Exactly what Cibolo needed. This place is terrific. Amazing wine selection. Pleasant wait staff. Delicious snacks. Warm and relaxed decor. I highly recommend 1908 for a date or meetup with friends.

I booked The Venue at 1908 for my retirement ceremony and I am extremely impressed with how the event turned out! The event planner was amazing to work with and everything was so much better than I expected! The Venue was so cute and the food and drinks were fantastic! I was able to customize everything to my liking and my guests were thoroughly impressed with the whole event. Highly recommend this Venue for your event needs! 1908 House of Wine and Ale is by far my favorite wine bar in the SA Metro area!

I loved going here. The ambiance is nice and the overall feel of the place was comfortable. Wines are wonderful, sangria is on point and have yet to eat something there that wasn’t delicious. Been there a few times and only had one time service was slow and confusing and that was also because they appeared to have an engagement party going on as well.

1908 House of Wine has become a regular spot for my friends and I. We appreciate their weekday deals, which make it an affordable option for get-togethers. It is a very cute-looking place, with options to take photos. The live music is a nice feature that adds to the overall experience. They have a calendar on their website detailing the days that it is available. Recently, I purchased a bottle of wine here as a Father's Day gift. The selection was good, and the staff helped me pick something with very little information since I do not partake in wine myself.

The hosts at the bar are all amazing. Despite my attitude to not download the app for the menu, they shared their phone with me and continued to be kind professional and very friendly through my visit. I've been coming here for years now and always have a great experience. Please keep doing what your doing and .... bring back mother's day, bingo, and it's time to knock out that back wall and expand 😀 ❤️.

Fantastic place to sit and enjoy a good glass of bourbon. Always good atmosphere, conversation, and good music. The bar snacks menu is phenomenal and the liquor selection is top notch. One of our favorite hangouts in the area.

As locals we tend to hit up the same few bars but decided to try something new tonight and we were not disappointed. Our bartender/host/one woman show Chelsea was an amazing host. Every drink she suggested was perfect and we were not disappointed. I appreciate that they keep their selection on rotation and take the time to talk with each patron. Her suggestion for the soup of the day with grilled cheese was perfect and Liz in kitchen made it spectacularly. We will be 100% coming back to enjoy the food, company, and connect 4. 🤙✌

I really enjoy 1908 for their different wine and beer selections. I also enjoy the fact their food menus changes seasonally ( the Ruben and pretzels with beer cheese is so good). They have several events that have been fun and I look forward to doing more there. Overall very enjoyable.

What a great place to have drinks and food. Service has always been top notch, as well as great selection and prices. If you get lucky they will have live music as well.

Have always had a great time here! Good beer and wine selection. Their trivia nights are fun. Even my 13 yr old enjoyed participating in their Harry Potter trivia night around Halloween!

We enjoy this place. They have an outdoor patio that is pet friendly and a good happy hour. The charcuterie plate is pricey but delish. We got the small happy hour cheese plate this time….it was ok, not as good as the big one. The pommels frites were good though!

We celebrated our wedding with an open house wine and cheese reception at 1908 House of Wine & Ale and it honestly could not have been more PERFECT! The atmosphere was spacious yet intimate at the same time allowing everyone to visit casually and enjoy our time together. It just felt so natural like a good ole house wedding sitting out on a beautifully lit yard, listening to music with friends hanging out on the porch making memories. The food, well… I can’t even explain what makes a “Grown Up” grilled cheese so amazing, among the many other things available that you honestly just need to go and try it! Many thanks to Amber for walking us through it, making it all so incredibly easy, and to their awesome staff that quickly accommodated all of our guests. They were all amazing! We had our 2nd date at 1908, we loved it then, and now it will forever be a part of the story of our wedding day!

Participated in an outdoor wedding of lifelong friends. The ambiance was so elegant and rustic simultaneously. The service staff was so attentive to all of our needs. They made the day so comfortable for everyone in attendance. The variety of craft beers allowed an enjoyable experience within itself. The appetizers were savory and delicious. Salami Caprice, chorizo stuffed mushrooms. Deviled eggs. Meatballs. Muffuletta. Bacon wrapped smokies. The outside was beautiful for an afternoon wedding.

This is a very nice quaint, romantic place to go for date night. The atmosphere was very friendly laid-back kitchy comfortable. There was a musician there playing guitar music that was so fitting for the atmosphere. The staff and bartenders were awesome customer service was great staff was friendly. Overall this is an adorable little nugget snuggled in on main Street in cibolo. I feel so much like I'm in the country and it's a nice place to get away from the city and everything. I give this place two thumbs up you've got to try it for a date night, and they have a full bar and if you love whiskey or tequila this is a good place to go 🥰❣️

It's my first time visiting @1908houseofwine. Today, Happy Hour is until 7pm. I enjoyed the $5 Sangria. Colleen ordered the Deviled Eggs and Cheese Plate. We shared these and also the generous Charcuterie Board. We got to choose the cheeses (Havarti, Cheddar, and Brie). It was so filling, and we each brought home leftovers. The bonus was Colleen treated me tonight! I was reading earlier that the site mentioned a huge selection of wine and ale on tap. Definitely not short of options. We sat at the covered patio area. There are both indoor and outdoor seating.

My second time here introduced my friends to Cibolo and 1908, I love their Charcuterie Board -generous portions of fruits,olives,nuts -We chose 3 cheeses and 2 meats, meat is an extra charge. Took advantage of Happy Hour - 7pm-10pm Friday & Saturday night. Had the red wine on tap- we mixed Pinot noir and Cabernet - yum! Like the Couches. Outdoor dining. Staff is friendly and the service is on point. On Main Street in Cibolo gr8 area! Worth a visit!

The vibe is awesome. The restaurant is in a old renovated house. And the renos are beautiful. The music is soft and mellow. My wife and I purchased wine and beer samples and they were good. We were able to build our own sample food tray and it we devoured the entire tray. Please stop by and enjoy a night of great food and awesome wines and beers.

It took awhile but I made it back after they opened and Wow was I amazed. Beautiful place. I'm not a huge lover of wine but in our previous conversation the owners said they would for sure have one I liked. I had explained that it wasn't the wine it was the headaches it gave me. Back to the story. Anyways, low and behold they presented me with a fantastic glass of wine and some of the most amazing cheeses and snacks I've ever had in my life. And I even lived in LA for almost 30 years and have been to plenty of cheese bars!! The best thing is I had zero headache the next day. I've been back a few times since as I live in the Austin area. When I go it's usually a weekend and they have had live music. Each and every time the musicians have been worthy ion being on a network singing competition. I think one of the ones I saw was actually on "The Voice". So now when I find myself in San Antonio I always plan on stopping by one a night at the 1908 House of Wine and Ale. And if you are reading this I suggest you do the same! You will not be disappointed! After posting the pics I had taken I had completely forgot to mention the Homemade Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese they had one night. I had never had Home Made Tomato Soup so I asked her if I could take a peek at how she made it. LOL OMG was it delicious and the Grilled Cheese was sheer food for the Soul!!

What a fun date with my some of my good high school friends with live in San Antonio! 1908 has an old-time speakeasy feel. Lots of classic comfortable furniture that you can lounge and visit with your friends around and drink the freshly made sangria. I was surprised to find out that the old Main Street of Cibolo have some cool and historic buildings built in the early 1900s. This one has been refurbished and renewed and still has that old timey feel and smell. Definitely perfect to get off the beaten path of the normal things in San Antonio and check out an older restored building with excellent service, interior design, and affordable drinks.

We hosted a baby shower here and it was absolutely incredible. Amber did an incredible job. She made the process so easy, the food and drinks were amazing, and all of our guests gave rave reviews. If you are looking for a party venue, I can’t recommend 1908 enough.

Visiting from Florida and stopped by this..... House built in actually 1908! Victorian style inside, no TV's and live music. Wine was great and appetizers that will fill you! (Jalapeno deviled eggs) Great little place with the Kindling next door for a nice dinner, but reservations needed! That was built in 1911. A must!!

Great atmosphere! Super cool building, very cozy. They had some football projected on the wall but no sound since they had live Christmas music (not a complaint). Appetizers looked very good but we only tried drinks since we had just left the place next door where we had brunch. It gets 4 stars because $13 for a cocktail is steep, I’m glad to see downtown Cíbolo becoming alive but anything over $10 in this area seems too high to me.

Nice place. Great selection of craft beer. Food is good but nothing fabulous. Rather weird setup though. Bar area and couch (living room like) area inside and outside tables like a restaurant. Pretty small and very few staff (on 2 visits), so service is a bit slow.

Hard to give 3 stars for service because the bartender did her best. It was difficult ordering a drink because she was so busy and had no help. The place was crowded ( Friday night) but only one bartender. Sad

Bring back the old guy band. Not a fan of the performance on 1/30. Otherwise, drinks were superb!

if you wanna be ignored by staff come here! walk in=not greeted. didn’t know if we should sit ourselves or wait for hostess. eventually sat down at the bar top and ordered. we saw our drinks/food sit at the server pick up station for a longgg time. i had to pipe up to ask for our items. long line of people waiting to close out cuz no one was servicing their tables. drinks good food nice. just over all bad experience because of the service. hopefully that changes.
