Do not wait until you get all the way into Clifton to eat. In fact, if you are even remotely hungry, this is a must-stop eatery. It’s a fairly typical vintage-stuff motif, but the atypical thing about it is that all that old stuff attached to the walls…gets dusted. How many places like this have old grease-infused dust caked in all the otherwise adorable decor? Well, not this one. And if they keep all this stuff tidy, I’m guessing the kitchen is clean too. Anyway, as for the fantastic food. I had the brisket and sausage, caked on a baked potato, and it was perfect.

Stopped and tried this place as I was traveling through. Nice little Bar B Que joint with a great atmosphere. Pros- One of the best tasting potato salads I have had. Sweet Bar B Que sauce was awesome, if your a fan of sweet sauces. Cons- I ordered brisket and turkey. Meat was a little cold when served. Brisket was good but I'm a fan of bark and it had none on it. Flavor was ok but reason I was using sauce. I would stop again there to eat but recommendations are to be sure the meat is warm and serve brisket with the bark on it or have that option.

Wow!!! This was the best BBQ we’ve ever had!!! Highly recommend the family pack with 1 lb of very generous portion of chopped brisket! Cole slaw was perfect not too mayonnaisey or vinegary. Sausage had just the right amount of spice. Also plenty of space to park with a trailer or rv which was super helpful for us while traveling! Crystal even gave us a few samples to try before hand since we couldn’t make up our mind!

New to the area, from NC. I love Texas BBQ, much different than Old NC BBQ. Delicious, to be sure! Pulled pork sandwich wonderful and moist. Brisket is smoky and full of flavor. Sweet tea, yes, just like home. Corn nuggets delightful, with honey bbq dip.

We were visiting the area and stopped by for supper. The food was delicious and Shawn was very helpful and made sure to double check our large order was correct after bringing ever out to us. Some of our favorites were the corn nuggets, brisket, fried okra and sausage. This was our children’s first time having Texas BBQ and it didn’t disappoint!!

Very good food. Very polite service. The regular sized sandwich is almost as big as a plate; better get the small sandwich if you're not a big eater. The brown beans are very good; they are not bland and they were hot. The pulled pork is very good. The sweet tea is good sweet tea. In fact, that sweet tea may be the best in town. They are open for in-house dining. They do ask you to wear a mask and social distancing is practiced in the dining area. They also have a curbside service. Single hole bathroom that is clean. This place has it altogether. Y'all come.

Great barbecue in the small town of Clifton. They offer all the standard choices of well-smoked, flavorful meats (brisket, ribs, pulled pork, ham, etc.) in single-meat or 2/3 meat combinations, with a nice selection of sauces. The side dishes were real standouts, with excellent old-school potato salad and pinto beans, with the fried okra recommend. Try it out next time you're in the area!

The ribs were super dry and I didn’t like the taste of their bbq sauce. The coleslaw was bad. I told my in-law to send it back, but she didn’t want to have to deal with all the trouble of going back and it was late.

Very clean establishment; $$ customer service was great until we watched employees just hanging out, chatting with each other while we waited for our food. If they were busy I wouldn't have minded waiting. However NO one was in the restaurant but one table and they had their food. Food was okay, nothing special. If you like cream cheese, try the cheese cake. If you like a lump of brisket v/s sliced, have some brisket. We will not be back and we do not recommend. It was a waste of our time and money. Ribs are good and sticky.

Well, we heard this was the best spot in the area for BBQ so we tried it. The portions of the meat are huge. The value for the sandwiches is excellent. Now, of you are looking for seasoned meat don't expect that here. The pulled pork has no flavor so you must use the sauce. It was fattier than a lot I've tried. The okra also has zero flavor. It's tasteless breading. Mine was very over cooked. The food is not bad. It's not Pecan Lodge and Guy F won't be stopping by, but it's ok. The sauce is more vinegar than not. The pie was yummy, but I literally recieved the smallest slice ever. For the cost I did expect a normal slice. I can't say I would ever eat here again.

Most dry brisket I have ever had in my entire life. Wow, it should be a crime to charge money in Texas for that. Cold and dry sausage. Basic potatoes and flavorless beans. Service was slow, like, we almost walked out it was so slow. Staff was polite. Atmosphere was dirty and sticky. Restrooms were dirty. Huge disappointment, I’m embarrassed I suggested this restaurant to my family. One positive: the baked potato was cooked well…. ALTHOUGH when you order the “All the way” baked potato you sort of expect something other than butter, sour cream and a pinch of cheese, but it was edible.
