Opinions de Honey Baked Ham Colonie
I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience with Honey Baked Ham on Wolf Road, and I simply can’t say enough about how amazing it was! The online catering ordering process was incredibly easy, especially for a large group, and exceeded my expectations. The following day, I had the pleasure of speaking with Ron, who truly went above and beyond. Not only did he confirm that my order was received, he even delivered it himself! His exceptional customer service and friendly demeanor made all the difference. It was such a delight to be greeted by someone so kind and helpful. When our order arrived, each box was labeled with the employee’s name and was packaged with such care. You could genuinely see the effort that went into the preparation, which made the experience even more special. Overall, the customer service at Honey Baked Ham is top-notch, and I highly recommend ordering from them for your catering needs. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you for your attention, and I hope you get the chance to enjoy their wonderful service soon
I’m not a huge ham person, but said sure why not give it a try. (bigger plus it’s right next to Trader Joe’s.) I mean that sammich, that joint was absolutely delish. I went around 11 on a weekday and it wasn’t too busy. Workers were nice and helped me out. Wait wasn’t too bad, place was very clean and I was a fan. Will be back
The woman serving us was patient with our questions. I forgot the name of the sandwich I had (it came with ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles) with pickle slices on the side. It was really tasty. Just a side note: the pickles start off sweet and then get really spicy after a few seconds of chewing.

Mmmmmmm
Great food at decent prices. I ordered my Christmas meal online and picked it up from the Albany store. Nice easy process and the cashier even hooked me up with a coupon at the register to save me some money on my order.
We had two complementary lunch boxes dropped off to our company, they were very good! And we will most definitely be ordering staff lunches from here, Thank you!
Tried a honey baked ham sammie for the first time yesterday! It was SO GOOOD! The guy working the counter was extremely hospitable and friendly! Going back for sure!
Great ham and turkey breast. Nice to be able to go pick up my online order instead of paying $65 for shipping.
For a place known for their hams and dinner packages, I never thought I would have such a wonderful and reasonably priced lunch there. I'm definitely coming back
Busy Atmosphere, it's best to call ahead so your item will be put aside. Lunch menu soup and sandwich is the way to go!!
The honey baked turkey breast was amazing! It is definitely worth every penny!
Always good food, fast service, friendly staff and very clean. This is a great place to stop in and eat.
Ron is an awesome guy answered all my questions

Great sandwich, great service.
Great ham
The only place anyone should buy Ham!!!
There ham was delicious
If you want a delicious sandwich, go to Honey Baked Ham for lunch. You can eat in or take out. They also have soup, chips, sweets, and soft drinks for purchase. My sister and I each had soup and half a sandwich for lunch and then split a decadent slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert. Reasonably priced. Clean. Right next door to Trader Joes on Wolf Rd. Treat yourself soon.
We’re here almost every holiday for Ham and turkey. This has been our family tradition FOREVER. It’s awesome when you only have to worry about fixing side dishes. Especially on Christmas....you can focus more on family time and less time cooking.
We have enjoyed HBH for over 20 years. Always very pleased with the quality. Every year, we look forward to our Christmas dinner which features a special ham from this store. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food!! Ham and turkey are both delicious and cooked to perfection. Excellent choice of delicious sides and desserts are good too. Prices are good for what you get.
Good tasting, easy preparation main dish for a holiday. The parking lot is busy as this store is next to a Trader Joe's.
Our next go to Ham for every holidays & seasons. Same taste as what we have in the Philippines 🇵🇭 sweet hams. Delicious and the price is just right for heavy and big hams.
Love Honey Baked Ham. It was my first time eating their store glazed turkey and sandwiches to go. They were outstanding
The management and staff of this Honey Baked Ham store is second to none! They saved my Easter dinner when my refrigerator died!! So grateful!
Outstanding! Had the best sandwich I've had in weeks here. Very polite and friendly service, great food, clean and quiet. I also got a soup mix and ham bone to make split pea soup this weekend! Recommended!
I was here again today; I no longer go to Trader Joe’s, not worth it. Out that way today on wolf 45 minutes away; this is the #1 best place to visit on Wolf Road. Super food; super staff. NOT cheap, but totally worth it. Thank You Again. 🙏🏻 This is THE BEST ham you can get anywhere, no question. Friendly service from the staff; I go here if I am on wolf rd, #1 stop before Trader Joe’s. Worth it; thank you. ❤️
AMAZING sandwiches! My daughter had the garlic cheddar turkey sliders, I had the honey baked ham sandwich. The toasted bun was like a croissant, it was super moist and flakey and had the perfect flavor. And the prices are extremely reasonable for the quality you get. 10 out of 10
Second time getting an order to go. Great ambiance in the store. Super polite staff. First time I got the Ham classic. Delicious! My wife adores the Ham salad. We also got sliced turkey and I got the stellar turkey classic. Will we back? Do humans breath air?
The workers are so sweet and friendly :) The food is always fresh and made perfectly. My coworkers and I order from here quite a bit, we usually call in an order ahead of time and they have always it ready for us within 10-15 minutes which is perfect. We love honey baked ham! A great local business who appreciates their customers. Thank you!
Although I love their hams, I do think that they are way overpriced. The only time I can afford one of their hams is if they run a special. Let's face it, $90 dollars for a ham is ridiculous when I can put on a whole meal for 6 people, for $90!
Thought I would stop in to purchase their new pot roast entree and a few of their delicious sides. So happy I did, and dinner was like dining out at a fancy restaurant! Team member was helpful and gracious. Love their ham and now pot roast..I will try their turkey next....
Ordered a 9+ lb. Ham with four sides for Thanksgiving. We all loved the ham and all the sides — I would say that the ham was the best we ever had. I look forward to ordering from The Honey Baked Ham Company again in the future 💛.

Like the new pulled pork sandwich
Manager Brenda is the best.
They still have good sandwiches but use to have more varieties of soup now they only have 1🤷
Love going here when I'm craving that perfect delicious turkey sandwich. They never disappoint.
Sadly, this place is often overlooked amongst the dozens of other food places on Wolf. They offer good food at a clean location!
Good food to splurge on once and awhile. $$$
Expensive hams You get what you pay for
Today 12/21/2021 at 3:00 PM I went to the Wolf Rd. Albany, NY.Location. I purchased 2 Boneless HBH'S (one 6 lbs. and one 7.6 lbs.) One Mac and Cheese side and One Walnut Cinnamon coffee cake. (TOTTALY OVER PRICED $23.50 and absolutly DRY and STALE)! I have been a loyal customer for many years. Today's visit was very DIFFICULT! Staff employee was not understanding anything I asked, therefore unable to answer, me correctly. An obvious language barrier, and it made me feel uncomfortable not understanding this nice lady! I spent $ 177.00. I feel blessed to be able to also purchase a HBH for my son and his famliy for Christmas. I am very dissapointed to have spent Money $$ on an expensive Coffee Cake for myself as a Treat and it's actually Not Edible :( I never waste my hard earned Money, like that! I wish I has chosen another option. Jo Anne
Have been using them for about 8 years for our Thanksgiving dinner. Ham this year tasted nasty. It tasted smokey and burnt. Never have I had this problem. I called Friday after to tell them about the issue and they didn't really care. Very upsetting since they aren't cheap. Everything else was delicious but not sure we will be back next year.
Sandwich was lacking ingredients, 1 slice of everything for a turkey sandwich, tge tomatoe was not ripe. Asked for condiments on the side, not in the bag. Expected a heartier sandwich for the price.
Food is good, staff is friendly, place is clean, but it's a basic sandwich shop/deli, limited options, and fairly expensive. Two basic, sliced bread sandwiches, 1 ham, 1 turkey, not subs, two small bags of chips, two small fountain drinks, and a small squeeze bottle of their horseradish sauce, came to about 33 bucks.
I'm a little put off by the corporate food ambience, but I found the ham salad to be delicious. I'll be back for ham. They also have a most interesting array of jams and chutneys and sauces. Staff is friendly and attentive
Ham was overdone , with a hard outer layer. There is too much artificial smoke favoring. Made me sick every time I ate it.
Typically I only ever order sandwiches from here which I enjoy. But this year for Thanksgiving I decided to order a meal. The ham was good as expected. The sides I got were green bean casserole and mac and cheese. Awful. Never again. I was aware they would come frozen but I just can't get over how bad the green bean casserole is. I sent it straight to the trash. For almost $200 I was more than disappointed. I'll stick to the sandwiches.

Very expensive for what you get. A turkey sandwich with 2 thick slices of turkey, thin slice of tomato & small piece of romaine lettuce, no cheese on a brioche hamburger size bun ( which I didn’t request and wasn't given a choice of breads)was $10.75. No pickle or chips. Still hungry, wish I grabbed a salad at Trader Joe’s.
Sadly, this particular branch did not exhibit their best customer service or product to me. I personally called ahead and spoke to someone at the store, explaining that I would be in the area for a funeral and would stop by after my flight arrived and requested the largest ham I could get for the corporate coupon emailed to me. The range was 4-6 lb. When I got there, I was offered a 5.1lb. Average. In fact, they were all within ounces of middle size. I believe only average grade and size hams were set out/pulled for this discounted event. It didn't matter the size or quality, bone-in were $29.99 and boneless were $24.99. When I got there, I was told that they couldn't find my order. Then I was shown the largest bone-in ham they had which was so fatty, I went with a boneless option. Yes the manager called me after I responded to a survey. I am not impressed with this store.
I arrived at 5:45pm to grab something to eat on my way home. I ordered a sandwich meal...which is supposed to come with a side. Didn’t receive that. And they close at 6pm. This might explain the terrible service I received. The cashier looked like she’d rather be at the dentist having a root canal. Sandwich was good. That’s where the two stars comes from. It’s just that you can get a lot more sandwich for the same price at many other sandwich places I’ve visited. Anyway, the next time that someone gives me a gift certificate to this place, I’m inclined to regift it. Probably to someone that I don’t like.
We decided to order a ham and sides for our Thanksgiving dinner (#2 with father in law) and it was a huge disappointment. The sides were frozen and tasted like frozen food sides (mash potatoes-gross and stuffing-dry) and the ham was okay but nothing like we thought it'd be as Honey Baked Ham has always held a strong reputation for their hams. My husband who picked it up said the customer service was good (which is why I gave it 2 stars) but everyone who ate said the entire meal was a big fail. Such a shame as my father in law just moved here to be near family & this was his first family dinner at his apartment here.

Not sure why the hype, ham was nothing special, turkey was horrible, cheesecake fell apart, sorry would not have recommended
Ham is great, but the people they have working are slow, and can't seek to get any orders right. Let alone get it done under 10 minutes.
Drove 20 minutes to get here before they closed at 6 on Saturday. Arrived 5:45 and the store was CLOSED! Thanks a lot!
Honey bake ham company passing off ham as smoke turkey breast , buyer beware , what a ripoff
Very mediocre. I was better off going to panera.
We got take out for a work gathering and the order was incorrect and partially inedible. The broccoli salad tasted like a cup of salt was added and they completely forgot the other meat that was ordered in the plater. The manager of the store didn’t seem to care when we called to complain about the botched order. Definitely would not order in the future.
I was in line to pick up an online order that was placed 3/23/25. The order included a boneless ham. When I was on the line amongst so many others, the store was selling out of items and not telling the customers on line but the customers leaving the store passing on the word. Soon after, an associate made an announcement stating that they were out of boneless hams and that they can do slices. I asked the question to confirm that even if the order was placed weeks ago, they are still sold out of it and they said yes. My mother who placed the order never got any kind of confirmation of anything being sold out when purchasing or then after. Being sold out of something after purchasing weeks ago makes zero sense and appears that they are selling people's orders to other people. Also, there was no separation for people who were picking up online orders and had to stand with people who had not placed orders. This is the biggest inconvenience I have ever dealt with pertaining to picking up an order. This store needs an audit and more
I've been a loyal customer of Honey Baked Ham for years, pre-ordering and pre-paying for my Easter and Christmas meals well in advance to avoid the rush. This year, however, was an absolute disaster. Despite committing to an 8 AM pickup time, I arrived to find a chaotic scene—a massive single-file line and people waiting off to the side for unknown reasons. There was no distinction between customers who had pre-ordered and those who walked in last minute. Only two employees were assisting customers, and after about 15 minutes, one of them—who appeared to be the manager—left and never returned. After over an hour in line, I finally reached the counter, only to be told that they had run out of boneless hams—the exact item I had pre-ordered. Instead, they wanted to substitute a bone-in ham of a similar size. When I pointed out that their store signage showed the boneless ham serving more people than the substitute they were offering, the employee argued with me. I had to push back just to get a bigger ham. At this point, nearly an hour and a half had passed, and my turkey breast still wasn’t ready! I was told it was being glazed and would be ready in 10 minutes. I waited. Fifteen minutes later, I asked for an update, only to hear the same excuse—"it just needs glazing, it will be 10 more minutes." I had already heard that exact line earlier. In total, I spent two and a quarter hours in the store. No apologies, no communication, no effort to notify pre-order customers that substitutions were necessary. They could have sent an email, made an announcement, anything. Instead, they let customers wait indefinitely. To make matters worse, Honey Baked Ham later sent me an email asking for feedback. I detailed my experience, checked the box indicating I wanted a response, and never heard a word back from them. While I’ve always enjoyed their food, the level of customer service at this price point is unacceptable. If they can't manage pre-orders properly, why bother asking for a pickup time? This experience has made me reconsider whether I’ll return for future holiday meals. Honey Baked Ham seriously needs to reevaluate how they handle high-volume seasons.
I was told to come here from a coworker while I was on lunch. I am very limited on time so I made sure to call ahead and see if they had the honey baked ham sandwich. He said they do so I called again at my lunch time to place a order. When I called the second time I was told they are no longer taking orders over the phone but they will be able to take my order in person. When I arrived at the store two employees told me they don’t sell sandwiches?? This was really frustrating and took a good amount out of time out of the only time I get to eat. This was my first experience here and I’m SO disappointed. PLEASE become more organized in the future.
