Our second time visiting post Wineglass Half Marathon. Fantastic Food and Service. Waitress was very kind to turn on the air conditioning without us having to ask. It was unusually warm for Wineglass!!!

Honestly one of the best bar b Que restaurants I have tried. Been to great ones all over the country. The ribs were hearty, meaty, and done perfectly. The sides were amazing and the quantity is huge. Great food and very quick service. The sweet tea was even great.

I’ve been a customer of Slammin Jammin’s since moving to Corning over 10 years ago and the food has been consistently good . I’ve had most of what the menu offers but my go to is the Friday fish fry and the sliced brisket, baked beans, potato salad with corn muffin (with 2 extra muffins).

Great food, great prices, great service, the waitress goes up and down the stairs like a crazy person, the owner fixed a small problem with an order with a smile on his face and made everything right instantly!! and they fit us in on a Saturday night ..Loved it!!

Outstanding Texas BBQ. Staff were very friendly. Benjamin was very courteous and professional. If you are looking for Good Ole Texas backyard BBQ, this is your place. Yesterday, Slammin Jammin BBQ became my son's new favorite place to eat. Update: 5/23/24 My son, now 18 and about to graduate, and I returned to celebrate and enjoy the fabulous BBQ and we were not disappointed, Our server and all the staff were friendly and the only thing better than the service was the BBQ. Oh and you need to try their Texas Twinkies. You won't be disappointed. Still our favorite restaurant in the area.

Tasty, flavorful, falling off the bone ribs. Fresh salad and baked beans with corn bread muffin sides. My wife enjoyed the half chicken too. The one young lady server was friendly and expert at juggling the small number of guests while preparing the meal as well. Nice music and interesting decor. I am so glad that the owner of the Collage Salon recommended this restaurant to us while getting a haircut at her new salon. We will be making return visits to this Gaffer District business.

Amazing bbq and beer! Stopped over on our way to Canada and the food was great with amazing service. Try the ribs, you won’t regret it. 😋

What a great time with family! So pleased we found it. Brisket, smoked crisp and juicy wings, everything you want in a Texas smokehouse. Even the little one ate her whole corn dog. Thank you for a fun time!

On our way to Letchworth State Park from NYC we made a lunch stop at Slammin’. We hadn’t been there for three years. Their location changed, but their delicious ribs didn’t. The ribs were moist, super tender and flavorful. They were not too salty or sweet.They we’re seasoned to perfection; truly, finger licking good. The coleslaw was creamy and crunchy the perfect complement to the ribs. The service was prompt and friendly. My only regret is that I live too far away to be a frequent customer.

Food was amazing! My wife and I shared the platter and all the BBQ meets were great. Especially loved the brisket and pulled pork. Also the sides of Macaroni salad and beans were great. A great price. Great beer. Waitress was excellent. Nice location down the Main Street. Lots to see nearby.

Amazing food and fantastic service. The brisket and ribs were delicious. My wife got the loaded brisket fries. They were tasty and so generous they could have been a meal on their own.

By far the best BBQ in the area that I have found. You can mistakenly believe you are in the Great State of Texas with the atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Their sampler platter is a MUST if you are like me and had never been there before. I ordered the brisket and pork ribs. The brisket was perfectly smoked and the ribs melted in my mouth. The amount of sauce is spot on. You don’t need to dowse the meat in sauce to make it taste good. I believe it would ruin the flavor balance. I will forewarn you, there is no mac-n-cheese, however the baked beans and coleslaw were worthy substitutes. If you’re looking for BBQ in the area, look no further.

We stopped in for a late lunch and the place was full, but they made room for us upstairs which was nice. We enjoyed some of the best smoked and deep fried garlic parm chicken wings we have ever had. Definitely a must have on our next visit.

Stopped in with my brother and his son while we were in Corning for dinner service was excellent food was good as always second time we've been there never a disappointment.

If you're looking for a place that has delicious pulled pork or chicken, Slammin' Jammin' BBQ is the place to go. They have other menu options as well like burgers and salads. The baked beans are so scrumptious. Highly recommended!

We went in late about 45 minutes before closing and they were very nice friendly and accommodating! Food was excellent and service was very friendly. Definitely have to visit if you are in town! Thank you for a great experience on our first time here.

Awesome food! Don't know why this place doesn't have a 5☆ rating. We had smoked prime rib prepared perfectly. They had the tastiest au jus I've ever had. Almost passed on the fried pickles because they were spears. We prefer the chip pickles. So glad we ordered the "appetizer". It was a huge portion and the spears were super crisp. Not soggy like other places. If you're in Corning do yourself a favor and eat here!

Pulled pork sandwich with the sweet BBQ sauce was very good! Moist and juicy not dried out like other places. Would visit again, the coleslaw was excellent too!!

Food and service was excellent! Staff was friendly; owner asked us how the meal was, to which we replied it was incredible! I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family in the area and will be back for more tasty BBQ next time I'm in the area.

Have never had Prime Rib before, so we tried the smoked Prime Rib. THE BEST DARNED beef I've had in a long time. Will definitely be making the trip back up for more!

Walked here from my hotel. Super friendly staff. First thing I did was ask if they could put the TV on football game—and they did! I asked for a combo that was not on the menu and they had no problem with my request. Brisket was beefy and smokey, jalapeño poppers “twinkies” were great, and BBQ sauce was REALLY great (especially the spicy one). I’ll be back!

They delivered exceptional service along with high-quality food and drinks. I ordered a platter for two, which provided ample portions of many items on the menu. After stuffing ourselves, we had enough for leftovers to take back to our hotel after a long seven-hour drive. I value the team’s hospitality and their commitment to offering great food. When visiting Corning, I recommend choosing Slammin Jammin BBQ on Market Street for outstanding barbecue, cocktails, and memorable meals. I saw him take the ribs out of the oven. The owner was nice enough to prepare a rack of rigs for us to take home. Every time we are in Corning, we stop there because the food is just too good to miss. Awesome tecas style bbq here in upstate. The owner was kind enough to open up for us even though he's normally.closed on Mondays. But the mac and cheese bites and fried cauliflower were delicious. So was the brisket and, potato salad, and baked beans!! Defiantly check it out. Only thing is the prices are on a qr code on the menu.

I got a cocktail and it came out in a huge mason jar and was yummy. The pulled pork was delicious. I tried some of my dad’s brisket and it was good too. There’s downstairs and upstairs seating. We sat downstairs so I’m not sure what the upstairs looks like but they took a party of 8 up there. There’s a bar with barstools. We didn’t have to wait for a table when we went.

My initial impression was positive. We came in with our 8 month old and everyone was friendly and happy to accommodate/see our little one with us. You could quickly tell it’s a local fav. What really matters though is the food and I’d give it 10 stars if I could! For the meat lovers out there- this is your spot! Everything is made/cooked in house and I was in heaven eating my heaping pile of food. Absolutely delicious!!

Food was very enjoyable, and everything was understandably priced. We came on a decently packed day, so the staff were a bit slow to get around to us. The serving time was a tad bit long, but it's a given considering the conditions. Parking was a squeeze. If you're lucky, you can find a spot on the street; if not, you'll have to pay or look someplace else. All in all, a decent place to fill up on some good meat after visiting the Corning Museum of Glass!

We love the ribs here. The portions are huge. I will definitely get a half rack next time...I was having leftovers for a couple of days. It's a little tight in there, but great food brings a lot of people. 8-3/ I tried the rib eye tonight. It was good, but my guys had ribs and I will get them again next time. Lucretia is back.☺

Any barbecue place your order food by the pound is probably pretty good. Most of it was fantastic. The ribs has great flavor, but we're slightly tough, and the fries were like rocks. The ambiance was perfect though, and the servers were really nice. I strongly recommended, but avoid the French fries.

Who did this place on a Sunday, an hour before closing and got to take out We ordered a hamburger, a pulled pork sandwich, and a half rack of ribs. The hamburger came with fries, as did the ribs. The ribs also came with a side of beans. The ribs were very tender and the meat fell off the bone. The barbecue sauce was very good, although they did not provide any side cup with extra sauce so whatever was on the rib is what you got. The hamburger was well cooked and juicy, the only complaint there being that the lettuce that was provided was a very small, one leaf piece. Be honest, the pulled pork sandwich was not eaten until the next day but it was still very good which indicates to me when it was hot and fresh. It was probably excellent. Again, the only sauce you get is what they already put on it. I tend to be the type who likes to douse my food in extra barbecue sauce. The side dish beans were delicious, with bits of very tender pork in them. Unfortunately, the french fries that accompanied both main dishes were completely inedible. Totally soggy and lifeless, they were thrown away after a couple of bites. Other notes: there's a bar area, both the lady who greeted us and the lady who prepared our food were very friendly, and the place looked very clean and well managed. French fries aside, it's a very nice place and we will definitely go back and give them another try.

Pretty decent place. We were a party of 11 without a reservation. This team was able to accommodate us. The wine and beer selection is limited. The food was good. Parking is street parking only (from what I saw (we are from out of town and don't know the area). I think it is safe to say that we would visit again if we are in the area.

I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. It did not get 5 as some of the ribs were a little burnt and it was a little pricey for the type of food. But…. the service was fantastic, the food came quick and it was delicious. The meat fell right off the ribs, the corn muffin was delicious, the green beans with bacon and onions were even very tasty. I liked the fries and the patty melt also, though I asked for medium rare and it was more medium - medium well, it still was moist and tasty. We definitely will return.

Atmosphere, it was fairly smoky from the cooking. Wish they had more exhausting of the place. Other than that the food was good as was the helpful service.

The service is good, the food is average. Not bad at all, just nothing special. Price is decent.

We enjoyed brisket. Dinners, both were really delicious! If you can never order the green beans, they are the best green beans I’ve ever had. They cooked them on their stove, top with bacon and a some diced potatoes— so good! Their hand cut fries are delicious! They do smoked barbecue and I liked the smoked flavor on the brisket.

Pros: baked beans were solid and the hostess/bartender was helpful Cons: -I wasn’t given butter for the hush puppies. It’s a sin to eat hush puppies with no butter. -fiah was super dark, I’m not sure if it’s seasoning or the grease was old. Fish was tasty nonetheless. Friday special was the fish fry and it was 16.99 plus tax. I was surprised to only see 1 piece of fish but the meal def filled me up so no complaints there

I tried the special of loaded brisket fries. I really like them, but the brisket was chopped so fine it was hard to tell where it was. We also had the lunch brisket plate. The taste was good, but there was a ton of fat chopped in with it, probably about a quarter to a third of the whole serving. The pulled pork was good along with the baked beans. Both sauces on the table were also delicious. I preferred the chipotle BBQ since it was spicy. The service was excellent.

Ordered the Family One Pound of meat, 1/2 pound of Pulled Pork, 1/4 pound of brisket and 1/4 pound of dark meat chicken. The food was fine but was not hot (temperature-wise). Of the three meat selections, I'd say the chicken was the best followed by the pulled pork and then the brisket. The fries were in the fryer a little longer than they should have been. The service was fine. Not the ultimate in BBQ but okay.

I gotta say the slice brisket is tough and dry ti the point i thought i was going to choje on it. Was very disappointed. The sausage seems to be just basic kolbasa with a BBQ sauce on it. I guess I should have went to Nichols as they seem to always give a great product. I learned my lesson.

Food was alright. I got the wings which were pretty good. Husband got the brisket melt and our son got the grilled cheese. Nothing special that would keep us coming back. Wait staff was friendly and helpful though. All in all not great but not terrible either. Knocked off another restaurant to try on Market Street. 😀

Two of us shared a 3 meat combo . It included pulled pork, brisket and roasted chicken. Our sides were french fries and coleslaw. The meat: chicken and brisket were good. The pulled pork was average,lacked flavor. The fries were a fresh cut and very good. The server was average . She offered a refill for my s.o. beer. But did not check back to see how our food was or refilled my drink. Offered to bring an extra plate and did not bring it. The price for our meal was average , appetizers on the higher end.

Your restaurant on Pulteney Street was 10 times better. I'm sad that A Touch Of Grace in Elmira closed down, because their hush puppies were wonderful. Yours, though? Too dark outside and not much taste inside. And served with butter?? I should have ordered the chopped brisket, as the sliced is a bit tough. And your Texas toast was just regular toasted white bread. Cole slaw and baked beans are good, at least.

Food was mediocre at best. The appetizer jalapeno peppers were burnt but still tasted good, the ribs were just ok and the brisket was the driest piece of meat I have ever tried. We were extremely disappointed to pay 50 dollars for a lunch that left us that dissatisfied. Sweet BBQ sauce was incredible, service was good and the waitresses were extremely nice and friendly, the only redeeming qualities in our book.

The service was good but the food was covered in sauce and the chicken was dry. The kielbasa was the star of the plate but that's because it tastes great on its own. My kids didnt even finish their sliders and they LOVE burgers. The photos looked great but very misleading. Disappointed since this was a first visit to Corning.

The order was actually confused when it arrived. My spouse ordered the sausage and pulled pork, she recieved brisket all around, I ordered the half chicken breast and chopped brisket with coleslaw. It wasn't mind blowing like some BBQ I've had however it was cooked fully and its flavour was decent. Chicken was seasoned which I appreciated. However the messed up order to begin with was a let down. Atmosphere if the reataurant is somewhat dark not much lighting. Anyhow I wasn't impressed in any way

Second trip since the move to Market Street, this place cannot possibly be under the same ownership. Last time they were out of burger, this time they should have been. A little backstory is deserved, I one time was going to be in this area and planned my trip for a delay of eating for 3 hours to enjoy the burger. After this trip I will not be eating here again. If that burger wasn't soy I'll kiss it. Terrible tasteless, no texture. If you are charging 26 dollars for a burger fries and beer it had better be good. I regret not going to freaking Micky Don's, be it known that I have not eaten there in decades. Service was poor, had to ask for salt, pepper and my side, I be darned if I am asking for ketchup! Sorry folks, personable dude at tge bar but needs some education on serving, the food? Topped off with a burger that was obviously pressed and frozen and over a 99 percent chance either utility-grade meat or soy!?!?! On Market Street in Corning NY you had better figure it out or you will be gone and after that meal deservedly so...

We went on a Thursday evening wasn’t busy at all 3 other tables in there. Only 2 ladies working. We had a full rack of ribs, Mac salad,beans,corn bread,garlic bread,2drinks. The ribs were dry as could be. But the rest was okay. The waitress that took our order dropped our food and never came back. Had to ask the other waitress for more soda Togo boxes and our check. Then it cost $70.00 including the tip. Don’t think we’ll be going back there anytime soon.

I got the Texas Twinkies. At least that's what I ordered. What I actually got was lumps of charcoal. My friend said that the brisket was excellent. The place needs a good cleaning and the bar needs to be decluttered.

Food cold. Ordered a rare burger came well done. Had a draft beer brought and after drinking it , noticed sediment at bottom of the glass. Waitress never offered to bring another beer. You may want to clean out your tap lines. This was less than acceptable.

I don't like giving bad reviews but I want to give honest ones. Not sure if it was an off night. The waitress was quick and prompt. The food came out quickly. But. We got the brisket and the chicken. The brisket was all fat and very chewy and the chicken was so (very dry) it couldn't be eaten.

Meals were great. I got 2 meat combo-chopped brisket and pork, beans, fries and corn muffin. I also got a full tray of drinks spilled on me from neck to knee. I was very understanding and continued with the evening. Waitress apologized I understand it could happen to anyone and reacted very reasonably and continued with dinner. Expecting maybe a small ( even maybe free drinks) response to the mishap) but nothing was offered. After leaving (glad it wasn’t winter time) I guess I should have left a little less tip. Very surprised and disappointed. Don’t know if we’ll go back. Sometimes service matters as much as the food.

Dinner was almost $200 for 4 people and adequate at best. The fries and prime rib were overcooked. For spending over $40 on prime rib, it should be cooked how we like it. Definitely not worth the price. Waited a long time for check and eventually had to go downstairs ourselves to pay and they had a hard time splitting up the bill. Maybe they were short staffed but it wasn’t that busy. Overall, wouldn’t recommend or eat here again.

Needed to grab some food to go so we had to get stuff we could eat with our hands in the car. Chicken sandwich was decent, a bit dry but good taste. Fries were good. Green beans were great. Bleu cheese Burger was absolutely terrible - had enough seasoning for two pounds of meat and literally no blue cheese at all. Just a lazily made and disgusting tasting burger. Very disappointing. Hopefully the bbq is better but I won’t be back to find out. It’s a lot easier to make a decent burger than it is to make good bbq so I wouldn’t count on it.

We got a table for 5 to eat before the parade of lights . We were sat by 6pm and at 7:17 we still hadn't recieved out appetizers or food. We had to change our order to go. The parade is starting at 7:30 and we still do not have our food to go. We sat for over an hour . We paid our bill and it was more than we expected but not itemized. So we just paid $190 for i don't know what, except 3 mixed drinks , a sweet tea and 2 lemonades.

Brisket was lukewarm, chewy and...pretty bland. Wouldn't go out of my way and eat here again. I also felt that $17 for a small lunch plate was a bit ridiculous for a BBQ joint.

I ordered the wings and a salad. I love this place and have recommended it to several people. But today the wings were over cooked and dried. Idk if I’ll come back because $28 is a lot to spend on food you can’t eat. So I went back a month later and they made me wings and nailed it!

The brisket was all fat and the chicken was very dry. The plopped meat on a platter and squeezed BBQ sauce over it. Poor presentation. The service was good and the place was a cool place.

I was here a few years ago & it was good. It obviously has gone downhill since then. We waited very long intervals between getting drinks or even having someone stop to see if we needed anything. Ordered a brisket plate, watched the girl take it out of a plastic container in the refrigerator, and place it into the microwave. Muffin was just bland. I am very disappointed in this place for being a BBQ. I would not recommend this place when there are other BBQ options in the neighborhood that make their food fresh daily. Disappointed overall.....

I ordered the pulled pork dinner with coleslaw, French fries and we shared an appetizer of hush puppies.. The hush puppies were fried in old oil that taste like old fish grease.. Then my pulled pork had absolutely no texture and mushy taste and the French fries had the same taste as the his puppies old oil …. I will not be returning..

Made us wait 1 hr for food that never came. Nobody told us there was going to be a long wait. When asked how long, they did not know. Cancelled the order and called the manager as we were about to walk out. She said food maybe coming but she was going to check and will just offer it for free. 1 minute later one of the servers just told us that they cancelled the order. Manager didn't even come up to tell us herself. If the other bbq place near is open, probably better waiting there than here.

Pretty poor experience. Shortly after being seated, we were asked how we were temperature wise, to which we said 'perfect, thanks for asking.' The server then proceeded to turn on the AC and it became quite cold. Had to ask twice to turn off. The food came on cold serving plates, individual plates were also cold and one wet. The food then of course became cold quickly - taste was OK. Beer was served without removing empty glasses. One of the sides was wrong, but reasonably quickly replaced. We had ordered for a large combo and asked our server to just serve us half and pack the other half to go, to which he said no problem. It turned out the entire platter was served and we were told we could pack half of it ourselves as the kitchen was too busy to pack for us. The restaurant was handling both eat in and to go orders at the same time, so apparently not too busy that they couldn't pack for others, but too busy to pack for us. There are other good BBQ choices in Corning and nearby. No reason to head back here. Just some edits/facts to address the reply: - 'Packing for us' was only mentioned after we had already packed our food. - We were the only ones seated in the upstairs area where the AC was, so yes, it was all about us, especially as we had two elderly people with us who are especially sensitive to cold obviously. - The feedback to the server was about the restaurant, at no point was it about any of them as a person and there was no yelling, so I"m not sure where the verbal abuse was. Admittedly one party member commented 'well, you should have thought about it' once, but that's the only time that a person was mentioned directly and pretty far from verbal abuse. Not sure how else the restaurant would have wanted to receive feedback. I would have hoped they would have come back with 'sorry about the experience, let's try to make it better,' but reading the other responses, I guess this is normal.

If I could give it a zero, I would. My first clue should have been, when arriving at 5pm, they said they had no ribs or brisket. However, my wife and I stayed to try something else, because it was our first time, and there were high reviews. Also, we love a good BBQ. So, we each ordered the 2-meat platter. Mine was pulled pork, chopped brisket (not to be confused with the sliced, which they were out of), salad, and fries. The food was terrible. The fries were near black in color (cook doesn't know how to soak fries in water, when fresh cut and sitting around), and the meat turned my stomach so that I could not eat it. I believe the place knows their food is terrible, because the waitress didn't even bother to ask if there was a problem. My stomach is upset, even this morning, and I usually have an iron gut. This place melted through the iron. I've had way better BBQ dinners, across this country and over many years. This place needs a warning sign.

Wait staff was amazing.Bathrooms need work sink faucet legit lifts off sink. was freezing because exhaust system broke so they had to have doors opened. We got brisket and ribs. Ribs were great oh and fried pickles which were good. Brisket if it was even brisket was horrible. Extremely tough and very cold couldnt even eat it. Fries were very good. 4 meals 4 beers 152.00 and we couldnt even eat it it was so bad. Never again. I remember going there when it was at the other location and he was just starting out food was amazing and owner was so nice gave my daughter who was 3 at the time a popcicle it has certainly gone down hill. if it aint broke don't fix it

It's funny you say things like " that's not our specialty" for all your bad food. Why do you cook it then? Like why serve food that's not good and take peopled money if you don't believe in that product.. crazy in my opinion. Shouldn't all the food your restaurant serves be served with the intention of being good?

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My family and I were just trying to have a nice dinner while visiting Corning, but sadly because of this restaurant we weren’t able to. After being seated for 40 minutes and already placing our orders we never got drinks and the waiter came to inform us that they had no chicken, no ribs, and no cornbread. We decided after waiting 40 minutes and not even getting drinks to leave and eat at the hotel. The restaurant was also dirty and the staff was slow and lazy. 100% do not recommend this place. Very disappointing and frustrating.

I checked their website for business hours and it stated they were open until 9:00 pm Saturday night . I drove 1 hour and fifteen minutes to get there and arrived at 8:16 to be told they were closed , I said their website said they were open until 9 . All I got was an apology . Had they offered me a voucher of some sort , like a complimentary appetizer or drink or even a 10% discount I wouldn't be writing this poor review I am totally reluctant to ever go back to Slammin' & Jammin' although I do plan on visiting Corning again from time to time . If they're going to have a website it is their responsibility to post accurate information . 🤔 The person I spoke to after entering acknowledged that she was indeed aware of this misinformation but didn't know why . Certainly not what I wanted to hear .

Twice this week we ordered and twice you got it all wrong. No sides today, one sandwich totally wrong, no flavor on the pork some salt and pepper would go a long way here. Really not understanding how you can charge what you do and not get it right. Today was the last eqe will give you our money for the food to end up in the trash.

Expensive food for the quantity received. My chicken was dry. The waitress was new, and didn't know the menu at all.

We have been here several times before and never really had an issue. But this time we Came here for dinner waited over 20 minutes for a table for 4 even tho they were not busy and had open tables. (Because the upstairs was closed due to building a pool table or whatever the server said) ( even tho matter is 15 mins before when we were waiting for a table both the servers ran several trays of food upstairs) When we did get seated and ordered drinks server comes over and rather rudely informs us that they are out of all pork products (which is like 85 percent of their menu) . So we decided to tell her we will pay for our drinks and go find another spot to eat. She then proceeded to get arguementive about it (saying she told us this n blah blah blah yet after we sat down) to which we just left as she was still arguing about it.

Not good for burgers. Mine was inedibly salty, and I usually like salty food. I actually could not finish it and you could taste nothing but salt. My fries were way overdone, or old and refried. Either way, I did not eat them. Maybe their BBQ is better, but I will not be getting another burger.

If you enjoy fighting off flies while you try to eat your “BBQ”, this place is for you. Disgusting. Brisket tasted more like roast beef. Fries looked and tasted old. “Sweet corn muffin “ had no flavor. I didn’t eat any of my meal and took the meat home to the dogs. Brought my husband here to celebrate his birthday and it was a huge disappointment. Will never eat here again.

Most disgusting food. Ordered for delivery and my ribs had no meet at all… and the “Texas toast” is literally white bread toasted.. the chicken is so beyond dry any taste like burnt rubber
