We were seated right away with another small group. Ordered our drinks and appetizers. Sheiff came and put on an amazing performance while cooking our meal. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely good food. Great waiters, but the cooks at the teppanyaki grill need to tone it down a bit. It is not an amusement parc, but a Japanese restaurant.

Nice portions, could use a bit more seasoning. Was kind of cold by the time I got it home. Update:we went for dining in, it was nice the food was delicious and the cook was amazing, he was really funny. Everyone we encountered was nice and service was good.

Lunchtime didn't have much of a wait, but if you have a smaller sized group, the tables hold 10 so they'll seat you with another group -- just get chummy & friendly! Salmon, chicken & garlic rice were the biggest hits. Daughter loved the scallops. Chef was amazing and fun, but servers were busy even with a not-busy restaurant...a few reminders for drink refills. Increase in prices was sharp, but plenty of rice at least. The chef "show" might be worth coming again, for a birthday.

The place was a busy atmosphere! They had regular seating and tepan table! My first time coming here and it was nice. Good vibes, great food, and staff were ok. I really like the cold Apple sake. Our waitress Sophia was very sweet and quick. The cook however was VERY messy, dropping good outside of plates and knocking over a glass. Unfortunately, the place also charges 18% tax upfront for any group 4 or larger. We ended up with a big check and not so great experience. Sushi was very generous in size.

Went there for the first time with my sister, who spoke highly of the place. We were seated near the bar pretty quickly. We waited over ten minutes before we were acknowledged by our server, which I can’t blame him since we was the bartender. We ordered a tuna sushi roll which wasn’t bad. I ordered a teppanyaki with scallops and fillet. The fillet was stringy/chewy and looked like it was tenderized. I initially didn’t see the scallops but found them under the rice and five pounds of soggy vegetables. The miso soup was also pretty fishy tasting. The only decent thing on the plate was the garlic rice.

It had been a long time since I had the opportunity to have a meal with family at Shirasoni. It was one of our parents favorites. It definitely lacked the vibe of past and the food was mediocre at best.

So I gave this place a 2 star. Why? 1. We were seated at a table that barely fit 4. We were a party of five so the tables are too small. 2. Our waitress was very new, she did ok taking or drink order then we ordered only appetizers because we had 2 more people coming. They were just trying to find parking. I specifically asked to have our appetizers served first so we could eat them with our drinks. We got or first appetizer, fried calamari and it was literally COLD. My husband sent it back. By that time we ordered our entrees. We got our entrees together with our appetizers, it took about 1.5 hours to get or food. We ordered a second set of cocktails that took even longer even with 2 bartenders and a runner to get our drinks. So my suggestion is to get better organized with the wait staff and be more attentive to what the customers wants are. It was not a very enjoyable experience. We spent over $200 dollars and would have spent more had the service been better, more organized, we didn't even get any silverware or small plates. We literally had to ask the runner to please get us player and silverware and napkins so we can eat or food. The portions were a bit small and too expensive. We won't be coming back.

Let me start by saying that I was a big fan of Shirasoni in Brentwood until now. I ordered the Samurai Tepanaki which included steak (medium rare), lobster, veggies and garlic rice. I ordered it through Grub Hub on there site and picked it up myself. When I got home and opened the bag I saw that it all of it was completely overcooked and burned with black burned specks all over all of the food and it was tasteless and inedible. The cook should be ashamed to cook and send this garbage out to anyone. It should have gone straight in the garbage. I immediately called the restaurant to complain and was told that I had to contact Grub Hub for a refund because it was ordered through them. I told the woman that the only reason I ordered through them was because it prompted me to do so. I asked for a manager to call me back and was told that their manager Shantell would call me back this was Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026 and I still haven't heard back. I did call Grub Hub and was suppose to get a refund but it hasn't posted to my account yet. I'll give it another day before I contact them again.

I always come to eat here with family but this past few times hasn’t been that great with service but Food has been okay. today I decided to give it a try for lunch time and order a happy roll ,” one of my favorite rolls. so I’m very familiar of what it should taste . ( it was a pick up order).. very disappointing when I opened the plate (“just by looking at it I already knew it wasn’t going to be joyful”) flavor was awful 🤢 can’t even describe it, everything had a a very unpleasant weird taste. Not all of the rolls had that special sauce, but the ones that did was just a simple dot. It almost felt like if they had given me a plate that was just sitting there all morning and never got picked up . After today I don’t think I will enjoy any sushi roll the same. I felt sick to my stomach

Even though the restaurant was not very busy, the service was very poor. We were not greeted promptly, despite there being 2 people at the front desk. Eventually, we just decided to sit at the bar. The service there was slow as well. We ordered miso soup to get started, but we sent it back because it was cold. The staff do not seem to have any pride in their work.

Waitress brought a soiled steak knife when I requested a knife (used, not clean). It came with salad with too much dressing and mushroom soup. We ordered the Sponge Bob Roll, Sake Bomb Roll, Giant Maki Roll. All were pretty bland and no unique flavors and unremarkable. Our tab was $154 (before the tip). Hate saying that I would not recommend. Sorry. I bet the drinks are good.

I will never order from Shirasoni again. I've repeatedly asked for extra sauce for the tuna appetizer and Happy Roll. They have a special sauce for each. The last 3 times there has been no sauce period, let alone extra sauce. Tonight was the last straw. Below are pictures of how my food arrived. Almost $60 and I'm done.
