The quality of service and food is top notch. Fried rice and the dumplings are the best. Pad Thai was very delicious too. We ended up eating here two nights in a row as their food is the best in the resort. But, the prices are really really steep. The cocktails are as expensive as the entrees.

I have eaten A LOT of thai food and not only was this an amazing meal but location service ambience… I cannot expand on how amazing this was. The thai ceviche appetizer was a flavour explosion, Thw cocktail well balanced and as for the main dishes I died and went to heaven. Not a cheap meal but so worth the struggle to find it as half the toads on the map do t exist!!!

You may think, why would I get thai while in Mexico!? Well it is simple, because it is world class thai food with a super fun and lively vibe. Staff provides top notch service, food has all the flavors you would get in Thailand and is easy to access. Check it out!

I’ve eaten Thai food all over the world, including Thailand. I’d venture to guess I have consumed more Thai food than 99.9% of Caucasian dudes in the western hemisphere. This is among the best I’ve ever had. The Montage ain’t cheap but this is worth the price of admission.

This was the best meal my wife and I had in Cabo, and it was truly one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. Every aspect—drinks, apps, main courses, service, and atmosphere—exceeded expectations.

The aromas of the red curry will float around the colourful decor that will remind you of a beach restaurant in Thailand ! The cocktails were impeccable and created to pair with bold seasonings of the menu (Juan will even create a cocktail if your heart desires) without saying that the staff is attentive and efficient. Every single plate, even the appetizers are made to be shared with love! Unapologetically Thai food like mom would do, Thank you!

Excellent flavors and authentic dishes. Atmosphere is very fun as well with nice music and a very casual vibe. If you’re already staying at Montage the prices won’t scare you, But if not you’re in for a shock. $12 Singha’s and $42 beef curry isn’t the norm back in the states, but the quality is top notch and the flavors and heat are so well balanced

One of the best meals I've had all year. Was able to visit Cabo the past three years in a row and was disappointed to see the prices have gone up overall but the food quality went down (looking at you Manta and Flora's Farm)! Talay did not disappoint. It was so impressive. The vibe is great - outside in a courtyard, the food comes from a food truck, and there are strung lights everywhere. Food highlights: Charcoal Grilled Satay Chicken Thai Dumplings Tom Kha Hed (pretty sweet but delicious) Sour & Spicy Local Fish Curry Pro-tip: Get there early and walk around the resort! It's super nice and has some great ocean views!

There were six of us celebrating a friend’s bday. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. We had Dumplings, crispy fish, crispy pork belly, curry chicken, and pad Thai. Everything was amazing.

Great Thai food in mexico... although overpriced for what you get... food was excellent, but our bill could have fed us for a month in Thailand.

The food us very good, a little spicy for me. Pad Thai and mango sticky rice were the best. Pricey even for Los Cabos, that get it a 4 for value.

We had not been back to Talay for a few years, which was great the first time, and this time was even better! Tactful atmosphere, service was good however could have been better, decent list of mixology cocktails (although over $20 each), and the food was creative, flavorful, and artful. For apps we started with the Dumplings, excellent all around, however the Ponzu sauce was a bit sour, the Fried Chicken, wonderful breading that was spot on, breast was a bit overdone but easy to do when frying, the spices were bold, sauce was aromatic and appealing, and the fresh pickles provided a nice touch, then on to the Crispy Pork Belly, very flavorful her salad on top, pork belly was lacking a bit of flavor and was dry but not too crunchy but overall a decent app. Main entrees included the Tiger Fried Rice, which was excellent and full of bold and exotic flavors, Yellow Chicken Curry which again no lack of flavor, chicken was a bit overcooked but overall one of our favorites, and the Pad Thai Shrimp which was very sweet, and most of the family thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert we had the Thai Tea Popsicles, which are such a treat, the Coconut Ice Cream which was heaven, and the Mango dessert which was very good. The Chai Tea with milk is sooo good. Overall, we love Talay, appreciate that they do not hesitate to add flavor which is a common mistake that happens far too often, especially in touristic areas, the food is quality. Prices, especially drinks and cocktails, are certainly on the high side, but in a very nice area and good ambiance. We will return more often and absolutely recommend.

Amazing atmosphere and service. Food was very authentic and flavorful. Some might argue that it was intense and too in your face. Pricey but that's understandable given it's in the montage resort.

Honestly, a bit of a disappointment. Service was good, atmosphere was great, although you need seats with backs, it was hard to enjoy the experience when your back hurts. Food was absolutely perfect, but very limited choices.

I don’t really understand the rave reviews. Dumplings and other entrees were actually kinda bland. And the flies were everywhere. They even had little things that spin on top of the table to keep them away, but to no avail. Not worth the price.

Maybe this place used to be good but it’s certainly not anymore. The food was bland and basic. We ordered Pad See Ew and it came with thin tasteless noodles. The service wasn’t great either, bathrooms a mess. The space is pretty but overall it was not a great experience. Disappointing for a Montage property.

The service was great, and overall the ambience was very nice. However halfway through the mains the two of us had very bad stomach ache, and ended up getting sick with food poisoning shortly afterwards.

To force someone to pay 15% “TIP” its not allow by mexican government, the dishes need mote flavour and less sugar

Edited January 23rd 2026: Dinner on January 9th 2026 resulted in symptoms consistent with a foodborne or sanitation-related illness within approximately two hours. Two days of my vacation were lost, and I had to return to the U.S. earlier than planned. We ordered low-risk items (papaya salad and soups) and drank bottled water only, which raises concerns that the issue may not have been the food itself but potentially handling, dish ware, refrigeration, or broader kitchen sanitation. Management followed up politely; however, after multiple exchanges by email, the response was limited to stating that internal standards were followed, without addressing in writing the broader sanitation factors that could reasonably be involved in such an incident. Given the cost, the health impact, and the lack of meaningful resolution, this experience fell far short of what one would expect from a Montage property. I will not be returning.

Over priced! Plus they charge the first tip without asking you 15% obligatory plus another extra tip… it means they charge you twice the tip… Which by law is forbidden in the Mexican country. On top of the overpriced menu!! what a shame

Terrible! They abuse from clients by forcing to pay 15% “TIP” included and charged at the bill (by force) and “if you wish” you can add an extra extra tip… not bc is at the Montage hotel (bc that was their excuse) means that they have the right or they can do whatever they want with clients. What they are doing it’s not allowed by the Mexican law and PROFECO (Mexican institution who protect the consumers) punish this type of practices
