Opinions de The Quarter Creole Cusine Claremont
Loved it! Flavorful and delicious food - got the black garlic brussel sprouts, catfish, shrimp in lobster sauce, and beignet and they are all amazing. Our server was very attentive and even gave my best friend a complimentary ice cream with fruits and a candle for her bday. The decor of the restaurant was well decorated, as if we were back in New Orleans. Highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience at this The Quarter Creole Cuisine. From the moment we walked in, the New Orleans atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The food was full of rich, particularly Catfish sandwich and beignets both were perfectly cooked, crispy, and seasoned just right. The sides tasted homemade and fresh. Garrett was friendly and attentive, making sure everything came out on time and exactly how we wanted it. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food you get. Quarter Creole Cuisine is definitely worth visiting. I’ll be coming back again soon.
Some of the best food out there. Appetizers, entrees, drinks, ambiance, service and dessert were exceptional. I’d recommend ordering a bunch of different desserts so you can try them all like my family does!
My first time here. We did not have a wait time. We were seated right away. The food and drinks were great. Made you feel like you were down home. I will be back.
Have been looking to find Jambalaya for the wife for a while, she loved it. The crab legs were delicious. Might come back for her birthday to live music on Tuesdays
Charming atmosphere, wonderful service, absolutely incredible shrimp and grits. Shrimp were tender, cooked perfectly, seasoned generously. Already looking forward to coming back.
Oh me , oh my ! This place was amazing 🤩 The ambiance was spectacular. This place was recommended by my son in law's sisters for my daughter's birthday dinner. Everything looked so delicious 😋🤤 I personally could not eat what I really would have liked, due to dental surgery the day prior. I could only have soft foods and was not trying to miss out on celebrating my baby girl . I opted for the ever so savory red beans and rice and a beautiful, fluffy and full of flavor garlic biscuit . I know it sounds so simple ,yet it was thee best red beans and rice I ever had. I savored every bite. The rest of the table had the catfish , gumbo and Oysters Christine all of it thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The only draw back was the kids menu. We had little ones ages 3 and 4 and all that was offered was shrimp and fries separately and only one ate shrimp and the other wanted chicken nuggets . So my suggestion is to feed the littles beforehand or pick them up something on the way that you know they like and bring it along . I felt so bad for my grandson because he was hungry and wanted chicken nuggets. Other than that I can't wait to go back for the fried catfish and red beans and rice. They are a little pricey but the food is well worth it indeed. The parking lot is quite small as well . We of course went on a busy Friday night so that didn't help but perhaps on another day it would be more accommodating.
My spouse and I dined at The Quarter Creole Cuisine on Feb 13. We were looking for a special place to celebrate Valentines day but not on the actual day, and we've found it! This place is top notch from the vibe to the food to the waitstaff. We had a 10 out of 10 experience. I was a bit nervous because seafood is not my favorite, but the food blew me away. Daniel was our waiter and he was so great and friendly and his recommendations were spot on. I had the salmon and it was a 10. I still regretted my choice, because after tasting my spouse's catfish, it was an 11! We started with the brussels sprouts and the crawfish biscuit. We loved the brussels sprouts. The buscuit was the only thing that didn't live up to the rest. It was good, but not our favorite. We ended with bread pudding and the croissant beignet's and the beignets were divine. We loved the decor and vibe too. It was a really special. Night. Highly recommended.
Every bite from appetizers through desserts was scrumptious! I had the Quarter Catfish and it was fantastic, but so were the other dishes served to our table, especially the Gumbo! Don't miss the brussel sprouts (seriously) and the bourbon bread pudding (yum).
Fantastic food & very reasonably prices. Highly recommend the ratatouille, soft shell crab, & especially the whole fried catfish! It was tremendous. Most everything we had was great - gumbo, shrimp and grits, foie gras toast, crawfish biscuit, even the bread & butter was memorable. Maybe skip the etoufee, not as good as the rest
A Hidden Gem That Feels Like the French Quarter Itself! From the moment we stepped into The Quarter in Claremont, it was like being whisked straight to New Orleans. The atmosphere was electric — the scent of Creole spices in the air, the soft hum of conversation mingled with jazz playing in the background, and the decor that looked plucked right out of the French Quarter. I half-expected to walk outside and find a brass band on the corner! We started with the soft-shelled crab and grits, perfectly crisp and full of Southern comfort. The fried catfish topped with crawfish étouffée was rich, flavorful, and absolutely indulgent — pure Louisiana soul on a plate. The roasted catfish with lump crab was delicate yet decadent, each bite melting in your mouth. Even the bread and butter were unforgettable — the sweet Creole butter was so good we could’ve made a meal out of it alone. Our bourbon cocktails were spot-on — smooth, balanced, and crafted with care — and we finished with the bread pudding drizzled in warm bourbon sauce, which was heavenly. Every dish was layered with flavor and heart. A special shoutout to José, our server, who was not only attentive and friendly but truly made us feel like family. His recommendations were perfect! We live three and a half hours away, but honestly, I’d make the drive again just for a date night here. It’s that good. The Quarter doesn’t just serve food — it serves an experience.
A Hidden Gem That Hits Every Note! Quarter Creole Cuisine is an absolute treasure! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the perfect tone—warm, welcoming, and full of that classic New Orleans charm. The food? Out of this world. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Creole flavor, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen pours heart and soul into every plate. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and the experience. It's rare to feel so well taken care of without it being overbearing, but they struck the perfect balance. And if you're lucky enough to go on a Tuesday, you're in for a real treat. The live music was phenomenal—lively, soulful, and the perfect backdrop to an already unforgettable evening. It added such a fun, energetic vibe to the night without overpowering conversation. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Quarter Creole Cuisine is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back!
The Quarter is by far one of the best restaurants in Claremont. As someone who’s traveled to NOLA, this places captures the ambiance of a classic New Orleans restaurant. It’s warm, inviting, and so chill yet exciting. The food is truly authentic to creole and Cajun cuisine, compliments to the chef! And the staff there are very attentive, but make sure to not rush anyone. I ordered the Fried Catfish St. Charles as my entree, and it was exceptional.
We came here for my sister’s 19th birthday and I’m so glad we did!! The food was delicious- we got gumbo, catfish, crawfish, chicken, and salmon. Out of a party of 11, only one didn’t love their meal. My sister didn’t care for her shrimp in lobster sauce but I did and loved it. So I think it’s just her weird tastebuds. Our server Jose was attentive, efficient, and polite. He was also patient with me when I sent two non-alcoholic drinks back (sorry again lol). He took pictures of our party and knew to take multiple at different angles! The ambiance was nice, I especially loved the ceiling and chandelier. Would go here again and again!
My girlfriend saw this place somewhere on the internet since she loves Southern cuisine, finally decided to try it, we had a reservation for 9:30pm and it was not an issue, the kitchen was still fully open, Daniel was our sever and he provided beyond EXCEPTIONAL service and attention, we were given a complementary shrimp & grits as an appetizer and it was delicious. We ordered Crawfish and biscuit appetizer and it was as well delicious, for entree we both ordered the smothered chicken and absolutely delicious, we where STUFFED but they then provided a complementary hearty big scoop of ice cream topped with fresh fruits and caramel, like I mentioned before the service was EXCEPTIONAL, it is a bit pricey but the service and complementary dishes provided made it all the worth while along with all dishes being very high quality, definitely will be coming back , I did order a cocktail and a was very good as well
Tucked away in the heart of Claremont, The Quarter is a culinary gem that blends Southern charm with California polish. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was memorable—but it was Daniel, our server, who elevated the evening to unforgettable. If you find yourself dining here, do yourself a favor: ask for Daniel. His warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge of the menu rival service at even the finest restaurants anywhere, at any price point. We took Daniel’s recommendations and were richly rewarded. The Shrimp in Lobster Sauce was decadent and perfectly balanced, while the Catfish was crisped to perfection and full of flavor. It was one of those rare meals where every bite makes you pause in appreciation. Honestly, it'll be tough not to reorder the same dishes next time—but with a menu this strong, I’ll gladly explore further. To finish, the coffee beignets were an absolute treat—just the right nod to Decatur Street and French Quarter cravings. And for a final flourish? A glass of wine from the California Prison System’s own label—surprisingly fantastic and worth trying for the story alone. The Quarter is more than a meal—it’s an experience, and Daniel ensures it's one you won’t soon forget.
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was one of the best meals of our lives!!! As a sober person, I was thrilled to see their non-alcoholic list that included craft mocktails and dealcoholized wine. We chose the Category Zero Hurricane and the Noey Collins as the perfect start to our experience. For appetizers, the Crawfish Pies and Shrimp & Grits were outstanding. For entrees, we took Sebastian’s suggestions which were the Jambalaya and the Fried Quarter Catfish. We had to save room for dessert, so Sebastian kindly boxed up the rest of our meals and we ordered the Croissant Beignets and the Bourbon Bread Pudding. In addition, we were surprised with the best scoop of candied praline ice cream covered in sea-salted caramel and toffee bits. We had to try the Gumbo so we ordered some to-go (which was superb for lunch the next day). Just WOW!!! You can really taste the craft and culture that goes into the food here. Every dish was beyond exceptional, and the entire experience literally almost brought us to tears lol. We live on the East Coast, and it breaks our hearts to know that we won’t have regular access to this incredible restaurant, but we will make it a point to come back one day for another meal here. Many thanks to everyone who made this experience so wonderful!
The food was great, and the service started off strong. We arrived when they opened, and our waiter was very attentive. However, about 30 minutes later, a large party of ten was seated in our section, which slowed down the timing of our food delivery. It became a struggle to get our waiter's attention to order dessert and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the check. Despite this, everything we ordered was delicious. The St. Charles catfish was fresh and well-seasoned. The oyster appetizers were delicious. I usually don't care for fried oysters, but these were done well. The crawfish biscuit and beignets were amazing, though the bread pudding was overpowered by the bourbon—a bit of a heavy pour. We will definitely return and hope the service matches the quality of the food.
Food is good. It is rich and has a healthy dose of cream and butter. I would say it’s close to Creole cuisine as it can be having been to many restaurants in New Orleans, LA. Service and atmosphere are both great! I have been here three times now and the only critic I would have is it would be nice to have a menu change —or a weekend special. Main dishes are a healthy portion! Desserts are also decent portion again rich, buttery and delicious!
It was recommended to my wife and I to come here on a Tuesday night due to live music. We took our friends and when we walked in, we didn’t realize how live the music was. A band named Gumbo Child was there and they were amazing. You couldn’t hear the person in front of you but it was definitely a vibe. People were dancing the entire time and really into it which made for a really fun experience. My buddy, who has been to New Orleans, said this was very similar to the food he experienced there. Started off with a Lost on Bourbon St. cocktail which was delicious. Similar to an Old Fashioned. We got the Seafood File Gumbo appetizer. I loved it except for the oysters but that’s just me being picky. The Shrimp & Grits was phenomenal - would definitely get it again. And the Quarter Catfish was really good. It didn’t taste too fishy, which was amazing and kind of odd, right? Really light and tasty though next time I would try the Catfish St. Charles. The desserts were really, really good. The beignets are incredible. I’m not a big bread pudding guy but it was good - the rest of the group thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was really good, especially with the noise level. Very patient with us as it was our first time there. And the decor was awesome (I attached one picture just so you can get a sense of what it’s like). Would definitely recommend this to anyone. It’s fun, it’s excellent food, and great service.
Went on Valentine's Day, on 3-course meal. Food was good, but maybe my expectations were too high. Catfish main entree was well cooked and tasted good. Salad and appetizers were okay, nothing special. Carrot cake was good. Drinks good, maybe a tad overpriced. Server was attentive. All in all good, but nothing stands out as so good I can't wait to come back.
Great food and wonderful service. Bit on the pricier side when considering portion sizes, but still well worth a visit for some gumbo and bignets. Popcorn shrimp are also a must: hot, fresh, and delicious!
Friendly staff. The highlights for me were the appetizer (salad) and the quarter catfish.
I had the Fried Oysters for an appetizer which was plenty to share. They were absolutely delicious. I indulged in a veggie App that my friend shared with me. I was bursting with amazing seasoning and flavor. For my main entrée I had the large bowl of Gumbo. While the flavor was good, it lacked ingredients that most and definitely some of the very best Gumbos I've had included. I also thought it was very pricey for what you received in the dish. Sorry to say it was at best, just okay for me. The best part about of The Quarter restaurant was the atmosphere and the very kind and attentive servers. The Amazing and fun staff made our large group experience unforgettable.
Food was a little hit-or-miss for us. Jambalaya side was good, but a little goes a long way. Biscuit with crawfish and ham topping was very good, but very rich. Tomato salad was fine if a little skimpy on the tomato. The main dishes were underwhelming for us. Sautéed catfish was very bland. Pork tenderloin was unlike any tenderloin dish I’ve had. Meat was pounded so thin we thought it was ground meat re-formed into patties. Batter was thicker than the meat. Plus it was very salty, definitely skip this dish. Plating was very dated, see the photos. Overall the flavors were very one-note throughout, but service and atmosphere was nice.
