This is a great place to stop for a drink, snack, or lunch. The staff is always friendly. They do their best to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Super easy using the app I love it. Plus the food was super good. I got the Kings Hawaiian chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Highly recomend plus of you download the app you get it 1/2 price.

Sonic drive in on Austin Avenue in brownwood texas has wonderful burgers fries onion rings tots and so much more. If your new too brownwood and your hungry then sonic drive in on Austin Avenue is the best place to go for lunch and dinner.

Busy Sunday night but the drive through got my order right and food was delicious. Girl at drive through was nice and professional even though there was a high volume of customers.

Good food and nice staff. This place is always busy, so expect longer wait times.

Great, except for some of the menu stalls were not working and you don't know this until you have already pulled up in the stall, then you have to back out and go find another stall that is working. It would be nice if you could put a parking cone in the stalls that do not work.

I love coming to this Sonic because everything and everyone is friendly and well coordinated. However one carhop ( just today) tried to walk off with my change. The item was $9.19. I gave her $20.19 and she was about to leave without giving me my $10. This young lady needs to be watching what she is doing.

Of the 3 Sonics in our area, this one on Austin Ave. is simply the best! I personally have never had a "bad order" here. It's just run right and the employees seem to actually enjoy what they do. Very rare when the cooks get your orders correct (morning). Hot dogs (extra long) stay on grill too long they are cooked too long in the evening. Have complained to the manager. I love this sonic, they're great and probably the best one in Brownwood. Sometimes you have to wait a little while and when I order extra cherries on the app the never give then to me but they do over the speaker at the location.

Good food, had a few issues with some of the burgers being made incorrectly. But the carhop Darlene came out to help me. She was friendly and got everything fixed quickly. She is great at customer service.

The carhops are always nice. The pretzels are always cooked just a little too long though. If y’all could pull those puffy treats out before they get hard, we’d much appreciate it.

The Sonic on Austin needs to follow course with the Sonic on Commerce & in Early. Sonic on Austin has great but slow service. Food was fast and cooked to my liking.

Their food quality has dropped to near zero. A case of profits ahead of quality food and it is going to lead to a total loss of business and then a vacant business.

It's not bad if, your getting drinks. Me personally I don't like their food.

It's drive in, wouldn't recommen it for families with kids. The car will get messy and the food is really unhealthy. They do have a happy hour with discount drinks from 2 to 4 though.

It's Sonic. What do you expect? Nice8 folks as long as they get the order right. Update- I have to amend this review. The last 4 or 5 stops I've made there, and they're regular, they have gotten my order wrong, ly, there is seemingly been a shortage condiments, and napkins and the car hops seem to be upset about something and it makes me uncomfortable.

I went to Sonic to get some shakes. I ordered 3 shakes. It took forever for them to bring me my shakes. The people in the stall next to me got their food before I got my shakes. They finally brought me my shakes and 2 of them were right. The employee took the other one back to bring me the one I wanted. It was another 10 minutes before she bought my shake to me.

For a sonic this 1 could definitely use some work. Customer service is amazing and people are super friendly n helpful but food is more times than not just soggy n bland/icky or burnt. There’s no in between that I’ve had anyway but I’ve only been there 4 times since I moved here n everyone has off days. Employee’s are awesome tho n work hard for their tips

The Sonic off of Austin has gotten bad around this time. This is the second time in a row that I ask for light on the ice. Yeah, am mad that they Pack on the ice and guess was make sure it was completely full of ice. I can say I saw that last time with my own eyes. They made sure they package it in.

People are very courteous the carhops work extremely hard and fast for the cooks I don't think so much cause I have never eaten a hot hamburger there always pretty much room temp

I only come here for the morning drink stop and 2-4 happy hour. No shame. I'd come more if I knew my stuff would be correct, but it never is so I just order drinks and hope they aren't messed up.

the food is good but they always get it wrong. We get the baja wrap NO TOMATO and no lettuce. some of them dont put the tomato on there but others will say “the wrap dont come with tomatoes anyways” but still put them on the wrap? they should really figure it out bc what if someone is allergic to tomatoes and they still put them on there?

Quick service but meet was barely warm didn't even melt cheese slice and fries barely warm with a stale taste. Public bathroom was dirty. Stall speakers barely understandable order taker broke up by malfunctioning speaker at stall.

Service was very slow. 3 people got there order before I got mine which was a blast and 2 Sundays simple

Drinks taste almost there same as other Sonic's but this Sonic has trouble getting the order right at the window. Maybe they are just honest that is impossible to make a low calorie as advertised drink due to high sugar content in the slushes. Some flavors say zero calories but they say the calories are still in the slush syrup and not shown correctly on the sign.

Sonic is what it is. Decent experience and decent food but the carhops at this location need some training and guidance in customer service. Vanessa, for example, has a terrible attitude.

The lady who took my order was so rude from the second I pulled into the stall. All I did was make my order. The lady who brought my drinks was wonderful!

Went to the one on Austin Ave & I had to wait more than 20 mins. for my ham & egg toaster sandwich, yet people who came after me got their orders before me. Made me late for work. Yet I did tip the guy who delivered my sandwich.

My husband & I stopped in to try the big dill sonic smasher combo. First of all the advertisements for this meal are very misleading as it's clearly pictured with a pickle slush. Apparently you have to order the slush separately. After ordering two combos & two slushes our total came out to $34 and some change! You would think for that price the order would be correct. When we sat down to eat our meal the tots had absolutely no seasoning on them. Not even salt! If it's advertised with seasoning it should definitely come with seasoning. I mean for $34 we could've drove to a restaurant down the road & ate a nice meal. I did like the slush & the carhop was courteous however neither would make me want to return to Sonic anytime in the near future.

Ordered using the online app, neither burger was prepared as it was ordered, and both were cold - less than 5 minutes from when we picked it up until we began eating. French fries were cold and stale. Worst food I’ve received from a Sonic.

There is always a long wait. The girls are so disrespectful Everytime. The only decent person is the manager. All the employees need to be refreshed.

I ordered a strawberry mango ice cream slush and I got a slush with strawberry, mango and two pumps of cream mixed with water.

about a month or so ago i found a roach in my drink. I havent gone back since and now i know all the sonics in the area are awful.

Normally love this sonic but lately every single time I’ve ordered a drink on the app I get it and it literally has no ice or there’s barley any melted ice on the top like they let it sit for awhile.

Been here multiple times bc it’s walking distance from my house. 99% of my experiences have been below average to god awful horrible. Food always old and dry. Service is quick but not friendly, multiple rude encounters especially the fat Mexican girl with glasses. Also a friend of mine who works there said there’s a bad roach problem which was enough for me to finally give up on going here despite how convienant the location is to my residence, and despite how much I used to love going to sonic. Sonic in general is still awesome but not here in Brownwood. Go to Food with caracature, or sams southern eatery if you’re passing through for a quick bite that don’t bite back

Went and ordered a large jalapeno popper. Got home to a chicken sandwich. Have tried to call 10 different time to get the right order and no one will answer the phone. Very disappointed with this visit.

I order a Jr burger plain and dry,just the meat and bread only!!for my dog... it reads rite on the screen, but I guess the cook can't read, like they are morans...I will not be eating here again,,,, Dairy queen will have my business from now on.... The car hops are always rude and they never get my order right and when they don't they never give me my condiments that iv asked for two times.

Stopped in for a quick coffe and cherry lime aid before a trip. The machine would not take my credit card. I made my order and with only drinks I waited at least 10 minutes. Then my order had a cherry lime and a sweet tea. They took the order back-/ would not let me keep te cherry linmeade. Finally after another 10 minutes my order came out. I did not check it. When I got down the road I had a coffee and sweet tea which I don’t drink. How had can a coffee and cherry limeade be to make and deliver??????? 20 minutes and then the wrong order. !!!!!!!

How hard can it be to put extra ice in a cup? I poured out a 44 oz drink that was ordered with extra ice. There was 1/4 cup of ice in it. The problem is this happens all the time.

This sonic is absolutely terrible. The drinks & snack foods are great, can’t really mess up on those. However I ordered a burger with no mustard ( allergic & mentioned it ). Now I have 3 messed up orders with mustard still.

Heads up!! So if your like me and love Banana shakes for the fact of the real banana in them. Do not go to Sonic seems they just have a flavor of it now. It's just not the Same.

They hardly put any chocolate in our Blast (we paid for extra for it in addition to M&Ms), spouse kindly requested a tiny bit more (in the form of a small container like one used for a ketchup squirt), not like we asked them to remake it), the server was shutdown by the management and told us “they don’t give out chocolate.” Well I don’t give repeat business to anywhere that charges $6 for a treat, does not make it properly, and then refuses to make it right by withholding probably 5 cents of chocolate. Avoid this location at all costs if you want to be treated fairly. Visit was on 9-4-21 at approximately 5:30pm.

Their service is usually great, unless its on a day that you get served a HOT FUDGE SHAKE that's dripping onto your car and clothes from the bottom of the cup. IDK how the server didn't notice. And to add injury to insult, I called the manager on duty to express my concern for problem ( I was sure to be polite ), then I was hung up on. The sonic on Austin Ave really needs to get it under control during rush times, there is no excuse 😤

Drive thru time is horrible. It gets worse everyday it seems like. Allowing people to order large amounts of food and not having the manpower or capability to handle it through the drive thru defeats the purpose of having a drive thru.

I don't understand why you would let food like this even leave your kitchen/restaurant. I have ordered onion rings at Sonic plenty of times, I even was a manager when I lived elsewhere. I like that they're made in house and have NEVER seen them come out like this. When I called and asked to speak to a manager, the young lady says 'this lady wants to speak to a manager.' I'm not sure who I spoke with, but I just wanted to let them know there's inedible onion rings and may want to check what's being served. TJ, who didn't identify himself until I asked his name, said he would check on it in a little bit. Mind you, I was not going back, not looking for anything free (I know that kind of customer), but I was blown off. Not offered any help or a way to fix it- as a manager should try to get info and get to the solution and maybe appologise. When I say inedible, just look at the picture. Hope your establishment will do better but not with my business.

I went to get my husband a chocolate shake and ordered myself a #10 popcorn chicken (medium size) with tater tots and a drink which all together was $15.51 still wondering how it got to be that much and when I got the order the popcorn chicken and tots were "COLD" and chicken was so darn hard and only got maybe 6 very small pieces I was totally pissed gave a small order to where I don't think took maybe 5 minutes to "throw" together as it seemed and the chocolate shake was all sticky and nasty on the outside, could have took the time to wipe the outside of the cup off. I know I didn't get the medium size popcorn chicken it was the same size as the tater tots holder. I don't think the workers wanted to work being Easter if they throw food like this together and doesn't take pride in their work. I will never go to the Austin Avenue location for quite some time. MANAGERS PLEASE TAKE TIME TO TRAIN AND/OR RETRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!! They are NOT taking pride or the time to make the customer happy and wanting the customer to come back. Still don't see how my order was $15.51?

Done ordering from this location. Don’t think they’ve ever given our order correctly. Most recently, ordered one of the featured burgers and received it without a burger patty. Will gladly drive further to one of the other locations in town.
