This is one of the most pleasant dining experiences I had in Boston. Great service and fresh food for reasonable price. Fully recommend Tiramisu and lamb pizza.

We had wonderful experience at Scampo last night. Lobster pizza is a must order dish, it’s very special and tasty. Scampo duck, core ravioli and tuna tartar are all worth to try. The highlight of last night was the desserts, we tried several different ones and none of them disappointed us. I love the peaches &cream opera torte most, its different layers of flavors melt my mouth. I’m so impressed with how the pastry chef, Thomas, creates and presents the desserts. I’ll definitely go back and try more.

My boyfriend and I just celebrated our 4 year anniversary tonight. Service and food were fantastic but the kicker was that we never reminded them it was our anniversary- just a short note on the reservation I made days ago- However, they brought us a gorgeous desert with a sparkler and candles without any reminder about the special occasion! They are so attentive and amazing and we will absolutely be returning!

Oh My Gosh. The food was AMAZING!!!!! My server was extremely nice, polite, and friendly. The atmosphere was really, really cool. There was really good music. The walls were made of old bricks, which made the restaurant even more cool.

Phenominal. And integrated into my favorite hotel, The Liberty, which has been my favorite for quite a while. The espresso martini was made perfectly. Not too sweet and perfectly proportioned The Lobster pizza i was told to try and was addictive! Absolutely a new favorite spot for me. Must. Try. Everythingggf

Had a wonderful dinner this evening at Scampo on Charles Street. Our server Yuban was great and made tremendous suggestions. The wagyu beef tasted fantastic and the duck just heavenly. The scallop appetizer was incredibly delicious and as near to perfect as it gets. Had a super experience and can highly recommend Scampo.

The food and the service both are quite frankly amazing. Our waitress was friendly and gave suggestions. She even told is to not order something and suggested alternatives. The duck that I ordered was great and so was the fish ordered by my friends. We shared appetizers and desserts. I don't think there was anything bad to say about the food. We went to check out the decor near the bar area and it was really cool to see the jail cell. Overall, I will definitely come back and also bring other people here.

Erica our server was amazing! Ask for Erica she knew the menu well and had an amazing energy! We started off with Calamari highly recommend light and fluffy and a homemade sauce. We had a bottle of wine a chianti! For dinner I had the chicken which was amazing! For dessert a tiramisu that was so delicious!

I loved the service and ambience of the restaurant. Waitress was very helpful and took care of us very well. Food is delicious. I tried scampo black lacquered duck and I absolutely loved it.

In August 2025, I visited Lydia Shire’s Scampo inside the Liberty Hotel — and the experience was a delight. The evening began with three golden breadsticks served alongside a thick, velvety fava bean dip brightened with basil and olive oil, arranged in the shape of a leaf. It set the tone for a meal that was both elegant and playful. For my Caesar salad, the server asked if anchovies were okay. Absolutely — a true Caesar should have them. Crisp romaine, a tangy dressing, and the briny anchovies made it one of the best Caesars I’ve ever tasted. The corn soup was a creamy, sunshine-yellow bowl of comfort, accompanied by a tiny, salty sandwich — so naturally, I dunked it right into the soup. It was marvelous. For the main course, I chose the spaghetti Bolognese. The server suggested a half portion, but I’m glad I went for the full. It arrived perfectly sauced and deeply satisfying. On the side, I ordered fried peas, a house favorite, served with two dipping sauces. They were as addictive as they sound. To drink, I had a blackberry sparkling mocktail — refreshing and slightly tart. And for dessert, I opted for a root beer float. While the dessert took about 30 minutes to arrive after ordering, the rest of the service was attentive, with multiple staff members checking in to see if I wanted a drink earlier in the meal. Despite the wait at the end, this dinner reminded me why Lydia Shire is a Boston legend: bold flavors, confident execution, and a touch of whimsy.

The service was amazing! Our server was so kind and we went here for a bday dinner and we had a wonderful experience dining here. Cacio e pepe - It was rich and flavorful 🍝 8/10. Spaghettini w snow crab & alex's homemade salsa matcha - I loved the snow crab with the pasta 🦀🍝! The crab wasn't fishy at all and very fresh and tender. It paired so well woth the pasta. The pasta was flavorful and not too salty. 9/10. xtra cold crisp butter lettuce salad w/ peach & warm parmesan custard - We tried this as a starter and it was a light and healthy yet flavorful starter. The parmesan custard was almost like a soft tofu and paired so well with the peach, tomato and butter lettuce. 8/10 We got the lemon sorbet with I think was basil on top 🍨 and it was a refreshing dessert. Overall, the service was great and the food was pretty good too!

The atmosphere was enjoyable. The artwork was a conversation piece of how the grounds used to be an old jail house. The food was amazing. My wife had lobster stew and I had the lobster pizza. The amount of lobster was impressive if you compared it to the typical amount on a lobster roll -- right on point for the price and quality!

Stopped in for a Mother's Day lunch. We had a reservation, so we were seated promptly. Service was attentive with casual elegance. We selected from the special Mother's Day Menu. Our starter was a Caesar salad. Entrees included chicken, pasta carbonara, gluten-free spaghetti, and a gnocchi plate with mussels. All were delicious. Full bar and extensive wine list available. Wood fired oven for pizzas. Lovely atmosphere in a unique historic setting.

We enjoyed the most amazing experience at Scampo! We were celebrating my son’s private wedding. The warm and welcoming atmosphere with it’s rich velvet chairs and magnificent lighting presented such a comforting and classy environment without being pretentious. Our event coordinator, Carah was extremely communicative and went above and beyond and was very flexible in helping to facilitate a memorable, intimate event. She aided in creating a menu to entice all despite the food challenges which were presented. Our servers, Holly and Pedro were friendly, patient, and professional while offering expert recommendations. Last but not least, kudos to the chefs for preparing an exquisite meal that was not only delectable but visually beautiful as well. I highly recommend Scampo to anyone looking for a remarkable experience!

We had a great experience in jail for dinner on my birthday :-) My wife surprised me with the evening out; she had to spill the surprise because I was going to get into town before she was, so I arrived at the Liberty for the first time with no idea where I was going. Despite the subtle signs that Scampo was to my left I knew I had an hour to kill, so I followed the escalators up towards the live music (as I will ALWAYS do). They opened out into a broad atrium bar - The Clink, I take it - where a very skilled trio was laying down jazz standards. One Hendricks G&T and several standards later (including a particularly funky Green Dolphin Street) I realized it was our reservation time, so I made my way down to find Scampo. I was ushered in to a cozy - yet prison basement - dining space with lovely decor and a buzz of attentive hosts. I wouldn’t have called it a “family” restaurant, but right next to me was a table with a mom and her 2-3 year old in a high chair… a very well mannered kid from all evidence. Our server Juan was fantastic, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks, friendly and authentic. My wife arrived shortly before our tuna tartare which was delicious, though served with too few taro chips (Juan promptly took care of that for us). The seafood we each ordered was terrific - the plates were all scraped clean, garnishes and all - and the cocktails were interesting and well made. While we didn’t have room for dessert my wife more or less insisted, since she had checked ahead of time and discovered there was a particular chocolate confection that she thought I would like. I did. It was supposed to have cone with a candle and sparkler, she told me, but it was just as tasty without, and it too vanished completely. Excellent evening all told: good food, good drink, good music, good company. Thanks for a great birthday venue Scampo (and Clink)!

Had the most amazing appetizer and meal. The appetizer was a Belgium waffle with warm lobster and a honey miso sauce. It was to die for. My husband and I each had small plates of Bolognese and Carbonara. Both dishes were done to perfection and so flavorful..The portions were large and we couldn't finish them. Unfortunately we didn't have room for desert. Cant wait to go back!

J

Wow! We loved our ladies' night out at Scampo. All the dishes were delicious. Lobster pizza and Duck Scamp were to die for, but we were floored by all the dessert. We have heard about pastry chef Thomas, but we did not realize how incredible he was until we tried the desserts. Everything on the menu was amazing, from sorbet and ice cream to Peach Opera Torte and tiramisu. This place is a must for all foodies!

The perfect restaurant to enjoy a relaxing, delicious lunch or dinner. But even more special on Valentine’ day or a birthday. I asked the waiter for the special of the day and he responded all of the food on the menu is special, which is very true. The food was attractively plated, delicious, of unique combinations and good size portions. The waiter was attentive, pleasant, knowledgeable and easily managed our special requests.

Authentic. Great place for dinner. Everything from the food to the service is brilliant. I let the bartender order for me, and considering how often I eat out... this place is a stand-out. Think about it....when was the last time you had homemade Pecan Cake? And, it was spectacular. Do not miss this place if you have the chance.

Splendid and phenomenal experience at Scampo. The food was top notch and delicious, I recommend the lobster pizza. For dessert, recommend Tiramisu and Pelan cake. One of the most unique and flavorful pizzas I’ve had. If you fancy a safe option, carbonara is great. The cocktails are incredibly good, I recommend autumn ash (10/10) and our classic Fresca.

C

Really delicious and unique pastas. I had a cocoa pappardelle and my guest had the pumpkin raviolis which they said were the best they ever had. Pappardelle was phenomenal. Desserts were good but too many coffee flavors in all the dessert choices which was limiting because I don’t like coffee. But the pastas cannot be beat.

Wonderful service and yummy food is served here. Scampo is worth the trip! Its delightful splurge meal. The chicken dish was super flavorable and moist chicken. I love rustic style bread. My favorite dessert was the sorbet. The strawberry wined me pcer the mango. It was really refreshing and light. It was super yummy. Lydia shire's Tiramisu was sweet with a strong coffee taste.

Pretty stellar. High end quality and service at mid-high prices. Highly recommend. Oh and Brian was a great server, fantastic service. Why does this menu have a restaurant when he already knows what you should order.

Had the chance to meet my cousins and a friend for dinner at Scampo in Boston. The space is beautiful — nicely outfitted and definitely has good bones. Chairs were very comfortable, though the tables run a bit small. We were squeezed at a four-top, which felt a little tight. Service was excellent — the staff was attentive without being intrusive. Drinks were great (I had a lemon drop and it was spot-on). Appetizers were delicious — the tuna tartare was fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I went with the fish & chips. It was a generous portion and tasted great. Only tiny critique is that the bottom layer got a bit soggy — but still very enjoyable overall. All in all, a great dinner experience. I’d happily go back!

So impressed by the delicious food here! We had the fig/bacon pizza as an appetizer then the carbonara and duck/foie gras dishes for entrees. Everything was high quality in taste and ingredients. No notes! The cocktails were fall festive which matched the cozy vibe of the restaurant. I wish the server interrupted a little less, but he was super nice. Plates were cleared in a timely manner and water was always poured without having to ask, which I always consider a sign of attentive service. The ambience was a little loud, but it was a weekend night after all - just something to note if you're looking for a more quiet conversation setting. I would absolutely go back to Scampo. It's a great place to bring out-of-town guests as well, with the lovely bar upstairs and the history of the Liberty Hotel.

Everything was exceptional !! 10/10 recommend. A great spot for dinner with friends or a date night. They also are great with accommodations for Gluten Free people. And make sure to order the tiramisu it’s amazing

I made our Valentine’s Day reservations about two months in advance. My wife is gluten-free and vegetarian, so I did quite a bit of research before choosing Scampo because of their gluten-free menu and consistently positive reviews. About a week before Valentine’s Day, we noticed the restaurant had switched to a prix fixe menu for the holiday—which is completely understandable given how busy the night would be. The challenge was that there weren’t many options that worked for her dietary restrictions, and at that point it would have been difficult to secure another reservation elsewhere. She called the restaurant to ask about accommodations and was assured they could gladly accommodate her gluten-free needs. While there were technically gluten-free items on the prix fixe menu, they all included meat. When we arrived, we explained the situation to our server, Brian. I don’t usually write reviews, but our experience with him—and with Scampo overall—truly deserves recognition. Brian immediately checked with the kitchen, and they went above and beyond by preparing a gluten-free pasta with pomodoro sauce that wasn’t even offered on that evening’s menu, just to ensure my wife had something she could fully enjoy. Brian’s professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made the entire evening feel special and stress-free. It was refreshing to feel so well taken care of. We’re already looking forward to coming back so we can experience the full menu. Thank you, Brian, and thank you, Scampo, for making our Valentine’s Day memorable!

Scampo in Boston hits the mark with its lobster pizza and lobster fried rice—absolutely top tier. The Paper Plane cocktail? Solid. Yet, the haddock lacked seasoning, and was very bland. The staff was exceptional. Their warmth and attentiveness elevated the experience. As for the ambiance? Spot on—inviting and stylish. While the haddock missed the mark, the lobster dishes and overall vibe make Scampo a must-visit.

V
Valerie Larsen

The Bolognese was very good. I have had better but this was very good. I had the octopus which was tasty but need a little more tenderizing and a touch of better char, with just fresh lemon 🍋 and a sprinkle of parsley... would have been perfection. Staff was amazing, our bartender was great and very accommodating. A little pricey, so be prepared.

K
Kareem El-Sisi

There's a certain vibe when you walk into Scampo, it does feel like a hotel restaurant that's a bit more calmer than you would expect from Boston’s culinary matriarch Lydia Shire. It’s not trending with lines out of the door given it debuted inside the Liberty Hotel in 2008 or competing with the Italian heavyweights in the North End, but Scampo is definitely well-regarded and respected in the city. You can understand that respect from the food and service, everything is reliably good and you’re guaranteed an enjoyable meal. Are there bells and whistles, life-changers, or memorable dishes? Maybe not so much. But the food is good, I would go again and try new things. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, Brian is what took this experience up a notch with his recommendation of brick chicken.

Scampo is a Modern Italian Restaurant located within the Liberty Hotel, right outside of the MGH Campus. The place itself is very nice, with a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly and accommodating for us, as we were celebrating a birthday. There was only one waitress, which seemed odd especially for a Friday night, but she did her best to make sure our night went well. We were started off with complimentary bread and a pesto/olive oil dip. The bread was crunchy and good, though the olive oil/pesto didn't add much flavor. We ordered appetizers, but they didn't come out until after our main dish. We got an "Xtra" cold crisp butter salad, which came deconstructed and not what we envisioned, though tasted quite good with the peach and the parmesan custard. We also got calamari, which came with a dipping sauce that was a bit spicy but not overwhelming. We also got a garlic bread, which did have some burnt edges but didn't detract from the dish, as the garlic bread was tasty and good for the portion. We tried the Gnocchi, Steak Frites, and the Carbonara. the Carbonara was creamy and tasted great, with a good cream sauce. The Gnocchi was good, though the portion was a bit smaller than expected. The steak frites was a highlight for us, as the meat was very tender, the fries went well on their own or with the sauce on the steak, and the sauce stood out as enhancing the flavor of the steak. We ended with a small cake for the birthday, with the staff accommodating us with a sparkler and singing happy birthday for us. Overall, it was a great experience and maybe would come back to try other dishes again.

Not quite up at top level, it’s Christmas season, but service is way too slow, 45 minutes between apps and mains?? Pork chop ordered medium rare and served almost well done, seasonings either too heavy or too little? But the Lobster Pizza, definitely tops for #1.

C
Catherine Vasquez

The food is good and the place is very nice . It's good for big groups. They are accommodating and service is really good. Here's my review on the food. We got the duck and it was good. The Boston haddock with lobster fried rice was a nice dish well balanced my one complaint was that the fish was unseasoned, at least the fried rice was delicious. Cesar salad is delicious and the nan bread too.

Was recommended to eat here by a colleague while I was traveling this week. Took a while to get into the dining room as the host stand had a backup. Sat at the bar and Ray was very attentive and helpful. Vegetarian options were fine, I opted for garlic bread and their seasonal ravioli (which is currently vegetarian). Both dishes were very good but just missing something to make them amazing. I had a good experience but wish there were more options for vegetarians.

We enjoyed our dinner here on a Sunday evening. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail and dinner, I had a cosmo and my husband had a margarita, the margarita stole the show. We had Patrick’s Naan which has prosciutto and greens tossed over a naan bread, skip it as it’s very oily and not that flavorful. Do get the brick chicken and the steak, both were incredible. The prices are higher range but considering the location it makes sense. The atmosphere is terrific, great lighting, the music isn’t too loud and the seats at the bar were very comfortable. Our server was polite, professional and attentive.

I have been to Scampo a couple of times now and always have a great experience! The atmosphere is perfect for a date night, warm, stylish, and relaxed. Even as vegetarians, I’ve found plenty of tasty options on the menu. The pastas and salads are super fresh and flavorful, and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. A bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it for the quality and experience.

Typical modern Italian restaurant attached to a hotel. Recently got a takeout of the lobster pizza, aglio e olio, and pomodoro pasta. Both pasta had slight hint of bitter & sour aftertaste (which seems to have originated from onion or garlic) that made them less appetizing. Their spaghetti was also thicker than normal and the sauces were not properly integrated into the pasta. They still did a great job with the thin crust lobster pizza, but it would have been better if they left the meat as chunks rather than tiny pieces. Nice spacious modern interior with friendly staffs does make it appealing for an elegant dinner or drinks, but the food quality certainly didn’t meet my initial expectations.

I would like to start this review with a shout out to our waiter, Rodrigo. He was attentive to me and my bf the whole night and helped resurrect our experience with Scampos. He is excellent at his job, 12/10 in hospitality. He was 5 star for his service in particular. The food was also incredible. Everything on the menu seems to be delicious and the seafood is fresh. I really enjoyed the lobster pizza and pomodoro. My boyfriend had the nightly special of sea bass per Rodrigo's request, which was spectacular. The rest of this review reflects why I likely will not return. My boyfriend made a reservation for 8pm which we were on time for. We were informed by the host that a table wouldn't be available for another 20 minutes and didn't offer even an apology. We were allowed to sit at the bar during our wait though, which we didn't mind. The bartender (despite the bar not being busy) didn't attend to us for 10 minutes and when she did, essentially tossed us some drink menus. She then asked for ID- which I understand is perfectly normal, we both just haven't been ID-ed in ages as we are both over 25. Given that the restaurant had a primarily 30+ crowd, I suppose we stood out. I unfortunately forgot my ID, so I understood I couldn't drink because of this. My boyfriend has an out of state ID, and the bartender then requested a secondary form of ID as it wasn't a Massachusetts ID and according to her, was Massachusetts' liquor law. I have personally never experienced this and neither had my bf, and we both have out of state IDs. He gave her a secondary form, in which she then had to run around to get her manager to confirm and the manager then asked for a credit card as a THIRD form of ID. Mind you, we watched her continue to pour drinks and serve while she held my boyfriend's cards as well. The manager finally confirmed that my boyfriend could drink, but again, no apology or real sincerity in how we were handled. I'm unsure how this double ID practice continues to operate here given that it's in a hotel and I imagine many patrons are traveling. Maybe they are just following a law many other places omit, but regardless, the situation was handled poorly. The ambiance of the restaurant is romantic and sweet, but many of the elements (given the price) are in need of the repairs. The tables are rickety and there's rips in many of the chairs. Overall, the food is amazing. A great place on paper for a date, but I was dissatisfied with the service. I don't consider myself a "Karen" and understand that people can't control laws, I just wish the hang ups in our experience were handled with more hospitality.

Take out of orechette with lamb balls and Caesar. Both were ok but expensive and not impressive. Three tiny lamb balls with no discernible seasoning. Chopped bits of broccoli rabe and tomatoes in light sauce. Caesar comes as large leaves (needs a lot of cutting) and you must ask for anchovies — not usually on it. Dressing could be better.

This restaurant is inside the Liberty Hotel: the grounds used to be an old jail house. -loved the ambiance and atmosphere -from reading other reviews: we weren’t given a complimentary bread basket or dip… -the espresso martini was given with cream to me…I was surprised , but the waiter without a problem took it back and gave me a real espresso martini… -the lobster pizza was delicious! -the tuna tartar was delicious! -my partner got the scampo cracklings & hot pepper (Now there was no actual description of what’s entirely in this…nor did the waiter ask us if we had any allergens, or anything) we don’t eat pork…. And I was very upset after he told me that it tastes like meat and we confirmed with the waiter…but I didn’t make a scene or anything because it was New Year’s Eve… But for a place like this,,, he assumes I want cream in my espresso martini, he didn’t ask for any food allergies or anything….it’s utterly upsetting. -I wasn’t a fan of the tiramisu…I had better elsewhere Overall very nice restaurant and I do recommend.

I reserved this restaurant for the family after a graduation ceremony. They had complementary breadsticks that were good. I got a blood orange cocktail that wasn't bad. Calamari was our first appetizer. Wasn't the best since it was too much flower. We also ordered their spiced 'birria' short rib pizza, and I can say it's one of the best pizzas I've had in a while. Nicely done! My main dish was the brick oven chicken. Pretty tasty and succulent piece of chicken. My folks had the cod and the ravioli. The cod wasn't seasoned well but the ravioli was decent. We're definitely happy with their service and wonderful staff for a nice experience.

Interesting Italian restaurant with a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern spin that’s sit in a former prison. The staff was professional and attentive especially with the size of the party. The team did great. The cocktails were tasty and refreshing. The oxtail pizza was unique and had tons of flavor. The clam pasta was presented very well but way too dry for my liking.

S
Steve Schlussel

We went here with a party of 8 for my wife’s birthday. The service was excellent and waiter very knowledgeable and willing to answer multiple questions about different menu items. The appetizers were good. The mains came and my wife’s gnocchi was COLD. We sent it back while everyone else ate their food. A second attempt at the gnocchi was barely warmer and an obvious attempt to reheat the meal rather than remake it. When it finally came out hot everyone was done with their meal. At a restaurant in this price range it should have triggered at minimum an apology from management and a removal from bill but that didn’t happen. A simple offer of a dessert for my wife’s birthday (which was mentioned on several occasions) would’ve at least acknowledged the situation but that opportunity was wasted as well. There are too many options in Boston to recommend this restaurant.

J
JD H

Most of the food was great. One of the pork dishes had to be sent back because it was undercooked. We were a large party seated at 5pm to a mostly empty restaurant, and the service was painfully slow. It took 20-25 min to get a drink. Food was slow but nowhere near as slow as the drinks. It was a buzzkill to our celebration. We would not go back

A
Aarti Sharda

Overall I wouldn't recommend We went to celebrate my 21st birthday from the UK and I was quite disappointed in the service. To start its location is very cool in a converted prison but after that I wouldn't say there is any reason to visit. Inside the restaurant was okay. The lady helping us didn't seem to want to help in comparison to how she was interacting with the other tables. In regard to the food I did find it a little salty (I ordered the lobster meatballs) Overall, considering the price you are paying I don't think it's worth it and I would not go with the intention of celebrating an event!

VERY PRICEY FOR THE FOOD THEY OFFER! EVER COMING HERE AGAIN!! i came here for my BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION and my friends got me a very nice cake. They informed the waiter to get the cake after dinner and he did not say anything. They got the cake, i blew the candles, the waiter took the cake for cutting and getting the pieces, and suddenly the manager comes and says "chef is embarrassed that we got the cake and we are charging you $3 for cutting every piece of your cake which is total of $15". As if "THE CHEF" is going to give me a cake he baked. They were getting a brownie with an icecream from the chef!!!!!!!! They charged us money for cutting our cake which we did not even tell them to. They could have said this earlier but they only said right before they were getting the cake pieces for us. WE WERE SHOCKED. the pastas are not so okay for the prices they put. I would say if you want the vibe then yes but not the food at all.

On a Thursday evening in February, reserved to start dinner at 5:30pm, the restaurant was moderately full by 7pm. The atmosphere was lively, low lit and very pleasant. Our waiter was very pleasant, but clearly not trained well (he’d been working there a year we later found out). . He knew very little about many items on the menu, and overcompensated when things coming out of the kitchen, unfortunately, were not good. The food - chef and owner Lydia is resting on her laurels. Tomatoes in the caprese salad were unripened, even hard. The special was a cooked swordfish with sweet potato risotto, asparagus tempura, and accompaniments. My husband and I both ordered it. Each dish, on arrival, however, was different ~ my husband’s had no asparagus (instead salad on top of the fish!) and the risotto had no sweet potato taste .. more like saffron. But the worst was that the swordfish was RAW. One bite showed no seasoning at all. We had to return them. Just disgusting fish. Dessert of pavlova was terrible .. hardly any berries as advertised and the sauce on it was more like a gloppy pudding. At 7:00,pm we noticed a woman at the bar with a chefs apron asking the manager to turn on the tv (which was over our heads and affected two other tables too). The manager turned on the tv which was glaringly bright and none of the tables wanted on - but there was the manager ruining the ambience and it turned out that the person requesting the tv be on .. was the owner/chef Lydia. She was loudly insisting it be turned on. We asked nicely if they could turn it off as everyone wanted a dimly lit dinner. And WHY was the chef out of the kitchen at 7:00 with a now full restaurant, sitting and drinking at her bar?? The final insult was the bill .. they charged us $10 for 3 bread sticks, which they brought at the beginning of our evening, which we never asked for). The WORST $200 dinner ever. Chef Lydia isn’t doing her job and the results are substandard food we could get at any low brow restaurant. Don’t eat here - just not worth your while.

I hate writing 1 star reviews because honestly I don’t think it’s even worth it but I feel it necessary given the fact that I just dropped 166 dollars here and couldn’t even get myself to finish the food. I’ll keep this short, our food took 40 minutes to come out. We ordered 1 cold appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 drink. The appetizer we got was underwhelming and the tomatoes weren’t ripe. The pieces of mozzarella let’s just say I was wondering where the rest was. We got the steak and it somehow came out burnt and cold at the same time. The potatoes that came with the steak came out cold. As for my pasta all that I can describe it as was oily and was bad enough that I declined a take away box. Now if you would’ve told me this was from the cheese cake factory and I paid 60 bucks for all of it I’d be less frustrated but it’s for the reason that a restaurant demanding 80 dollars for a steak that they messed up so bad …. Idk it’s just crazy to me. Service was mid at best and the best service of the night was from the valet staff. If you’re looking for a nice place for pasta , go to pammys or tonino. Don’t fall for this place it’s over hyped, over priced, and not worth it.

Its sad to say the car service was better than the service we received from the restaurant itself. The food was decent but we honestly felt ignored all night. Our server could have gotten 2-3 more cocktails and more food out of us but it took so long for someone to come check on us, we were finished our food and ready to leave. Even after telling them we were celebrating a birthday we still were being avoided all night.
