The pizza was amazing. The place was neat and clean. We chose outdoor dining. Perfect view. We had great service. Would definitely recommend. Our waitress was great, friendly, and knowledgeable
The menu is a little wild at first but they have amazing food. My favorite burger and the prices are really good compared to everyone else these days.
I've been coming to The Pizza Plant in Williamsville for over two decades, and they definitely deserve some love and acknowledgment! Consistency is the key here. Their menu has barely changed over the years, and that's a good thing. You always know what you're getting: quality, comfort, and great food. I especially love the "create your own pods and pizzas"-so many topping options to choose from-and "the grow your own salads"-let you customize your meal exactly how you like it. It's a fun and flexible dining experience every time. The booth seating is a major plus, spacious and comfortable, so you never feel like you're right on top of the next table. It's a great place to bring kids, too. They hand out little dough balls and coloring supplies to keep them entertained while you enjoy your meal. One quirky thing I love and sometimes hate is the wildly diverse music playlist. You might hear Bob Marley, then the Beatles, then some strange, completely obscure song that makes no sense-but somehow, it just adds to the charm and makes me laugh. The servers are always friendly and attentive, and it’s nice to see familiar faces—many of them have been there for years. There's also a nice big bar off to the side if you just want to grab a drink or eat in a quieter spot. Reasonable prices, reliable service, great for families, and always a relaxed vibe! After all these years, it’s still one of my go-to spots. Thanks, Pizza Plant!
4-13-25 add on… Can you please open up a Rochester establishment. Jesus, food is so good, and just did the sour power event!! Love the rare beers. And the Cinnabon bread pudding was so freaking good!! This is a place for Beer Gods!!! We come to Buffalo from Rochester just for their stout events. Just did the Imperial March of the Stouts, and man the stouts on tap you can’t get anywhere at else. Stars Wars and stouts?! Um yeah!! 6 different Bourbon Counties since 2019, and many others. Got an imperial stout from Sweden that was off the hook there. If you’re a Beer God make sure to be ready to drop some money cause they also have a huge list of bottles and canned beers you won’t find anywhere else. Oh, and their pizzas and desserts are insanely good. Also, do yourself a favor and get a beer club card! Oh, and their Pod City Italian ice sour and porter are insanely good!
Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and all three of us (picky people) liked our food. The milkshake was excellent. Our waitress Desiree was super attentive, upbeat, friendly, and just did an amazing job. Note: The Caesar salad is listed as vegetarian but the dressing contains anchovies
Ordered online. Picked up. No issues. I may have ordered incorrectly. Trying to build a Buffalo style pizza. Had plenty of good cheese. Decent cup n char. Sauce was lacking some flavor. I ordered pizza sauce not the marinara option. 🤷🏻♂️ crust was similar to the consistency of a bagel. Kinda “bready” it was a decent pizza
Edited to add: was there again on 10/23 and used the takeout window a bit after 8pm. The woman working there was So Nice!!! She also gave me cutlery and was concerned if I had enough napkins and wanted to get me paper plates. I assured her the box was fine and didn’t need the plates. She really went out of her way to be kind. Also the picture with my fist is to show the size of the pod. I ordered the smaller one! Recently rediscovered this place and hate that I went without for so long! I love how customizable options are and it’s perfect for when I want to treat myself because I can get Exactly what I want. Ordered takeout both times. Once through online and the other by phone (online ordering was down) and both times my order was correct and delicious. The smaller of the pods can feed me for days and is glorious. Thank you!!!
Food was great - had a baked spaghetti that was amazing. Not my favorite sauce, but it was good and the portion is literally 3 meals. The beer was phenomenal. They didn't have one beer I wanted so the bartender recommended another that was great. When we moved.to a table, I wasn't sure what beet I had been drinking. They brought a different IPA and it was just as good if not better. Great atmosphere, not too loud. Guests had pizza which looked great as well. Will definitely be back.
I give it 4-stars. It was convenient and close to my hotel. The food was average Americana pub food, and the drink was satisfying. The bartender and service I had were really good. They do seem to close pretty early , but I'd come back again.
Great selection of craft beer and mixed drinks. The pizza "pods" are a great take on the idea. Build your own or choose a pre design. Options for everyone including vegetarians and vegans.
Was staying in the Courtyard Marriott & it’s in the same building, although it’s a separate business. It has a main parking lot entrance, but theres a side door entrance for Hotel patrons. Stopped here to get some wings to go. Had two different draft beers at the bar while I waited. The dining room was behind the bar & it sounded like it had a decent crowd. A lot of draft beers to choose from. Bartender was great. Wings were pretty good. Next time I stay at the hotel & I’ll sit down & try out different foods.
We ordered veg pizza, garlic sticks, chicken pesto pod, zingy tingy pod, hot chocolate, beer The hot chocolate wasnt at all refreshing at I expected, pizza and pods could have used some flavours. The beer was only thing that helped me give 3 stars. Maybe I dont have the taste buds to enjoy this cuisine but I would say I have enjoyed at better places than this…
Went there on a Saturday evening with a group of 5 people. The place was pretty dead so we were seated right away. Server was polite but honestly sucked at her job. She delivered our drinks and took our food order. 40 minutes it took for the food to come out... the actual issue? She didnt come back once during that time to refill our drinks. We had all the empty cans/glasses at the end of the table for 20 minutes before we finally yelled across the restaurant to her that we needed more drinks. When she brought our drinks, she didnt clear the old ones... so when the food was delivered shortly after that...there wasnt any room for anything LOL and then she walked away. I took it upon myself at that time to clear all the empty glasses/cans to her. She was standing behind the bar. No one was at the bar. No thanks for doing my job or anything of the sorts! Be a better server, especially down in the heart of canal side. Thats embarrassing
I was very impressed by the menu, and had a hard time deciding. Lots to choose from! I thought it was nice that gluten free and non-fried options were presented. Unfortunately, I wasn't at all happy with my choice. I ordered pasta, which had little flavor, and most of the noodles were dry. The onions were nearly raw, and the chicken I paid extra for was a little burnt. Things were apparently very busy, so maybe on another day it would be better. Might go another time and see if the pizza is better, but wouldn't get pasta again.
We heard that they had good pizza/Italian food. We were there early at 5:30pm because of an earlier appointment. Just a few patrons were there. Nonetheless, it took too much time to be seated. I spoke to the bartender about seating ourselves at a high top table in the bar. He told me to go back to the vacant hostess stand and wait. She finally showed up and seated us, but without menus. After another wait, a newly assigned waitress came over after we attracted her attention. We ordered drinks and perused the overly complicated menu. That is never a good sign. The atmosphere was dingy and cluttered. Beer boxes were stacked against a wall. We decided to finish our drinks and leave after telling the waitress we received a call & had to be somewhere else. There was something disconcerting about this place. My husband regretted ordering an apple cider martini served with a dried piece of apple as garnish. He said it was awful.
I am full blooded Sicilian and all I can say is your sauce is so weak. it tastes like nothing but unseasoned tomato sauce straight from the can, thinned with water. you desperately need SEASONING, salt, paste, puree, something! one slice of pizza and the rest went in the trash. the cheese is very quality but nothing can make up for how tasteless the entire pie was. we also had lobster nachos, those were delicious. but I really can't give many stars when your staple, namesake item is so bad and also the entire place looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years. our booth could have absolutely benefited from dusting, degreaser...the lamp was repulsive and dropping dirt on us the entire time, everything around us has a layer of stickiness. a couple stars for the nachos, an extra star for our waitress who clearly had very little backup and support, was handling far too many tables on her own, but still treated us so well.
The atmosphere was great, i think it is a wonderful location with a cozy interior. Their food was marginally okay for pizza in buffalo, it was expensive, and drinks were not cheap. It is worth going to checkout the place, and try, but dont waste the money on making your own pie or anything, just get a slice and enjoy the atmosphere.
Went in for dinner on Saturday, there was only one other table when we went in there. We were seated at a dirty table, there were napkins and food from the previous customers. We requested for a table change. The waitress didn’t even apologize or help us move the menus and plates and just let us do it ourselves. Then comes the food, we got the Mozzarella Sticks, Garden Stuffed Pizza, Vegi-Try Pod and Texas Torch Pod. Everything was overpriced. Only the mozzarella sticks were decent. The garden stuffed pizza was average, the whole pizza starts falling apart when I picked it up. The pods were just not as good as we hoped they would be. Texas Torch was alright, but the Vegi-Try Pod was bland, had to drench the thing in marinara sauce. And we came in very hungry. Food is supposed to taste better when you’re hungry, so even with a boost, it’s not good.
First time the server came over to check on us was after we ate. We had to ask other staff for silverware, napkins and drinks. The wait for food was really long. One of our meals was supposed to come with garlic bread. We never got it and asked the host, who said sorry they ran out. They ended up giving us a bag of chips, only because we asked. When we tried to leave feedback, the waitress just walked away. My son's noodles were inedible, drowning in water and oil. Would not go to this location again.
Lady who served us seemed pretty clueless as to what was going on, food we got was wrong, the onions on the pizza were very big and raw causing them to be overpowering. All around will be choosing somewhere else for my pre concert experience
My wife and I stopped in for a gluten free pizza just before an event at the arena . Waitress was good drinks were great gluten free pizza was disgusting besides Overpowering with garlic, the crust was the most disgusting part of the meal dry gritty nasty cardboard would’ve tasted better and we’ve had many gluten-free crust at many different places even Tops is better than this one. I highly suggest the restaurant reevaluate their crust option for gluten-free and the four dollar up charge for it, they should’ve given me the extra four bucks
We had two families and myself, total of 9 people. I asked our waitress if my check could be separate, she said no problem. We all ordered, and it seemed to take quite awhile, but I understand that with a large party. When our food finally arrived... The pizza looked great but the dough was undercooked. One Pod, had only one piece of pepperoni in it. After my friends finished their nachos, they noticed the sour cream packets had been expired over a month. Later that night my friends wife was sick due to this. When the bill came it was all on one check. The waitress dropped it off and vanished. We had to find a manager to pay it and get out of there. This was my second time of trying this chain. The one on Transit was marginal on my first visit. This review took place at the one down town in the Marriot. I have no intention of ever trying them again. Way to many items on a very mumbo jumbled menu which can only lead to confusion in the kitchen. Buffalo is known for great pizza, but not at the Pizza Plant.
Ordered chicken Parm off the website. The portion was good and the staff was very friendly. It was a little odd trying to find the takeout counter. When I got home, my wife and I noticed that the chicken isn't breaded for chicken Parm here. It's a grilled chicken breast. Which also left the rest of the dish soggy and ultimately disappointing. It would have been fine if it were mentioned on their menu that it isn't a breaded chicken cutlet.
Went with my daughter before the Sabres Canadiens game. We were seated quickly at about 5:30 pm with lots of time. About 10 minutes later (not exaggerating times for effect) another couple was seated beside us. Ten minutes later again a waitress came but and took their drink order. It was at least 10 more minutes for the waitress to return with their drinks. At this time she took their order. 30 minutes have passed. As she was about to leave with their order I said excuse me and she replied I will find your server. She returned a few minutes later and said that my server was busy so she would be my server. At that time she took our drink and meal order. It was now about 6:05. Our meals came in a reasonable time, about 15 minutes after ordering(approx 6:20) when she placed the food down she apologized to the customer beside us that ours was ready first. To which I replied, “actually we were here first.” Then she replied “well then it all worked out. 😳 We both had a burger and fries(no pickle as stated on the menu)☹️ We both had so few fries that I actually took a picture and counted them (24 including the little fry pieces you always get). See picture. As we were finishing our meals in a hurry to get to the game she brought the meal to the couple beside us. As she placed it down she said “ I gave you extra fries for the wait”🙄 Anyway. habs won so that is good. Won’t be back to this place next time they are in town.
Food looks good but is horrible. Stuffed spinach pizza: Sauce too sweet, too much garlic.. Crispy Wings: Not crispy, warm temperature, rubbery texture -seemed prepared in a microwave.. Chicken sandwich: over cooked, dry, burned, no flavor, bun was stale. French fries cold. Made complaint to server, expected to see a manager, nope. I guess they’re just glad they got you in to take your money. I highly recommend NOT eating here. Bar atmosphere seems okay for drinks but def not eating.
Got scolded by the non friendly hostess about seating ourselves. No explanation about the menu items, never heard of a "pod". The pepperoni was black and burnt. The atmosphere was stale, our server was unpleasant. The ranch dressing was water. I have nothing nice to say about this place except don't go.
The pizza tasted like cardboard, the ice water tasted like it had human sweat in it. Excellent server though, which is why I left a nice tip.
Unfortunately the young lady at the bar would not allow us to eat or get a drink at 7:10, despite the bar clearly saying it was open until 8. Be better. This is in a hotel and somewhat isolated. Change your hours or train your staff better please.
If I could give this zero stars I would. We went there tonight before monster jam. We called weeks prior to this event requesting reservations since we had a party of 12, they denied our reservations since they don’t take however they should start since they were extremely understaffed. I went in at 3:45 i told the hostess we had a party of 12, she rolled her eyes at me and said it will be 30 mins. I said okay, so i gave her my name. Numerous parties are getting called prior to us…who walked in after us so finally after 45 mins i asked how much longer. She then stated we should separate since the party is too big and it would be another 30 min…i said fine. Mind you as we were waiting not one bartender asked us for a drink.. finally the hosted said nevermind that big party is leaving you can sit there. Another 15 min wait…we sat down knowing now there is less than an hour till the show, mind you we came 2 hours prior to the show. We sat down, the table next to us was very anxious. I asked them i said did you order your food yet they go yes, 35 mins ago and it’s still not here and all we got was pizza and nachos. I look at my table i said we are leaving…the service, the attitudes, everything about this restaurant was horrible. I would never recommend and never come back!
Definitely not your normal Pizza Plant experience . I frequent the location on Transit and this doesn’t even come close. Not sure how long this spot has been open but ownership may want to get some retraining in here or new people to represent them in front of customers. 1. The food- not up to par. Burnt pods, undercooked burger, basket of fries that I would suggest this location changing the name to a handful of fries served in a basket. 2. Service - They are slow and miserable. Manager miserable, server uninterested and miserable. Felt like I was eating in a restaurant that just got told they are closing in a week and these were the employees that didn’t see it coming. 3 . Gave it 4 stars for atmosphere. They did a nice job building it but if they stay with this staff … they will no longer come. I’d pick somewhere else to eat.
Food not good and overpriced. I had the parmachoke; three fried tiny artichokes with cold dip. It took a long time for our table to get silverware, water and drinks. It was very busy, but still seemed to have enough staff. Sadly, we will not go back.
The Northtown Plaza location used to be so much better in the 90s. The Texas Torch pod was undercooked and the manager was unjustifiably hostile. I used to look forward to ordering lunch when I worked at Village Green Books and Monro. Had a problem with an order a couple years ago that was an oily mess, but it doesn’t seem like much has changed since.
We bought a vegan pizza it was undercooked, unbaked. It was not edible. As well as fries. I would not recommend this place. Honest opinion it was so bad. I don’t like to leave a bad reviews but I could not help it. At least it may help someone to make a choice. I took a pics. Pic number one you can see completely raw dough.
