Went for Valentine’s Day with a reservation, but in the past have tried to walk ins with no avail (unless you want to wait hours). I had the 8 oz steak, which I usually don’t order, but was pleasantly surprised. The only annoying thing was that you had to separately order a side which was an extra cost but the mash potatoes were also super good. We also got the braised short ribs - also fantastic. I would definitely come back for an occasional dinner as it’s a little pricy but the food was great.
Totally recommending!!! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was so great and our waiter Adrien was unbelievable! We have had a great time! Thank you so much for everything Bricco and we are for sure going to get back
Volmar was a most excellent waiter. I'm not a wine drinker but he served me a white wine that paired excellent with my seafood dish. Dirty martini & espresso martini were next level. My post indicates $100+ per person but we had five drinks between us. I'd suggest a reservation but this place is top notch!
During my most recent trip up here I stopped in to enjoy some Italian food. We had been told Little Italy was a must go place for food. We were also told the Espresso Martini was delicious and one of the best the person had had. Nothing here was a disappointment. The drinks and food were so beautifully cooked and this was my favorite meal of the entire stay. It looked like reservations are probably a good thing to have as the bar was the only walk in place. It is a big bar and I'm so glad we got to try this place. Plus the Espresso Martini may be the best so far.
Boston’s favorite realtor here with another food review. Honestly, this has become me and my fiancée’s go-to spot for the last four years. We plan to go in the north end multiple times per month and somehow revert to just coming back to Bricco. The waitstaff are some of the nicest in the whole city and very educated on the menu. If I was to pick two things, you absolutely need to try. It’s the Chilean Seabass dish that they have and the pumpkin tortellini. For desert get the pistachio one, cannot remember the exact name. Thank me later lo. Also, if you’re interested in purchasing a home nearby, feel free to reach out to Homie Realty group.
I had an amazing birthday dinner at Bricco, thanks to the delicious food and friendly staff. They were kind enough to write me a birthday message on my dessert! We had the garganelli and farfalle- both were so delicious. The zucchini flowers were a highlight. Bread with dipping sauces was a nice detail- a step above just olive oil. The atmosphere was clean, warm, and intimate- I loved the brick and wood everywhere. Thanks so much for a memorable birthday dinner- I’ll be returning!
The food was really good, and you can tell the dishes are made with fresh, handmade pasta. The desserts are also delicious, especially the Sfera di Pistacchio and the Bread Pudding. But honestly, what made the whole experience even better was the service. Our server, Samir, was amazing , very attentive, friendly, and always checking in at the right moments without making us feel rushed. We’d definitely come back when we’re in Boston again.
Outstanding meal at Bricco. We made reservations for four of us to celebrate a birthday and Bricco did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly upon arrival (Mason, consummate host and manager!) And shown to a table in the middle of the dining room. While the tables are close, it did not feel like the other tables were intruding on our experience. The wife's Farfalle Tartufate was delicious, but the notable dishes at the table were the Veal Ossobuco and the Pappardelle al Chinghale. Both dishes were expertly prepared and melted in your mouth. My Mediterranean Salad was perfectly cool and crisp. Capping off the meal was a wonderful Bread Pudding, a type of Banana Fosters and a round of Sambucca. We never felt rushed, the table service was excellent, and the overall ambiance was warm and homey. Well done Bricco for a special night!
Traditional Italian cuisine with excellent food and super friendly staff in a beautiful scenery. Every little detail made the stay most enjoyable - entering the restaurant with classic dark furniture, small stairs to reach a large dining room for our group of 20 people, that inviting Italian busy-ness, enjoying life … and on top of that, tasty wine and delicious food, with our waiter remembering every order, and where it is to be served, at the same time, 20 times. Thanks for the amazing experience!
🌟 Unforgettable Dining Experience at Bricco! 🌟 Dining at Bricco was an absolute delight from beginning to end. The inviting atmosphere, beautifully prepared and flavorful food, and the exceptional service provided by Wolmar truly made the evening special. Wolmar went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and memorable experience. His attentiveness, knowledge of the menu, and genuine warmth made us feel completely at ease. He expertly selected our order, and his recommendations were spot-on. His impeccable timing ensured that each dish arrived just when we were ready, and he checked in with us at the perfect moments. The dishes themselves were a culinary masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and flavors that lingered long after the last bite made every dish a treat. From appetizers to dessert, everything was crafted with precision and passion. If you’re seeking a place where the food is fantastic and the service makes you feel like royalty, Briccoo is the place to be. And if you’re fortunate enough to be served by Wolmar, you’re in for an extraordinary culinary experience. Highly recommend!
Had an amazing experience at Bricco in Boston's North End! The vibe was cozy yet lively, and the food did not disappoint. If you're not sure what to order, ask for Gisela at the bar — she's super friendly and really knows her stuff. She recommended a pasta dish that was absolutely 10/10. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
After a long weekend of driving, hockey tournaments, kids, fast food dinners, traffic and shopping, it was time for my husband and I to have a dinner that was delicious, comforting and provided with respectful and thoughtful service. Bricco brought it all and it was exactly what I wanted and needed. Yes it was loud in the restaurant. Yes it was bustling. Yes, it's tight with other humans. But isn't that the energetic authentic vibe you've been missing when you just want to be served and well fed and for only for one night and not have a care in a chaotic world? Love this place.
Great meal! This is the second time we've eaten at Bricco in the last 3 years and it did not disappoint. We took our friends who were traveling with us. We had a 6:16pm reservation for a Saturday night in September and the place was super busy. We checked in and got seated right away - upstairs. I knew my wife wouldn't be happy with having climb the stairs but what was nice up there was that it was much less noisier than the main level. Alex was our server and she was fun and great. We started with drinks and the included bread. Two of us had wine and two of us had Old-fashioneds. They muddle their fruit here. Not my preference but it the drinks ended up being 'okay'. The bread was soft and the spreads offered were tasty. We ordered our dinners as follows: - Beef Short Rib on Mashed Potatoes (I subbed the potatoes as polenta was standard) - Sea Bass on a Potato Cake - 8oz Beef Tenderloin Filet - Salmon - Side: Creamed Parmesan Spinach - Side: Roasted Brussels Sprouts - Side: Gnocchi with Lobster My Beef Short Rib was amazingly tender and tasty. My wife's Sea Bass was probably the best her or I have ever had. The preparation was unusual and amazing. My friend's Beef Filet was so tasty and tender - likely Prime grade. I did try my friend's wife's Salmon but she enjoyed it. We were too full to try any of Bricco's dessert but had I had room, I was considering their Bread Pudding. In our experience, reservations are a must for dinner at Bricco. If you're going all out, each ordering their own meal and some sides, it's going to be $$$. Knowing that going it - it was an amazing meal.
We had the absolute best time dining here! The food was authentic, flavorful, and truly excellent from start to finish. What made the night even more special was our amazing waiter, Vuvu. He had us laughing the entire time and made us feel like we were part of his own family. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Delicious food paired with genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to come back!
For the past 10 years, we’ve celebrated our anniversary at Bricco’s, and today was extra special as we marked our 24th. The food was, as always, amazing and the service outstanding (thank you, Manuel!). We never skip the bread pudding—it somehow gets better every year. Highly recommend Bricco’s, as well as their sister restaurants: Umbria and Quattro (home to fantastic pizza).
I’ve been a fan of the North End for 25 years. This was our first experience dining at Bricco. We enjoyed a wonderful evening of superb service from Alexa. Her wine and food suggestions were excellent. Our entrees were the Fettuccine Carbonara and 7-Spice Brick Chicken, both absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is North End cozy. Definitely worth a return visit.
Very spot for a pre or post dinner drink! Their martinis are always delicious. Bar is two sided and has plenty of room. Also be sure to check out their market located on the side alley in the back.

Excellent dinner in the North End. Place is packed make sure you get reservations we made ours on Open Table. Food and service were great.
The atmosphere was cozy, the service was top notch, but the food, while aesthetically pleasing, is surprisingly quite average. We ordered zucchini flowers, a filet, double mashed potatoes, creamy spinach, chittarine, spaghettoni al pomodoro, farfalle tartufate, tiramisu, creme brulee and the bread pudding. Only two of those dishes stood out and that was the zucchini flowers and the tiramisu. Most everything else was pretty bland or average at best. Overall our experience was pleasant but we weren't very impressed with the food. Side note: replace dirty or ripped menus, it's not a great first impression to open a menu and see stains.
My first Dine Out Boston 2026 Winter visit: Bricco, awarded "Best Espresso Martini" in Best of Boston 2025. The award went to the cocktails; when it comes to dishes, while the portions were generous, the quality was relatively ordinary. Table Bread: The bread was a bit hard and prickly in mouth. Three sauces were served: cannellini purée was purely bean-flavor, light and understated; pesto had a rich nutty aroma and a subtle garlic aftertaste; roasted garlics were soft and delicate with a gentle garlic flavor. My personal favorite was the pesto—the most fragrant and layered. Meatballs: The meatballs were large, firm, and somewhat chewy, but not quite up to the claim of "Boston’s best from certified Angus beef" on the menu. The tomato sauce was average. The ricotta's moist texture, light milky aroma, and the Parmigiano's firm texture and rich fermented aroma were the biggest pluses of the dish. The Crostini was excessively crumbly, jarring whether paired with the meatballs or used to clean the plate. Honestly, I was already feeling full by this point… Risotto: Best of the meal, 4.5 stars on its own. The tomato sauce was different from the meatballs; it was authentically Italian, with a crisp, refreshing acidity. Biting into the cherry tomatoes released a burst of flavor— be careful, for those who can't handle sourness. The rice was perfectly cooked, firm yet tender, each grain separate. The seafood, including scallops, squid, shrimp, and salmon, was all very fresh, firm, and bouncy. It was the first time I'd seen salmon in risotto; thankfully, the fishy taste was well removed, otherwise, the combination with the tomatoes would have been a disaster. Blueberry Cheesecake: The blueberries were practically nonexistent. Think of it as a New York-style cheesecake topped with white chocolate. It was extremely thick and creamy, like ice cream, but also incredibly sweet, making my mouth and throat feeling smothered. I had to alternate between a bite of cake and a sip of ice water to barely finish it. P.S. The lighting was so dim I couldn't see the food at all. Holding a DSLR camera in one hand while using a light in the other was exhausting.
Great late night spot for drinks...The staff was super friendly, and the dress was casual...we also ordered food it was okay nothing to write home about order a cheese pizza looks way better then it tasted...but drinks were on point and the bartender was super cool chick that lived in Chicago that made up for the pizza lol...Will definitely go back for some late night drinks again when we are in Boston next time. 100% recommend!

Wouldn't recommend for Dine Out Boston Would not recommend Dine Out Boston at Bricco. Went with three friends and none of us were blown away with our meals. The starters were fine, but the mains were not very good. My steak tasted like it was from the Outback, which no disrespect to the chain down under, it's just not what you'd expect more from somewhere in the North End. The mashed potatoes were fine, but the spinach was legitimately dreadful. When I'm at home and in a pinch, I put some spinach into a bowl, add a little water, throw it in the microwave, and out comes a soggy/wet amalgam of veggie I stuff down because it's good for me. This tasted exactly the same. It felt like it came right out of a can for Popeye the Sailor Man. I forced it down because again, it was good for me, but was just frustrated with having paid so much for the meal. It didn't have any flavor but wet spinach. The dessert, blueberry cheesecake, was overall fine, but tasted like it was sitting in a fridge all day and they needed to let it thaw out because it got too cold, which we all joked was maybe why it took so long. My friends mains were the pillows which they again said were fine, but didn't taste the best quality. I guess overall I wouldn't recommend Dine Out Boston at Bricco, because they clearly just go bottom of the barrel for the meal to get folks in the door. I'm sure their regular food is good, but just again wouldn't recommend there for this particular meal. Absolutely not worth the $55 price tag.
If you're going to come to the North End I do not recommend this restaurant. I was not asked what I want to drink for over 10 minutes . The prices are medium. They gave bread it was cold and the dips had no flavor. I ordered filet mignon which was actually good, asparagus was overcooked. I ordered a lobster gnocchi is there looks very sloppy wet with absolutely no flavor, i returned it and got gnocchi with tomato sauce which was actually good. The espresso Martini was good. Creme brule was good. If you want traditional Italian this is not the place.
