Great Spot for Fast Dining! This is an excellent place for fast dining, whether you want pizza or spaghetti. They have many options to enjoy, and I always love grabbing a pizza with a glass of wine. The salads are fresh and tasty, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

Had a nice dinner with our family group of 10. Service was superior and parking when was easy. The only annoyance is they add 3% to a pretty pricey dinner for " staff benefits". Asked the server what benefits and she had no idea so basically a 3% fee added to owners pockets. This is lame and usually reduces tips to servers so you aren't paying a 20% tip on top of a 3% fee on top of a $500 dinner.

The weather was absolutely beautiful today, so my husband and I decided to go out to find a place to eat. Burlingame really has so many restaurants with great ambiance—they all feel very romantic. We passed by this place and thought it looked promising. Since it was lunchtime, it wasn’t too crowded. We tried the seafood pasta and the classic tomato and cheese pasta, along with a portion of fried squid. Since it was just lunch, we didn’t order too much. First, the batter on the fried squid was just mediocre—it turned soft not long after being served. With the first bite, it felt like I was mostly tasting the flour coating. It was average, so I wouldn’t really recommend it. Next, my seafood pasta was highly recommended—the flavor was fantastic. However, the scallops had a bit of sand in them, though I’m not sure if it came from the mussels or the scallops themselves. Still, the taste was great. My husband tried the classic tomato pasta, which had an overwhelmingly rich cheese flavor. By the end, he couldn’t finish it. It’s probably better suited for those who really love cheese. The service was nothing special, just average. What was uncomfortable was that the bill automatically included a 3% fee, which didn’t feel great. We still left a 20% tip, but it felt like we were charged some extra fees unnecessarily. I hope the restaurant can improve on this—if the service is good, customers won’t be stingy with tipping.

Great food except pawns were not even partially de-shelled. Prices can be high. Fortunately they have a happy hour. Great bar.

I have been here a few with my company meeting and coworkers. It’s always good to be here. Yesterday, I took my mom here and it got so busy somehow that my waiter didn’t come by much except for bring the drink and food out and the bill. The eating for the food is long and one of the dish sold out which made it even longer to wait. Overall, it the food is great. I felt they forgot us a bit.

II Fornaio Burlingame. We went there for a birthday. Started with the fried zucchini blossoms with marinara sauce and a blue cheese tarter sauce. They were wonderful. Then, we had the grilled pear salad with grapes, walnuts, and blue cheese on a bed of lettuce. Delicious. I had the grilled fish mix with small potatoes, grilled carrots, and broccolini. The salmon, shrimp, scallops, and halibut with pesto sauce again was delicious. My partner had the half chicken, cut potatoes, and broccoli with a grilled mushroom sauce that tasted fantastic. Our waiter was very good. Overall, I def would come here again. Forgot, the restaurant decor was beautiful.

Been here many times over the years for lunch and dinner, staff are kind, food is ok. The main reason my family and I like to come here is for the ambience. They have beautiful decor during the holidays and throughout the year the vibe inside is very warm, lively and suitable for the more casual special occasion meals. Food wise, butternut squash ravioli is my favorite, but everything else , (pizzas, calamari, lasagna, most other pastas) taste very commercial, and gives similar vibes to the cheesecake factory. Prices are also similar to cheesecake factory, where it is a bit pricey for the portion and quality you get. So overall if you're prioritizing ambience this is your spot, but if you're looking for more authentic Italian food, might need to keep looking.

The environment, atmosphere, and service are all good. As for the food, we ordered three types of pasta, and two of them had excellent texture and taste. However, the other one was completely unacceptable as some of the pasta was still sticking together, which can be considered a basic mistake. Luckily, the Tiramisu dessert was smooth and delicious, making up for the score.

The restaurant has a charming exterior, adorned with beautiful flowers and lush plants that create a welcoming atmosphere. When we visited, it was quite busy and the environment was a bit noisy due to the number of guests. Lasagna: Decent overall, but not particularly memorable and a bit too greasy for my taste. Linguine Mare Chiaro: Having a generous portion of seafood and good flavor.

Ordered via DoorDash pizza was okay, nothing special and tiramisu same. The prices were increased on DoorDash. I don't usually use DoorDash so not sure if that is normal. They didn't include cutlery make sure to ask for it. C$71 for this is way over priced.

Visited on 8/31/24 Atmosphere & Service: The restaurant is beautiful both inside and out. The ambiance for dinner was the traditional setting with dim lights, nice table settings and an open view of the kitchen. The staff were polite and very accommodating for our party of 8 Food: Came into town for a wedding and this is where the Bride decided to have dinner. I was super excited to eat some Italian food. As you can tell by the pictures the food looked amazing, however it was very disappointing. None of the food had flavor. Because we were a big group we ordered a variety of items and we ended up having to put salt and pepper on everything. The olive oil for the bread tasted like fake oil out a plastic bottle. The calamari was cooked perfectly but had no flavor and the sauce didn't help either. Two orders of the braised short rib ravioli had to be remade because it came out cold and once to the table was also bland. The salmon was slightly dry and the beef in the lasagna was overwhelming. Not sure what happened here, but there is definitely room for improvement. My score is based on the food alone.

2 kids and 3 Adults on a Sunday evening the restaurant was half full. The service was super slow, the food was average and definitely not worth the price, the 2 kids looked at the kids menu and ordered Chicken Alfredo pasta and they were $40 each. We learnt that there is no Chicken Alfredo pasta on the kids menu (which they could have told us) and who the heck charges $40 for Alfredo pasta? The ambiance is nice but i still cant get over the cost. Definitely NOT worth it.
