I got the gorgonzola crusted filet 10 oz. The waitress educated myself and the rest of the table about how if you usually order medium rare it's served to temperature, which made me adjust to medium. I thoroughly enjoyed the steak. If you're coming here, you really need to get the angry shrimp appetizer. Every part of it was amazing. We also got the roasted beet salad and honestly we we're biased that we might not like it. The beet salad was amazing and completely changed our misconception about it. We even had to google about the golden beets because we had no idea about them.

We came for my best friend’s birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. The food was great and the service by everyone, but especially our waiter Nicholas was fantastic. He was so attentive, so thoughtful, and so kind. We got a couple of complimentary things for my friend’s birthday which was also such a delightful surprise. They definitely made this day special. The atmosphere and decor is also so perfect. We’re very appreciative and can’t wait to come back already! 💗

Amazing food and service! Even the bread was almost too pretty to eat! All the extra details were incredible. We popped in for a late lunch after Christmas shopping and sat at the bar. Great vibe and very comfortable.

Place is really good. The yellowfin tuna is delicious. I've been to 4 places in Burlington Massachusetts all of them are 10/10 that town has some of the best restaurants.

One of the best steaks I've ever had. We ordered Tomhawk Ribeye dry aged steak and it was so delicious. It was enough for 2 of us for dinner and we still had leftovers. We will be coming here again.

Visiting from out of town and my friends took me to Smith & Wollensky—WOW. The food was absolutely AMAZING! We shared a handful of seafood appetizers, a porterhouse, another incredible steak, and some unforgettable sides (the mac & cheese, corn, and asparagus were all fantastic, but those mashed potatoes…next level!). And the coconut cake? I can’t even—it’s what dreams are made of! Our server struck the perfect balance of attentive and chill, giving great recommendations while letting us enjoy time to catch up. The atmosphere was warm and charming—such a cute spot with great vibes. I’m already looking up other Smith & Wollensky locations. Will definitely be back!

Had the most excellent service while stopping for lunch after some Christmas shopping! Our server, Jack, took the time to diligently accommodate my nut allergy and the food and drinks were perfection. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough! It was a delightful stop on my trip to Massachusetts. Delicious food and impeccable hospitality.

This place just doesn’t disappoint. From our server Jessica, to the GM Steve, to Bartender JC, everyone was simply REMARKABLE! It was a great way to spend my birthday and the customer service experience was FABULOUS! I really can’t say enough. The food, a 6 star meal. I mean, cooked to perfection. Kudos to the cooks out back who never get THANKED or RECOGNIZED for their awesome dedication to put out good food. Jessica really did a splendid job representing the brand and I will personally ask for her to wait on me next time because she was just on another level. A hidden gem who should be groomed for advancement. SHES GOT IT! Would I return? That would be a HELL YEAH!!! I UPDATE: I went back on 7/20/24 and I was STUNNED that GM Steve recognized us from last visit. Again, another 5 STAR experience. Steve is the absolute BEST! He’s all about the customer service experience and server Sarah DID NOT DISAPPOINT. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out an on extraordinary experience and if you have ANY problem, Steve will make it right and if he doesn’t, I WILL PERSONALLY PAY FOR YOUR MEAL.

Exceptional upscale restaurant and incredible food! A great menu and very friendly staff! The wagyu beef is THE best we’ve had in Massachusetts! For non meat lovers the angry shrimps was one of the most delicious unique dishes I’ve had, the shrimps are laying on a bed of spicy mashed potato that balances the taste of spicy shrimps. The meat dishes were all extraordinary delicious and made to perfection with the right combination of flavour and texture. Side dishes of mashed potatoes and mac n cheese were great too and due to large portions of main course I recommend sharing sides! Now to the desserts. We “family of 5” shared the 9 layers gigantic chocolate slice and we couldn’t finish it, creamy chocolate and light ganache. The perfect finish to an amazing dinner. Side note! Smith &Wollensky is the one of the most clean and elegant restaurante I’ve been to in MA

We genuinely had the best experience at S&W. Our server Jared was one of the best servers we have had in a long time. As a family that enjoys fine dining- Jared was beyond informative. We took his recommendations from drinks, to entrees to desserts and are so glad that we did. This was an experience that we will remember for quite some time. We can’t wait to come back and will be recommending to friends and family.

My fiancé and I ate at the new Smith & Wollensky location in Burlington, MA and we had a wonderful experience. Our meal was absolutely phenomenal — we had zero complaints. Our server, Renata, was accommodating, informative and friendly. We hope to have her as a server again when we return — and we will most definitely be returning!!! It’s so great to now have a Smith & Wollensky closer to home.

Our server was Dennis and he was very attentive. The food here is very delicious. Great place to share dishes. Not a stuffy restaurant, very classic yet modern steak house.

This is our go to special occasion restaurant, it is upscale and beautiful. The service is top notch and the food is amazing. We enjoy the atmosphere and dining here. The hanging ribeye and potatoes is a show stopper! Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Excellent experience for our first time here. We had their 10 oz fillet mignon with their cream spinach and other great sides. Crab cake and their grilled bacon for apps so delicious. They have a superb long menu a lot to pick from. Their dessert menu has a perfect variety. The drinks are so excellent, I had their Prosecco Peach and Ginger cocktail and their lemon drop martini A+. Service exceptional, when you visit, ask for Boom. She made my birthday experience here so memorable. #teamcancer ♋️

Consistently excellent with fantastic steaks of course, but also seafood. Great wine list, exceptional service and great desserts too.

What a fantastic meal. Truly from the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome and our food was UNBELIEVABLE. We munched on the seafood tower for two, truffle Mac, and Brussel sprouts. Can’t forget the crème brûlée at the end. A lovely fancy or special meal out and it's a large restaurant so im sure it can accommodate large groups. Best cosmopolitan Ive had in a while!

Perfect spot for me and my 2 boys. We've always wanted to try A5 and S&W didn't disappoint! Perfectly cooked, melt in mouth Wagyu. Servers 1st day and she was perfect too! Looking forward to returning soon for sure.

We were shopping at Burlington Mall and I usually go to the Bancroft for an amazing steak dinner. If I'm being honest we've been to the Smith & Lewinsky's in Boston and was not impressed. So we decided to grab a seat at the bar and give it a second chance. We ordered a bottle of Austin Hope for our wine and the fillets cooked medium for sides we ordered the potatoes and brussel sprouts with bacon. Between the bartender and the food it was an amazing experience food was seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Wow. We went here for my moms birthday and it was phenomenal. All the food was delicious and our server was so friendly and polite, he made us feel like valued guests even though it was our first time there. He even offered to take a picture of us for moms special day, and gave us some amazing deserts on the house. Some of our food took a while to come out, but at the end of the day, our server had created such a warming atmosphere that it didn't matter. Thank you, we had a wonderful time!

From the minute you walk in to their top notch service to their incredible food, this place is a must. I accompanied my CEO to a business luncheon and was taken back by the high quality of service and food. Even their holiday decor hit on every note. My filet was absolute perfection and the dessert were to die for. The wait staff definitely showed a tremendous attention to every detail. I seriously can't wait to return.

WOW! Went in on a Sunday ate the bar, that was pretty busy, our bartender, Dave, was perfect. He was quick to serve us and make better recommendations from menu. Sitting there watching Dave handle all the drink and food orders along with cleaning up the sink and maintaining the integrity of the bar was making me exhausted! But he did it, and did it well. The food was amazing! And dessert is shareable! We will be going back.

Had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. Nick was our server and he provided excellent service and went above and beyond for our special date. His attention to detail was superb and we can’t wait to come back again! The food was absolutely delicious as well, and Nick provided great recommendations.

One word. INCREDIBLE!!!!! Would sum up my whole experience:) my boyfriend made reservations for my birthday at this location due to hearing about live music playing in fridays. We showed up and were immediately greeted with a gorgeous ambiance. Javier was our server and Marko was our designated busser(I would Call him more of a service assistant) they were seriously the BEST staff I’ve ever been waited on from in my entire life! Nothing much more to say than they were INCREDICBLE ! Not to mention the food was a 5 star alone by far 1000%! WILL be back soon(my faves were carpaccio and French onion soup and we were given a slice of cake for my birthday)

Wife's birthday and her daughter gave her a great gift certificate here. We went for lunch and we were the only ones in the dining room, the waitstaff was awesome, the bar is very close so it got noisy as the day went on, if the bar scene is your thing it's a good size. The food was really good and we are going back soon.

Came in for dinner Saturday night Valentines Day. Just myself tried going to a few places every bar had an hour to hour and a half wait. Was able to get one of the last seats at the bar. They were so busy ordered the NY strip was delicious had whipped potatoes. Finished with apple crumble. Bartenders were busy but professional and friendly.

Smith & Wollensky in Burlington offer a sophisticated dining experience with notable highlights and a few areas for improvement. Food & Beverages: The heated lobster sandwich stood out with its rich flavors and satisfying warmth. The classic split pea soup, while a staple, was average in taste. The non-alcoholic mojito leaned more towards a lemonade flavor, lacking the expected minty/cucumber freshness {not in the drink menu}. My husband enjoyed the lovely fresh rolls and the "cocoa hamburger." The "Chocolate Cake" dessert truly is gigantic. Though suggested to serve two, its richness and size could easily satisfy a larger group {4-6 or 6-8 depending on your portion control}. Ambiance: The main dining area and bar exude a modern and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both casual and formal gatherings. The outdoor patio, however, felt more standard and lacked the vibrancy of the interior spaces. The upper terrace remains an experience to explore . It was a sunny and windy day... one "tree plant" felt in a customer, expected them to offered at least a free drink... Service & Amenities: The staff was courteous and attentive. However, it was surprising to learn that the restaurant lacks a blender, limiting options for frozen beverages. Additionally, the espresso machine was out of service during the visit, which was a slight letdown for those seeking a post-meal coffee. Overall: Smith & Wollensky in Burlington delivers on its promise of quality cuisine and a refined setting. While there are minor areas that could enhance the overall experience, it remains a commendable choice for those seeking a premium dining outing in the area. If you have allergies, stay inside.

Great space, nice atmosphere, good service. Food is good. I really my Brussels sprouts with bacon. The angry shrimp is good. Wollensky salad is ok but I don’t like mustard dressing.

Both steaks we ordered Wagyu Manhattan Cut & filet Oscar, were very tasty, and the black truffle fries were wonderfully aromatic and crisp. However, they forgot to bring the cocktail we had ordered.

June 2023: Smith and Wollensky opened last week and we have been looking forward to this opening. We ordered an American Wagyu Porterhouse for two and a crab cake appetizer. I will start with the good. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. It was raining and the valet walked me to the car with an umbrella over me without me asking. What could have been better is the presentation of the dish, and I would have enjoyed it sliced thinner. For a $500 meal I expected a little better presentation.

From my experience trying many other restaurants. I think it's ok.

Great attentive service, lunch was served in a timely manner. Went for dine out Boston so we ordered from their fixed lunch menu for just $36! (Drinks are excluded)

Absolutely delicious steak and many options for those with Celiac Disease! All we had to do was make a note in our reservation about my gluten allergy and we were taken care of. I felt extra safe eating here as our waitress also had a gluten allergy, so she was able to help us navigate through the menu! They also have an allergen menu to display the specific allergens contained in each dish. Both of our steaks were incredible. They were cooked to perfection and the flavor was exquisite. However, there were a few things that took away from the experience a little bit. The restaurant itself felt crowded and somewhat small. Also, the ambience was lacking for me as it just felt overly casual for a high end steakhouse and it was extremely loud in there. As a side note too, the service was a little slow, but this could just be a consequence of the restaurant being busy. The last thing is the prices. In comparison to the other high end steakhouses around, it certainly takes the cake as the most expensive. Overall though, it was a nice experience. P.S. The steak isn't charred, it's the dry rub they use for the bone-in ribeye (which was outstanding).

In the late 70s the original Smith and Wollensky was my go to place whenever I visited New York, it was around the block from the Waldorf. That was a more extraordinary experience than this one is. The steaks are excellent but the level of service is not what you would expect from a $500 meal. I had a Wollensky salad and my wife had the crab cake, both were excellent. For the main course we had the American Wagyu Porterhouse for two. American Wagyu is not the same as Japanese A5 Wagyu. It shares some genetics but not the lifestyle, American cows have happier lives because they spend it in a pasture, Japanese cows spend their lives in a barn. The results are completely different, Japanese Wagyu melts like butter, American Wagyu is basically the same as any top notch steak. The steak at S&M is American Wagyu. It's delicious and perfectly prepared. Where they fall down is how it's served. When I order a $260 steak for two I expect it to be sliced at the table side and for the server to place it on our plates. That's not how it was served. They sliced it in the kitchen and then placed the platter on our table where we had to serve ourselves. That would be great in a Chinese restaurant where eating family style is part of the experience. But in a restaurant where the bill for two comes to $500 you expect much more.

Celebrate specially occasion here and heard about the brand fame. I probably won’t come back again as the food taste is way below its price point. I’ll choose Eddies V or Captital Grill. Bone in ribeye- good portion for two to share. Very SALTY! it ruins the great steak taste. Steak quality is way above. Tell your waiter with less or no salt. I didn’t try the pricy USDA ribeye and hope it may not be. Salad and pea soup is great and recommended. Chocolate cake is a must try and if I come back again. It is this cake. $15 giant piece. You beat cheesecake factory next door. Haha. May be not a fair compare. Service is poor at the price. Tell waitress and manager about the salty steak. Only manager asks what they can do and that’s it. I’m expecting more at this level.

The service is great, I would say this place is held up by the service. The restaurant is lovely. The food ranged from mediocre to not so great. It's an awfully big price tag for what you are getting.

Z
Zach Rohlfs

My rating is based on the price paid and the expected atmosphere of a high end steak house. The steak here is very good. Some of the best I have ever had. That is where things end for the good items. The sides are mediocre at best and I make better at home. Hence the 3 star rating for the food. The drinks are barely passable. The do not have any decent vermouth. Again if you are a high end restaurant you should have quality vermouth. Atmosphere, not for nothing but having TVs and loud noise when you are paying for a high end elegant meal isn’t what most people are looking for. Doubtful to ever go back.

Our meal was a mix of excellent and disappointing. The steaks were fantastic—great flavor and quality. However, the lobster was poorly flavored and the portion was tiny. Service was also very slow, and our table was never given the complimentary bread that was advertised on the website and served to other patrons. One of the steak dishes arrived cold.

My husband, a good friend, and I went today for lunch. We had never been there, and it was to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We made reservations for 1:30. It was not very crowded and there was only one waitress and the bartender and the bartender was our server. Although he was nice enough, he had other things going on. We ordered cocktails, which were fine. My husband and I ordered the steak tips and our friend ordered the lunch sirloin steak. We each got four steak tips on top of mashed potato and a large mushroom. The steak tips were fair, and one we couldn’t eat. My friend really enjoyed her sirloin steak and said it was very tender. The bartender asked after we had eaten if we enjoyed our steak tips. My husband said he was disappointed in the tenderness of the tips but the flavor was very good. The bartender offered to order us another round of drinks on the house but that wasn’t something we wanted to do. He then brought over the bill and never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. He was very busy at the bar-so we asked the manager if we could get a dessert. We ordered the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. The cookie was definitely not cooked enough. When the desert came, I mentioned to add it onto our bill but that never happened. After 20 minutes the bartender was busy and never came over and we had to ask the manager if we could pay our bill, another 10 minutes went by before he came back. The restaurant wasn’t well staffed, and there was very little enthusiasm with anyone there. Again, it was a disappointing luncheon. I think the Capital Grille will be our go to place-we’ve always had a nice experience there with great service.

One of the worst steaks I have ever had, I don't think they know how to cook meat at all. Prices for quality you get are ridiculous. Go to Grill 23 or somewhere else

Restaurants was extremely loud, couldn't have a conversation with the person sitting beside me. Steak choices were good, but restaurant quickly ran out of options that night. Ultimately, the cost of the steak did not align with the flavors. We felt the taste was very basic, execution wasn't original, and the presentation lacked imagination, therefore the entire meal was subpar. The sides were nothing to rave about! I do have to say, that the appetizers were very delicious. The crab cake was moist, meaty, and flavorful, and the oysters tasted fresh, adding extra flavor with the sauces and extras it is served with. Including tips, 2 appetizers, 4 drinks and two entres, we paid just over 500.00 dollars.

For a "steakhouse" their food was ok , shellfish tower for 2 is mis leading why call it a tower and charge $80+ just for it to be mostly ice on a plate was not a tower. 8oz steaks came out to be at least 3 oz after cooked also got a charded up steak. Left a good tip but the food quality needs to be better if you guys charge so much for it.

A
Andrew

Photo is of a “medium rare” ribeye. Unfortunately everyone’s meal came out overcooked and somehow room temperature. $19 for 3 shrimp that are so rubbery you could use them as a tire. Expect to wait 1-1.5 hours to get your food after ordering. The worst part is you can tell they use great cuts of meat. My advice to management, clean up service, hire new chefs, and pay attention to customer feedback.

Took my mother out for her birthday dinner last Saturday evening with our family and was extremely dissatisfied. Our waitress was very rude. She didn’t introduce herself and had no knowledge of the wine selection or any menu questions we asked about. I informed her I had a gluten allergy in which she did not reassure me that my meal was even gluten free but we ordered from the “restaurant week menu” which included soup or salad, main entree with a side included, and a dessert. They only gave us one small cup of a side of whipped potato for the whole table which fed one person when we asked where the rest were for everyone’s meal they said oh there was supposed to be more. So they brought out more however they charged additional for each when the menu clearly stated each meal came with a side. The waitress never checked on us when our meals came in fact we had to get up to go get her attention because they messed up our steaks. Two of us ordered medium and the others ordered medium well. None were correct. The food tasted mediocre no flavor and to say everything was over priced is an understatement especially for the service and experience we received. We won’t be returning.

I want to start off that I’m not one to write bad reviews or be a Karen about small minutiae issues but this place was disappointing in every aspect. Appetizers were very mediocre, only highlight was the scallops and the scallops weren’t even the good part, it was the squash sauce that goes along with it. Scallops were over cooked, crab cake was burnt on the bottom. Steaks were extremely mediocre. Sea-bass met baseline expectations. Bone marrow was extremely salty borderline un-edible. Everything written above was not factoring in the price, when you add the price into it (we paid $535) I would not waste another dime on this place. If you want good food I’d recommend eddie v’s and ostra.

For my birthday, we researched the nicest restaurant in the area. It was beautiful and the food was delicious. At the end of dinner, we gave our credit card to the server. Shortly after, we received a call from the credit card company fraud department claiming that there were 14 charges for services in another country. The problem has been resolved now and we wanted to let you know so that you can avoid what happened to us.
