Great spot in Carlsbad for sandwiches. It was my 2nd time coming here and like the first time, it didn't disappoint. Sandwiches are amazing, salads are fresh and short friendly staff. It gets really busy during the lunch time, but guests are in/out pretty fast so never an issue finding a take try sit at. They have lots of sandwiches to choose from and also daily/weekly specials. Must try spot when you're in Carlsbad.

Absolutely love the fresh salads, and the seasonal Thai Sweet Potato Soup was to die for. I’ve converted several friends to be Mendo Friendos - one of the best lunch spots around.

After a couple days of Mexican food, we felt a healthy dinner is in order and found this spot, first time here and we opted for salads. We got the Chinese chicken and pork belly - both had the same mustardy dressings. The Chinese chicken salad had wonton strips and that gave it a nice crunch while the pork belly had bahn mi influence with pickled carrot/daikon and jalapenos slices. Both were delicious in their own ways and quite filling for a late dinner, a bit pricey though for just a couple ounces of protein + salad

Great place to grab a healthy bit any time of the day. Food is fresh and clean. Place is beautifully decorated and staffed with very friendly and smiling humans. Menu is not huge but it has a good selection. Not so fried chicken sandwich is one the more popular ones. They also have seasonal options.

I love Mendocino Farms! It had been a while since I’d been able to eat here, but it was just as fresh and delicious as I had remembered! My go-to order is the vegan bahn mi and spicy curried couscous. So tasty! They also gifted us a cookie for my grandma who was in the hospital, so sweet!

My mom and I visited Mendocino Farms on a Friday afternoon for lunch, and we had a great experience. We shared the goat and apple salad along with a sandwich, which was about $35 total for the salad, sandwich, drinks, and chips. The restaurant was super clean, and all of the staff were very friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful, and filling without feeling heavy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy option in a medium price range.

I wanted to acknowledge a staff member and a manager who went above to help with an issue. We had ordered online for home delivery and the order turned out to be incorrect upon delivery. After discovering the issue, I called the local Bressi Ranch location where we’d placed the order and explained the situation. The staff member (Nicole) with whom I spoke verified the order that we placed and was not only understanding, but apologetic and suggested that we speak to one of the mangers to get a resolution. She managed it up the right way, but since it was during the dinner rush and very busy we couldn’t get that manager on the phone after a wait, so she suggested calling back a little later or the following day when it was less hectic. The next day I happened to be in the area so decided to stop by. I spoke with a manger (Angelica) and explained the situation. She listened intently and verified everything again (as she should) and went the extra mile to make it right by offering us an in-store gift card to use on our next visit. She did this with kindness, professionalism and a smile! We were most appreciative as we really enjoy the fresh food options at Mendocino Farms and will definitely be back thanks to a great customer service experience! Keep up the great work!

We came in for the first time Aug 17th for dinner. The experience was great start to finish-- the service that night was above & beyond and someone even wrote my 7 yr olds name on the fan chalk board. :) We will be back for more good eats & fantastic service.

We ordered banh mi full sandwich and caprese sandwich with basil pesto macaroni so everything was great it just bread was extra toasted a bit I could taste the burn from it. Not sure k felt the quality has gone down for Mendocino to compare it in the past.

We had dinner here on Friday night. I had the Mendoza’s steak sandwich. It comes on a pretzel bun. It was good, but not as big as I expected. My wife had the Cobb salad, which was very generous. The chicken was excellent. I also ordered the potato salad. It is made with Dijon, so it’s a tad spicy. A very generous portion, and pretty good. It isn’t a chunky potato salad. Their fountain drinks are great - cream soda, birch root beer, etc. The restaurant has a great layout. Booths and tables. And a large outdoor area. They have little tables for kids, corn hole, huge chalkboards, and a small artificial grass area. Kids will love it. The staff is extremely helpful and efficient. Cool restaurant with good food. My only issue is the price of the sandwich relative to the size. At that price they either need to be huge, or they need to rock your world. I’ll come back and try another sandwich or two and see if they change my mind.

Menu options were crazy awesome. Food itself was 5-star. The way they delivered the food was a bit wierd but the staff was friendly and great. Nice area of bressi ranch. Will go here again.

Carlsbad location is cleaner than any location along I-5 area. The sandwich are freshly made, but the side salad sitting on the counter is not fresh, soak in vinegar dressing. All homemade drink are tangy flavor which gives me upset stomach.

I've had some good experiences at Mendocino, though on my latest visit their seasonal "Sweet Peach" salad had unripe peaches that were so crunchy they were difficult to bite on! Definitely not sweet... I think if they don't have ingredients that are ripe or ready they should at least let the customer know in advance (or just don't offer the item). I miss the Pink Lady Beets salad -- that was one that brought me in originally!

We came at 5:30 pm. The restaurant was almost empty and there were 6 people behind the counter. We placed our order and waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. The dry toasted bread was cold. It had been sitting. And it was missing the bacon on the club. My husband had ordered a different sandwich and they brought the same club. He waited another 15 minutes for the sandwich he ordered while I ate mine. They brought a small bowl with small pieces of bacon to add to mine. The sandwich was dry, tasteless. There were only 3 takeouts while we were there. Just bad service all the way around. And the restaurant is getting really run down since our last visit. Sorry to say I can’t recommend this place. It’s possible I just visited on a bad night. We won’t be coming back anytime soon. I expected excellent sandwiches for the price.

Ordered a beer that was served warm. Spoke to three different people to either correct the situation or refund. We’ve already finished eating and still having to wait in line to resolve. I was given a dirty soup spoon twice and the third one was barely acceptable. Soup tased ok though. I tried my husbands sandwich and my dad’s sandwich and they were just ok. And why such tiny water cups? Added to my frustration.

Just got my salad back home after picking up takeout and am super disappointed that the avocado and quinoa salad had super brown avocado. I love mendo and am disappointed that they would serve avocado like this as their food is normally very fresh.

I usually love this place but i literally got two slices of meat for this 16 dollar sandwich. And one of pieces was impossible to chew. Absolutely ridiculous. I guess make sure to check your orders before you leave, I don’t even know. It’s not usually like this but really makes me hesitant to go again.
