Love the chicken in Popeyes...the staff was great, went inside the store to order dinner for my job, got 2orders of the 12pc meal..comes with 2 large sides(mashed potatoes&red beans and rice..other selections such as Cole slaw, Cajun fries)and biscuits ..enough food for 9people..quick service..I was out of the store in 5min..due to the pandemic as now there is no dine in service..carryout from inside the store or drive thru..

The chicken here is very good and the pieces you get are big. The counter staff are quick and efficient. The place is clean, even the bathroom. It definitely isn't cheap for fast food but a nice change from the usual burgers.

I just went there to try those wings and boy are they hot. I also got my daughter a 3 piece tender meal that cost me 13 dollars. Needless to say that will be my last trip there.when did they get so pricey?

The Chicken sandwich is the best, and not too expensive. The Manager in Shirley Comes around and checks to see how customers are doing. Only fast food place I know who does it.

The chicken sandwich lived up to the hype!! Great fries that have just enough spices to give them a lot of flavor and make them delicious! I will definitely be back. Want to order the chicken parts next.

Service was quick and dining area clean and sanitary. Normally when I get the quarter pound of shrimp there’s usually a wait time of about 6-8 minutes but they were able to serve up immediately.

I gotta give this popeyes 5 stars. The people here work hard and make sure I get my order correctly. Seriously people in the food industry don't get enough credit where credit is due and they deserve more. Thanks for always working hard and doing a great job it makes my day and week.

They always do a very good job here. The staff is courteous and efficient, the chicken and sides are excellent and consistently hot and fresh. I recently tried the new Mac and cheese and I loved it.

Very delicious. Came thru the drive thru the other day after a fun day at Splish Splash. We sort of went out of our way to come here and we were so happy we did. Fast, efficient service. Order was accurate. Food was hot and fresh when we got it. Very tasty, very crunchy fried chicken sandwiches. Not ordinarily in this area but the next time I am, will definitely stop by again! Came here while it was super busy one night, ordered food to eat inside. The manager saw we were waiting a few minutes which I didn’t think was a problem you could see all the workers moving around making plenty of orders. After getting our food he came over with a free side and apologized for the wait. Proceeded to come over a few minutes after to ask how our food came out and if we needed anything. Great service here and as always great food

always great at this Popeyes food always tastes good wait times are low. people who work here are great. Traffic getting in is rough sometimes but that's just the location. For some reason this chicken always tastes better then other popeyes.

I'm not even reviewing anything but Kesley. He makes me happy and gets 5 stars and would still get 5 stars if the place was burning down around him. He'd probably be smiling and helping save people from the fire.

My wife and I went for lunch. I ordered a Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal, my wife had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I asked if they give a military discount, they don't. He gave my wife a regular size drink on the house! That I do appreciate. I did ask for mashed potatoes, they gave me mac and cheese. To my surprise, it was very good. People do make errors. The staff was friendly and polite. Some of these one star reviews, I wonder if it's the people who are writing the reviews are the ones who are being rude and not the staff being rude.

WOWW, this review is a long time coming! Abt a week ago my son and I stopped by the Popeyes in Shirley's drive-thru and I placed an order for us. Come to find out I didn't have my debit card on me and we were like 20 mins from home. This AMAZING manager called Kesley did one of God's act of kindness and still gave us the food. He said, "take it. You can pay me whenever you're back in the store". I did go back and still Kesley didn't accept the pmt. He understood how hungry we were. WOWWW, Kesley brought tears to my eyes. Great food, took my girlfriend there for the first time together and the food was 10/10. Mac and cheese was amazing and so was my chicken sandwich. People there are super friendly and gave me a free apple pie because there was a 5 minute wait which isn't even that bad. New favorite fried chicken place for sure.

One of my favorite fast food fried chicken places. I don't know how they make it so good but the trip is worth it. They also get the food to you very quickly. They have the food prepared but at the same time it's still warm like it's been just made.

I don't eat fast food often, but was on my way to SP, so I stopped to get chicken tenders. They must have quite a turnover in food, bc the few times I've had this chicken, it is so fresh and delicious. Also, I usually use the drive-thru, but I needed to use the restroom. But first I ordered. The employees were really pleasant. The only bad thing is the bathroom was gross, so I took away a star for atmosphere. But otherwise, the establishment is very clean. Chicken at the beach tastes so good!

I really like their chicken tenders, and I was thinking about the sandwich but I went for the $5 tender deal. I kind of wish that they offered you two sauces for three tenders, I found myself rationing rather hard. Either way, they really do have smokin' chicken. The dude at the drive-thru window was nice? I always give service people five stars, they're just working under duress no doubt. Is it possible that we could institute a type of mandatory national service where people had to work customer service for 2 years? Kids and all. Oh boy would that calm people down when it came to ' I want to see the manager' 🤣

I usually go there once a week. They take your order quickly and they know my face. The food is always super fresh! I usually order only chicken. I find the protein is filling and after 2 pieces,I'm good. I also like going there because there never any employee turn over. Same people always and guess what ,they know there customer once they see your face. Think that absolutely,great! My experience is always,perfect.Really, perfect!

Been to many popeyes. This location provides excellent consistent service. Staff is always friendly. Yhey mention the deals and specials to you, whereas other locations sprcials are not advertised and if you do not checkyour order, items are missing. I have frequented this location and never had any issues, cant say the same for the other location on montaulk highway.

Well I just drove 35 minutes to get to this location. Got back home and I didn't had my bisque. That's the entire point of going to Popeyes. There bisque, well at least for me. The rest of my order was good. Service was quick. Place was clean.

Never too much of a wait the chicken is good. Plenty of parking. They have a drive through if that's what you prefer. They have spicy and mild menus for whatever tickles your fancy. The restroom was clean.

Best Chicken ever. This location makes it the best. I usually have the delicious chicken sandwich, but this time I went with family and used the coupon a manager had given me in the previous months. The dark meat chicken so amazingly delicious. I never each 3 pieces of fried chickengeneral 2, but that is how delicious it was that day. The biscuits was just the right amount of buttery tasting. I also thoroughly enjoy the cole slaw. It was not loaded with mayo like KFC or other places that make cole slaw (No a fan of KFC. Stopped going there 20 years ago) . I had second helping. Lol, I only intended to a a piece of chicken and the Cancun fries, it turned out I had dinner so so sooooo good. This Popeye's location is the best. The Mangers and staff are wonderful. A+ on the chilled Strawberry lemonade. Just an FYI: Popeye's was talk about on a radio statio the DJ said she loved the chicken sandwich and it was so good. I had to try taste it for myself and she was so right!

Tasty chicken, good service. Had to wait a few minutes for fries, but they were fresh and hot. I wish it was easier to get into and out of the parking lot. It's very difficult to go South, from this location.

Finally, I got one of those spicy chicken sandwiches, it was delicious! I don't see why so many people are going crazy but it's definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches on the fast food market. Oh and the Sweet heat 🔥 sauce is a must

Love this place.. Nice location and Clean. They mess up your order from time to time so check your begs but other then that flaw, they have good food and good staff.

A 4 because there is not many seafood options. Just the shrimp option. As someone that does not eat chicken, the limited edition fish sandwiches were a major meal that catered to people like me.

The meals were a little pricey but the food was great. The mashed potatoes had the perfect amount of spices and the chicken was crisp. The staff was helpful and polite. The only issue I had was the price. Other then that if your looking for great food in a hurry this is a homerun spot.

My favorite spicy chicken sandwich when it comes to fast food and they have several other nice selections. When it comes to fast food this is a five star place. The only issue is the horrible parking lot access which is an issue the location has had for decades, back to being a Roy Rogers. An exit on the north side to the Sunrise Service Road leading to Oak Ave would see me visiting far more often and make for an immediate five stars.

Not sure if they were just off for the night, they were out of diet sodas, all of them. they were out of straws. We also got one large french fry platter instead of all the individual fries with our 5 combo meals. Is that usually what they do for dine in? for me, the food is too spicy, but my husband loved it. I liked the green beans and biscuits.

Good food but kind of over priced. Boneless and bone in chicken legs/wings are usually pretty pathetic. Definitely recommend the sandwiches. Clean environment, nice seating, great soft drink dispenser with customizable flavors. Bathrooms are nice, staff is nice but I just can't get over how much it changed since the grand opening.

Very effective during these crazy times. The crew is courteous and they'll work their tails off so the wait isn't long, the food is great and at reasonable price. Now this is where you lose your five star rating, I'm a diabetic and I have gout. I'm really limited to what I can eat. I work at Stonybrook Hospital and when I come home I want a fairly well balanced meal for me and my family, so please bring back the green beans and the Cajun rice with meat and because I would visit popeyes at least once sometimes twice a week I really miss you guys now.

I personally think Popeyes has the best fried chicken and every restaurant should taste the same. My issue with this location is that every single time I visit you have to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for spicy chicken. I usually supplement it with regular but this has been my experience the last 5 times I have visited.

Clean and quick take out. Shrimp and biscuit meal was not bad. Decent size shrimp to nosh on. Fries were too spicy .What I didn't like was stepping out of side door and being right in front of car waiting at window service. Can be very dangerous .

This was our first time here. The chicken was just OK. Pieces were on the smaller side. Not that juicy at all and the batter was thick and on the bland side. We didn't order the spicy. Honestly KFC is better.

The food is ok. The service is very slow, and the atmosphere is very gloomy. The prices are insane.

The place was clean and rhe staff friendly. Tje chicken was pipping hot and very crunchy. I" m not a lover of greasy foods and the chicken was very oily and greasy. Take away the flour coating and ts savory spicy and tender. The buns freshly baked and tasty. The prices could be lower after all it is chicken. The service was very fast.

Drive-Thru order. Disappointed. Food (French fries and tenders) were cold and the requested sauce was not included. Seldomly visit this location and usually met with a decent experience, but this time the food was not up to par.

So Ordered Garlic Parm wings. It smelt as if they had not change the oil. I only at 3 of 12 wings and the Mac and cheese. I was ill they rest of the night. I'm not sure if this was a isolated incident but I will not be ordering there again.

My first time coming here for food for myself...complete waste of money. Chicken breading was thick and completely overdone. Too much cartilage and not enough chicken in the tenders. NO honey mustard? Fountain mixture was off. Just a bad experience all around.

I had to edit my first review. My first review was 5 stars. Not a single complaint. This time around, not so much. I came here to go through the drive-through to get lunch but when I pulled up to the order menu in the Drive-Thru I waited for 5 minutes and no one answered my hellos. I had to pull around and come inside, and when I told the cashier that I have been waiting at the drive-thru for service for 5 minutes, I got an eye roll and a little bit of an attitude. I then over heard the drive-thru attendant say that I could have been a little more patient. I could have been patient if you could have at least said "Hi thank you for coming to Popeyes please hold for one second!" or something along those lines. I would have known that you knew I was there. Next time I go there if I get good service I will just the rating.

This place does not have good quality chicken. The last time I ate there, I had the spicy chicken tenders which had a bad texture to them. The sweet tea I had was watery and not that cold. The sode dishes were pretty good though. The prices were pretty unreasonable for the quality I got from my meal.

Manager is extremely rude. I ordered a chicken tender meal. He gave me the wrong side and refused to change it even though the receipt said the correct side. The food was also dry and very dark. The cashier was cute though

On 8/31/23 at around 3PM ordered a 8 piece with one side for $30. When we arrived at home 15 miles away we found 2 pieces missing , what a disappointing moment. Then to make matters worse the children and fries were greasy. Never again!

First time ever going here and going to be our last! Poor customer service and the food was awful. I ordered the shrimp combo and I was lucky if I got twelve shrimp instead of the twenty two I was supposed to get, the fries were cold an soft. My husband's chicken sandwichs were also cold, the rolls were soggy and our biscuits were hard. They deserve no stars. Needless to say we were very disappointed because the commercials always made the food sound so good. Never again! The customer service was bad, employees were to busy messing around to pay attention that we go no straws, napkins, condiments and screwed up my soda, gave me regular coke instead of plain seltzer water. Worst place, I will not recommend this place to anyone.

I always go there to eat, I also go through the drive-thru and I don't like how a lady takes care of me. I don't like that she take my order, she is very rude and arrogant with customers and as a customer I don't like that she takes me the order i think her name is gaby or gary i'm really not sure but i heard her name they should have good staff not arrogant people!

My wife and I both ordered spicy sandwich combs. Chicken was not crunchy and not cooked right. It was hard like under cooked. We ate half and through the rest away. Can never get the order right ….ever. Please double check your order before you leave because I guarantee you they’ll mess it up. I ordered two small mac & cheese orders. I've been coming to this Popeye's since they opened and never had a problem. They were always friendly and respectful. Haven't been there in a while so decided to go today, went through the drive thru and the crew working there was just obnoxious and horrible! They were just cursing at each other while I was waiting for my food and playing around. The drive thru window was open so I heard everything that was going on. Simply guetto. They also didn't put literally half my order in the bag so I had to drive back to get it. My fault for not checking but I have never had a problem before.

So I ask the guy if he gave me hot sauce and honey . He tells me yes with a attitude.... I get all the way home and guess what . No sauce ... thanks for nothing..... he could at least lied to me without the attitude. Chicken was meh at best !

Ordered 1 Large side of Mac N Cheese and 1 of French Fries. Worker didn't even call my order when it was ready and had my food sitting there and didnt seem to care. They also didn't fill the Mac N Cheese container up all the way and when I asked them if they could put a little bit more in to fill it they refused and said it would be an upcharge. Very rude customer service. Won't be coming back to this location.

I guess they are saving money on seasoning or they think that everyone that comes here is admitted in a hospital on a low fat and low sodium diet.
