The Spot Cafe

It is a nice cafe on Foothill Boulevard in Claremont, located next door to Boca Burger and Trader Joe's! I have been here many times. I would, usually come during my lunch break, or in the morning. I would, usually, order, coffee, or sometimes their sandwiches. The sandwiches, were often delicious, and made in a timely manner. Of course, during noon, it would get crowded. However, the working staff were handling these situations perfectly. In addition, they were helpful and attentive. The prices though were incrementally increasing! Still, they were not on the expensive side. So, I would recommend anyone, who is in Claremont area, to visit this small coffee house!

Hard to find vegan spots near or in the IE, this little spot didn’t disappoint! The food was what I expected. The employees were very friendly!

Great small business spot! They got a little bit of everything. From smoothies, to açaí bowls, sandwiches, etc. we tried the spicy tuna sandwich & chicken Cesar wrap. Delicious & stuffed with the right amount of protein. They brought extra dressing for my partner to our outside seating. Customer service was on point for our first time. So convenient for post gym meal. Will definitely be coming back to try smoothies.

I was having a good experience 😱 until I requested the staff to cut my sandwich in HALF. Unfortunately she doesn't know the term HALF. Making a disaster of my sandwich. 😂😂 I still eat it the ham is the expensive one so delicious and the coffee ☕☕ perfect. Despite the crumble sandwich I will return.😘

I am grateful that there was options for everyone in my family. Vegan options were outstanding and the overall feel was very positive and relaxed. This being a college town, this is a perfect place to have any meal, student or for a family dinner. I will absolutely return. The pizza was to die for. The tortilla instead of dough blew me away. There was so much flavor. I am lactose intolerant and eating cheese hurts me no matter what, but I had to try the pizza. It was amazing.

This place is great! A big healthy menu of drinks and food. Coffee, juices, smoothies, shots, sandwiches and more! Awesome vegan options and they even do meal prep. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Limited inside seating but a big open patio.

Ok, I didn't order anything for myself because I had major allergy symptoms but I had a taste of my daughter's yummy protein tacos. They were delicious and thinking on getting an order for myself on the next visit!!! Drinks were yummy too!!

Nice place for smoothies and healthy snacks. They make the smoothies from scratch. You get to watch. Nice people. I read the reviews and I am pretty sure many of the reviews are about the shop next door.

The spot makes great acai bowls and this menu is just awesome. There are so many healthy options and it is a really fun vibe inside. People are very friendly. There is always a line, which means it is worth the wait.

I’ve come here three times, and it’s never been disappointing! They have a variety of healthy sandwiches, and I love their fresh, seasoned grilled chicken. They use simple ingredients to turn them into a delicious mix. The servers are so polite and nice.

I gave 5 stars for food and drinks, it really is amazing. However the staff there is so bad. I usually stop by as i go to the gym next to it, and every time is the same cashier, between 11-1pm when i usually go, never says hi, always has an attitude and looks angry! Its a shame how great this place is, but the customer service is atrocious.

The breakfast burrito with egg, potatoes, cheese (add on veggies) was perfectly edible. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. They don't have salsa just this weird off brand tabasco packets. Very uninspired but a valiant effort.

It is 95% banana and 5% spinach. Not a hint of PB or Açaí in it whatsoever. I have 4-5 years of experience working in smoothie bars and my tastebuds tell me this is definitely not worth $9. Anyone who’s worked with Açaí knows that even half a packet would’ve turned this cup a deep purple ish brown. I am disappointed. I would recommend going to the real “spot cafe” in Hermosa Beach instead if you are looking for healthy and flavorful food.

Heartbreaking for me! One of those charming "spots" I would love to give 5☆'s...but I can't! Their food and service can't stand up. After two tries...it's a "no go" for me. They should be slammed...they're not! Ordered scrambled eggs...which sat on the counter until they were ice cold...(with an abundance of staff It's hard to see why). Seems a "lax ship"... no one's "running the show". They are pleasant with the "gab" but they really don't care about the "quality" of what they are doing. Sent them back...they came not even mixed before they hit the skillet. (Cook came out and apologized to me) I ordered the very simplist thing I could think of... scrambled eggs and toast. In two tries...if a restaurant can't produce this....maybe It's time to take a hard look at what you're doing! Toast was so cold and hard the lump of butter just sat on top...never melted in. Suggestion: try a better quality of bread...maybe La Brea Bakery? At the extreme prices you charge there's a need to up your quality. Chicken salad came so spicy my Daughter couldn't eat it. You couldn't taste the chicken...AT ALL. The turmeric and ginger shots are wonderful! So is the general "health vibe" of this "almost" great little "spot." My suggestion...get someone who can COOK...and up the QUALITY OF YOUR PRODUCT! I won't be back...you committed the "KISS OF DEATH" for me! After the cook and crew...(seeing I couldn't eat the breakfast...after two tries) did not offer MY MONEY BACK! That's a "rip-off"! You must get-what-you-pay-for or you have been "cheated-out-of-your-money, Honey!" I left hungry and they had my money! So, down you go to a 1☆! So disappointing!
