Bertucci's - West Roxbury

Our waitress, Karen is always so personable and kind. We always ask for her and she especially loves my 99 year old mom. The food is always fresh and delicious. The lunch specials are very large and reasonably priced.

We had an enjoyable experience on Mother's day dining for lunch. Finn was our server he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken good care of. He was friendly, courteous and great!!! 5 stars!!!!

Hadn’t been to Bertuccis since its Brookline Village closed over a decade ago. The Chestnut Hill/West Roxbury location didn’t disappoint. It was great!! The pizza crust is thin and the sauce is very tasty. The toppings are generous. The Tusacan Roasted Vegetables are absolutely wonderful. Very clean and pleasant restaurant with open oven and excellent service! Thank you Bertuccis!!! Recommend highly. Very reasonable prices too.

I've been dining at this specific Bertuccis for ten years. This evening, we had the best Bertuccis experience we've ever had. Service was sharp, salads were crisp, bread was right out of the oven, and the entrees were delicious. It was fairly crowded but everything came quickly. Well done all around. We'll be back.

I had such a great experience thanks to our server, Nick! From the moment we were seated, he was friendly, attentive, and made us feel totally welcome. He had great recommendations, kept everything running smoothly, and checked in just the right amount—never too much, never too little. You could tell he genuinely cared about making our night enjoyable. Nick’s positive energy and professionalism really stood out. If you’re lucky enough to get him as your server, you’re in great hands!

I go to the Chestnut Hill location on the border of West Roxbury and I always have a great meal and great service.I come in at lunch and my uncle and I have the same waitress every time,Karen.She is super friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu.She is always smiling and always comes with hot rolls right after she seats us.Brings salads right away and is happy to bring more right away.Karen is a hard worker.We see her always helping everyone else out.The pizza is the best.The wood fired brick oven baked the pizza to perfection.And its great that there is a lunch menu at special prices.The food is also served hot with our waitress always coming to check to see if there is anything else we need.We like to thank Karen again for her friendliness and great care to customers .

Excellent food, especially their big salads. Some of these have closed so I'm happy to see this one going strong.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize the outstanding service we received from Julie during our recent visit to Bertucci’s. From the moment we sat down, they served us with warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality. Not only was the service quick and attentive, but Guido the restaurant manager also made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our time there. It's rare to come across someone who brings both efficiency and great personality to the table—this experience truly elevated our visit.

Its a shame it seems like Bertuccis is closing soon, because our experience was great. The food was delicious and our waiter(a young man with short blonde hair) was extremely nice and attentive.

Nick. our waiter was awesome! He was very attentive but not overly eager. Food was great and hot and fresh when it reached our table. Atmosphere was very welcoming and clean.

Came here for dinner with my husband and it was great! Our server Jed was fast with service and checking in with us. Food came out fast and tasted delicious. Will be coming back again!

Finn was wonderful. Our food came out hot. He was amazing waiting on so many tables but yet he was right on our food needs!

Our waitress, Samantha, was an absolute delight!! She was VERY helpful and had great recommendations!

We are long-time Bertucci patrons and were very impressed with the West Roxbury location. Our server, Nick, was excellent; very welcoming and he gave us the perfect amount of attention. Both the food and drinks were excellent; kudos to the kitchen staff and Nick. We look forward to our next visit and expect there to be many visits to come! Thank you to all.

I've been a frequent/regular customer of this Bertucci's location for the past three years and I must say every time I dine here I get the best service and food. Always hot, fresh and delicious. I especially want to give a big SHOUT OUT to our main server/bartender Karen. Karen is always a pleasure, she's so attentive and always makes sure our order is just right. She's very personable and a great bartender as well. My husband and I love coming here and will continue too. Great food, cocktails and conversation...what else could one ask for from a great dining experience.

Hadn’t eaten on site in forever, but was in the area so went for it. Forgot how much we love their rolls! Our server (Eddie, I believe) was friendly and attentive. Food was good and we had enough for leftovers so, yay! Overall a good choice.

My servers Maeve was great, very polite and made sure we were taken care of in a professional and timely manner. The atmosphere was clean, and the workers were polite. Food was good. My only complaint is that the seats are too far away at the booths.

Attitude really is everything. The employees didn't look excited to be there, and why would they be? The place wreaked of gas and the place looks dark and glum, so I was worried about the food I was about to receive, but at least I was taking my food home. They had to be there several hours. And guess what? I was right! Great foundation with the meatball and ricotta pizza and the Rigatoni Abruezzi, only issue is there was no flavor in either dish. As soon as I got it home I added adobo, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper, black pepper, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. Now it's the bomb!

I ordered the garlic parmesan wings which were very tasty. I ordered ahead but, Unfortunately they weren't ready when I tried to pick up. Extra long wait, even if you order over the phone.

You hungry ? Come here! Want good food and service go somewhere else. Overpriced for what they deliver.

pizza was under done our waiter was working the bar and also waiting tables running around and couldn't handle or understand the new computer system. the manager seemed useless she walked around the restaurant and helped cut a few pizzas but she didn't do much else. she could have helped out by getting bread and water for tables and she must have checked her cell phone about 20-30 times in the time we were there. she didn't seem to be doing much hands on work to help out staff or customers. when we tried to check out they weren't able to get our bill together without the manager and she was nowhere to be found. we waited around 20 minutes to pay our bill. total and complete chaos here this place needs Jon Taffer to come in and do a complete overhaul. make the call and get Jon here because this was just unbelievable.

Order a dinner to bring home which was very disappointing chicken was about an once to the meal big broccoli 🥦 that was just taken out of the box and pour hot water over and cream souce was not up to par. I will drive to another eatery next time

For the price, I'd expect much more from the food. The lettuce on the salad was old, the appetizer was reheated frozen food with little flavor, and the pizza was extremely greasy. The restaurant itself is old and needs renovation. I wouldn't go back until they focus on the food and the atmosphere.

Ordered fettuccine Alfredo from door dash. The portion is a good size and they included a ton of bread but Alfredo sauce is god awful. Tastes like water with cream. Do yourself a favor, stick to the pizza.

Workers were great and pizza was delicious. We could have gone without the string of racist speech by the white manager tho. Kinda kills the vibe when you need to overhear that kind of BS when you're just tryna eat your dinner rolls. Said something and got met with a bunch of white fragility.

I was getting takeout for the first time at this location (just moved to the area). I placed a takeout order that gave me an estimate of 20 minutes. When i got to the restaurant i had to wait an additional 35 minutes for a chicken parm that was cooked horribly. Textured like rubber (refer to picture).

Awful. Ordered pizza here, it’s not cheap. Came so overcooked I couldn’t eat it. Pizza wasn’t even sliced properly, could pick it up in one piece. This is my second and last time ever eating here.

My wife, daughter, and I stepped in here for a real quick bit and a conversation before heading home around 830 pm. Our server was great, no complaints there. However, there were mice playing tag in the dining room. We obviously didn't stay. Our appetizer had barely come out of the kitchen. I didn't realize Ratatouille worked here and comes out for meet and greets. Beware of the pets!

Our server Lawrence was amazing very sweet and kind. The food was terrible. The meatballs were burnt. Everything from my salmon was burnt and had no flavor. Thankfully they comped it. Avoid seafood.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS Bertucci's , Put me on hold for 30 plus minutes.(called on way home from Braintree, got to Restaurant, was still on hold, even stood in restaurant) Manager doesn't care. Service Stinks. Been 2 plus years since i was in in 1 good take out , one screwed up take out, and bad service last tuesday nite ,when we ate in and spent approx $60. Will be a while till i step in another Bertucci's. Needs new management. update 6/24/25 time to replace management ordered 2 pizza's. The cheese was under cooked when i asked for well done. 45 min and they could not get it right.

My aunt just opened the order of wings she picked up in person from this location and they are an embarrassment. They chicken looks like pigeon wings. They are not dressed or seasoned as they used to be. The last two times she ordered them they were slightly raw and one order had less than the number paid for. This location should be closed!

This place has gone so downhill. It's such a shame because I used to love the ravioli as a kid, and that's such a hard dish to screw up, but they find a way. Last night I decided I'd give it one more try and get something else, and the eggplant parm tasted like it gave up. I had a few bites, and the server didn't even bother to ask me about it when I declined the offer to box it up. They're probably used to it

I ordered a sausage, mushroom and onion pizza. I got home and it was a pepperoni pizza. I was pissed! The girl at the register didn't look to make sure it was the right one. The wings were ok they definitely could be a lot better! I was going to call today and talk to a manager and then I said what's the point, what are they going to do?

AM I THE ASSHOLE? I looked up on the website for pasta and it said it was 15 dollars, when I walked into the restaurant and sat down it said it was 20 dollars instead. I was already annoyed by the price change but still ordered the same thing. I ordered two fettuccine Alfredo’s. When we got the order the pasta bowls were WAYY too big. So we asked to send one back. The server was nice and said “sure” but then the manger came up to as asking what was wrong about the food. We politely told her there was nothing wrong, we just couldn’t eat TWO BIG BOWLS but we said we would pay for both. She got mad and said we were wasting food. We didn’t think she was going to throw the food out we would’ve gave it to someone but no she threw it away. As we were eating she kept looking/staring at us as-well as all the other employees. Mind you, we were the ONLY black/people of color in the WHOLE restaurant. When we were done eating, which was very quickly because we felt so uncomfortable in the environment the manger gave us another weird stare. We got a to go box and walked out. They didn’t say thanks for coming or anything unlike to eveyone else. This was a horrible experience and I won’t be coming here again.

We were really disappointed with our experience. We arrived at an almost completely empty restaurant—only two other tables were occupied. We had a party of 10 and did not have a reservation, but that was specifically because we called ahead and were told one wasn’t necessary since they were “pretty much empty.” Despite that, the waitress was immediately cranky and hostile about our group size. The tone from the start felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. After being seated, we waited 20 minutes without being offered water, greeted properly, or asked if we were ready to order. We had planned to keep it simple and order just a few pizzas, but never even got the chance. To make things worse, we could overhear the chefs complaining about how disrespectful the waitress was being, which only confirmed what we were already experiencing. At that point, we decided to leave. Basic service and courtesy shouldn’t be this hard, especially in an empty restaurant. If someone doesn’t want to provide even minimal hospitality, they probably shouldn’t be in a customer-facing role. We won’t be returning. No wonder all these restaurants are empty and on the verge of closing. No customers = no business. Do better! Currently enjoying Yard House! January 27, 2026 3:30pm.

This place used to be the "go to" place at 1 time. But after tonight, I don't think I'll go back. I waited maybe 20 mins before we were seated.. I'll take into consideration that my server was busy, but the service was terrible. They couldn't get my entree, correct? I ordered fettuccine Alfredo and they ran out of Alfredo sauce. I opted for red sauce. They brought it out and they still forgot my chicken. That was supposed to come with it...I ordered Half Moon mozzarella sticks. I ended up getting mozzarella sticks.. also brought the entrees out before the appetizers... you always get dinner rolls. First, we got 4 rolls. And the server never followed up with us. I had to ask him a different server for a box to take the rest of the food home. Poor service I don't think I'll let it go back.

The menu seems to have shrunk. No specials. No chicken domani. I ate there with my sister last week. The iced tea was made with carbonated water (yuck). I asked the waiter to take it off the bill and just bring me water. He brought the water but didn't take the carbonated tea off the bill. Then my order did not get made. My sister's food was served, and I expected mine to come right along. After a good 20 minutes, I could not find our waiter; had to flag another waiter. By the time my meal arrived I had time for only 2 bites and I had to leave! My entree was comped but the poor service, not to mention the carbonated iced tea, just left bad taste in my mouth.

Came in thought the pasta (Alfredo) was 15 dollars because that is stated on the app. I ordered 2 bowls of Alfredo that was 20 dollars each . The bowls ended up being huge so we took a bowl back. The manager came up to us ( two 16 year olds ) with a nasty attitude asking us why we didn’t want it anymore. We told her it was to much and she said “well you ordered it” we told her nothing was wrong with the plate it was just to much she took it back and told her employees we are a waste

Host smelt so strongly of weed it set off my asthma (had to use emergency inhaler and leave) there were 3 other tables and they seemed to be heavily struggling. Only 2 people working in the kitchen, 2 waiters (one looked like they had cut off their fingertip and it had a dirty bandage). Also the host and a waiter had a checklist to sit every other table but it seemed neither knew what to do and were running around like headless chickens. After no one coming for drinks and seeing all that decided to leave. Does not match up to the price point.
