mention a downside, it’s not the restaurant itself but sometimes the other guests. Depending on the crowd, the experience can shift a little. Still, overall, Lucca Bar and Grill is a fun, reliable spot with good food, great people, and a lively setting that makes it worth checking out.

Service was great sitting at the bar. Definitely a locals hangout. The atmosphere was pretty lively with the music being pretty loud on a Sunday evening with people having to almost yell at one another to talk. I ordered thebpork chop and it was a bit overcooked. Same goes for the asparagus as it was mushy by the time I got it. Mashed potatoes were decent. I'd go back for a drink or two but based on the chop I can't say I'd rush back to eat.

This is a review for the beer garden I have to say something bc it was ridiculous: first off that ceasar salad price of 17.75 is a joke. The server came out w it in a to go box w everything in containers. The lettuce wasn’t even properly chopped up. Half ass… I had her turn right around and take off our bill bc that is insanity. I eat at many fancy places and have paid that for a ceasar before. (Hello Zuni cafe) but it comes out mixed already and beautiful. Secondly there was a hair in the Mac n cheese And thirdly .. we didn’t notice till later that there was an extra charge of $9 for using our card. Had we known we would have taken it out of the tip. Or used cash! That was BS. I eat at the main restaurant Manly and now I know that food in back is a JOKE. Except the ribs. Those were delicious. And so was the shrimp. I hope they take the ceasar off or make it $9 I woke up to write this bc I’m still pissed.

I’m so incensed by what occurred that I needed to write this review right after our valentine's dinner at Luca Bar & Grill. My husband made reservations at Luca’s for 5:00pm for valentines (Feb. 14th, 2026). We arrived at 5:00 for our reservations and the young lady (host) told us that we had the table until 6:30 because there was another reservation for that table. Okay, we felt this was enough time for our dinner and understood it was valentine's day and that they were busy (even though I thought they should have mentioned this when we made the reservation). We were then seated in the corner under the tv (near the kitchen window) where lighting is inadequate (has been this way for years)! We’re locals and occasionally go to Lucca’s happy hour (we like when Amanda is working), and have only actually dined (in dining room) a few times. but we were once again (this makes it twice) seated in this dark corner of the dining room under the tv. We asked to be moved and we were granted (after the young hostess who looked overwhelmed) finally to another table near the front window with better lighting. Question: Why doesn’t Lucca’s invest in some affordable table lights (Amazon) for those two tables (that seat two under TV in corner) with much needed lighting for their guests?? Anyway, once we were seated in a better (lighted) table we enjoyed our time. The server was great and attentive and the food was good! Because of what the hostess mentioned when we first arrived (regarding we only had an hour and a half to dine) I asked my husband what time it was, because we were waiting for our food. It was about forty minutes when our meals arrived. He said don't worry, that we have time to enjoy our meals. After our meal our server asked if we wanted dessert and instead we ordered after dinner drinks that we enjoyed. Our server came with our bill and my husband was taking care of it when suddenly the hostess came over to our table and told us that the 6:30 reservation had arrived and that we needed to finish up! What?!? According to our time, we still had three (3) minutes left until 6:30. We were both surprised by this action!! Who does this?? Even the couple near us heard what we were being told and the woman looked at me and said "bizarre"! I thought I heard the lady correctly but I asked. . . what? She repeated, "bizarre"!!! I said yes . . . it's poor customer service and I was not happy! It seemed that the young gal did not even notice (was aware) that my husband was closing out the bill. We felt this was rude and that we were rushed when we just paid well over a hundred dollars for our meal. And it wasn't even 6:30 yet!! We were not lounging and wasting time with our meal and the fact is that we were at the mercy of our server (when he could get to us) and the kitchen, when they brought the food to us. That was beyond our control. I can't totally blame the hostess because I feel she must have been given direction from her managers/superiors to implement this insensitive protocal. But it was a sad ending to our special time out, and the fact that other customers noticed this poor behavior fortified the fact that this was terrible customer service being directed at us! Customer service is important, especially when consumers decide where to spend their hard earned dollars. If we are not treated as valued customers, then perhaps consumers should think twice about dining at Lucca's Bar and Grill in Benicia!

The fried chicken showed up late and burnt. The mac-n cheese, cole slaw and cheesy biscuits were good. The margueritas were mostly mixer and almost no tequila..I had to water it down with another cup of water. The live misic event was mistepresented. There was supposed to be blues and jazz, and rock, but it was all rock and roll. When I looked up this place, it did not say that the music was outdoors, without heat. It is November, for Chrissakes! What frauds.

I remember the fried chicken tasting better but when we went today after a long time, the chicken was burnt and dry! Left a bad taste, won’t be coming back after that. Didn’t feel worth the expensive price when it tastes like reheated burnt kfc

So me and my friend were gonna celebrate my birthday at Luccas after work because the time says you close at 12 on Saturdays but there was nobody there we got there around 10:30ish. But everything was off we were already craving their food

2 HOURS FOR JUST AN APPETIZER???? It is very unfortunate that I have to make this review. I have been at this restaurant a handful of times and loved the food, but today was my last straw with them. I went in to order an appetizer and a side salad thinking that would be quick and easy. I placed my order with the server, Jordan, who then gave me a water and then left. I sat there waiting for my food for over 45 minutes. I had to wave my server down and ask her where the food was, and she went to check on it. 10 minutes later, she tells me that the ticket was lost and she would rush it. At this point, I was a bit annoyed but, decided to wait it out. Another 20 minutes go by and I'm finally served. I finish my food and am ready for the bill. I look around and I don't see my server, Jordan, anywhere. I look over and see that the tables filled with the people that I saw when I first sat down, are gone and a new round of people have been seated at every table. The new people had food within 15 minutes; yet here I am waiting to pay for my food. At the 2 hour mark, I finally give up and scan looking for my server, Jordan. I see her and violently wave for her. She takes my credit card and scans my card right then and there. I look at the bill and she doesn't charge me the right price. I'm tired, angry that l've lost my whole night, and ready to leave the restaurant. Will not be coming back. Very disappointing.
