Excellent Thai food in a strip mall setting. Very ornate cute interior. Clean dining room. The front of house lady (maybe owner) was so so friendly and welcoming. Pad see ew with chicken and their home made coconut ice cream. Fantastic. Ordered take out around 3pm Sunday and the food was ready quickly and was piping hot. 10/10! Will be back:)
It you've been to Thailand and enjoyed the food this restaurant will make you feel like you've traveled right back. This location shows it has a lot of history and the food hasn't disappointed.
I love this place! It's such a hidden gem. Owners are sweethearts with lovely service. I have a lot of Thai family members and as a result eat Thai food all the time - their curry and tom kha are top tier. Lisa brought me a sample of another curry so that I could compare the two. I was impressed by the *perfect* level of heat my curry had, exactly how I asked for it. Will be coming back again and again. ขอบคุณค่ะ
The best husband and wife duo EVER!! They are the most kind and sweet humans. We absolutely love this place; My bf has been going here since the 80s. They treat us like family and have the best food! Try the silver noodles ! And the homemade ice cream!
The food is amazing; if you go there you should order: the Tom Yum soup, sautéed chicken, beef and broccoli, chicken and rice, sweet and sour chicken, chicken chowmein, and yellow curry.
I don't know why it has taken me to write a review of this place. I have been a patron of this business for years. It is my absolute FAVORITE Thai place I've ever been to. The owner is extremely kind and gracious, she always attends to my table and asks if I need anything. The food is amazing. Better than any of the other local places in Claremont/pomona/La Verne/upland etc. The decoration and ambience is great, really makes you feel relaxed and happy. Can not wait until my next visit. This place deserves your business.
Really amazing food. We ordered the Panang curry and Pad Kra Pow! Both were delicious and the thai iced tea was great as well! Nisa, our waitress, was so kind and amazing. She let us try her homemade coconut ice cream which was mouthwatering. Everything came out super quickly- 10/10 service!
Went with our grown kids and tried numerous dishes. The yellow curry is my favorite. Every dish is cooked fresh and brought out a few min apart. Service was great. We have been there several times and it is always good.
I love eating here! The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. Its the best Thai food around!
such good food and great service. will definitely be back.
Cute place and authentic Thai food! Very friendly service too.
I went there on a quiet Saturday. The place is small and intimate with wonderful seating in this cubicle like areas with wonderful Thai art all over the walls. There are sculptures of so Thai origin, slow music and the waiters are wearing traditional Thai clothes. The food is wonderful to say the least. I have tried many Thai places and food has never tasted that good. Great selection of food though it might take sometime if there are too many people but the food is cooked from scratch. The prices are reasonable and with excellent wait staff. Would I eat here again? In a heart beat.
Holy smokes, talk about DELICIOUS! The place is decked out with traditional Thai decor and ran by two sweet and adorable Thai sisters. The food is amazing. I recommend the penang curry over steamed rice, but at the same time everything they have had me try has been an explosion of flavor (yes if you ask, they are happy to recommend). Very hospitable and polite service.
First visit on our way to Rialto. Staff was friendly. My toddler liked the beef skewers, and rice. I enjoyed the curry, chow mein and small tom kah. Everything was yummy and not greasy. We will definitely return when in the area.
Love this place! By far the best Thai food I have ever had. The lady who runs it is so nice and takes very good care of every guest. The decor makes me feel like I stepped into an authentic Thai building. They serve beer and wine as well!
Absolutely Amazing food! You won't be disappointed. The service is excellent. They were ranked top 100 restaurant in the U.S a few years back and you will definitely taste why.
I am in love, the food is always good. Every time I go I try something new and it’s always incredible. Lisa is always so lovely. I recommend to anyone that loves Thai food, or just good food in general. Also all of the soups are to die for. I order takeout way to often.
This place has delicious food. I love the red curry and garlic pepper tofu. I eat here several times per month and have never been disappointed. The lady who runs it is incredibly nice and remembered my order the second time I ate there.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant of all time. The food is delicious!!! Beef satay with their amazing peanut sauce is my favorite! I love their thai beef soup served on Fridays for their lunch specials. ..and their fried banana dessert with ice cream. ..yum!!! The decor is so pretty and calm. The servers are so sweet and wonderful..especially Lisa 💛
This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat around the Claremont Colleges. The food tastes amazing (try the black pepper and garlic shrimp!) and comes at a great price. The serving size is average but fills you up quick. If you have room, try the fried bananas and coconut ice cream!
I frequent this place for their lunch specials, but also have dinner on occasion with my family. The food is phenomenal and the service is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have tasty Thai cuisine.
I always come here when I'm craving Thai food! My family has fallen in love with the fried rice and the yellow curry (karee kai)! We usually do take out, but the service is great when we dine in. The staff is friendly and the decor is delightful! I always feel happy and peaceful when I walk in. I high recommend this place!
This was such a great experience! Each bite was delicious. We had pineapple rice, beef satay, silver noodles, and fried bananas for dessert. Not a single moment that I'd say was anything less than fantastic.
Not only is the food amazing, but the most hospitality service ever! We love this place and has such a variety you can always try some new everytime. We are never disappointed!!! I can't speak highly enough! Thank you Thai Orchid we love your restaurant Jimenez Family
Very good food here. We have been looking for good restaurants in the area and it's nice to find a place like this. It's very quite and comfortable inside. The decorations are lovely. The bathrooms are clean. The service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious
Oh em gee. I don’t know how to start. The atmosphere is so cool with this traditional vibe. The tofu is perfectly fried to perfection, nicely browned so it has that nutty flavor and very crispy. Honestly it’s better than the meat (if you don’t believe me, try it). I don’t usually like Tom Kha Gai, but my wife always wants it, it was so creamy and delicious and the acidity was well balanced. I was thinking maybe it was a fluke, but they really kept nailing the other dishes, basil eggplant, pad Thai (ofc) and green curry all good. I have also never liked fried banana dessert but that glorious fry cook did work on them like the tofu and it had a wonderful crispy outer layer. 10/10 would recommend and go again
Friend and I went for lunch around 2pm on a Friday, after a long and strenuous hike in Angeles National Forest. We were seated immediately at a booth and there was only one other group of people around. Service was quick and friendly. They have clean restrooms in the back. We had the beef satay to share and it was delicious - definitely a bit oily. Friend had the yellow Karee and I had the spicy red Panang. Both were very good, and had enough meat in them. I was quite hungry, so asked for an extra half bowl of rice, and it arrived in a minute. Total including tips and taxes came to around 70$ for 2 people.
the food was amazing! the host was extremely kind and accommodated two of our dishes to be non-spicy. the decor was super beautiful as well. would def come back!!! (sorry for blurry pics)
definitely the best thai restaurant in pomona! the only reason i give 4 stars to the food is because the thai tea tastes watered down to me, maybe I'm just used to it being very strong. the food was great!! the fried catfish with spicy sauce was genuinely 10/10. the pad see ew was good! i thought it was really good but my mom is a pad see ew connoisseur and she thought it was good but not the best. the fried spring rolls were great!!! I'm definitely coming again!! the staff are so nice and lively, we loved coming
Such an incredible experience here! AMBIANCE: When I entered the restaurant, I immediately felt like I was entering a peaceful Thai paradise, with nice decorations and calming music. I was greeted by the hostess (I believe she may be the owner), a very friendly lady, who seated us right away. FOOD: The options looked delicious and I was happy that they had veggie options. I decided to try the Pad Thai and my boyfriend tried the Karee curry. Both of these dishes exceeded our expectations, and every bite was so delicious. The fried tofu had a perfect crisp, and melted in my mouth upon eating it. The Pad Thai was just the right amount of sweetness, and very soft. The Karee curry was a perfect balance of creamy and not too thick either. The dining experience was very delightful and I will definitely be coming back. OVERALL I can't wait to bring my family and friends to this restaurant, such a pleasant experience with a very friendly hostess/waitress who tended to her customers' needs immediately. The food is a solid 10/10, I am thrilled to come back and try some more dishes!
Great food, service, and atmosphere. This place with take you back! Not many restaurants like this around the area any more. Reminds me of restaurants I'd eat with my family as a kid. Being this place has been around since the late 1970s, makes this place a gem. This review is long over due. Been ordering take out from here for 2 years. However, finally got around to dining in, and was extremely satisfied. My favorites here is the peanut fried rice and the Panang Curry. Tastes great via take out, and even better dining in. Atmosphere is nice and clean with cultural art. Food is served in nicely crafted dishware. I enjoy all of it for the nostalgia. This place is a gem for me! Highly recommend
We've been looking for a good, local Thai food restaurant. We didn't expect to find one of the best, if not The best Thai food restaurant around. Food, service, atmosphere; all amazing. My wife and I had Pad-See-Lew with beef, Tom Yum Kai soup, veggie spring rolls and the Beef Satay. Definitely coming back. I feel like the one star reviews here are only trying to promote themselves or another restaurant-Get outa here. This place is great. Our server was a sweetheart, we all shared laughs and smiles. I would like to apologize to her again for ordering a Sapporo as my first drink. Singha is where it's at! Thank you again.
I've been coming here for years so much so that I am greeted by my name. They have excellent food and the service is outstanding. The Thai tea Oh my I missed it during the pandemic...lol
Lovely family vibes - Nisa greeted my friend by name when we walked in and asked for mine. Generous portion sizes but the food was so good I cleaned my plate! There was a bit of a wait between ordering and receiving our food (we came for lunch on a weekday) so we were recommended to call in our order in advance for next time.

One of our family’s all time favorite places! Owners are so wonderful and sweet, and the food has been consistently amazing all the years we’ve come here. My fav pineapple fried rice ❤️ amazing coconut ice cream with fried banana.
A local landmark, a restaurant of great feeling and quality! Still wholly satisfying after all these years. Please bring back Volcano Chicken.
I absolutely love this restaurant. The owners are friendly, prompt, and she will even remember your exact order and how you like it made. When I am in the mood for Thai food this is my go to place. Been here for both lunch and dinner. I've been on weeknights and weekends. It never disappoints. Highly recommend.
The food is great the decor is awesome and the staff are attentive and quite good. I literally licked my plate here. The Lard Nar? It will revitalize your soul.
Amazing place, food, and atmosphere! I've ordered several things at various visits. It's ALL good!
I've been coming here for 35 - 40 years. It's been the same excellent, friendly staff the entire time. The food is fantastic. It's a great place for a quiet dinner. This is a hidden gem in north Pomona for sure.
If you guys want the best Thai food experience this is one of the coolest spots I have ever been to. They place not also gives you an experience but also with great hospitality on top of that! The woman that attended us was very very nice and always came by to see if we needed anything. But the food was amazing as well as you get a variety on your plate. You also get a wonton soups that is quite delish as well that soothes your soul. At the end, the dessert was really delicious as well. Eating some sticky rice, mango, and some coconut ice cream. Never had it before and it was so amazing! Will definitely be recommending this to anyone when it comes to Thai food! :)

Fresh, delicious (ordered beef & chicken satay, curry and plain fried rice). Pricey, quality over quantity. You can pass on Thai iced tea and coffee. I've had better tasting elsewhere. Service excellent, but paced to dishes being prepared.
We enjoyed the appetizer and the server was really nice! The pad see ew was okay, lacked flavor and the thai tea was watered down.

The food here *is* really good, and the service is very nice, but it can take a long time to actually get your food. We've eaten here twice on Friday nights where the restaurant was at about half to two-thirds capacity, and after ordering, it has taken ~20 minutes or more to receive our dishes. Again, super delicious and the ambiance is quite nice, but you need to be prepared to wait.
Ordered the yellow curry with tofu. There were no carrots like I'm used to in yellow curry. There was no option to specify spice but we were offered a set of chilies for the table. Overall the food was tasty and the service was good. The decorations and ambiance in the restaurant are great. The set menu options came with a lot of food.
We had pineapple fried rice which was tasty. Also had spicy seafood soup which was basically water with a little bit of seafood, flavor bland. I've had better. We had coconut ice cream with deep fried banana, was kinda boring, but not overly sweet. The lady who waited on us was very kind, though she took a long time to attend to us at the beginning. Probably won't return though. The soup is why I went there and it was a big disappointment. Bathroom super clean. Interesting decor. FYI: if its a concern, they have a lot of artwork of naked women primarily showing their breasts. 🤫🤔🙃
I went here for lunch. Ordered Gulf of Siam soup and was disappointed that the menu failed to mention that it has imitation crab meat. Not worth $16.99 and could be a good soup with real ingredients.

Pad Thai is dry needs more sauce and food is expensive. Not to friendly :(
The food was mediocre, at best. Pad Thai was just a plate of noodles, no peanuts, tofu, cilantro, and no fresh bean sprouts…the green beans were passable, the whole fried Pompano would’ve been okay, if I hadn’t been charged $59.99😳 I order this same meal at all Thai restaurants and have NEVER paid over $45 for the entire meal. I made a fuss and the waitress assured me that this is the going rate for Pompano (which by the way costs about $8 at Asian grocery stores)😏 Also, just did some research on the Thai restaurants within a 20 mile radius, and there’s no Whole Fried Fish: Pompano, Trout, Catfish or Tilapia is priced over $30. First and last visit to this place. I do not recommend this place at all. I’m a chef and caterer: (Fine Food Catering by April (Instagram) more than quailed to give this review.👎🏽
