Hometown feel! Fun place to relax and hang out with friends!
Great crowd live karaoke Thursdays
Piano night. Great crowd cold beer
The food, and staff were great!
Great karaoke!
Good good, great lunch specials
Love the Tap!!
It's cool
Coreena is such a wonderful bartender. The staff as a whole is very friendly and inviting, and the food is also fantastic.
So much fun fairly priced drinks and their piano night is phenomenal!
Love this place! In my opinion the best burger in town. Great bar and great food!
LOVE the Tap. Go on a Wednesday for piano night and you won't regret it!
They were very gracious for my brother's ring dunk, and were a great venue.
My go to place on Monday nights for karaoke and Wednesday nights for piano bar. Gotta grab a chugger on special !
Check out the daily drink specials, other than paying cover this place is awesome
Great bar and awesome place to see some Texas country music
Great food plus I enjoyed the live broadcast of The Beliucci Hour @zone1150
We went for live music and weren't disappointed with "Prairie Switch".
Knowledgeable bartenders, friendly staff, decent prices for drinks
Lit place for a Wednesday night, great wells at good prices
Parking sucks but bar staff is awesome.
Great music, very busy on Wednesdays!
Great place. Very popular among locals! ;)
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food, beer and mixed drinks reasonably priced and damn good live bands. I highly recommend this place!
Great bar, staff was attentive. The bartenders were fast and friendly-exactly what you want from your local hangout.
Awesome spot and delicious food. A great place to watch games and fights. Super nice staff. Also a good place for weekday specials
One of our local favorites. Great hometown bar. Good love music when they have it. And it's a straight shot home.
I didn't order food, so I can't comment on that
Very nice piano bar every wednesday. The beers and food are good with a perfect quality price ratio
Came here for the first time in 4 years and the service is incredible, the food is delicious and the beer is cold! Incredible atmosphere for the college World Series!
Relaxed and casual long-standing bar. Sure, there are newer, trendier places. But for easy time to hang out, have some drinks, and feel like I’m in a hometown bar, this is still my fave.
Lunch: I am here right now writing this. It is 1:36 on a Wednesday. My co worker and I are having lunch and it is so good! The young lady behind the bar is so cute and nice and was such a grear help. I'll be back!
One of the best long standing bars in CS! Awesome indoor space and patio. Music, drinks and food. Great ownership and legendary.
I LOVE CAL!! She was the best and so sweet
All of these negative comments about the guys at the doors… They’re not suppose to be nice it’s their job to be serious. I love the tap I can’t wait for karaoke night tonight!
Came here to pick up lunch order for work. Great service, really good burger. Make this a regular lunch spot, you won't be sorry.
American sports bar with pool tables, beer pong etc. Good beer, good cocktails, good music. So good w came back in the evening.
Great place to grab a bite to eat and some drinks. They offer live music at times and drink specials. Staff is great and very friendly. A go to spot if you don't want to mess with the fuss of downtown.
Went for Monday karaoke and had a blast! Fun crowd, good singers (for the most part), and the staff was friendly and attentive! Highly recommended!
Fun karaoke nights, even funner shots, but the big ol' cup of beer will sneak up on you. Good thing there is pool and darts to kill some time as you wait for your über to pick you up. Bartenders are always friendly!
I like to karaoke more than most people, so Monday nights are my favorite time to be here. James, the KJ, runs it very well and it's always a ton of fun. Marissa was my bartender for the most part this past time and she was great! I am not a picky person and that will sometimes translate into indecisiveness in drink choice, but she made excellent suggestions.
We ordered excellent IPA’s, split the rib basket with onion strings and still had leftovers. was terrific, and arrived within minutes piping hot. Rita, our server was personable and very friendly. Will definitely be back if we return to Guthrie.
Went to Piano bar for the first time in years with my wife and friends. We had an issue with the pickle chips we ordered and I asked the guy working behind the bar to take a look at them. He was very polite, resolved the issue for us, and took the time to check up on us shortly after. Great time and great staff!
The Tap is my Monday go-to for Bingo and Karaoke Night!! While the food isn’t that great (I’ve tried the Pulled Pork Fries and the Nachos only) the people, the waitresses, the bouncers, and the entire vibe itself is the bomb and I would definitely recommend if you need a night to unwind, go on a first date, or just sing your heart out! Hope to see y’all next Monday ☺️
I have never personally been inside but I have met the friendly staff members as well as the owner and if you like karaoke it's a must. Monday nights are karaoke night Tuesday night's piano bar and Wednesday nights are generally their most busiest day of the week they have an outside patio if you don't like sitting inside to are you can socialize with all your friends or make new friends great little hangout I just make all of the connections give them the opportunity to warm up their karaoke vocals in my karaoke Uber
Great local hangout with plenty of beer on tap. Staff was friendly and talkative. Not too busy on a weekday but I’m sure gets pretty busy on the weekend. Lots of inexpensive food options to go with fairly priced drinks.
This place is the best! The Tap is a welcoming space and unique environment. The patio is very relaxing (my favorite). There are always people hanging out and making new friends. The staff is great. Piano Bar and Karaoke night are always fun. The concerts are always a good time. If you are visiting College Station and looking for a place to hang out, this should be your FIRST stop!

Fun environment and good drink deals
Service was ok. Drinks are good.
Nice little place to hang out and have a beverage.
The food is over the top and they offer a variety of music with live from locals and returning guests.
Can get quite busy at times and can be hard to get a drink. But the atmosphere is great.
Decent food, decent prices, cool atmosphere. Great intimate concert venue.
Beer selection is very limited, but good food and reasonable prices make up for it.
If you can get away with drinking on a Monday, karaoke at The Tap is a blast.
Very fun place to go out but they often let too many people in and it gets really hot and you can't move around so get there early
Nice bar. Young college crowd and staff. Concert on some weekends. However, Mondays karaoke and Wednesday piano bar is the better time to go here. Two outside patios.
Piano bar and Karaoke night are always a good time. They host various shows up there from time to time. Bartenders always do a great job, even on packed nights.
The Tap is a great place to watch the game. There are tons of TVs and lots of fans to support the atmosphere. Add in nice weather on the patio and you're golden.
Didn't dine here, but if you're a college student randomly visiting College Station, it's a hit. Buut they might want to crack down on the guys not allowing folks to play pool unless there's a monetary wager.
Website menu is not accurate. Had an engagement party with 25 people. They were easy to work with but service for a big party could be better.
Cool place to have a few drinks and maybe act a fool at.. (👈 jk, lol) Fr tho, nice spot to chill w/friends or family. I enjoyed the whole vibe there. The bartender was very nice and can definitely make a good drink.

Drinks are kind of expensive, parking sucks unless you get there early
A lot of drunk kids. But nice atmosphere
I hate how they charge cover even if you're 21+
It is a place with beer and college kids. And Golden Tee.
Not impressed. Very expensive and mediocre service.
its okay. The staff are nice but the place is just another bar with signs of use.
Fast food style, cheap drinks, suitable for college students.
Pretty good crowd and great music. I’ve been overcharged twice and when I bring it to their attention it’s gotten fixed immediately buts it feels shady as it has happened twice.
The usual type of bar. Nothing too fancy nothing too bad. Just your average Texas bar with live music. No fuss sports bar!
Cover charge to get in - even on a slow weekday. Food was decent if you've had a couple drinks first.
Nice bar to enjoy food and drinks with music. They offer karaoke every Monday night. A definite favorite by locals. The food was good and priced decent being its a recession. Suggest the fried pickles and the Mac and cheese sandwich. The drinks were not good. Not enough alcohol for the price. Luckily I got a drink during happy hour but still wish I could have gotten my money back. It's a 3 dollar cover for guys on Mondays. I believe there is a cover for guys every night but not sure. Enjoy.

We wanted to go sing Karaoke on a Monday night. But it cost $3.00 at the door, which isn't a problem. The problem was, it started at 10:30pm on a Monday night. I guess that's one way to keep the older crowd out since the older crowd have jobs and work for a living and have to get up early the next morning. This is a college town, so I assume by their late night karaoke 🎤 on a week night, they just want the college kids there. We didn't even bother to eat since we didn't feel welcome there.

Too many minors and the line was too long for generic and underwhelming drinks.
Attended Trivia Tournament there today. Our table ordered food and we tipped well.To say the service was subpar would be a gross understatement. The staff was consistently unhelpful and downright hostile. I asked the gentleman who brought me my burger to please check on my Diet Coke I had yet to receive. He curtly replied, “I’m not a server”, turned on his heels and stormed off. I have multiple other examples of their rude behavior but I won’t list them here; you get the idea. Regarding the food, the fries were good, but the nachos were not prepared as ordered and the cheese was not even melted. The place is clearly poorly managed and the staff is not trained on how to treat the public.

Sucks mangers an ass both of them They r rude don't speak
The bouncers are thieves, rude and lie.
Really rude staff. I’ve been there numerous times and each time it seems the staff really doesn’t treat me like I’m the customer. Won’t be back. They won’t miss me, they are making plenty on a college town! ✌🏼
Horrible place. Would not recommend unless you want some college dropout bartender to treat you like garbage.
The people who run this place are hilariously terrible at their jobs. How this place doesn't have a 1 star rating is beyond me. Almost everyone I know complains about how rude and disrespectful the staff is.
Aside from Dos Equis and a few Shiner products, all their beer is Anheiser-Busch
It seems one of the qualifications for working here is to be insufferable. Overpriced, unclean, and the owner is a nightmare.
Terrible service. Monday night, called ahead to make sure the could show the game I wanted to watch. I was told yes. Upon arrival I was meet by two unfriendly bar winches who refused to smile. When asked if they could put my game on one of their 20 tvs (myself and 1 friend are the only patrons). Neither girl knew how to work the tvs and said we would have to wait an hour til a manager arrived. I ordered food. It sat on the counter for 5min before I got up and pointed it out. Food was mediocre. Beer was flat and old. Never got to see the game. When we attempted to close our tabs. My friend was given my card and turns out I paid for both tabs. We decided to leave it as is just to get out asap.
$13 for two budget beers. More importantly, the only other couple of guys in the bar got drunk and tried to instigate a fight without us even saying a word. Trashy. Overpriced. Zero reason to return.
Went there on a Tuesday night hoping to see some live music that was slated to start at 8:45. After paying a $12 cover (over 21) decided to leave since it was 9:30 and there was no sign of music. Closed out my tab and was charged $7.50 for a Karbach. Overpriced bar with ridiculous covers that lies about when their music starts.
Just visited for the first time...walked in and spoke to the two blonde ladies behind the bar and asked if they were playing the NFL game for Thursday night football, the one young lady in a red tank top said, "well we have TVs in here", yes yes there were TVs but not all were on and the only one playing was The Texas game. Then she proceeded to tell me well we are closing at 9:00 for a private party. I stated well it's only 7:30. She just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders. Wow is this the type of customer services they have at this place? I work in customer service an I would never allow my employees to speak this way to a potential guest. We turned and left to go to another location. We are new here and checking out different places but I assure you, we won't be back and I will make sure the message gets out about the horrible customer service at your establishment.
My friend’s card and ID got lost by the bartender, who later found it (after close) and then refused to give him them back unless he venmoed her for them. Absolutely ridiculous and seriously lucky the cops weren’t called. Don’t trust Brooke with your stuff, she’ll steal it.
An Aggie visiting College Station after 36 years. Dont stop to eat here....period. $8.00 for one taco...at least 2 for that price. I usually wish everyone the best...I just can with this place.
I recently visited the tap with a group of friends and the door guys were extremely rude and disrespectful. They pointed in my face and proceeded to insult my sister. There are very sweet bartenders that work at this establishment, but maybe there needs to be re-evaluation for the bouncers at the door. Very unfriendly, makes my friends and I never want to return.
So I’m currently sitting in the tap writing this review, the manager (big Mexican dude with a very daunting attitude apparently named Nathen) came to me after I told the waitress their pickle chips they served me were over done and so salty I couldn’t even eat them, and got in my face and demanded I tell him what was wrong with the appetizer. First of all, I have been a loyal customer of The Tap for my entire college career and spend a good amount of money in the establishment as well as know how their food usually is served. This was the WORSE food I have ever had in the Tap and I will probably never be back being that the manager feels he can bully customers into changing their complaint. Very bad business.
The beer selection is only AB products and they don't offer any craft beer. The food is all fried or burgers nothing that stands out. The staff was very unfriendly and made me feel like I was unwelcome. It was very obvious that they didn't want to be at work. I asked to speak to the manger and he said no that he would not come out of the office. Maybe it's better on nights when they have a band bug going for lunch was a big mistake.
So I've been to this bar a few times and it seemed like a great place to go. Then one night my buddy and I are having a good time drinking beers and hanging out when one of the staff decides to push us out cause they were closing. I tried to tell the guy that's cool, and we would go. Then I realized I didn't have my keys and needed to go back in and find them. The staff insisted that I leave and kept pushing me out. Worst place I have ever been EVER!! Don't go here, go somewhere else, anywhere else. You will get bullied here and im surprised they stay open with this kind of service.
This was my first time here. I was here with friends and I had a drink which was only $5.75. I was told that they accept card only for a minimum of $10. I did not have cash and they charged me $4 extra for nothing but their stupid rule. Who cares about your rule? What the hell is the relevance? Why would I drink more if I do not want to? What does it cost you if you accept cards for any value? Why would I even care if it costs you some? I WANT MY CONVENIENCE, NO NONSENSE FEE! This is the most inconvenient circumstance I ever had in a bar. Why do other businesses accept card for a $1.99? What is special about this business? I will never consider coming back here even if this is the only bar on Earth. I do not recommend this bar as a friendly and convenient place to anyone. This is ridiculous! Just unbelievable!
Nathan Hernandez is the reason for my 1 star review. I went for a casual work celebration, just for this arrogant power hungry door guy to interrupt a great and rewarding night. The bartenders were great but management should definitely reevaluate their door staff.
Tried to go there, used the ATM owned by them (called the ATM company) and tried to pull out $100, pulled $100 from the bank but no money came out, no receipt and tried to talk to management and was met with rude looks and basically told sucks to suck. While this was happening a guy came in to see if his money had come out (happened to him an hour earlier) so we aren’t the first. Could’ve been an easy fix but they obviously don’t care to fix these mistakes that happen consistently.
Zero consistency. Management cannot make up their minds whether to charge or not to charge. After being let in after entry I was confronted and asked to pay an entry fee even though the front desk help let me in for free. There was no consistency. Absolutely a shame. Will not come back.
I had high hopes , my daughter will be attending school here in the fall and I’m sure she will be coming here a lot , but not me . We walked in 8:30 .. sat at a table for 10 mins .. not even 20 people in the place . Not sure if you are supposed to go to the bar and order food , but we were never approached or greeted . If that was the case it would have been common courtesy to greet and let someone know your protocol . As a bartender myself we greet everyone coming through the door especially if it’s that slow .. thanks .. we left and came to Texas Roadhouse immediately greeted and waited on with a smile .
