Mr taco has been my favorite tacos in nyc for years. Their homemade and hand-pressed to order tortillas are the star. Try the three little piggies taco. Unreal.

Very very fresh straight forward tacos, I had chicken cilantro with onions and limes, pretty cool laid-back retro atmosphere, very affordable prices

Huitlacoche/mushroom quesadilla and the fish tacos were bomb. Also enjoyed a piña colada. Food came out relatively quickly. Bartender and chef were nice. Tables (outside) could have been cleaner though. Inside runs cool/has AC if you prefer heat, but there is an enclosed outdoor patio that definitely will get warm in hotter days. Cool retro ambience

Nachos were not good. Edible, but the chips sucked, toppings were weak, and meat was dry. Maybe it’s bc I went the day after Christmas, but would not recommend.

Wonderful service/ staff, really nice, but… not so great and overpriced tacos. Also got my order wrong; received nopales instead of huitlacoche. Tiniest to go serving of guacamole I’ve ever received; had to be 4oz in one of those little plastic ramekins you usually receive free sauce in.

If I could give zero stars I would, the staff is super rude and nasty. They try to scam you and up charge you for food by forcing you to pay with your card. I asked to pay with cash he said no, but then another lady said they do take cash. Another man even said they take cash. So he was basically trying to make extra money by making me use my card. Don't come here they're a bunch of con artist and then act like they don't speak English

Giant language barrier once I put my order in she decided to give me what she thought I should eat when I receive my order. I bring it to her attention and she gives me an attitude like I’m the one that ordered wrong. Like I didn’t know what I wanted to eat. She was very dismissive. I didn’t try the food, but the serving size is tiny. I’ll never go back.

Have purchased a number of times in order to support their small business. However, the service is horrid. They are unbelievable rude for absolutely no reason - particularly the young boy and his mother. Would not recommend.

Food is decent, their customer service is terrible. The guy that takes your order acts like you un-alived his kitten and will spit in your food because of it. I understand the service industry is hard but if you audibly sigh (yes you can hear him sigh) every time you have to take someone’s order, it’s not a good look. There’re lots of orders, we understand, no one complains, we wait patiently until we are serviced. I’ve ordered here numerous times (tipped each time also) and show support but I can safely say I will no longer be returning.
