Kickin Crab offers delicious food, impeccable service, and a fantastic atmosphere. The dishes are with flavor, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend for a great dining experience!
Noah S was fantastic! Thank you for the incredible service and attentiveness! The playlist was very enjoyable. Will be returning.
Food , atmosphere and service are top notch! I am very happy with how quick the food came out!
My recent visit was hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The garlic noodles were an absolute standout easily a 10/10 and the shrimp was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Everything exceeded my expectations, and the quality and consistency truly impressed me. Nothing but positive feedback for this restaurant it has officially become my go-to spot. Highly recommend!
Usually get the Cajun style shrimp, mild with sausage or potatoes and it's really good 👌🏻. I love coming here with friends. Pricing depends on what you get but I think there's something for everyone.
I always come to this spot or Shrimp Factory in Moreno Valley. I prefer Shrimp Factory within 50 miles but this place is second best. 80% of the time the food is really delicious and tasty. There are a few times where I had a water down sauce. I like my seafood boil sauce with everything mixed and a little spicy. The prices are decent but its been increasing in price. I went here with my friend and we both eat a lot. We ordered 2lbs of headless shrimp, 1lb of mussels, sausage, potatoes and corn. We added Garlic Noodles and rice on top. Everything came out to $98 which to me is overpriced compared to Shrimp Factory. The staff is always on point. They’re always friendly and quick to get your order. They always treat me nicely. I love their staff. It has a nice atmosphere and it always seems clean. It’s convenient that they have a sink outside the restrooms for a quick wash when you get down and dirty with the boils. I believe they earned 5 stars although sometimes it could lack flavor once in a while. Just let them know to make sure its not water down haha.
🦀 The Kickin Crab – A Flavor-Packed Feast Worth Getting Messy For We celebrated Father’s Day with a seafood spread that seriously impressed. The Kickin Combo Deal #3 was more than generous for our party of three (my dad, my mom, and me) — featuring a whole Dungeness crab, a serving of mussels, and two hearty portions of head-on shrimp, all boiled to perfection and drenched in their signature Kickin Style sauce. The flavors were bold, buttery, and full of heat — everything you’d want in a Cajun seafood boil. We kicked off the meal with their Cajun Edamame, which packed a nice spicy punch and doubled as a dipping sauce upgrade for the main course (pro tip: that extra lemon pepper sauce from the edamame - Pure gold). The fried calamari was crispy and tender — a solid starter that disappeared fast. Service was fast and friendly, and even on a busy holiday, the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively and casual, perfect for cracking shells, sharing bites, and making a delicious mess. The Kickin Crab delivers big flavor, big portions, and an experience that’s as fun as it is satisfying. A must-visit for seafood lovers in the Chino Hills area.
My son wanted a crab boil and we came here after church to make his mukbang dream come true lol. Even my oldest son who doesn’t eat seafood found something on the menu he liked (chicken tenders) I was sad they didn’t have margaritas but they do have Micheladas and I know that’s just a personal preference. Everything was delicious and we spent under $300 for a group of 7 and we ATE! I love the spice levels and flavor. Service was amazing and the ambiance a lot of fun. I will definitely be back.
Good little place for a different food experience. Dress casual to avoid maybe staining any nice clothing. Our teenage girls really loved it!! The menu is not laid out well it’s kinda confusing. The service was good. Hands down the staff was attentive. Only thing was the Dungeness crab was mushy. And the “sausage” you pay for is a slice of sausage not a whole sausage. It can be over priced for seafood. Overall, I would go back for a 2nd round.
We had combo #1 with cajun sauce medium. Shrimps were big and plump, and tasted fresh. Clams were little disappointment as they were mix of medium and small sizes, and most of meat were separated from the shell. Corns were juciy and good but sausages and potatoes were not as good, esp.the size of sausages were was too smaller than normal. Garlic noodle was good as usual. It would've been better if the noodles were little bit more firm. But still good. Service was great. Friendly and quick. No more paper towels though due to the pandemic, I kinda miss that.
I’ve been to many of these shrimp/crab places and this one is not much different. That is not to say the food is typical or mundane, far from it. The edamame appetizer with medium spice was amazing. I’m not much for this edamame thing most of the time, but the sauce here really sets it apart. Even at medium heat, prepare to have your nose run in a glorious mucous laden celebration of spicy goodness. The shrimp, sausage, and corn were cooked and delivered in their plastic bag by a very attentive waitress. She was both gracious and welcoming, and quick in her drink refills and meal service. Drink refills will be important if you like the spicy flavors. Overall a great place with several locations in So Cal.
We ordered shrimps and snow crab legs. The meats are mushy, which means they are frozen not fresh. Maybe except the dungeness crabs & lobsters which should always serve fresh. At the time of this review, they are $31.xx / LB which the supermarket sell them for around 9.xx / LB. Unless you really like their sauce, I would recommend buying it from the market. Overall, the price is decent (most items) and the food is ok. Their service is excellent and their staffs are very friendly.
Went back yesterday. Service got worse. Lots of empty tables , but we waited over an hour for 2 people on a Monday night. I get it....not enough servers....Our orders did not go through and took another thirty minutes. And lastly the fish and chips; the fish flat and nonexistent tasted awful. Their one flavor is still good and one of my favorite Cajun style shrimp. I gave it 3 stars because the sauce is not consistent.
Food was fine, but the service needs a lot of work. 🤢 It was our first time coming here, so I had no idea how anything worked. When we first arrived, the front was completely disorganized, and there were no lines at all. People were just crowding around the hostess table, so I had no idea how to add my name to the waitlist. There were no signs that showed where the line starts, and no line was being formed at all. The hostess kept having to walk people to their table, so it was nearly impossible to grab her attention. When I did manage to do so, she was very rude and prioritized other people before us. She obviously saw us come in before other people, but ignored that fact and just added other people to the waitlist first. Ridiculous. Their waitlist system is through Yelp, which sends you a text when your table is ready. Based on the app, it said that our table wouldn't be ready for about 1.5 hours, so we decided to walk around the outlet in the meantime. After nearly 1.5 hours, I saw that we were 2nd in line and decided to have our family walk back to the restaurant. While we were waiting outside for me to receive the text, we heard the host call my name and say that our table was ready. We met with him, and I said that it was odd since I hadn't received the text yet. He said, "Oh no, the hostess told me about you guys. You said that your phone was dead, so you'd hang around the restaurant and wait for us to call your name." No. We never said that. They have us confused with a different party. This means that if I hadn't checked the waitlist regularly and had just waited for that text, it never would've come, and we never would've gotten seated. What a messy system. Also, I've never been to a seafood boil restaurant where we have to ask for the bibs. Normally, they're given to us right when we're seated, so it was weird. We noticed other people were given bibs right when they're seated, so we're not sure why this happened. Other Kickin' Crab locations also give you an entire bottle of ketchup, whereas this place only gives small plastic cups. Weird. I think the employees and other customers would agree with me when I say that the entire place is completely disorganized because multiple orders around us were being messed up. The table to our left was missing its piece of corn and sausage in its bag of shrimp, while the table to our right was missing crawfish in their bag. The workers were obviously trying their best to straighten things out, but it didn't seem to be working. The menu is consistent with their other locations, but the market prices are a bit higher than what we're used to. Compared to the location that we always go to, this place offers bigger frozen crawfish, but the bags were mainly just the claws, so it seemed like a big ripoff. * Cajun Fries: 8/10 - nice cook, but there was only cajun seasoning on the top 🍟 * Shrimp (Head-On): 9/10 - good flavor 🦐 * Crawfish (Frozen): 6/10 - big crawfish, but the bag was mostly just claws and not enough garlic The place is located at the Shoppes of Chino Hills outlet, so parking is relatively easy. After being seated, the servers were nice, but it was difficult to enjoy the experience because of everything that had already happened. Overall, the service was a huge letdown, and we did not feel comfortable eating here. Places like this are why tipping is optional. The workers at the Kickin' Crab location we usually go to are way more laidback and friendlier, yet still maintain impeccable service. Would not return. 😒
Spent $75, took it home ate 1/2 of it shrimp, craws, potato, sausage etc. put it in the fridge in a Ziploc. Warmed it up the next day. Ate a bit of it but still had lots more I was looking forward to. But then suddenly came down with the most severe case of diarrhea I've experienced. I was in the toilet 20x literally.... What happened to my food.
I am writing to express my deep disappointment following my recent visit to your restaurant. The food quality and taste were far below expectations, and when we tried to address our concerns with the staff and store manager, we were met with indifference. Rather than taking our feedback seriously, we were simply encouraged to order more items and spend more money—without any genuine attempt to resolve the issue. This experience made us feel unheard and disrespected as customers. We hope you take this feedback seriously and work on improving both your food standards and staff training in handling customer concerns.
