For lunch today, I selected the Basil Eggplant, opting for the dinner portion. To my delight, the serving size was remarkably GENEROUS and the flavor surpassed expectations in its delightful richness. Astonishingly, all this culinary bliss was acquired for a mere $12. Undoubtedly, it was the best eggplant I’ve ever had in a Thai establishment, leaving me eagerly anticipating my next visit.
I came here for my anniversary and it was beyond beautiful and amazing. The food was fresh, tasty, and filling. Customer service is excellent and welcoming. I’m definitely returning it was lovely and delicious.
Fabulous. Fast. Wonderful service, nice people. I love the name too. I am going to caution you just a bit... I asked for Thai spicy...which was wonderful but I was sweating half way through lunch. It was hot but very tasty... The lunch menu was robust and fabulous. Lots of dishes to try. We ordered 3 different dishes, Mine was spectacular...and the others looked yummy. I will try different dishes when I go back but I think the next time I'm going to dial back the heat 🔥 just a little bit! 😉 Go! They are awesome!
The Thai spicy wings and Crab Rangoon were a standout for appetizers. The Pepper garlic pork chops were delicious as well as the BBQ beef plate. Servers were attentive and made the experience excellent for a first time guest to the restaurant
Small joint with great food. I have always been a huge fan of Thai food. This place does justify Thai taste. Ordered Spicy Thai Fried rice with Chicken (Thai HOT) & Iced Coffee. Both tasted great and would definitely revisit. Serving portions are good, prices are reasonable. FYI - They are not serving any tap water. ONLY BOTTLED WATER.
This was our first time and it was hot, beautiful presentation, and delicious. Thai beer was refreshing. The service was friendly and fast. The four of us dinning all enjoyed our dishes and will be back for sure.
Wow. Just wow. This place is absolutely amazing. Super nice staff, and the environment is very inviting in my opinion. And the food is AMAZING. Recommend the appetizer imperial rolls and the entree drunken noodles.
I absolutely love this place... Warning: When they tell you it's spicy, they really mean it's SPICY. Not saying it's not awesome, just get prepared to have a little bit of the sweats. With every penny and every napkin it takes to wipe your brow.
Cozy place, neat and clean. Tasty food, tried garlic pepper sole. Extra tall glasses of Thai ice tea. The chef even made a special dish that is not in the menu just because we said we liked it, crab noodles. All delicious. Friendly service. Definitely a place to go for great Thai food.
Very casual. This is a family-owned business. The food is absolutely delicious the service is excellent and if you catch him early you will have a place to sit. It is pretty tight when it comes to wheelchair accessible. It is a little cozy but don't see it being a challenge. Plenty of parking. If you're looking for take out they seem to do a lot. you saw the movie Chocolat I would have to say this is one of my go-to's that reminds me of the decadent delicious taste of all the herbs and spices in Thai food. Prices are amazing. They serve beer and wine. Cheers!!🍺🍷
Tried this place based on recommendations from Google. The service was awesome. The staff is friendly and the water glasses were never empty! Our food showed up so fast, it's almost like they knew what we were going to order. The food is delicious. I'm coming back to try their other dishes!
Love getting takeout from here for family Thai night. Their food is very good and the quality is very consistent. Plus their team is super nice, welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend you try them!
I love this Thai place! I came here with my family and I had been here before and knew the food was going to be delicious. We had the seafood Tom yum, beef pad see ew, fish cakes, chicken pad thai and kobocha pumpkin curry. We also had Thai tea. Mine was a hot version and it was delicious. We also ended our meal with fried banana ice cream. We had two orders, one with green tea and the other with mango ice cream!
My wife and I just moved to Concord and surprisingly find this amazing Thai spot. Today we tried green curry and duck rice which are all really good. Will definitely come back to try more dishes
Hands down the best Thai food around. I've been to pretty much every local spot with my GF and this one's just simply the best. We usually get pad Thai and pineapple fried rice with some Thai iced teas. They can make it spicy and we get hot but if you want really hot get the Thai hot. If you don't like spicy even the medium will be to much for you most likely. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH!!
New favorite Thai restaurant. Service was so great! I recommend getting their red curry with pork. Also the italian soda is very worth it
I've been coming here for years. The food is always delicious, best thai tea (when ordering to-go you can order medium or large) in my opinion since I've been to places that make it different every time. It's consistent here and all employees have always been so friendly and kind.
Definitely recommend! The portions were great, they were quick to bring out little salads and waters, the prices were definitely affordable too. My kiddo also appreciated the Italian soda options. We tried the crab Rangoon, fried eggrolls, pad see ew and the pad Thai, all were very good and I’d order them again. They were all friendly and nice too. We will be back!
I love this place. Great food
The BEST Thai I have eaten in Ca. So fresh and tasty! I eat Thai a couple times a week. Keep trying new restaurants and always come back to Mai This! Fabulous food!
My wife and I love this place. This is our go to for lunch. I always get the BBQ Beef with Rice or the BBQ Chicken with rice. Everything here is delicious. I’ve tried the Chicken Pad Thai, Yellow Curry and Rice, both BBQ plates and next I want to try the seared Duck. We come here at least twice a month for lunch. It’s a cozy little place and very welcoming. The hosts are always friendly and smiling. The food is delicious and the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I make the drive from Antioch every time because this place is a Home Run every time!
Excellent food and service. Husband loved the pad Thai; I enjoyed the drunk noodle the first time we went. More recently, husband tried yellow curry with beef and garlic rice, and I had pad see ew with beef. Both were excellent! -- We went back for Valentine's Day. They gave me a gorgeous red rose! 🌹 Husband tried red curry with mixed seafood. He said the red is more flavorful and spicier than the yellow he had last time. I got drunken noodle with beef. We both ordered Thai iced tea for the first time. It was really good, but a little strong. We took the rest to go and diluted it with more tea at home. Husband's already planning on going back when we celebrate his birthday in a few weeks. -- Husband chose Mai Thai 2 for birthday dinner: *I loved Thai iced coffee *Husband loves Thai iced tea *Oldest daughter loved BBQ beef *Kids got sticky rice. I liked it, but they weren't thrilled. It came in cute little baskets.
OMFG... This place is by far my favorite Thai place! Beats any place in SF and NYC! Portions are sharable or enough for lunch the next day, even the Thai iced tea is big enough for two. The pineapple curry was not too spicy, tons of chicken and the flavor of the soup was perfect. The only complaint was the bench is very uncomfortable to sit on AND the bathroom is quite dirty compared to the rest of the restaurant. More then happy to return after the bathroom gets a new coat of paint or everything washed and update the comment.
Very good food! Everything was excellent and authentic! Best Thai food I have ever had and I have had a lot of thai food in my life. Highly recommend this place! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
My girl Je took me here! It was a tiny little cozy place to have lunch. Large portions, for sure! Presentation was excellent, and they give u a little salad as an appetizer, while you order. The people's there were nice, and the people across the table from us ordered something that was brought in a HUGE bowl you could probably bathe in!! I'm telling you, large portions indeed. 😁 Too bad I was too busy eating their tasty offerings that I forgot to take pics.... I guess I must go again. I'm doing this for YOU. 😂😂
The food was good and served really fast. The place is small, maybe 10 tables, but cozy and updated. Sometimes is full and there is little wait. Free parking. Portions are just enough, without being too big.
Omfg SO BOMB💣‼️💯❤️🔥👍🏾‼️🛸OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD🛸‼️🙏🏾👽🌌‼️🥂😊👍🏾‼️ONCE A GOSH DARN GAIN‼️THE FOOD MAKES YOU WANT TO LITERALLY HUG THE WAITERS, LIKE FOREAL I WANTED TO EMBRACE THAT'S HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS WHOEVER READS THIS💯
Food is pretty amazing but on this occasion we simply ordered their mango sweet rice to go...and one of the employees brought it out to our car as we waited. Thank you for that..and for your awesome food!

My mother lives at Walnut Creek, and when I come to visit her.I'd like to take her out to lunch. She wanted Thai food this last visit. I came upon this little restaurant when searching for restaurants in the area. We were both pleasantly surprised. The food was clean and fresh and just enough. It was the sweetest little spot, very chill, perfect from me and Mama. It appeared to be a family owned local spot. I believe it was the daughter who served us, and she was very accommodating and kind. It appeared that she knew all the other patrons. They must have been regulars. We will definitely be going back!
The good is excellent! You won't be disappointed with almost anything you order. Be sure to glance at the specials, they had BBQ platter special last time we went and it was a good deal, and the meats were savory! Having been there many times, we know the ladies who work there are normally friendly and quick on service. I gave one star less because they recently have a young guy there who continuously is engrossed in his phone, causing us to have to remind him to bring drinks or additional food items we were waiting on. They need to do something about him. (But, I guess that may be part of the new normal with these young folks) Still, that one guy is but a bump in the road. Mai Thai 2 is a really good place to get some Thai food.
Great food, good prices... Don't forget to look at the all day specials too 😉
There's a lot to like at this restaurant. All of the dishes are great. Service is great. At lunch time, they serve complimentary miniature salads with a peanut dressing that's delicious. One thing to know to make your first visit smoother: they don't bring you the check. When you're ready to pay, you just go to the register. Not a big deal, just slightly unusual.
Mai Thai in Concord is one of our favorite MUST DO restaurants when eating out in this neighborhood. The food is exceptional - tasty, yummy, authentic and reasonably priced. The restaurant is warm and cozy. Today for lunch I had the sweet and sour catfish for the first time and enjoyed it thoroughly. Then I got a take home order of chicken cashew to take on the plane ride back to Dallas. Have been here many times with the wife, with friends and family and always find it to have been a great choice for lunch or dinner. UPDATE: Most recent visit we tried the appetizer platter and really enjoyed it. Would order that again.
Adriana could not have been a better hostess. Professional, kind, and courteous in all phases, in all respects. We will recommend to friends, family. Great food, superior service. Thank you, on behalf of my mother and myself. Jay Bugatti
Delicious food. They also have no spicy options for those that don't like spicy food. Those that do love spicy food, they offer different levels of spiciness. They also have like seperate chile trays. Friendly and attentive staff.
Great neighborhood Thai food restaurant. First time here. It was pretty early in the evening and it was full. Good for family/friends. Nice vibe. Had chicken pad thai, shrimp spring rolls and Thai tea. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to returning.

I was feeling like Thai food since I haven't had it in a while. I looked up Thai restaurants that were close by since I didn't feel like driving all the way to Pleasant Hill to my usual Thai place. This one had the simple items that I wanted compared to the Thai restaurant across the street. I scanned the menu for a go to. I have a couple of things that I order when I get Thai food and I thought the simplest is ordering Pad See Ew. I ordered it and had chicken as the meat. I tried it and thought it was good. The chicken was a bit dry so next time I think I'll get beef. Noodles were good and the vegetables are good. The pot stickers had a mustard flavor and that was a little strange. I didn't expect it to be sauced up. I guess I'm used to Chinese pot stickers pan fried. Overall, I think I would come back and order something else. Maybe try a curry or some salad.
Fast table service. Variety of menu options. Vegan. Vegetarian. Whether you're looking for take out or a cozy place to eat out, this place has great Thai food. Plenty of parking. Not usually crowded. Great date spot. Family friendly. Top pick for locals or travelers. If their phone is down it just means they're super busy and dealing with a mad rush of customers.
Nice decor. Friendly staff. The coconut rice was out of this world! All the meals had so much flavor. The curry chicken was my favorite. Great sized portions also.
Husband and I tried this restaurant. We ordered BBQ Platter (includes chicken, pork, and beef), we liked it except the bbq beef are so tough and it was so hard to chew, we also order Seafood Pai Thai but not the taste we were looking for (too sweet for me).
First time trying this place and I am from outta town. Really a delightful place. Food was prepared quickly and was hot enough still to eat without having to warm up too much. Ordered the seafood soup, chicken pad Thai, seafood salad, fish fillet with extra garlic and of course Thai ice tea. I must say Deliciousness!!! Everything was tasty and fresh. Now I only gave them 4 starts not due to quality or flavor of food. I thought portions could be slightly more. But over all great place to get your Thai food fix!!!
Very nice neighborhood restaurant...one that was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday afternoon. We had a short wait, but the weather was great, so we sat outdoors and enjoyed the sunshine. We ordered some staples, like fried rice and pumpkin curry, a couple of dishes I had not heard of before (Nua Ob, a stewed beef) and Dancing Prawns skewers (prawns stuffed with crab) and a spicy Catfish. Everything was delicious, except for the dancing prawn. That was dry and inedible. I took one bit and wasted my portion. Overall, we were quite happy.

The papaya salad was soggy and basic. The duck was the lunch portion, and it was small and over cooked. But it was nice of them to accommodate during dinner service. There was a sauce that came with it that was amazing. Not sure if it was for the duck or the side salad. Too many better Thai places to go back.
Staff was polite, and service was fast. This might be a good restaurant for someone who's new to Thai food or not used to eating spicy food. Because when the menu describes the dish as "mild", it really means mild. We eat a lot of Thai food, so the taste didn't suit our palate--too sweet and not flavorful enough. We also found it very disappointing that the roast duck in the curry tasted stale. Prices were kind of expensive, but portions were big. One curry dish would be big enough for about 2-3 people to share. Overall, it looked like a decent place that's good for family and small group gathering. Would recommend avoid ordering less popular dishes, though, to ensure the food ingredients are more fresh.
Texture and taste is amazing. Spiciness is hot and tasty without over powering the dish. The only issue I had was that it was $4 extra to add shrimp... for 3 pieces of shrimp. Definetly will just take what is included next time.

Stopped by for lunch, service and food was below average. Waiter was impatient and non attentive. Penang chicken was way below average. Taste was worse Penang I had, chicken was hard to locate. The garlic chicken was good.

**Please learn from my mistake** With the cost of living in California hitting levels that are to frightening to think about, and we all have to shell out eight dollars for a cup of Amy's frozen Mac n cheese, I think "geez I might just SAVE some money if I get one entree from a restaurant." Twenty dollars later my mouth is full of red curry, and I regret it. The tofu tastes like it was marinated in soy sauce and deep fried! Weird salty curry and stale rice...or maybe it was freezer burned rice...? Anyway it crumbled. There was one small green pepper chunk, two chunks of rubbery, very undercooked eggplant, and about 100 soggy bamboo slices. Pretty heartbreaking for a twenty dollar meal cooked by professionals. I wish I had just bought apples & peanut butter, and called it a night. At least I would not feel like throwing up all that soggy, flapping, bamboo.😕
