Soup 'n Fresh brings back the nostalgia of Souplantation. This restaurant takes a refreshed spin in embracing the concept of Souplantation and making it available again. This is their second location from their Rancho Cucamonga start and is located at a former Souplantation location with lots of parking. There was a wait when we went on a Friday night of about 45 mins. Upon entering, the welcome odors of salads, soups, baked items are abundantly available for a dinner price $19.99 currently. Much of the food is as I remembered it including the chicken noodle soup. The wonton salad was a bit overdressed but it might have been because we were nearing the end of the night. The baked goods were great but I missed the blueberry muffins that had the muffin top shape with the edges.
I am glad that they have opened a branch at chino hills because racho cucamonga is kind of far from us. But just like racho cacamonga long wait was expected. Tonight we started waiting at 7:10 pm and got seated past 8:15. I always started with two plates of salads. And then went for chicken soups some pastry. They do offer a variety of soups like clam chowder chili and creamy mushroom beside their signature chicken soup. Also an ice cream machine for dessert. I am happy that they offer both senior discount and healthcare professionals discount. Thank you for those and fresh ‘n delicious salads.
So glad we have a "Souplantation" comeback. Soup 'n Fresh uses the same location as Souplantation and the utensils and everything. I tried going to the Rancho Cucamonga location twice, but ended up giving up due to the long wait on weekends. I went to this Chino Hills location on a Tuesday and there was no wait. I forgot to grab a tray and went straight for the plate. It's been too long and I forgot the tray. Salad and soup selections were similar to Souplantation and they had a few different desserts. They even had the plain spiral pasta and penne pasta along the salad bar. By the bakery section there was also some macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and Alfredo penne. The macaroni and cheese sauce was a bit dry. Could use more cheese sauce. Chicken noodle and clam chowder were nice. The flavors were slightly different than the Souplantation original recipe. In the bakery section there were muffins and cornbread. The blueberry muffins looked depressing and they were dry. I hope they make better ones. Haven't tried the baked potato, but will next time and they have the little paper sauce cups with butter or margarine too! Didn't check if they had the sweet maple/honey butter though. That was good when Souplantation had it. Selection of drinks and soft serve ice cream machine available. Didn't try those yet. Some waitresses looked like they dreaded work and looked annoyed, but the others were ok. Overall if you miss Souplantation, definitely give Soup 'n Fresh a try. They should open in Arcadia next! The old Souplantation location on Huntington Dr. is still there.
I reached the most intense and beautiful, peaceful flow state in this Soup N Fresh. I think I saw God as I made my mac n cheese combination before dessert. Employees were kind, food was fresh, and the vibes…immaculate💕
The nostalgia hits hard. I love the taste of everything... It takes me back to pre-pandemic times... IYKYK The salads were constantly being refreshed and the breads and soups were plentiful. I absolutely LOVED the Chili. This chili recipe could win awards!
I'd say it's basically souplantation! However the part I love is instead of standing by the casher and wait for the seat (and staring at your own food and can't really sit down and enjoy), you mostly wait outside until there's a seat ready to be taken. Great food / service and will definitely return!
Ever since Souplanation shut its doors during Covid, life has been but a sad saladless journey. But then we came across this gem, and well, Souplanation who? While somewhat similar, Soup n’ Fresh offers all the same great options— salad, soup, pasta, dessert, and more— but with FLAVOR! We’ve patronized both their Rancho and Chino locations, and the consistency is what keeps us returning. The lines are a bit long, regardless of location, but it’s well worth the wait for some delicious, fresh, soup and salad.
Really good. I loved souplantation back in the day and I was heartbroken when it was discontinued and waited years to see if they would bring it back or something similar. Seems like I’m not the only one who felt that way. Glad to see something similar to it has returned in Soup n Fresh. Pretty much the exact same set up. Everything here is good and fresh and hot. Loved eating here. Only two locations so far that I know of in SoCal each a pretty hefty drive but worth it for the experience. Hope they expand more over the years but overall a great experience. Gets crowed and pretty noisy but that’s expected but would still highly recommend. Very happy to have this.
Friday 2/13/26 Dinner at Soup n Fresh with my friend Eddie. Enjoyed the fresh veggies, soups, breads, and pasta. The restaurant was well lit, cleaned, and spacious. There was lots of service staffs who worked hard and quickly. David Young Restaurant Enthusiast
It was very much an adventure for us to get there in the first place, 45min drive for us coming from Westminster/Huntington Beach area. After waiting in line for an hour just to get in the door, it was like we had stepped into a modernized Souplantation. Seating and decor updated and modern but keeping with the nostalgia of the old plastic crockery soup bowls (now in updated colors including the souplantation red croc bowls) the small fluted soft serve bowls
Full salad bar. Their corn bread is amazing. Also has pizza bread and pasta for the kids. A variety of soups too! It's not too busy during the week...if you visit on the weekend, be prepared to stand in line. If you love Salads, the wait is sooo worth it!
If you've missed Souplantation since they closed several years ago then Soup 'n Fresh is the place to go to! They've managed to recreate the vibe and the dishes. Itll be just as you remember. 😁 the one drawback may be the longer wait but it was worth it for us.
If you liked Souplantation before ! This is just like it ! Variety of soups and salads! It definitely made me feel like before suplantantation closed. The salad bar filled with fresh vegetables and ingridients also other good options for salad toppings or dressings. . Soups for that day were very yummy my favorite is the broccoli cheddar or the chicken soup. The only thing i did not like was how long you have to wait to be seated lines go outside and wait time can be up to an hour plus !
It was just as magical as souplantation. I see why everyone hypes it up. Everything tasted as close as possible to the og. The chicken noodle soup might be better though- the noodles were longer and there was far more chicken and noodles in one ladleful than i ever had at souplantation. Will definitely go back.
Perfect replacement for souplantation! Food/menu is almost identical! Great for the family, awesome selection, reasonable prices. About a 30 min wait to get in tho for dinner at 6pm...
Missed soup plantation so much so just had to try this similar place. So glad I did because it’s so clean and delicious! Quality salads, soups, pizzas, pastas, and much more! Service is amazing too! Please be kind and tip your waitresses and waiters for picking up all the empty dishes and bowls. Thank you!
We drove 40 minutes and waited an hour in line IN THE RAIN. Every second was worth it. Customer service was amazing from everyone. All the food was fresh and delicious. Please please pleassee open a location in orange county!
This place was great! There was a wait to enter the restaurant, but once you’re inside, you forget about it. The food is food and fresh. They pick up your plates once you’re finished, so the tables aren’t cluttered. I enjoyed my visit here. I will definitely come back!
If you’re missing Soup Plantation this is the place for you! 1. There was a line/queue but it was so well run, nice to know you don’t have walk around with your food searching for a seat. 2. Senior discount (55+) will save you a couple of dollars. Thank you! 3. Great selection of salads & soups, chili, baked potatoes with all the fixings, pizza & a dessert bar. 4. Manager & staff were helpful & friendly. 5. Not sure if it’s all the time but there was a 2 hour time limit…never felt rushed & it was not a problem. Well done Soup & Fresh! I cannot wait to get back to this place.
Everything was clean and tidy. Selections were well stocked and table cleanup service was efficient. Didn’t even realize this location existed. Will definitely return.
This place is similar to souplantation. Service is good and the atmosphere is nice and chill. The salad bar is excellent and fresh. Prices are pretty good for a good quality salad, soup, pasta and pastry. Chicken Noodle Soup, Mushroom Chicken Soup, Clam Chowder, Alfredo, and pizza is my favorite so far. I recommend people to come over to try on weekdays because it may be crowded on the weekends.
2nd timer here #SundaysSoup 3.16.25 1st timer came w Tristan and his JV varsity tennis team on Monday 3.10.25 Both for dinner. Loved it so much, we’re here a 2nd time within a week. During my 1st visit. Had a really great experience. We were a party of 13, 3 adults, 10 boys. The wait was about 20 mins long. We got separated into 3 tables, seated next to each other. The salads were fresh along with all of the vegetables. My fav soup is the pozole. They had big chunks of pork bones. Really authentic pozole. Loved it so much. I had 3 refills. The blueberry muffins were absolutely delicious and served warm. Love it with the honey whip butter. So bummed they don’t sell the soups to go like the old soup plantation did. Pozole, clam chowder, blueberry muffin, Chinese chicken salad & i made my own salad Pretty big and spacious restaurant. Located across from Lucille’s Bbq same plaza as Hobby Lobby in the Chino Commons. Lots of parking available. Tip ~ 10% off with valid student ID. Really nostalgic like Soup plantation. Including all the known salads, soups and how the plates, bowls are. Definitely worth the wait!
Last time i was in here back in 2020, i didn't think id ever get to experience souplantation again, but soup 'n fresh has done it again. Food is delicious and fresh. Same vibe as it was 5 years ago. Inside is redone and things look fresh. Came here for friday lunch around noon and wait was around 20-30 minutes. I expect this to only get longer, good luck fellow soup enjoyers 🫡 EDIT 2/24/25: Came Monday 6pm, no line and open seating!

No line weekday lunch after 2 pm Food is good have everything as what u remember, price is good A little smaller compare to rancho one but still big enough The server didnt really help collect plates here tho
People cry when it's gone and then they cry when it returns 😂 the food is delicious, fresh and they have more variety than before they closed down! The pasta tastes better than it did before, there's more soup varieties, and the salad toppings are the exact same with the exception of the "premium toppings" which was pointless anyway. Nobody should come here looking for protein, obviously. Staff is good, not as friendly as the old restaurant but they do a good job. Love this place and I'm THRILLED it's made a return!
If you loved Souplantation, you will enjoy this place. Same all you can eat salad bar motif and plenty of salad fixins', soups, pasta and bread, then top it off with a little ice cream and dessert! Reasonable price per person. Get there early for lunch and dinner as the place fills up fast!! The Farmer in the Dell would approve! Go getcha some!
The best part for me was the variety of soups, they tasted great. I also enjoyed the plethora of vegetables and salad dishes available. Overall it was a nice vibe . Waited in line 40 min on a Saturday lunch time so be ready to wait. Servers are also meticulous to pick up your plates as you finish allowing your table to be ready for round 2 or 3. Give it a try.
I personally like the Rancho location better in terms of location and restaurant layout, but my first visit to the Chino Hills location was the quietest yet (major plus). I try to get in for an early dinner to miss the dinner rush. Everything was good. My only complaint is that it seems the ice cream/soft serve is different. Maybe it’s not but the fat kid in me could detect something amiss with last nights soft serve!
Food and set up is very similar to Souplantation, my only problem is the selection for both the fruit section and the ice cream section. Both are lacking severely. For the fruit selection they had grapes, that is all. For the ice cream selection they had fudge, that is all. If I remember correctly, Souplantation had a more varied selection and more options for these sections. Still highly recommend and I would still make the 2 Hour drive to go again.
We arrived on a Saturday when it opened at 10:30am and there was already 91 people ahead of us in line (yes, I actually counted). After a 50-minute wait, we were finally let inside. The setup is just like Souplantation—you start at the salad bar and pay at the end. While the variety was the same, the freshness didn’t quite compare to the Rancho Cucamonga location. The dining area felt cramped, with tables placed so closely together that I had to be extra careful maneuvering through with my tray. The soup selection featured all the classics—chicken noodle, clam chowder, cream of mushroom, chili, and minestrone. The clam chowder was definitely the standout! I also enjoyed the brownie muffin and cornbread with honey-whipped butter—delicious! The soft-serve machine was also a hit! Unfortunately, with a $17.99 lunch price and such a long wait time, it’s a big time commitment—and honestly, it just doesn’t feel the same.
Not too much of a selection of soups. It would be great to have someone show new customers how to navigate through the food area. The layout of the dining area is pretty straightforward. The staff is really friendly overall a great place to eat. The wait is anywhere from 30 mins to 1hr so be prepared.
The place is great I love the food! However, the waiting line is extremely long, and they don’t have any proper system for it. Everyone has to wait outside under a tent, standing in the heat and sun for hours. The line is based on the order of arrival, which means you can’t leave or you lose your spot. It would be ideal if they had a better waiting system maybe a pager or an online queue system so people wouldn’t need to stand outside in the heat for so long.
We came at 11am and waited about 45 minutes for our party of ten to have a table. Not terrible. 🤷♀️ The whole salad bar was fresh and had good ingredients. Soups were all delicious, especially the broccoli cheddar and chicken noodle. Mac n cheese and Alfredo pasta were also great - especially with the bacon added! No complaints, except that the baked goods (brownies, muffins) are all a bit dry - but I felt that with the old Souplantstion too. Oh, we did wish that the bowls and small plates were closer to the bakery area. Every time you want more, you have to walk all the way back to the entrance to get dishes.
First time visiting since the old Souplantation closed years ago. The salads were okay, but both the soup and the bread/baked goods were improved from the old Souplantation. The cheesy flat bread was quite good and as was the mushroom soup. The claim chowder was on the watery side with the claims that had gone MIA. The service was pretty good as the tables were clearly fairly quick. Seniors (55+) receives $2 off on lunch and dinner.
I visited here recently for the 1st time since pandemic. It was so sad when they closed. They changed name but foods are the same. Mostly I liked it but the famous clam chowder has less clams than before and chicken soup little saltier than before.

Went around 2pm. The food was okay but I don't think I'd wait in line for 1.5 hr again. The salads did not look that fresh. Good variety in salad options and soups. Wish there was more variety in breads and pizzas. The staff are friendly. The ice cream machine 👍

The wait for the restaurant varies between 1 hour to perhaps 2 if they’re really busy. The two times I went we had to wait in the sun for a long time, but I don’t think it’s that bad if you’re going for the nostalgic food. While waiting, I noticed groups of people walk in without waiting in line. When I asked the employee later, they said some people are allowed to walk in because their group has already gone inside. However, there is a sign that is posted outside the door at the front of the line stating, “To ensure fairness and keep service running efficiently we ask that your entire party be present and has waited in line together before going in.” That seems very contradictory. While inside, we were seated near the middle of the restaurant where the walkway is. While the food is amazingly nostalgic and the price is very affordable, I felt very unsafe eating inside because people kept walking around with hot soup hovering over my head. I think things could be better with the layout of the restaurant and the way dishes are picked up. I worry that an accident could happen where someone gets hurt with food or broken dishes that fall and/or break. I will definitely return, but I hope things can be improved for the future. Regardless, I loved Souplantation and now Soup n Fresh!

Soup ‘n Fresh is the newest addition to Chino Hills. I began to feel nostalgic walking in here and remembering the last time I stepped foot in Souplantation in the late ‘90s. Upon entry, you see a similar layout of the soup and salad buffet area. My friend and I arrived a little before 6pm last night and one side of the buffet was not in use. I was also told they usually have a long wait time especially being new; however, when we arrived, there was luckily no line. While it’s not rocket science to figure out where to go, I feel like the restaurant prematurely launched an opening prior to some meticulous details that would’ve answered some simple questions or some signage for direction. I’ll just give you a run down of what to expect here upon entry: STEP 1: GRAB A TRAY AND DISH WARE. Grab a tray, plate(s), and/or soup bowl(s). They have large and small size plates; and only one size of bowls. STEP 2: SELECT FOOD ITEMS. This is where it got sorta “messy” because the left side had the soup and hot items while the right side had the salad and cold items. With people walking from different directions, some signage hung from the ceiling would’ve worked in this scenario. Anyway, pick a side you want to get food from. I picked the cold side (salads first) and fill your plate(s). Now go to the other side and select what you want, if any. STEP 3: GRAB YOUR UTENSILS. There is a utensil tray at the end of the cold food items with soup spoons, smaller spoons, forks, and butter knives. STEP 4: ADD DRINK(S) & PAYMENT There is a register next to the utensils where you can decide to add on any drinks to your payment. The cost is dependent on whether it is Lunch or Dinner. As of March 2025, this is what I paid before taxes: * Adult Dinner $19.99 * Fountain drink $3.79 If you purchase a drink, this is the time the cashier will hand you a fountain cup. STEP 5: GET SEATED One of the workers will find an open table for you or your party. They have booths, tables, and a combination of both. When the space is filled, it’s pretty tight in the restaurant. Especially with people walking back up to the buffet. STEP 6: Repeat STEP 2 if you want to go back for seconds, thirds, etc. Notes: * Drinks are to the back side of the hot food items, toward the restroom. * They have Men and Women restrooms here with at least 2 stalls in the women’s restroom. * You (and your party) get 2 hours to dine after payment. * If going back up for seconds, thirds, etc., be sure to place the little card on your table that says you are just getting food at the buffet to ensure no one takes your table. * Be sure to leave a tip for your server! My experience was decent, food was okay, I enjoyed the nostalgia (and the company) more than the food. My favorites were: * Mushroom Soup (I went back for seconds for this soup); * Arroz con Leche; * Tapioca Pudding; * Grapes; * 3/4 Arnold Palmer + 1/4 Strawberry Lemonade; and * Making my own salad (the pre-mixed Caesar and Asian salads were too soggy-looking for my liking). Our server, Nico, was great! I was impressed to receive such great customer service from a buffet. He kept working diligently and checked on our table often - taking away any trays, dirty plates, and asking how we were doing. I also liked how they had extra napkins at the table. We gave Nico a nice tip! :) Overall, it took me back to my last Souplantation visit. I really enjoyed Soup ‘n Fresh especially their Mushroom Soup (yum) and the Chili was a close second, as is their Alfredo pasta. The salads were fresh too. I would love if they offered fresh avocado, even for an extra surcharge. It would complete my salad. Again, I think some signage hung from the ceiling to direct first-time customers would be an added benefit. Also, I’d love if they had Caesar dressing as one of the options as opposed to an already-dressed Caesar salad.
Went on a Friday night and there was quite a line — it took about 30 minutes before it was our turn, with around six groups ahead of us. The parking lot gets really packed, especially since Frosty’s Pumpkin Patch is right across the street and many visitors park in the same lot , so definitely a heads up there! The food was just okay, nothing particularly special. It really gave strong Souplantation vibes with nearly the same layout and similar food options. We did enjoy the baked potato bar as it has lots of fun toppings to choose from! The salad bar was also great, offering an impressive variety of toppings and fresh ingredients. The kids especially loved the self-serve ice cream station. On the downside, the restaurant could use some extra attention when it comes to cleanliness. The food stations were messy, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in a while. The utensils were all mixed up and didn’t match the signage. Overall, it’s a nostalgic, family-friendly place that brings back Souplantation memories, but it could really shine with better cleanliness and upkeep and more food options such as more pasta options.
The original location in rancho is better imo. The layout/decor is much better both in vibes and efficiency. There seems to be less space and options here as a result. The salad wasn't as fresh and just less tasty but that could just be my visit day. Some items, specifically some soups and baked goods were good. Vanilla ice cream was broken. I'd recommend just going to the rancho location.
Food was great!! I enjoyed it, love the clam chowder, love the cheese garlic bread, and LOVE the ice cream! However, if you prefer to go to the bathroom and come back to still see your food on the table, this place isn’t for you. I went to this joint after a hike in chino hills with my family. Multiple family members left to the restroom with very full plates on the table, and came back to an empty table, despite other family members being there. Staff did not ask if these plates were still being used, and simply snatched them off the table. Otherwise great establishment! However if you would like to keep your head attached do not go here. My aunt that I was engaging in conversation with was sitting down as one does in a restaurant. An employee walked by, viciously bumped her head, couldn’t utter the words “sorry maam”, and went about on his shift. All of the staff was quiet, no welcoming hospitality, I felt like I was being judged, and I felt unsafe. Great food though! I enjoyed the pickles.
I visited on a Sunday and experienced an incredibly long wait time to get inside the restaurant. It would be greatly beneficial if the business implemented a reservation system, especially during busy periods, to alleviate the lengthy waits, particularly when accommodating large groups of 20 or more people. I found it quite frustrating to wait for hours, especially when I noticed that two large groups were seated ahead of us, which significantly delayed our entry. While the food was decent, it’s important to note that the menu selection is limited to soups and salads, which might not satisfy everyone’s taste preferences. Overall, I believe that improving the reservation process could greatly enhance the dining experience for all patrons.
Missed the soup plantation era and happy to see somewhat reborn. However they aren managing the operation well for scale with demand and that’s a business that runs a risk of crashing. Longggggggg lines, lazy staff, unsanitary conditions during peak times, empty stations with no staff to refill. If the owner is listening, fix it! We love soup plantation and spent tons there. If you guys fixed scaling issues you would be way ahead. Taut me the long lines isn’t a good look and doesn’t help. Especially in the cold rain waiting for over an hour. Can’t you attest get space heaters and chairs like the Rancho location?? Come on guys
New restaurant for the fans of the old Souplantation !!! First time trying this location in Chino Hills. This place was clean and busy. Food looked great. Ceasar salad was just okay my build salad was great with the house made ranch. I enjoyed the Chile, but the Chicken tortilla soup not so much. The baked potato bar was good but potato was pretty small. The cheese bread, garlic cheese bread, corn bread, chocolate and blueberry muffin were all good. There is a soft serve station and a good variety of drinks. I love a good salad and they didn't disappoint, but I'm more of a Carnivore so not some place I would frequent that often.

I mean, it’s Soup N Fresh. People are clearly coming here for the Souplantation or Sweet Tomatoes nostalgia. The line is almost always long on weekends and during peak times. The food is okay and close enough to trigger that nostalgia feeling, but there are definitely areas where flavor could improve. For me, the salad was not as fresh or flavorful as I would like. The pizza and focaccia bread were good. The best soup by far was the cream of mushroom. The cornbread was very hard and dry and I could not finish it, but the muffin was moist and enjoyable. Other soups like the chicken soup and clam chowder were fine and tasted how they should. I will say this location feels less efficient than the Rancho Cucamonga one. It is smaller, more cramped, and the line moved noticeably slower.

Absolutely disgusting service and disgraceful policy. I came to this restaurant for the first time and was shocked at how horribly we were treated. My father, who is fasting and wasn’t even planning to eat, simply wanted to sit with me while I had my meal — and they flat-out refused to let him in unless he ordered something. Seriously? Are we charging people just to sit at a table now? To make it worse, I learned the owner runs both locations, and instead of improving customer experience, they’ve made it even worse. Now they print the time on your receipt and give you a 2-hour limit. So apparently, you’re expected to inhale your food like an animal and get out. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can’t imagine who’s actually eager to come back. Absolutely pathetic hospitality. Whoever thought this was a good business model clearly doesn’t understand customer service. I will never come back, and if the owner doesn’t wake up and fix this tone-deaf, greedy policy, this place will be empty in no time — and deservedly so.
First, the reason for the 1 star. Visited a little after 4pm because we eat dinner early and the lines are long. No line today so we got in faster than I thought. Receipt said 4:11. We were told there is a 2 hour limit. We got our first course. I got a big plate of salad and picked my way through it intending to get some of the more fun things after some veggies. Husband plowed through all 3 courses. I finally finished and went to get some soup. I'm disabled so I sent husband back with my soup and a little pasta. We were gone no more than 3 minutes before he went back and I stopped to get one more bowl for a little mushroom soup. I get back and everything is gone, except the glasses. Table has been wiped down, reset and the card, which I had made sure to leave in a conspicuous place away from the salt and pepper, was back in it's place. They also threw away our receipt with the time written on it so no proof of when we came or how long we could stay. I only had healthy stuff at this point we were there less than half an hour. I was deeply uncomfortable staying at that point or getting up to get more food with my husband's help, especially with no proof that we even paid, so we left. I asked to speak to the manager and explained and said I don't understand how that happens or what more I can do besides leave the card out that says we will be back in a crunch. He just kind of looked at me blankly and explained what he thought might have happened. I appreciate the effort but I can guesstimate all on my own. Help me understand why it's safe to come back here and that coming back again won't mean throwing $50 out the window. Tell me it is a training issue and you'll remind staff to check for cards before assuming they're gone. Literally give me any reassurance at all that I can have an enjoyable and healthy dinner. Nope. Didn't happen. I might try another location, because like a lot of folks I have a deep nostalgia for Soup Plantation/Sweet Tomatoes and was so excited to get there at a time that as a disabled person I could actually get in. We've gone by 5 times before to be faced with what for me are insurmountable lines. As for comparisons to the now defunct chains, it all looks and feels very familiar but is a poor imitation. There are familiar things like the wonton salad or the tuna tarragon, the latter I've seen at other buffets so I'm guessing it's Sysco or something like it. It tastes the same. But the plain pasta tasted strangely chemically. How? It tasted maybe like badly abused Teflon pots or something? I'm so confused how plain pasta tastes like chemicals. The carrot pineapple salad was bitter. Again, how? There aren't as many protein options as the old chains used to have, so your only option is to load up on beans and cheeses and whatever eggs are left. They have Bleu cheese by the dressings but literally just put a tablespoon in an otherwise spotless and mostly empty tray? The tapioca is the same. The arroz con leche is somehow super watery. The strawberry yogurt tasted terrible. The jello was exactly what it's supposed to be. Again, nostalgic. Thankfully I only get a bite of each of those so I didn't feel like I missed out. The garlic bread is great but I got one piece and it was gone when I wanted some with my soup. Some of the reviews say the pastas aren't good but I think that's overly harsh. I had taken a bite of my husband's to see if I wanted my own and I think the Alfredo and mac and cheese are better than any other buffet I've ever had. Did not get to try the potato or dessert I was looking forward to because of the aforementioned issue so I can't speak to those but I can't imagine you can mess those up. Husband said the soft serve was good, he got 2 servings so it must have been. I would have liked to have tried it myself. So if you haven't been here and have been wanting to try it, I am not sure I'd recommend it. Might be worth seeing if there is a location with better reviews and try that. *photos of reset table, minus card I had placed again in a prominent location.
It's not souplantation. So excited that this was a copy restaurant but no of the recipes were the same, and could not be compared. The rancho location has much better reviews so maybe try there instead? Really disappointed in the chicken wonton happiness salad. Wasn't good at all here.
