I read the reviews about this place and decided to visit. We showed up on Sunday just after noon and had a 20 minute wait. We just missed the crowd as 7 parties walked up behind us. Our server was great. Super fast and friendly. Gave good recommendations. The food was cooked well. I knocked it down a star because we hair in one of the ramens. But again, our server was great. She was apologetic and took it off the bill. I would visit here again.

Just look for a Black building if you can’t find if. Got seated quickly. Got classic tonkatsu and the spicy tonkatsu. The food came out rather quick as well. Chicken karaage was delicious. The gyoza was only ok. The ramens were pretty good and good size portion. The servers were attentive. Parking was hard unless you park further.

Exceeded my expectations. The Shoyu on fire was excellent. Flavorful and as expected spicy. One bowl was not enough. I guarantee you will love this place if you like ramen.

If you're into ramen, the Tonkotsu broth is very similar in consistency and taste to Kopan. I did enjoy it and it hit the spot on the rainy day today. I took a star off cause the chicken wasn't evenly cooked. Some pieces were cooked to perfection, others were overcooked, and one I think was just slightly undercooked (though still cooked through and safe to eat, just texture wasn't there.) I might head back and see if the consistency has changed.

Food was pretty delicious however the ramen price is a little bit higher than other restaurants. Over all very yummy fried chicken rice. The California roll was poorly wrapped and it was broken with the fillings coming out.

Service is great and the ramen is decent l. Glad it opened at the shoppes. Pork: great! Well seasoned with a soft melt side and a roasted side. Broth: on the soupy side. Good taste but watery. Need some more thickness to make the taste linger in your mouth Noodles: weakest part of the ramen. Good and has some bite. But closer to an instant noodles that the freshly made chewiness of some of the better noodles

Pretty bad experience. It’s been over 10 years since I last visited Silverlake Ramen. I previously had a great experience and wanted to try it again since we were in the area. There was From the beginning, the (lady) server approached us without a single smile, which is fine. However, when we ordered the ramen, I asked for an extra bowl. She acknowledged the request but never came back with it. We then asked another server (a man), who said he’d take care of it—but the bowl never arrived. Maybe they forgot. No big deal. Later, when we ordered dessert and it was brought out, we reminded them that we never received the extra bowl. They responded with, “Oh, you still needed it?” (paraphrasing). We were honestly astonished that they would even ask that, considering it was never brought in the first place. Again, there was no smile or warmth throughout the entire interaction. At that point, we just wanted to leave and did so as soon as the check was brought out. The service was ridiculous, and the vibe was unpleasant from start to finish. I would expect a restaurant with a well-known brand name to be held to a higher standard. Management may need to retrain staff and hire a team that genuinely cares about customer-facing service. This was a very simple request, and they couldn’t even get that right. I understand that people have bad days, but in a customer-facing role, basic courtesy matters. Silverlake Ramen Chino Hills has lost a customer—I would probably never visit again.

I ordered 2 ramen combo(dine in) and 1 spicy tuna roll(togo). But spicy tuna roll is very disappointing 😞 It's over $8. I want to return it. It looks like leftover. Can't eat. I never go back.

The environment is great and the food is delicious. However, the customer service could use some improvement. Brayan, in particular, has room to grow in providing a smoother and more attentive experience. I’m hopeful he will improve with time.

Im a regular at silver lake. I’ve had great experiences in 2 of the other plenty locations. This specific location, did NOT meet the expectations that the past locations had left on us. Ramen was watery, eggs were bland. Disappointed.

I was told the wait would be 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting nearly 30. Several tables opened up while I was standing there, yet the servers just ignored them and didn’t bother to clean anything. When they finally cleared one table, they took me to a bar seat that had been empty the entire time. What on earth was I even waiting for? I asked for a normal booth, and the server literally wiped all the food scraps from the table straight onto the floor. It was absolutely disgusting. Then I sat there with no service, no water, no one even acknowledging me. That was the last straw. I walked out, not worth my time or money.

Came in at 7pm on a week night. Unfortunately short staffed and the staff they had were extremely disinterested. This has fallen a long way from the original shop decades ago. Sometimes franchising isn't for your company and this is a great example of the utmost failure of growing beyond one's capabilities.

Ordered an online pickup through Silverlake Ramen's website. I was in front of the store, so I went in and waited. I grabbed the order from the girl, and I also noticed the cook had put the lemon slice in with his gloved hand. He did not use anything to grab it, but I thought it's probably because the gloves are clean. I go to my car, I feel that the broth is not really hot, so I tasted it, and the broth was room temperature...I felt dissatisfied since I had just picked it up as soon as it was ready, so I went back and told the girl in the front about the temperature, so she took it back and told the cook out loud "room temp." So I am assuming this happens often. He was getting ready to close the store, so I had seen him bagging up trash and wiping down counters with a rag. He very angrily dropped the towel on the counter and started slamming things. He threw the noodles in the fryer (or whatever they use to cook them) with the same gloved hand he was touching the dirty rag and trash with. This is where I didn't really know what to do. Then I see him add a ridiculous amount of spice into the bowl, as he is still angrily slamming things around. I then told the girl in the front I'd like to cancel the order entirely because he is very angrily preparing the food and not following food safety guidelines. She told him to cancel it and he angrily looked my way. She seemed like she did not know how to assess my issue at all. She told me there was nothing she could do. She told me there was no manager and that I would have to wait until Sunday or Monday to get a refund. It's Thursday today. I told her I did not use DoorDash, I used the Silverlake Ramen website. They are partnered, but it wasn't through a DoorDash account. She said "you have to contact DoorDash" probably 20 different times, but she never once genuinely apologized for the issues, nor offered me an alternative solution. She then told me "we are closing soon" and "sorry if I sound frustrated but it has been a long day" ...this made me NEVER want to come to this location ever again. I can't believe the horrible service, and the lack of food safety. This is more so shocking than disappointing because I genuinely couldn't believe the attitude of the people there, and their lack of customer service, as well as problem solving. I was polite the entire time, I never once got visibly upset, I expressed my frustration because I was confused on why she could not refund me. She told me she would have the manager call me when they are in on Sunday...and to "try contacting DoorDash." Anyway, I wouldn't come here if I were you...you might have a bowl of ramen mixed with a side of trash and sanitizer. Please avoid this place if you care about your health.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!! Our family always go to Chino Hills branch because we live in Diamond Bar which is very close. During the past visit there's always issues but we did not complaint. We were patience and understanding. But our last was the worst : 1. Forks always dirty 2. One time- they served us a regular boiling eggs not the same eggs for ramen without disclosing 3. When we ordered Karaage Chicken, lady server did not give us extra plates we had to use napkin. We will file a complaint to BBB it was cold rainy day, I arrived with my family ( husband plus two sons ages 13 and 19) and there were two customers ahead of us. They said we have to wait 10 minutes. We are willing to wait and it is normal to wait in a restaurant especially on a busy day. Two customer ahead of us got seated right away. We noticed there were tables available but we were wondering why we had to wait... We patiently waited and it was over 10 minutes, my husband asked guy server and he gave us a menu and said " since you will wait 10 minutes here's the menu" But I was thinking another 10 minutes?. We were waiting in the waiting area by the glass door when it is very cold, While waiting, we saw lady server (mid length hair, wearing glasses, same server we get every time we visit) used bare hands when she grabbed the seaweeds. Not only that she touched her hair and waist without washing her hands or did not use tongs any serving utensil to grab the seaweeds. We all saw her and wanted back out but instead we said we will not get the seaweeds! Our family felt something is not right, we felt stupid by waiting in the waiting area when there were two or three table available. Why they cannot have us seated? How come they cannot make us wait comfortably.. ? They know my husband was upset because he keeps looking at the servers so they finally decided to give us table. MATTHEW/server did not even apologize but my husband expressed his frustration. He cannot give us a good explanation, rude and arrogantly so we asked for a manager. What made it worst Matthew said" he cannot call the manager for us, he cannot do that" so we told him we need to talk to someone higher because we want to escalate the issue but he keeps refusing and keeps saying he cannot... We felt he is racists!! Lady server came and told us that they dont have manager on duty so why Matthew lied. Same thing this lady server did not even apologize but instead she said in a rude way "are you still going to dine in or not" she sounded like she wants to kicked us out.. So we asked for the owner's name but we felt she gave us a wrong number. So this branch do not have manager or they are just hiding their manager so she/he wont hear the complaints. Lady server is the same server who used her bare hands grabbing the seaweeds. These two employees are both rude, VERY dishonest, no respect, very incompetent!! they need to be fired!! After the incident we went all the way to Irvine Silverlake totally different service. Worth the drive

Horrible experience, sat there for 40 minutes and there were 5 tables open with no one waiting, the. Finally got seated and 5 minutes later no one even came to ask if we wanted a drink. Horrible service would not come here again, we just left.
