We come here often for the gluten free menu. We loved sitting at the bar and Drew, the bartender, was phenomenal! Recommend the World Famous Bushwhacker! So good. Also, recently enjoyed this group of moms who were full of energy on a Monday at 4pm.
Absolutely loved our visit to LuLu’s! The food was excellent and the service was wonderful from start to finish. We really enjoyed the great atmosphere, especially with the live music playing. It makes for such a perfect combination. Plus, having plenty of parking right there at Barefoot Landing made the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommend!
I Live in Myrtle Beach and hate to drive in traffic to N Myrtle Beach. However we decided to go to LuLu. I have the best dining experience there. Atmosphere with a Live singer was nice. The price was very good for what I ordered Fried shrimp and the fixing. Hey Locals they still serve hush puppies with their dinners. It was very busy. However the wait to get our food was very short. All the food great tasting and hot. Our waitress was Taylor. She was very pleasant and efficient. I asked for sauce and hush puppies. Sh has them there within a few minutes. I highly it you visiting us. plan to have a dinner here David S. Myrtle Beach
In retrospect, this place was even bigger than I realized! It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night, but then again, Myrtle Beach is typically not as visited during Christmas season, so that could have been why. I wasn't feeling my best and I didn't have a great appetite the night my mom and I dined here, so I'm happy to say that the food wasn't super rich or anything, and I was able to eat it and digest it perfectly well, so points for that! As for what I did eat, we both just had some fried shrimp, french fries, and hush puppies; A classic seafood meal for the beach! The atmosphere itself is rather impressive! They have other locations in other states and I guess they're all affiliated with the legendary Jimmy Buffett and his family, hence the name, and there are pictures in other memorabilia and paraphernalia related to the celebrity all over the place. The restaurant is also rather large and there is plenty of seating, which I definitely noticed since like I said before, there weren't a whole lot of people here when I was there. There is a rather large bar area and there was live music, and the cool thing about that was the bathrooms had speakers inside so you could still hear the music while you were actively doing your business. How cool is that? Upon entering the restaurant, I did notice that there was an area with some sort of ropes course and an arcade, but I didn't know that they were related to the restaurant, so I guess you can play over there while you're waiting on your food or something. That's pretty cool and not a whole lot of places have a feature like that, so if that's really part of the restaurant's property, extra points for that! If that still wasn't enough, they have a moderately sized gift shop as well! All this to say, I definitely recommend this place!
Such a fun place and the best fried chicken. My 6 year old is hard to please and loved the fries and chicken so much I had to go back the next day to do take out which was just as good. The sand play area was clean and the kids had fun running around they keep asking to go back and had the best time at the arcade as well. Might do take out again before leaving.
We have a group of older adults from the Charlotte NC area...yep..senior citizens...who make a trip together every year the first weekend of October to hang out and enjoy what Mrytle Beach has to offer....we visit a different restaurant each night....we arrived at Lulu's in North Myrtle Beach at 6pm on Saturday night October 4th 2025 expecting 15 people from our group to arrive and eat together. The hostess was unbelievable...She did everything she could to find us a great location inside to have our group all together...Bravo..she was awesome...we ended up with 22 people from our group...one who was blind..several on walkers....and several with walking issues....the hostess jumped right into action and made room for the additional folks that came to join us.....aweome job.....Then our waitress..Peggy..jumped into action....she was the best...very helpful..very attentive... very patient in helping with food choices...top notch service from this great lady....she never complained...not once the whole evening. She always had a smile and did what ever she could to make our visit a wonderful experience...Peggy is a true example of great service and Southern Hospitality. Top notch job to all of the staff.....and the food was excellent......Thank you to all at Lulu's.....we will see you again first weekend in October next year
We heard the live music as we were walking by and decided to pop in for a couple drinks this evening. We found a couple seats at the bar and we knew right away that it was going to be a blast! The environment is open and welcoming and there was a perfect breeze blowing through. The staff all seemed happy, they were welcoming, friendly and helpful. But the star of the show by far was definitely DREW! Not only did he ensure that we never had empty cups but he was an amazing conversationalist as well! We laughed together and he even gave a few recommendations of places nearby and in Murrell's Inlet also for us to check out. A huge thanks to him and hope we run into him again!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an absolute blast at LuLu’s! We arrived by boat which made the whole experience even more fun. The girls loved playing in the sand while we relaxed, enjoyed some great food, and had a few drinks. The atmosphere was lively, colorful, and family-friendly — the perfect mix of laid-back and upbeat. Service was excellent, and everything came out fresh and tasty.
All of the food was spot on. Hurricane drink was flavorful but not too sweet Chips and dip - we got the salsa and queso Crab melt (loved it so much I bought Lucy’s cookbook so I can make it at home) Key west bowl with grilled chicken Grouper kids meal Open and spacious with seating inside and out. They had a sand area outside with games and water to play in.
Came in for a big family lunch on a Friday and had a lovely time! They seated our party of 8 right away and our server was quick, kind and personable, always keeping our drinks full. The atmosphere is just lovely: both clean and relaxing! The food was very flavorful and came out hot. I recommend the fried okra appetizer, the sauce it comes with is just perfection. My favorite things we ordered were the Shrimp and Grits (which also has sausage mixed in) and the Jerk Chicken Sandwhich (which came with grilled pineapple) they were both *chef’s kiss*! Would definitely visit again whether for date night, lunch with the girls, or family get together. Seems ADA friendly with lots of space between tables and a ground level entry way, also seems very kid friendly.
We came to Lu Lu’s for lunch and arrived when they first opened. We browsed the gift shop which had a wide assortment of merchandise. We requested to sit by the water and they were more than happy to accommodate us. We got the salsa and queso for our appetizer. It was very good and had a decent portion for 2-3 people. We then ordered the Jerk chicken sandwich with a side of fries and the key west bowl with grilled chicken for our entrees. The chicken sandwich was cooked to perfection and was not dry, the pineapple and bacon complimented it well. The fries were crispy but did not have a greasy taste which was a nice add on. The key west bowl was very good, the mix of ingredients blended well and the wow sauce complimented the dish very nicely. The sauces are on the side they do not come on the meal. Overall our experience was very pleasant and I would definitely eat here again!
LuLu is the sister of Jimmy Buffet! Fun Fact given to us by our amazing waitress Darla :) This was such a cool place with an amazing menu that was so diverse it was hard to make 1 choice. I decided to get the Crab Melt, which was amazing! My husband got the new Pot Roast sandwich, and my daughter loved the grilled shrimp (Came with 8 large shrimp), and my son loved the chicken and hushpuppies!! Everything was truly excellent. Darla was amazing, so friendly, and very attentive. I would definitely go to this location again. We were in North Myrtle at Barefoot Landing.
I got the fried green tomato BLT and my daughter got the crab melt. The BLT was great! The fries are fries they are ok. The crab melt was new for us, we are not big crab eaters so it was ok for us. If you like crab and cheese it’s the way to go. Over all it was a good experience. We will be back.
The staff is their best feature. The hostess and our waitress, Ellen, friendly and efficient. Plenty of room inside, clean, and big tables but like a warehouse so a bit hard to hear and talk. The food was a solid 3: way overseasoned but out quickly and hot. The live music group was a plus but the acoustics were not their friend.
We came here for my birthday after searching Google for some places with music, great food and service. Finding this place was a challenge – it is located in the back so take the alley all the way to the end and you’ll see it. The place is huge, friendly, great location, amazing views and nice people. There was no wait at 4 pm and we were seated promptly. The chairs where like sitting in chairs at the beach – with slopes. I didn’t really like this. There were not that many people there upon arrival but more people started arriving. We were here about an hour. Our server was Ashleigh G and she was wonderful. Fried green tomatoes $6.00 were OK compared to what I’ve had before. The music was ok and I believe a live band was setting up. We ordered Quesadilla Shrimp Entrée $15.00 with mac & cheese $5.00 and the Big Fry Basket $58.00. Teas were $7.50. Our subtotal before tax was $91.50 and total $119.42 with 20% tip. The fried entrée came with french fries, and hush puppies as well. I was excited to try the Unicorn fish and Fried Crab Claws. I can say I tried it and the crab claws were mini claws and a lot of work. I had a lot of food to take with me but did not eat it as planned. There is also a huge gift shop there too but we did not venture into.
Very good breakfast experience. I had eggs Benedict over top of crabcakes. Very unique that's a first for me. Very well done I do recommend them. My son-in-law had that giant chicken biscuit! It's enough for two people. The server was a young man entering his junior year college He was a real pleasure to talk with and definitely has his head on straight. He will be a great success one day.
It was our first time at LuLu’s. Great location in Barefoot Landing. We sat on the patio under the sunset. We were there on the 4th of July holiday but our table wait was no more than 50 minutes. Food was good. We started with a salad which came with homemade blue cheese dressing and fresh crumbles. It was so good. We also had the chips and queso along with fried green tomatoes sandwiches and a cup of gumbo. The salad and gumbo was my fav. The fried green tomatoes were too thick for my liking. My oyster po boy sandwich was also good. Paul provided us with exceptional service.
We order the Smoked Tuna Dip appetizer which was very good. For entrees we ordered the Shrimp & Grits which was also very good. The 3 stars comes from the Half & Half Seafood Combo. This was whopping $35 for mostly French fries and 6 shrimp and 6 oysters. Was not impressed.
First time at this restaurant, and will likely be the last. It's a spin on Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville but with a southern flair. Menu is expansive and is what one would expect for a southern seafood based place. Some nuances include fried green tomatoes and homemade tartar sauce. I ordered the Unicorn Fish Sandwich, grilled. Yes, Unicorn Fish is real. It is light flakey and would be tasty on its own, however... the grilled option was overwhelmed with lemon pepper and SALT. It was way too salty. The bun was decent but just so much of it. Most of the dish was bread. Fries came with it and were pretty good. Adrian was our server and did an excellent job. When our meal came out, most of it was correct. We ended up with dishes we didn't order, but the place was so busy that they let us keep it. So I also got to try the Shrimp Tacos. Those were much better. They were served with red cabbage, shredded cheese and what is called WOW Sauce. Not much wow to it though. It's just sour cream with blackened seasoning. Bring your wallet because it's expensive! It's an open air atmosphere, so if it's hot outside, it's hot inside. One redeeming quality: if you have food allergies, they take it very seriously here so DO speak up.
I recently visited the North Myrtle location of Lulu's with my two grandsons ages 4 and 7, my son and daughter-in-law and significant other. It was a Tuesday night around 6 pm. There were only about 10 tables seated and I counted 5 servers on the floor and 2 bartenders. We waited more than 10 minutes for our server to acknowledge us, then waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. The food took 40 minutes. It was all very disappointing. It was barely warm. The shrimp and crab gumbo that my son ordered had no shrimp and no crab. We are in the seafood capital of the South and there was no seafood in the gumbo. I ordered the fried green tomato BLT. The bread was hard as a rock. The fried green tomatoes were lukewarm and it was an incredibly disappointing sandwich. I substituted onion rings for french fries and they were barely warm . My significant other order the brisket sandwich. There was very little meat on the sandwich but he said the taste was good . I don't appreciate that I had to wait another 10 minutes for a to go box that my son actually went to the waitress stand and got for me because the server totally forgot. With so many places to eat in Myrtle Beach..... It was a huge disappointment and I will not be returning.
I ordered the shrimp and blue crab gumbo but they didn’t have it so I ordered the chicken and sausage gumbo. I didn’t like the flavor at all. I also ordered the guacamole and chips and I didn’t like the guacamole either. I really wanted to love the food and looked forward to going but I’m sorry it just was not for me. The atmosphere was nice though and it’s a cute set up. The gift shop is nice but it is high priced compared to others in the area. You are paying for the family name I’m sorry to say. We ordered the blue crab claws as an appetizer. It was $40.00!!!!! 😬…..
