Could have been the best pasta dish I've ever eaten. Plus good size portions unlike many NYC fine dining restaurants. The staff is friendly and attentive and made us feel at home.

The best pasta in Brooklyn. Excellent service. An incredible wine program. This is a gem. The pasta is homemade and made from scratch. The chittera and parpardelle pastas are exceptional. The focaccia is literally the best I’ve ever had and sells out fast. I had the little gem salad absolutely perfect. This restaurant is one of the best in Brooklyn.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Pastas were exceptional, salads were refreshing, simple, and addictive. Wine list is was amazing with very affordable unique selections. So glad I finally came in!

Great new Italian restaurant in Park Slope. Modern neighborhood feel and upbeat vibe. Wonderful menu and thoughtful wine list, with attention to great values from Italy. Food was delicious, full stop. In particular, we loved the soft boiled egg with mushrooms and Faro, the orecchiette with slow cooked pork, and the lamb chops. Topped off with excellent service; it was an altogether great first visit. We'll be back soon.

Took friends here from out of town and was blown away by the food, wine and service. I am shocked I have never been here before, as it really ticks all my boxes. The vibe and decor is great, friendly and attentive staff and most importantly food that is made with care and passion. This place will now be in regular my rotation.

Incredible! Food is excellent, very cute environment. I was pleasantly surprised they had so many dishes that were vegetarian. Nicely curated bar offerings.

I can't say enough good things about Fausto! It's become the fabulous dining room I've always wanted in my (tiny, Studio) apartment. The staff is so genuinely friendly and helpful. I'm not sure where they were able to find such lovely people. The food is consistently above par and delicious. I can't tell you how many people I have sent over there and I highly recommend everyone check it out (and don't forget to have some of the unbelievable Amaro).

Terrific place. My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner Sunday night. We had Brussels sprouts and delicata squash. I still can’t tell which one was better. We also had cappelletti and cavatelli. Amazing pasta! And finally but not last, the market fish. Truly fresh and tasty. Oh and don’t forget to try their Braulio ice cream ;)

This place was so good, I forgot to take a photo of my meal and the ambiance. I literally inhaled my black bass meal 😩 The customer service was also amazing! My husband and I will revisit again soon. I’ll try to get a picture the next time around for y’all 😅 I took this photo from their Instagram page. Follow them on insta for meal ideas.

Fantastic food! Their choice of music was strange for such a nice restaurant. Blondie etc which I like, but over the din of conversation it just sounded like noise. I would definitely go back, their food was fantastic. Excellent service too.

L
Lauren Comunale

Excellent homemade pasta and focaccia! I loved the bite and texture of the whole wheat chitarra. The little gem salad is super fresh and helps cut through the richness of the carb dishes. Dishes are well portioned and there is an extensive drink menu in addition to the wine. Recommend booking a reservation in advance.

Fantastic experience at Fausto. Food was excellent as well as the wine suggestion from sommelier. We had the arancini which is def worth trying if you love arancini. The orecchiette was delightful and the pork was perfect. For dessert the olive oil cake did NOT disappoint although we scrapped off the marmalade because we weren't a fan.

L

I absolutely love Fausto! Every time I go the food is delicious and seasonal. The staff is so friendly and accommodating of food allergies and restrictions. The wine is lovely as well! Highly recommend

Solid wine list, authentic pastas. Very attentive staff and ambiance is also a 10. My go-to Italian joint whenever I am in Brooklyn. That said, I rarely venture out to Brooklyn. Wish it was in Manhattan, as it’s tough to justify the Uber rides if going solely for Fausto.

Love love love this place! We had ordered take out a bunch and fell in love, but somehow still hadn't made it in person yet. TLDR: if you're considering this place, go for it. If you're not considering this place, consider this place. We were blown away. As good as everything was via takeout, in person it was on another level. The design is impeccable and there's a great buzz without being too loud. The service was fantastic and helpful. But the food was center stage - we had the burrata salad and each element was outstanding. The cheese itself was rich but somehow light, and the salad around it would have been one of my all time favorite salads even without the burrata. The whole wheat chittara with mushrooms was already a favorite for take out, and was mind blowing in person. We shared the whole porgy, which was perfectly done and delicious. Then we finished up with the hazelnut pannacotta which was light and wonderful. Go here!

Beautiful ambience and memorable dishes. But what rose to the top was absolutely phenomenal service at Fausto. On a busy Wednesday night we were so well taken care. During such hard times for restaurants and dining, we really appreciated our evening and service received at Fausto.

Really loved Gemelli dish though I never liked pea pasta. Flavorful and not to heavy! Focaccia is worth a try. Little gem salad was really fresh! Service was a top notch. Can’t wait to try other dishes next time!

Excellent restaurant and fabulous dishes! Loved the cauliflower appetizer and the fettuccine in particular. Only let down was olive oil cake.

K
Kasenya K.H

We had a delicious meal here the other week. The grilled octopus with Israeli couscous and olives is a must (if they still have it). The arancini were the best I’ve had outside of Italy and the pastas were all very, very good. I wasn’t a fan of the Savoie wine we had, but I do think they have a well thought-out wine list, good cocktails, and nice servers. Will be back!

A
Aubrey Borrell

We tried this spot last night via Caviar - it was excellent. The gemelli pasta with peas and spring onions I thought would be underwhelming, but the lemony buttery white wine sauce on it, freshness of the peas and layers of flavors was so delicious. The veal bolognese was also delicious in flavor. My only complaint about that dish would be that some bites were very gritty, like sandy grit, which I am assuming had something to do with the veal and wasn’t very appetizing. It wasn’t very saucy either which I think would have made it a little less dry, but overall the flavors again were delicious and developed. The olive oil cake with rhubarb compute was INSANE. One of the most simple, decadent, luxurious and delicious desserts I have ever had. The gemelli dish and olive oil cake were 10/10. We will definitely try this restaurant again.

A
Alexandra “Ale” Paredes

Fausto is a great spot for a date or to go with friends. Their wine selection is excellent and also their cocktails. I love their bolognese pasta. I would recommend also trying their seasonal dishes. You can’t wrong!

nice vibe inside and great food - the ragu and mushroom pasta and radicchio salad were cooked to perfection with richness and flavor that you feel like is worth spending for

Great selection of pastas which were all very flavourful and excellent. The lamb ragu pasta, the shrimp pasta and the cauliflower starter were my favourites. The desserts were also very good especially the mozzarella ice cream. The service was also good.

Delicious pasta, excellent service and stylish interiors 🤩 We came for my wife’s birthday and had two starters to share (Housemade Focaccia and fried Arancini balls), one plate of pasta each, and the olive cake with apricot as a dessert. The starters were good, but the pasta won us over and blew our minds! Fausto offers an extensive selection of wines, and the cocktails are delicious as well. Also, the service was very attentive, and overall we had a great time and will return. PS: Having a candle on our cake was a sweet touch.

10/10 for atmosphere. I was also impressed by the whole wheat chitarra (still thinking about this one), cauliflower app and gem salad. Great spot for date night or dinner with a friend.

W
Wendy Rissmeyer

Fausto totally blew us away with their awesome homemade focaccia and arancini! Seriously, those starters set the bar high. Then we dug into the tagliatelle veal bolognese and black bass with crispy potatoes—talk about yum! Those crispy potatoes were like heaven, basically crispy mashed potatoes. And dessert? Don't even get me started! The olive oil cake was to die for, and the vanilla bean panna cotta was insanely good. We were stuffed but couldn't resist! Plus, their wine selection rocks, and the staff is super friendly and on point. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with an open kitchen adding to the lively atmosphere. 5 stars all the way!

J

So delicious! Had a really great night with the family there. The lamb chop was perfect, and the pastas I stole off my family's plates were all fantastic too. The cauliflower starter was beautiful and interesting and highly recommended. Great selection of digestifs as well. Gotta try it!

Wow! We celebrated our anniversary here, this past week and we were treated like royalty!! Truly service with a smile - thanks Didi and Sean!! 👍 In honor of our anniversary, we were served sparkling wine to clink on. Additional drinks - beer and cocktails followed with the food. Speaking of the food YUM!! 3 Appetizers of olives, cauliflower, and arancini were so good!! We finished every last bite . Than the mains - Black Bass and Pasta Fazulli . To quote my husband “Amazing”. Dessert - Olive oil cake with marmalade topping (like moms!!) We’ll be there again for sure. If you haven’t gone, make it your next night out!!

Fausto will forever be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. The food is absolute perfection, the waiters are well educated on delicious wine pairings, and the ambiance is great. I've never felt more welcome in a space. The best part, is that everyone who works there, clearly loves their jobs and are treated well. When the staff is just as good company as the person you're with, you've made it. It has everything!!

My new favorite Italian. Food quality and execution is on top. Better than Italian in the city. Goes there for a lovely dinner with great drinks a top wine selection and friendly professional staff. This place is a little gem.

I dined at Fausto last week (no relation). Superb sums it up in one word. From making a reservation to walking out the door, everything was top notch. I called the restaurant and they made accommodations to squeeze in a party of 2 before a concert. They could not have been nicer. The food was delicious. I recommend the orecchiette pasta. Amazing. Our server, Winston, was knowledgeable about the wine list and everything on the menu. Everyone on the staff was very nice and very accommodating. Can't wait to go back again. Enjoy!

R
Ray Sterling

An absolutely outstanding meal. The housemade pastas are all outrageously good - the tagliatelle with veal bolognese, the papardelle with lamb ragu, the chitarra with mixed mushrooms are all amazing. So is the housemade focaccia. And the cocktails are pretty damn good too!

E
Evan Hindman

Definitely in the top tier of restaurants in all of Brooklyn. Fausto serves high-end Italian fare with a bistro-like feel. The pastas are the menu standouts - all of it made from scratch, all of it delicious. Very nice wine menu and cocktail list. Service was excellent; attentive without being overbearing. Would not be surprised if this was awarded a Michelin star soon.

D
Dan McGinley-Aviles Pereda

Great food, great wine list, great non-alcohol drink options. we had a couple of pastas, arancini, a salad, drinks, espresso, and gelato. The only thing I didn’t love was the gelato but my wife and I spend time in Italy and Argentina each year so that bar is extremely high.

L
Laura V

This place is always consistent. Slay service, wonderful food. I love that you don’t have to raise your voice to hear each other talk because that shit is annoying. You gotta bring back the vodka pasta though that shit was fire. Okay bye.

Came to Fausto for the first time on date night with my s/o. It was obvious that several of the adjacent tables were also couples on enjoying their 'date night.' And I can see why. The ambience was classy yet comfortable. The food is prepared in an open, spotless kitchen. Our server, Nick, was superstar; taking the time to explain the menu and always making himself available. But the true star of the show was the food. The pasta was outstanding. I ordered the black bass and was blown away. Even the side order of potatoes was out of this world; possibly the best potatoes I've ever had. And our desert, the olive oil cake, was likewise delicious. And I'm not a desert-guy by any means! 5-stars all around.

We had a great dinner at Fausto! The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was delightful. Every dish we tried knocked it out of the park, but our faves were the little gem salad and the agnolotti. We will definitely be going back!

I've been obsessed with this restaurant for a couple of years just by viewing their menus on Instagram. Also love that it gets visitors like me out of midtown and into Brooklyn. This restaurant has a great Brooklyn feel to it. We were not disappointed. One of the better dining experiences I've had. Many locals enjoying dinner as well. Great drink menu to compliment the main menu. We had the aranchini and the cauliflower for appetizers. The anchovy caper vinaigrette on the cauliflower really made this appetizer. I had the lamb ragu, my wife had the steelhead trout and my daughter had the whole wheat chitarra. All three were perfectly prepared. We were surprised with a slice of olive cake to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The real surprise for me is when I told the sommelier I was interested in trying an Amaro that's not the standard Amaro I always see. The sommelier brought out three Amaros, one I'd never seen, and one from the 80's. It was the perfect way to end an evening and was my favorite place to eat while in NY. Thanks Fausto for a special evening.

Fausto has been a favorite of mine for a few years now, this visit is my 4th or 5th time. Everything was unbelievably delicious as always. Every visit is amazing and this one was 100% up to par. Love this place! So happy it's here! Simply amazing!!!!!

Absolutely our favorite dining experience during our trip to Brooklyn & Manhattan!! My wife has some unique allergens, and the team was incredibly sincere, humble, genuine, creative….and HONEST! We started with concern and quickly jumped to total enjoyment of the food, service and atmosphere. We are grateful to the chef for customizing the trout — creating a phenomenal dish. Bryony (sp?) was kind and attentive. An all-around memorable night from our trip!

We celebrated our anniversary dinner at Fausto and were treated like royalty! From the moment we stepped in the door, staff were attentive, patient, and professional. They bent over backwards to accommodate our dietary needs and answered all of our questions. The food was outstanding and we loved the cozy seating in the restaurant's wine cellar. Two days later, and we are still talking about the amazing pasta! A delight, highly recommend, thank you Fausto!!

One of the rare places where, while expensive, has always left me feeling like I got a good deal. The food is flat-out outstanding, I’ve never had a dish that was even just “good.” Even the salads are “how the hell are they doing this” excellent. The atmosphere is elegant but not stuffy, and judicious use of sound treatment means it never gets noisy, even when packed. It’s a small thing, but being able to carry on a conversation without raising your voice really heightens the experience for me. Finally, the service is perhaps the most impressive. Attentive, knowledgeable staff, and some of the best bartenders in Brooklyn. Sit at the bar and your water will never be empty, you drinks will never be empty, your dirty plates will be gone immediately, all before you even think to ask. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. It tends to fill up but go early and sit at the bar. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I went on a rare date to Fausto and it was honestly one of the BEST dining experiences I have had in a very long time. The food was excellent, the wine list was extensive, and the staff were so incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive without being overbearing. I would highly recommend!

G
Gerardo Guerrero

I really liked their food and restaurant atmosphere. The staff was nice and helped me selecting the dishes. They were not these kind of waiters that push you to pick more dishes. The food has a really nice presentation but more importantly it was very tasty. I highly recommend the ragú pasta. The restaurant design is really nice and has amazing vibes. It’s a cool place for only coming for a glass of wine or have a full dinner. I’ll come back !

I love Fausto! Excellent and consistent high quality food, great service, nice atmosphere, and they’ve been helpful in trying to accommodate me when I sought a reservation on a night they were already booked, texting me various options and times if I had the flexibility to come at a different time. I also love that they have a seasonal menu. Solid all around and I love taking others there because Fausto never disappoints.

Traveling the World

We had an absolutely excellent meal at Fausto from start to finish. The little gem (wow!) and arancini starters were both absolutely excellent, with the focaccia only a slight notch below those two. All of the pastas were great with the Campanelle as the best we ordered. And the panna cotta dessert was very good. Excellent service, good atmosphere, and we would definitely return.

K

Visited here for my 39th birthday dinner with wife and parents.vibe, service, and food were all amazing. The place has a great community feeling with folks crowded around a fun bar waiting for a table or grabbing a quick meal. Judge helped us with food and he was great. A lot of savory anchovy-forward apps (roasted cauliflower) and pasta dishes which I appreciated :) We'll be back.

Gem salad is perfect for sharing and makes you wish every salad tasted like this. Totally different pastas between the mushroom and vodka, but we preferred the vodka sauce. Both delicious. The pork chop might have been the star and favorite dish, but I think there could be more polenta. The olive oil cake was dense, moist, and delicious, but we had to remove the marmalade and didn’t touch it. I’m not sure if it was designed this way but way to bitter.

A
Aksinya Kostyrkina

My husband took me on a date to a fancy Italian restaurant. The food was exquisite. The beet salad, the califlower salad is definitely to try for. Especially when you have a great appetite and if you are on a healthy diet. The next was the pasta. The pasta i had was great. Seasoned well. All made from scratch. You can see the chefs preparing it. Amazing to see hard work and even better when you taste it. We even had the pork chop. It was delicious. Just melted in your mouth. Afterwards, we ordered the desert. The honeycomb was nice and sweet and the Ice-cream just melted in your mouth. The apricot cake was good too. The service was wonderful. The waiters really took care of you and gave you exactly what you need. Friendly and kind. You can see they love working here and greeting everyone they meet. The chef and the sou chefs are wonderful too. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would definitely comeback here.

brilliant meal. first, we got VERY LUCKY and walked in without a reservation and got a clutch table. kudos to the host for problem-solving and getting us in at a busy time. the waitstaff were friendly, fun and helped us select the right amount of food for our party that was balanced and created a spectacular food experience. the bursts of delight from the arancini, beet carpaccio, lamb -- seriously... EVERYTHING was more incredible than the bite of the thing before. we shared and loved it all around our table. the cappelletti was a new adventure for us -- and it was magic. most of all, we felt the entire team, from host, bartender, to servers, those crumbing the table, to kitchen alchemists were working in tandem to ace every detail seamlessly. plus, we learn the phrase, "fire the next dish." it was perfect fire.

One of the better pasta focused restaurants in Brooklyn. I've been going here for years. Always good. The gem salad with feta and marcona almonds is the goat salad. The tricolor cauliflower salad is very nice too. Very warm service and ambiance. Great date night spot.

A delicate, balanced Brooklyn restaurant, Fausto has everything a person could want for a simple but elegant dinner. Fausto is perfect for any occasion, a graduation, Friday night family dinner, or an anniversary. The appetizers are diverse, fresh, and tasty. The tomato salad was made up of fresh tomatoes from the Saturday Grand Army Plaza market, a clear representation of the restaurant and its values. The pastas are limited but delicious, with fresh herbs and a clearly thought out menu. The thing that really blew our parties mind was the dessert. The gelato and sorbetto are impeccable, and the olive oil cake was delicious. I would 100% recommend Fausto for a casual but elegant dinner. Enjoy.

Fausto is a small and charming Italian restaurant in Park Slope that’s perfect for a special night out. The menu is simple and focused, letting the quality of the food speak for itself. The rigatoni alla vodka and focaccia were absolutely incredible, and the martini is a must-try. We went to celebrate our anniversary and couldn’t have picked a better spot—cozy, delicious, and memorable.

I find most good, upscale Italian restaurants in NYC are sort of hard to distinguish from one another; there are a lot of similar dishes on the menu, similar vibes to the rooms, etc. Fausto does an excellent job of standing out from the crowd with really unique and delicious choices, excellent cocktail pairings, and a fun, modern restaurant interior. Love it, will continue coming back.

I had the pleasure of dining at Fausto’s last night with my family . My niece picked this restaurant since someone recommended it to her . I have dairy and gluten allergies and they were able to accommodate me. The food was delicious , everyone was loving all the different dishes we ordered . The service, ambiance and food are top notch . I’d definitely go back again.

What a lovely meal. I came here for a birthday dinner. We were seated downstairs in a bit of a cozy nook. I had orange wine for the first time which was so cool to try. We ordered arancini and focaccia as starters. I had the pork orecchiette for dinner which was very good. But the star of the show was that focaccia! You must try it, it’s like no other focaccia. It was amazing. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you’re in Brooklyn.

Excellent excellent excellent! Every single part of our meal here was wonderful. Fausto aces the ambiance, sound levels, execution and presentation. Will certainly come back here soon. Notable great dishes we tried: crispy potatoes, arancini, Brussels sprouts, lamb tagliatelle.

We've been to Fausto pre-pandemic and loved it. Great atmosphere and food. Return today post pandemic to get a meal in with friends visiting out of town. Some notes: - food and service are still great - heads up: no staff whatsoever were wearing masks. While I know mask mandates in the city have lifted, still surprised to see. - the AC must have been broken or something, there was no air in the back half of the restaurant and being right next to the kitchen, it was rough (especially on a 90° day). Just a floor fan but the first table blocks it. - no outdoor seating that I could see.

V

The pasta at @faustobrooklyn are all house-made, and they’re bomb! I especially loved the mushroom and egg yolk pasta. That whole wheat really hits differently! I think the appetizers and entrees are not as impressive, so I would suggest to really focus more on the pasta for your first visit here!

Fausto’s interior design was magnificent. From the dining chairs to the lighting fixtures, it was simply gorgeous. Our waiter was awesome providing us with recommendations through out our dining experience. He recommend starting with the Burrata and House-made Faocaccia. Both were absolutely delicious. 5 out of 5 for the appetizers. I had Fausto’s Campanelle as my entree (another recommendation from our waiter). The noodles in the Campanelle were absolutely perfect, tender and melted in my mouth honestly. However, the dish itself seemed too salty for my palate. I would like to come back again and try a different entree. The people I dined with both enjoyed theirs. We had Faun’s Olive Oil Cake as our a dessert. The Olive Oil Cake was mouth watering and scrumptious with every single bite. You must try it! Thank you Faun for your great service!

We had a large party and they were extremely accommodating and attentive. The food was great overall. A few dishes very over salted, but most were fantastic. My favorite was a sardine dish. Visitors should note that the downstairs is not accessible via wheelchair. Stairs only.

Nice ambience and very attentive wait staff. The starter salad, cauliflower and arancini were great. Focaccia was a bit mid. I enjoyed the capellini but my dining partners found the ragu only decent.

Very good casual dining Italian restaurant with good service, terrific fresh made pastas, and an excellent wine list. The food and ambience sets the pace for a quality restaurant. The appetizers, especially the arancini, are all good as well. They have a private dining room available in the lower level for large groups and wine tastings.

Ordered the settanta cocktail. Was amazing and fairly priced. Tagliatelle bolognese was only average - portion size was too small and there wasn't enough bolognese sauce. Overall experience still 4 stars but was a tad bit disappointed in the food.

Fausto is very elegant and has a clean, swedish-minimalist sort of decor mixed with quintessential NY-dining chic restaurants. Service was good, if a little rushed. The focaccia was simply great, and the orecchiete pasta also a highlight. Unfortunately their gelato was very regular, bordering on store bought. The sorbet specifically had frozen solid parts, and did not taste very natural. Overall, a nice experience, and would come back to try more things.

Fausto, a Brooklyn restaurant with a focus on house-made pastas, offers a delicious and innovative take on Italian cuisine. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes it a great choice for a cozy meal. The highlight of my meal was definitely the appetizers. The salad was bursting with fresh flavors, and the arancini were absolutely heavenly. The homemade pastas were also a delight, and the extensive wine list with options from both Italy and France was a perfect complement to the food. Overall, Fausto is a great spot for a delicious and memorable Italian dining experience.

Modern, clean decor. Great service. The food was very good, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. The trout dish was probably my favorite.

No labeled vegan options on the menu but I asked the waiter and they were able to accommodate. They can make the gem and cauliflower salads vegan. They also have an off-menu vegan pasta with house made tomato and basil sauce. I had the pasta and it was tasty.

Perfect for dinner with parents. The food is solid, with the tagliatelle as a clear winner. The little gem salad was perfect. Everything feels exactly as you'd expect from this dimly lit, higher price-point, casual-occasion spot. I’d say this is the perfect Midtown neighborhood spot, right by Grand Army Plaza. If I had one comment, it would be about the music, which occasionally tipped into ultra-upbeat territory as a nod to the 30-something Brooklyn crowd, which felt out of step with the ambiance and the menu. My suggestion is to skip the trendy touches, as the charm of this place shines when it doesn’t try too hard.

I had great expectations and was very disappointed in the food. The homemade focaccia was bad, go to Caputo's and buy a better version there for a fraction of the price. The pasta was horrible try the frozen section of trader joes and save your money and time.

Attractive room, lovely staff, nice wines, but the food was a miss. Did you ever feel like "they" were trying too hard to make the dish more interesting or nouveau? This food menu is the poster child of that . Lest start from the beginning... Great room. The decor and finishes are very smart looking. Not smart as in intelligence but in neat, clean, simple but highly designed,... just a very handsome room. The professional service with a smile is stellar. From hello to goodbye, every person who works there is informed, gracious, and operates with elegance. Nice drink/wine list. Some interesting and odd choices, but a very simple yet well-rounded menu for a wide range of pallets. They even offered to let us taste a few before choosing and insisted on a fresh glass when the decision was made. And the stemware itself is beautiful, as were the actual dishes. On to the food... I don't know.... something is off. All of the ingredients seemed fresh. All beautifully prepared and presented...just the tastes. The cauliflower appetizer was very tasty but a little dry...needed something a little creamy with it, or perhaps warm... but it was considered a cold dish so obviously not warm...but it needed something I did like it very much, which is great because it was the only thing I ate all night. We were a table of 4 and all tasted each other's dishes... the Arnacini was ok-ish. The sauce was just acid, the ball was basically just cheap, stringy mozzarella in a fried ball with barely any rice, and just not any flavor. The focaccia was wet un the middle. Nice seasonings on top, and a good dipping oil. The Bass was probably the best entre.. that's all I can say about that. The tagliatelle was completely tasteless with wet meat on top and not an ounce of sauce of any kind. Like boiled wet meat taken out of a pot with a slotted spoon, and that's all the sauce you get. No red, not a little oil,...just wet meat on noodles. The Lumache was ok, but really odd to have it in the main entry category. It's an app at best. I was get that again for lunch maybe..certainly not a dinner. Nothing to do with looking for a big American plate..it's just not dinner. Cold greens on a chick pea pancake basically is not dinner. It was ordered because we thought they were doing something different to it, but no. Then the worst of the worst, the capellini nero.. what the hell.... rock shrimp..ok, roasted fennel...I'm with ya...then n'duja.. I asked what it was, pork glaze with spices and a little bite at the end. It seemed like such an odd combo I had to try it. Well odd it was. The sauce is way to strong to taste the other ingredients. It's way to spicy to taste the sauce! And what the hell with the wet noodle dishes.. Definitely precooked and overdone.. I actually couldn't eat it. Just stop the madness. Such a shame...so close to home, but a 1 n done for all of us.

We had two pastas, a salad and a vegetable dish. One pasta and the Little Gem salad were very salty unfortunately. The table next to us was a large group that was shouting the whole time. We ended up leaving early and taking the food to go.

Pork orecchiette was incredibly salty for three of us, but they at least changed out the dish for free. Brussel sprouts were over seasoned as well. The other pastas we ordered were decent, nice vibes generally, but wouldn't come back.

My husband and I went to eat at Fausto this evening and were unfortunately very disappointed with the meal. The whole wheat chitarra was so excessively salty that it was inedible. The heirloom tomato salad was a letdown as well; instead of the expected heirloom tomatoes, it was made with cherry tomatoes and had a mushy texture. To top it off, the tagliatelle pasta had a cartilage-like texture that was far from appetizing. On a positive note, the service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations.

This restaurant was just ok. Waitress really made us feel like she rather not be serving our table. Food was tasty but nothing special and definitely did not make an effort to accommodate to one vegan guest (although previous communication with the restaurant made it seem as though they would). Also, this is not family friendly so do not bring your kids (unless you enjoy eye rolls from staff). Overall the restaurant was ok but not worth the price IMO.

I came here on rainy Tuesday evening for dinner in early August. The restaurant was about 2/3 full and lively. The space has a lovely, intimate vibe. The tables are not crammed together. The service was nice and attentive but I went to order arancini with our initial drink order while we looked over the menu and was told that the whole order needs to be placed at once. This is a BIG pet peeve of mine. Why does the kitchen get to dictate the order of my meal? The restaurant wasn't even full AND it was arancini, not a slow roasted rack of ribs. It's very off putting. You would never see this at a restaurant in Europe. When we did finally decide on our meal order that we placed all once, I thought the appetizers were fine. The pasta was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I am indifferent about coming back to this restaurant.

Small (seasonal?) menu meant that a lot of the things I was excited about weren’t available (focaccia, Lumache). Too many options were tomato sauce-based, and we were really looking for something creamy / white sauce / egg-based to balance the flavours and acidity. The pasta was too salty, and the arancini was too bland. Food felt fresh and well-prepared though.

The salad was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bread was disappointing since it wasn’t warm or crusty as expected. Of the three pasta dishes we ordered, only one was good while the other two missed the mark on flavor and texture. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly!

Very disappointing. Celebrated a birthday and we all were less that satisfied and left the restaurant less that satisfied after ordering appetizers and main courses. Arancini (4 small golf balls), salad (a few leaves of lettuce), and I forget the others. I ordered the $42.00 steak and it was finished in 4-5 forkfuls. It was barely 1/2" thick, thinly sliced and spread across the plate. Potatoes were tasty and it was cooked the way I ordered it. Of the three pasta dishes that I tasted from others, one could not ignore the strong lemon flavor in all of them (who puts lemon in an Italian pasta dish?), and my wife had difficulty finding the lamb in the lamb ragout and the strong lemon flavor. WHY LEMON! Drinks were good, fish was cooked well, and enjoyed the very small ramakin of dessert.

Everything was good up till the end! Our porkchop was so raw it was like they walked it through a warm room. Then sent it back tougher than leather with the same (now cold) sides. My guy can I get something in between these? Poor pig deserved better than to be thrown out like that.

They marked me as "Missed" on Resy yesterday. My dining partner was late but we dined fast were out of there well before their deadline to flip the table for their 8 p.m. The hostess was a little unpleasant in a frustrated and militant way. She also sat us in the back most table where it is a freezing wind tunnel from the vents blowing directly on you. It will totally ruin your meal. The food is pretty good, but who needs the hassle of this place. There are lots of good places around here.

ordered delivery. too salty. like couldn’t eat any dish salty. which is a shame, because you could tell that aside from that it would have been delicious food.

There are so many excellent Italian restaurants in BK, I'm trying to find a reason why anyone would choose to eat at Fausto, let alone go back for a second visit. The food is fine and the ambiance is nice but the service is so rude it's comical. Not slow or disorganized but just plain bad vibes. Our server rushed us through our entire meal because apparently they needed our table back for an incoming reservation (you overbooking on a Friday night? Not our problem!). I can't overstate how unpleasant the whole experience was - my friends and I were stunned. Tl;dr: skip it.

This restaurant has one major, consistent problem: over salting its food. It has such potential in terms of the menu and location, the interior is pleasant and the wine list is lovely. The service is friendly and attentive. I really, really wanted to like it because North Slope doesn't have a ton of good date-night spots. I've now gone several times, and every single time, at least one of the dishes is so salty, it's basically inedible. The other dishes tend to be quite good, but you can't really predict which thing will be dosed with a tea cup of salt before being served, so it's a bit of a salt roulette situation. JUST USE LESS SALT AND YOU'LL BE GOLDEN.

The orecchiette was so SALTY. When I read the description, I thought 'mmmm, fennel braised pork and tuscan kale yum yum hrrrbrrr"... if you ever think about ordering this, stop. Stay home, save some money, and pull the lid off your Morton salt, then pour it into your mouth. It's basically the same meal.

Good food, good service, terrible seating. Our party of 4 was seated at a two-top turned sideways: everyone was cramped and our legs jutted out into uncomfortably into the aisle. If you enjoy the middle seat of a crowded airplane, you’ll love dining with your friends at Fausto.

Do not pay cash here. We attempted to pay cash and service handled it abysmally. They seemed to have no idea how to handle cash, took an eternity to make change and made assumptions about the amount of tip being left. A truly off-putting and terrible end to an otherwise average meal.

The food was so salty, especially the whole wheat chitarra - I genuinely couldn't tell if it was supposed to be that salty or a mistake until I read other reviews on here about the saltiness. Had to leave my dish, afterwards my tongue and mouth were dry and scratched like after eating too many salty chips, it was really strange and I've never experienced this anywhere I've eaten.

Massively overhyped. Bland food, laughably small portions, and service that acts like they’re doing you a favor. Absolute waste of money. I also want to point out, the bartender with the brown full ponytail (NOT THE ONE WITH THE HALF UP HAIR STYLE) Ruined my experience and my tip reflected it. Disrespectful and condescending tone when speaking. Slapping the bar to get my date’s attention during our conversation, and then when asked about the bill (because she missed my appetizer, everything is in a different language, and it’s hard for me to see in low light) she had the nerve to act like I was trying to dispute something. Or get out of paying. Servers A1 professionals. Bar needs to be revamped. Reservations at the bar are looked at as less than. At least by the hostess standards.
