Great atmosphere, great food, large portions and friendly staff!!
Amazing place between the food service and atmosphere id say one of the best places on long island
Great place, great owners...the new Manager Chris is such a great guy..
Amazing service, big food portions
WOW! The food here was AMAZING! Huge portions for our group of 5 and a nice menu. American style Italian in a fun atmosphere. The Calamari and Lobster Mac is so Yummy! I got the lobster tortellini and cannot wait to go back and try something new! Highly Recommend!
This place it the best. Love the food, drinks, the environment and people who work there. Always feel welcome. Owner Sam always says hello. Mgr. Lee goes out of his way to make sure everything is as it should be. Any problems (they have happened ) are fixed immediate and make sure you leave happy. I recommend this place to everyone.
Went there on a first date food was good, service was great. Staff from the manager to our waitress was friendly, professional and made us feel very comfortable. Made for a great date night.
this is the best sea bass on long island, they have gigantic portions and fantastic food, you have to visit this place
family size portions with a side of rat pack mobster schtick.
Loud Italian music, huge portions, good food. You are going home with a doggie bag.
Very good food. Family style. A bit pricey.
My previous review: Worst Service Anywhere at Any Price! My wife and I were 2 of a party of 8 celebrating a 40th birthday party (not either of ours). With the meter running on the baby sitter, my wife and I arrived 10 minutes early for the 7:30 Saturday night dinner reservation. The restaurant was full at the time, but there were only a few people waiting to be seated. All 8 of us were at the bar waiting to be seated by 7:25. The maitre d’ kept saying our table was almost ready, almost ready… Meanwhile the line of people waiting to be seated kept getting longer and longer. I watched as numerous people who entered after us were seated ahead of us, in areas that would have accommodated 8.My wife and I left after several calls from our sitter who was having a difficult time with our youngest. It was already 9:10 and our table was due to be ready “soon” for over an hour and a half…The remaining 6 in the party were seated in the crowded and noisy bar area at 9:40. At a table that would not have accommodated 8. Despite the reservations our party numerous people were able to cut ahead of us. If the maitre d’ “Frank” would have been honest and told us that our reservation was not going to be honored would at least could have salvaged the night and gone elsewhere. I don’t know if you need to tip the maitre d’ to get seated in this place, or if you’re ordering over priced drinks at the bar you just get skipped over, or what?Compensation for the 2+ hour wait = A free plate of mussels. Happy Birthday! New Review: Update - despite the previous bad experience my wife and I recently returned with a party of eight. The experience was the complete opposite - seating was not an issue and the food was outstanding - have to say I'm very happy to have given it another shot!
Do the take out dinner. This place is very very loud and the current manager is very rude.
This Commack outpost serves family style Italian food. Large menu and sometimes can be a long wait
My wife and I and my mother in-law went there tonight, it was 5:30 on a Sunday so the place was half full. The waitress was very nice, her name was Katrina. We order a bottle of wine and an appetizer, the wine came right away, the appetizer took almost an hour. We also had to ask for bread, that should have been brought out right away. Katrina did give us all a free glass of wine but at that point we were starving. The food is decent, not a 5 star meal by any means but very good for a family restaurant for people who don't really know what great foods is supposed to taste like. We will never go back. If your a family with kids its fine but if you know anything about food and how it should really taste, move on to a better place.
Very underwhelming. It wasn't busy and after eating there I know why. Food was meh at best. The sauce served with the garlicknots was burnt, sub-part quality sausage and the meatball would nlbe better described as a dumpling as it was mostly bread. Ragu had little meat as well as the tirimasu missed the mark. Service was fine but lackluster food is a no-no when spending over $30 a person.
Service is awful, they give you an attitude upon entry and the rest chuckle along like it's funny to be impolite at customers, maybe it's because I look young they feel like it's acceptable.. I don't know. Food is good I'll give them that, but it's downhill since the last time I've been here.
Nasty waiters will not return
The food is more Mexican than Italian
Really went down hill! Won't go back. Food not good and atmosphere is not the same! Very disappointed!
We've felt awkward and uncomfortable. My family and I were celebrating my brothers birthday. We came in around 1230pm lunch time, there was no customer there. The waiter was polite and told use that theres gonna be partys soon so they offered us the bar to eat instead. During our meal we could see a party or two come in, however they have plenty of tables for anyone to use. After and hour and a half and finishing our meal, there were still plenty of tables available. We were at the bar where there are only bar stools available and my mother had bilateral knee pain. I went to the waiter and I told him how we felt that we were being excluded out of the main area. He told me that he thought that we would like to be in a quiet place for me and my family. I didn't want to cause any issues with my family and other customers there. So I paid for the meal and we left.
Today, Sunday 10/9/16, my family visited the Commack location to celebrate two birthdays at 1pm. Under the circumstances, our waitress did an excellent job. There was only our waitress and her assistant on duty for the entire restaurant. Our waitress was the bartender, hostess and also responsible for a bridal shower, our table of six, plus three other tables of guests. As a result, we were not offered bread, the drink order did not come until asked again, and our food was warm, but not hot. This girl did the best she could under the conditions she was working, and as a result we did not penalize her tip. This was strictly a manageral issue!! Unfortunately, the restaurant is not what it used to be!!!!
I went there for dinner with a friend and had the worst dining experience since I can remember. First off the rice balls which are supposed to be their signature dish were terrible. It was like chewing leather. Rice balls went back and to their credit they took it off the check... Next came the entrees...I had a chicken Milano which was almost not edible (menu said drizzled with balsamic, top must have fell off the bottle that does the drizzling lol) Drenched in a terrible balsamic dressing...My friend had the chicken scarpiello which he loved until he found a large hair in his plate...At that point we had enough and asked for the check...Once again to be fair they took the scarpiello off the bill...The final straw was a $3 liquor charge..We asked for what and the manager said you got a rocks glass...Rocks glass???? 3 bucks?? Bottom line we paid the bill, tipped the kid 15% because it wasn't his fault and left..Needless to say that I will NEVER eat there again....
The worst service.Had to wait for a table with a reservation. The food was terrible. If you go there hungry your in trouble because they fill uou up with the worst mashed potatoes, Will never go there again.
