Posh Bagel

The line was long. I didn't care because I assumed people are patient and wait for "good food". I ordered a sesame seed bagel toasted with cream cheese! It was delicious! I plan to return soon!...like tomorrow morning Lol!

Their bagels are really good. I like their breakfast ones or BLT. The staff called me once saying they were out of cheese and asked if I wanted something else. Was really nice. :)

Love, love, love the fresh bobas!! Wish they would stay open later in the day. Pesto bagel & Thai tea - my favorite!!

I've been a long time Castro Valley resident & have enjoyed Posh Bagel since they found a home in the Castro Village Shopping Center. They were out of Pesto Bagels on Friday after 10am so I enjoyed their Asiago Bagel for my Bacon Eggwich with Pepperjack Cheese & Tomato Basil Cream Cheese. Always friendly cust svc when visiting. Fair amount of seating inside and 2-3 small 2-top tables outside. Extensive menu to select from; plenty (bottled) beverage options also.

Love this restaurant!! My favorite bagel place to come to for a weekend quick breakfast. Be careful if you go too late because they get very busy, but it’s worth it!

Got to say - this was the tastiest bagel I ever had! The lady at the register was also super nice, quick and accurate, got my breakfast within a couple minutes. I will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Not sure why my review was one star. I love this place. My only complaint is that they never have bagel dogs. Make sure you come before noon or you might miss out on your favorite bagels. Try the garlic cream cheese spread, it's fantastic.

Comfortable atmosphere with some comfy chairs near the windows. Bagels are good quality (pesto is a favorite), but get there on the early side, as favorite bagels tend to run out sooner rather than later. Cronuts are available, if you are into that trend. The menu also includes crepes, sandwiches, Boba tea, and other options, but I have not ventured that far. A favorite place for my family.

i love the eggwiches. quite pricey though. staff is always pretty pleasant which is a good thing. Lot of pretty workers to 🙂. The posh club (in pic) is pretty good. Other sandwiches can get messy and not the best quality. Neat, indoor and outdoor seating.

I tried Posh Bagel in Menlo Park and had the best salt bagel with the most amazing jalapeño cream cheese so I was delighted to hear there was one in CV. Very different experience. I’ve been a salt bagel fan for years but this one was inedible. I thought I had gotten a sesame seed bagel because the amount of salt was overkill. It was more of a salt lick than a salt bagel. And while I love spicy food, the jalapeño cream cheese here was overpowering. I had to throw the top half of my bagel out and I think I’m still retaining water from the amount of salt this thing had. I now have 5 salt bagels I purchased with my order sitting in my pantry. Other than that the bottom half of my bagel was tasty (albeit spicy). Service was good, they double toasted per my request. I will try other bagels here but will drive to Menlo Park for my salt bagel cravings.

Bagels are the best. But on a Sunday morning, you run out of plain cream cheese?? Really?? “We’ve been really busy this morning” was the response. $22 dollars for a BLT and large Boboa Tea. I'm weak. Roughly $16 for a Blt croissant sandwich; slice of bacon, maybe two, cheese, piece of lettuce folded in half, and a, slice of tomato. I asked for onions which is an add on, and I opted out. I was disappointed in the quality of the sandwich particularly because the price appears to have increased and the portion significantly reduced. I'd have more respect and provide repeat business if they would consider loading the sandwich with veggies to make it hearty. Otherwise I would give more stars for the quality of food which I believe to be good.

Bagels are good but pricey. Staff could use some training. They were busy chatting with each other instead of acknowledging us standing there for a few minutes waiting to pick up our order. One gentleman looked at us and pretended not to see us? Very strange.

This is based on my experience on my three visits to this location. Each time I have asked for a very well toasted bagel. First time it was not toasted at all. Second time barely toasted. So on this third try I repeated extra toasted when I ordered, when she repeated my order and didn't mention it, and again a third time. She rolled her eyes and said "you want it brown? " I said "yes, brown is perfect". Got my bagel and went home only to open a untoasted bagel AGAIN. No one home to pawn it off on so ended up in the garbage. This might seem pretty silly to some, but I really dislike untoasted bagels as they taste raw/uncooked to me. I feel I should get what I ordered. They just don't seem to care.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I was disappointed in the breakfast bagel itself, though. In this establishment, the microwave is their best friend (So bad for you). A toasted bagel would have a much better taste profile, and the eggs are a processed food product, not fresh. It's more than likely out of a carton or frozen. I believe the Sausage is a turkey sausage even though not stated as such.

Found a thick black hair baked inside jalapeno bagel, follicle still present. I called them to report it, staff should wear hairnets. I was so hangry. They offered another sandwich, to which I declined.

Ordered online, showed up and asked for my order, told me a.couoke more minutes. No problem, I'll sit and wait. 5 minutes pass, 10 minutes pass, 15 minutes pass...then ask again, "Oh, it was ready, sitting in the back ...". Thanks for making me wait and letting my food get cold...

the manager was not helpful. i ordered online and she told me they never received my order. Someone took my money from them and they were not willing to help resolve the issue and said it was my fault. they didn't offer a refund when i ordered it directly from their website. come to find out they have 2 and only want to deal with what ever on you didn't use. dont order from this place. the manager was rude, worker was rude and not helpful at all.

Waited in line for 20 minutes, when I was called up to order I asked to get a dozen of the bagels that were clearly there, and was then denied service because they "didn't have enough to sell a dozen" even though they had more than enough in the display case. Went to try big apple bagels down the street instead for the first time. Much better service and frankly better product too.

When I ordered everything was fine until they had me waiting 30mins to an hour for my ordered. They was calling out numbers but I never heard my number until I walked up n asked about my ordered n they all catching attitudes saying how they gave out that ordered when I never received it. Then on top of that, he didn’t even warm up my bagel all the way so my food was cold. Very bad service.

I waited in line 15 minutes behind 4 people. The guy at the counter was more interested in talking to the girls ordering than taking the order. It was like he wanted the conversation to last longer. When I finally got to the register. He walked away telling me he would be back in a couple minutes. The other two people working behind the counter would not help. The people in line behind me were furious. This place used to be good. Now it sucks. 35-Minutes total from the time I walked in the door till I walked out with my bagel

Online orders are a mess and expensive here. Their own website doesn’t list most of the items. If you use Uber Eats or other apps everything is marked up approx 1.5 to 2 dollars per item. That adds up quickly. Most restaurants do this but this is a markup of nearly 20% in addition to your delivery fees and platform fees. That is outrageous. See photos for real prices in store. Worse, there is no guarantee that they will even process your order. I had to pay a premium for online delivery and then come and wait in store for 30 min to get my order. This is the second time this has happened. I like supporting local but this business is not getting any more of my support.

Whenever we visit my parents we often get bagels from here and yesterday was no exception. Except this time my wife ordered a regular bagel with spread and it has moldy and had a pungent rotten smell.

Worst bagel ever. Bagel was only cream cheese spread on one side. Other side was dry. The Sprouts were definitely limp. Tasted turned not fresh. Service was good and fast but maybe a little too fast
