Dam good eating... everything fresh and or prepared to order!

The place has character, the staff is excellent and the food is fresh and awesome. This is my new favorite BBQ joint. The Friday catfish is hot and fresh, the BBQ is really yummy. If the was a 6 star rating, Red Barn BBQ would get it. I have lived in Colleyville for nine years, can't believe I have left all that great food on the table.

We recently had Red Barn cater an event we were hosting. The food was amazing especially the banana pudding!! I highly recommend! Thank you Cindy!!

Really liked this place. It looks like a small place with limited parking but don't let that fool you - there was more seating than expected. Saw a guy in the back tending the smoking smokers and knew I'd be in good shape. They have all the bbq that you'd expect. Between my wife and I, we’ve tried the hot links, jalapeño sausage, brisket, ribs and turkey. All very good. Their brisket is definitely my favorite and one of the best. While the meats are fine on their own, their sauces are a good add. The sides were excellent and they throw in a buttered and grilled to order Texas toast to get the plate clean. Also, don't sleep on the banana pudding. All banana pudding is good, but their’s is better - maybe the best ever.

The Ribs are Awesome. I get 2lbs routinely. The brisket is good but sometimes has to much smoked flavor which overrides the taste of the meat 🥩

Candy brought a plate of everything to the barbershop for us to sample (amazing customer service; that's absolutely going above and beyond). I eat bbq at least once a week and I have to say the food blew me away. Best bbq I've had in a long time. I have ordered with them since then and will definitely continue to order as much as possible in the future!

It's hard to get brisket that's juicy in the middle and you're not chewing on leather but still have smoke flavor. Red Barn has succeeded with the brisket and pulled pork. The potato salad and broccoli salad were yummy as well! We all agreed that this was better than what we had in Mississippi last year.

I've lived in the H.E.B. area for over 40 years, and driven by this place a thousand times and never bought anything from them because I did my own. But one day,i told my wife I want to go in there and try there barbecue 😋 there Brisket was fantastic, the sausage, ribs,hot links. Banana pudding 🍮 was awesome. I recommend this place very much, so 😉 enjoy.

Last night my husband, daughter and I ate at The Red Barn. This was the first time I’d actually been there. The atmosphere was so charming and inviting but the food was Outstanding! It was their Friday night eat all you can catfish. I’m celiac so I have to be very careful about eating out but they have a designated fryer for the catfish and fries. I had red beans that tasted like my mom’s and corn on the cob. You could have rolled me out of there. We will be frequenting it a lot going forward. Don’t miss out on this great restaurant.

All you can eat Catfish fillet's, hush puppy's and 2 sides for $13.99 all day on Friday's. All you can eat BBQ on Monday's. We, my grown son, (30), & I, ate there today and everything was top shelf. Large, long and thick fillets of Catfish we're anything but skimpy! I had squash and green beans with my dinner and had 3 rounds of refills on the Catfish. We we're pleasantly full, not gut busting, but now extremely ready for a nap! Highly recommended by this 61 year old male Catfish lover. 😘

Tried this place for the first time on 10/22. It won't be my last time. The food was excellent. Sliced hot and fresh right in front of me. I had a 3 meat combo consisting of the sliced brisket, ribs and turkey. All the meats were tender and moist. I chose the sweeter bbq sauce and it was very good. My sides were tator salad and pinto beans and both were very good. I finished everything off with a little bit of heaven in a bowl otherwise known as banana pudding. They told me that on Mondays they feature an all you can eat deal. I will be back to test them on this

This is by far my favorite bbq. The key is to order “moist” brisket, if that’s your preference. We are there every Friday for catfish. The staff is always friendly and eager to assist. I highly recommend this little gem in Colleyville.

The food was so delicious! Like home made. We had seen the ad for all- you - can - eat fried fish and it's such a cute cozy place we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. The cole slaw and potato salad and peach cobbler reminded me of Grandma's. And loved the fish. Can't wait to go again.

My husband and I visited for the first time with our 6yo and everyone enjoyed the food here. Our kid keeps asking us to come back every day. The baked potato, wings, catfish, Mac n cheese, and fries are all the items we tried from the menu. Definitely recommend!

Best bbq I’ve had in Texas so far after trying all the overhyped places

If you are looking for any smoked meats Red Barn BBQ in Colleyville is the place . We had two turkeys at Thanksgiving my family could not say enough about how moist and flavorful they were. We decided to change things up for Christmas, put a call in and asked if they could smoke us a pork tenderloin. They did not disappoint again my family went on about how moist and flavorful it was . They have the best BBQ and we will continue to make the drive from Arlington !!!

I have been looking for a Good Bar-B-Que place for some time. I grew up in Northern Virginia where the Pulled Pork underwent a 24 hour process before it hit the customer. and I was used to the meat being wet and juicy with the sauce being cooked into it. I asked the guys at The Red Barn if they could chop up some of their Pulled Pork and throw it into a skillet and cook in a little bit of Bar-B-Que sauce into it and they said... "No Problem!!!" "Coming Right Up!" That's how they not only serve me my Pulled Pork but my Brisket Sandwiches every time. I am a RED BARN Bar-B-Que Patron for LIFE!!!! I had Previously asked one of Red Barn's Local Competitors that same Question and He Flat Out told me in His Most Rudest Voice... " I WILL NOT DO THAT!!! Needless-to-say, I no longer Patron that Establishment. Noel... Candy.... Jose and Noe' from "The RED BARN" have more "SOUL" in any one of their Pinkies than that Other Guy from that Neighboring Place has in HIS WHOLE BODY.

If I could give Red Barn BBQ 10 stars I would. Let's start with AYCE Catfish Fridays! Arrive empty because the first portion will fill you to bursting and you need space for the banana pudding. Yes. It's a must. The atmosphere is wonderful. Never too crowded and feels authentic, like part of the fabric of the community. Just take a look inside. The service rounds off the entire experience. I'm an expat who has had to learn "Texas hospitality". Candy welcomes you in like you've stepped into her own kitchen. I am by no means a daily visitor but she always remembers me. That kind of service breeds loyalty. In addition to my sneaky cheat days I take all of my overseas visitors to Red Barn!!

Haven't been here in a while; however, it's still as good as it was in the past. We had smoked chicken and smoked chicken wings, both were delicious. We heard that the Red Barn was struggling to stay open so we made a special trip. We'll be back.

Excellent BBQ with fried catfish for Lent. I forgot to ask if catfish was year round.... Nicest staff with natural smiles, we had fun talking to them. We asked for suggestions and took his advice, it was excellent brisket and ribs on my 2 meat plate. Very clean establishment. We'll be back for more !!!!

Today was my first visit to Red Barn - like others I have driven past it for years. The inside has a relaxed country atmosphere and the staff couldn't be nicer. While its not a huge space, it was well laid out and has a patio for nice days. It's BYOB which I like. This visit I had their smoked wings (1 with traditional hot sauce and the other spicy BBQ). If you are a wing lover, these are really unique in that they are smoked first and then the sauce of your choice is applied after a quick bath in the fryer I think (I didn't watch the prep as I was enjoying the articles on their walls with great history). Either way, the wings were awesome. I took them home this time but I can see myself going back to eat-in with family or friends and a cooler of beer. I know we all have our favorite BBQ place but this gem is worth a detour. I recommend you stop by for some real Texas hospitality and real good BBQ.

The BEST baked potato in Colleyville!! I’m a born and raised Dallas Texan, and I’ve had my fair share of baked potatoes! These guys knock it out of the park! Not only is the food amazing but the staff is friendly and the customer service is outstanding! Definitely recommend stopping in if you get a chance and giving this place a try!

We tried this for the very first time today and were very impressed. We got sliced brisket to go and were not disappointed. It’s probably one of the best brisket in the whole area. It was so tender and delicious, just fell apart. Will definitely be back. So glad to have found the Red Barn!

Grabbed me a Rid To-go plate and oh my. The ribs fell off the bone and are seasoned to perfection. The green beans a amazing and the coleslaw was good considering I'm not much of slaw guy. Over all a 10 on the meal. I definitely will be coming back for more.

Solid bbq. The sweet bbq was surprisingly good, I do not like sweet sauce but there was a cinnamon hint in there that was tasty! Nice atmosphere, polite staff, and reasonable price. Winner.

This is a small restaurant, open since 2005. I grabbed a quick lunch of a brisket sandwich, no sides and water. The bill was a little over $7 bucks so a pretty good deal for barbecue these days. The sandwich bun was buttered and toasted and came with the “sweet” sauce. I loved the chopped brisket on the sandwich. Lots of times when you get a chopped brisket sandwich it is half chopped up fat, but this was full of meat with a nice char on. I really liked the flavor. The serving line was empty just after noon on a Wednesday, which surprised me. There were three other sets of people at tables when I sat down, so not full. The service was quick and friendly. The only downside to Red Barn is the self described rustic feel (from website). The floor had a pronounced hump in it and the flooring was chipped and tattered. It was clean and the food was good and it IS a barbecue joint so it didn’t bother me. I can see how some folks might be put off by it. If you look around back you can see cut up logs to go in the pit, so it is authentic and that’s good for me. Also during the February 2021 freeze and power outage I got served some free beans from Red Barn at the Colleyville library info center while all the news deprived refugees huddled around a working TV for news on the end of the blackout. So they do their part to serve the community. Meat prices have sky rocketed lately, but their prices remain reasonable and the food is good, so I won’t ding them for the rustic charm. I will come back. It’s open 11-8 Monday through Friday. Recommended.

We had an incredible experience at Red Barn Barbecue! The food was absolutely delicious—everything from the brisket to the sides was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Our first time here the brisket was moist and tender absolutely loved the potato salad! I had the green beans not my favorite. But OMG THE BRISKET AND POTATO SALAD!!!! Darrell had the ribs all that was left were bones so he liked them! He liked the potato salad and the pinto beans! We met the one of the owners Candy her husband is the Pitmaster and yes he is! We recommend this place and we will be back!! The atmosphere here is really nice kind of a relaxing homey welcoming environment!

Best barbecue in this area! The staff is always so friendly and courteous. And so convenient. Choose your meat, sides, and dessert. They put it all in a container, and you take it home to enjoy. Also have an “eat in” option.

I ordered a smoked ham for our Easter lunch. I just want to say that it was a huge hit and everyone commented about how much they enjoyed it. The Red Barn staff are awesome and took the time to write down the reheating instructions for me. Additionally, we always enjoy our visits on AYCE fish Fridays.

Visited Red Barn BBQ in Colleyville for the first time and it won't be our last! The family meal deal comes with 3 lbs. of meat (of which brisket can only be 1 lb.), 3 quart sized sides, and bread. We chose the brisket, jalapeño & cheese sausage, and the turkey with creamed corn, green beans, and macaroni salad. Everything tastes good and the meat is not dry, nor overly juicy. It is seasoned just right and the sides were an excellent addition to enhance the meal. Really love the jalapeño & cheese sausage! The customer service is top notch - they even helped me carry my bags to my car. The server told me they have all you can eat catfish so I want to go back to try.

Stopped in for lunch today before my family and I left Texas. We all loved the food, it’s hands down the best bbq we have ever had. The ribs and pulled pork were so tender and very well seasoned. The brisket melted in our mouth and the sides were all very delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they recommended the banana pudding, which is to die for. They offer great M-F lunch deals, variety of choices & good prices too. It's such a cute, quaint place as well as a family owned business. Thank you, Candy! I came here after hearing about it from family. I got the "Red Plate" with ribs & sausage. I had potato salad & fried okra as my sides. The ribs literally fell off the bone, sausage was favorable. The potato salad & fried okra are very tasty here. I also tried the Dublin Dr. Pepper as well & it was great.

Love their Friday night catfish. They have good portions and good prices. The fish is done well. We will have to come back for the bbq. Everyone working there is so friendly. It’s a great little spot. The banana pudding is very good. The hush puppies and fried okra were delicious. The fries don’t travel well, so you may want to try something else if you’re doing take out.

Finally tried this place. Great brisket, a nice combo of moisture and crispness. Really enjoyed their spicy BBQ sauce. The sides were all awesome and enough to fill you up. Had the potato salad,macaroni salad and okra; all were flavorful. I loved the atmosphere inside, very homey and relaxed. My four year old approved as well.

The bbq was delicious. Great service and friendly staff. The peach cobbler tasted a bit old but still a great place for lunch or dinner.

This was my first time going. The brisket is not that good of a quality. It was really dry and chewy. The smoke flavor is too strong. It does take away from the meat flavor. The Jalapeño sausage was good but not spicy. The ribs are amazing. Just a few tweaks and this place would be amazing. I still would recommend this place.

So I am on a very limited income and to eat out is a huge treat. I was excited when things worked out for me to get some bbq first time in DFW area. I recently moved here from Houston. I ended up here, near the house. As I approached, I noticed the "Guns Are Welcome" sign on the front door. Being a 2nd amendment advocate myself, I was really prepared to love some North Texas BBQ from Red Barn. Being particularly hungry, I went with a baked potato with chopped beef and an unsweet tea. I saw him get a huge scoop of the already chopped meat, then I saw the potato he was putting it on. I have gotten bigger in a 10# bag at Krogers. So I don't know about around here, but in Houston when you order a potato with meat, you get a meal for 2 or maybe 3. The meat qty was excellent, it's just that usually you can see the potato a bit after the meat is put on. I am used to a good independent bbq house having super large potatoes. Even enough that I am sure they must get first pick before anyone else. I chose spicy bbq sauce instead of sweet that was also offered and the girl behind the counter put some in a little cup. I chuckled and told her that I was going to need a lot more than that. She filled a second one and walked back to the register. Ok then. So I scoot down to the register and order a tea. Only one size drink available and it was $2. Totaled up to just under $12. Usually when I get this it is almost right at $10 with a drink. So this is one of the places that has condiments on a separate counter to get yourself, but personally, I hate that way. For example, I took my potato to the little counter got 2 little cups of real butter and 2 of cheese. Normally I would get more for sure but I guess that's with a real size potato. My problem is that the butter should go on first, to melt in the potato and then cheese for the heat as well, then the meat and sauce last. So obviously I can't just plop the chilled butter and cheese on top,so I cut and mix up all the food best I can. I don't always eat this meal like that. Myself and others I know eat some of the beefy potato with it not all blended like a plate of dog food. So the food was absolutely delicious, minimal fat in the beef is a big plus. I am extremely picky about the sauce. To me, this makes or breaks bbq. I personally actually dislike the sweet sauces, and the spicier the better. This sauce ranks with some of the best I have ever had!!! I will not fault them for having the separate condiment bar. The tea was nice and strong. I will return but probably get bulk order meat and sauce and take it home.

Pretty decent BBQ! First time visit and good selection of various smoked fowl, beef, pork and side dishes. Tasty! If you're like me and like a brewsky with dinner, you're out of luck here, BUT, you are allowed to bring your own drinks in! 😊👍 Enjoyed, and will go back.

Red Barn Bar-B-Que offers a solid 4-star experience. Visited during lunch, the lack of crowd provided a relaxed atmosphere. While the brisket's flavor was commendable as I prefer it without BBQ sauce some was needed. The jalapeno sausage, however, fell short of expectations, lacking the expected kick. Service was average, efficient but lacking in warmth or attentiveness. Despite these minor drawbacks, Red Barn delivers on taste, especially for brisket lovers. With a few tweaks, particularly in spicing up their sausage and enhancing service, it could easily elevate to a 5-star dining experience.

It was okay!!! I wouldn't say it was awesome but it was just okay.. I will say it was on the cold side. I asked for extra sauce and you have to pay for it.. So I decided to stretch the little cup they gave me for a Three meat plate..

We went there for the 1st time from out of state, the foods are OK but wished the owner treated all customers the same.

People who are running this place are super nice. This said, my brisket bark was so salty I had to spit it out. I cut all around the bark and smoke ring and only ate the inner part of the brisket. It wasn't just a little bit salty it was so salty it was inedible. The broccoli salad was amazing, though, and the creamed corn was good enough I would order it again. You go to a barbecue joint for their meat, not sides, so I guess I won't be visiting again.

Our first time there and was excited about it! We had the all you can eat catfish which was pretty good! I gave it a three star cause of the service. We ordered and the food came out quick but there was no one to ask us if we wanted more fish as I had to go tell them. I believe they forgot us as it took 15 mins to get more fish which wasnt as warm as the first round.

Just picked up 2 takehome plates. Paid.$54.00 together for both. Creamed corn was cold,and not good nly got 2 ribs which were dry and brisket was dry. Corn on the cob was not cooked thouroughly. Chicken was good but pulled pork was ok. Definately not worth $54,00. Was much better 6-8 months ago.

I really wanted to like this place. I had not visited for a long time (over 10 years) and it was back when it was the previous owner. There is not a drive though so I did takeout. The place is really nice inside and it feels "country". There was only one family seated/eating and just me in the line. The very tall gentleman behind the counter didn't say anything so I started the conversation explaining that it had been a long while since I visited. No response except for a young lady jumping in to ask me what I would like. I sensed I was interrupting something so I told them a sliced beef sandwich please. Again, no response. The gentlemen dropped the bread into a machine and took out a hand-sized chunk of obviously dry brisket that he sliced super thin. As he placed the slices onto the bun it was not much more meat than what you would find on a Mcdonald's cheeseburger. I am sorry to tell you it was one of the worst sliced beef sandwiches I have ordered. The BBQ sauce helped, but paying $12 for a measly sandwich and some fries (no drink with the sandwich and 1-side combo) along with nothing more than "do you want your receipt", no thank you come again, etc. It was a poor choice. I feel bad for the owners in this case. Either they haven't trained their people well or there just isn't any passion or precision in ensuring quality and a pleasurable experience for the customer. Too bad. With such high prices and so many options, service and product like this, they won't be around much longer, especially with their location and limited parking. I hope I am wrong.

I finally gave this place a try after driving by it dozens of times, but unfortunately, it will be the only time giving it a try. When the sides are the best part of the meal, it's not a great BBQ joint. The sausage was good, but the brisket and pulled pork were completely bland. You shouldn't need to cover the meat in BBQ sauce to make it taste good. There are plenty of other nearby BBQ restaurants where this isn't the case.

first the good: the sides were very good and the atmosphere inside was very good. The sausage was very good. Now the rest: The sliced brisket was very very dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. No bread offered to go with the meat. The sauce was also not real great. There was a lot of heat, but not much flavor. I felt it was expensive for what I got because they charge extra if you don't pay with cash. I don't mind paying extra when the food is good and the extras are all there, but this didn't do it. All things put together I won't be back.

This BBQ is not good! Bland with no flavor at all. The brisket is bland, ribs bland. A faint smoke ring barely there. Tasted like it's boiled. A little dry seasoning on the ribs but this is not smoked BBQ. The sides are horrible! Green beans no seasoning, the corn casserole no flavor. I have to come home and add flavor to everything to be able to eat it. My husband told me to throw it out but I had just spent almost $50 on this bad food. If you are going to have a restaurant take the time to learn how to cook and season your food! Find flavorful recipes, cook with love. Nobody wants to spend their $$ for horrible food.

Ordered the stuff potato to go. Very over priced for what they offer. In very very small containers you get sour cream, cheese and butter along with BBQ sauce. The sides couldn't be more than 1 oz and they wouldn't give another BBQ sauce.

It was a quaint little place and the servers were nice but the food was a bit off. I got the chopped bar b que sandwich. I'm picky about my meat and paying pretty good prices for bar b que these days I don't appreciate paying for a lot of fat. Which there was. The sides were very small. They put them in their own side bowls and they weren't full. Me and my friend both had queezy tummies the next day. Not saying it was the food but we did keep belching it up after eating it. But it was cute, and quaint, and had good employees.

Unfortunately I can't rate this place because the power was off, when my girlfriend and I went to visit it. Not thier fault I'm guessing. So hopefully we can get another chance to check them out. And hopefully we will be able to enjoy a nice meal there.

WOW not every good. I know that I will not return. The brisket was very bad poor quality.

not the worst BBQ I've ever had but close to it. Brisket was so dry, thought it was beef jerky. the extra creamy corn was the worst, not even close to being edible. the beans were soso. the ribs where actually good. not good enough to ever come back to this place. very very disappointed. the service was decent. the restaurant inside is nice a cozy. would be a great place if the food was edible. didn't even give it to the dogs. took it out to the trash.

The foods pretty good.. except the ribs. You have to beg for bbq sauce. They kind of rush you through the line & your not sure what your ordering... then they add on up charges & your not sure what your getting charged for. The receipt isn't itemized so, you have no idea. No drinks.. no deserts...I got charged $60 for what I thought would be $30. Never again.

It honestly saddens me to leave this review because I genuinely enjoy the food here, but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I placed a pickup order through DoorDash and was notified it was "complete" right before I even arrived. Confused, I walked in and told the woman at the front I was there for my pickup, only to be told a dasher had just come to pick it up. I immediately responded, "How? I set it for pickup." She then told me that "this happens sometimes" and that the dasher used my name and phone number. Odd. I reached out to DoorDash, who quickly refunded me, but then I overheard her on the phone with another confused customer who had clearly received MY ORDER. So now I know it wasn’t DoorDash’s fault. Someone working the front accidentally gave my order to a delivery driver. Not once did she offer to remake the order. I had to reorder and pay again just to get the food I initially ordered. The whole ordeal ate up nearly 40 minutes of my one-hour lunch break, and I was left feeling gaslit and frustrated. It was a careless mistake that could have easily been made right with an apology and a remake, but neither happened. Extremely disappointed.

Highly unsatisfied with the quality of the food. Spending close to $30 for a plate of nothing isn’t good. Nothing had any flavor to it. Brisket didn’t even have the smoker taste. First time trying and the guy said the brisket came sliced and/or chopped. Well it came chopped and no bbq on the side. Silly me for not checking inside the bag before leaving but the way they tied the bad made me assume everything was correct. Sorry will not coming back

Horrible! Over 40 dollars for -cold- soggy fries and the most PLAIN corn on the cob ever! I’ve never felt disrespected like this before in my life. I actually exchanged time of my life to go work for money to then use that money on this absolute, stereo type affirming bland food. Edit - Salt and pepper have gluten in them? Yeah, I didn’t think so. I didn’t emphasize how UNDERCOOKED the fries truly were. You could pick up a fry and wiggle it, the fry would then wiggle identical to a raw hotdog. It was absolutely astounding. Keep in mind I live a whole five minutes away from this place so my drive was not a factor in their under cooked fries. Appreciate the response though! Next time just take ownership of the issue(s)
