Some of the best seafood Ive had in a while. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender and moist inside. Shrimp were large, portions were good size, prices are decent, not cheap, but not overly expensive either as far as seafood goes. I ordered several items since it was my first visit and the restaurant had come highly recommended. I ordered the white fish plate added a side of crawfish etoufee, and the fried alligator appetizer. Also tried the local beer from just down the street. The alligator was seasoned nicely, was large chunks and moist and tender. The side dishes were decent, but the seafood was really what stood out. Service was good, our food came out pretty quick. My total was in the $35 range. About $13 for the meal, $6 on the beer, $5 for the side of etoufee, $8 for the appetizer. But alligator is never cheap, and the etoufee was a special request that the cook made for us. I would highly recommend this place. You can easily get a really good seafood meal for $20 or less if you skip the beer and appetizers. I will be returning again, probably bringing more people with me. Cant believe I've never heard of this place until recently.
Delicious food and superb service! The owners and staff are attentive and friendly. Reasonable prices for outstanding taste and good portions. Shannon, our waitress, obviously cared that our order was perfect. Thank you!
This is more like 4.8 stars, but I'm rounding up. We had lunch and ordered Kids Fried Shrimp, Kids Burger, Fish Sandwich - Grilled, Shrimp Sandwich - Grilled, and a Crawfish Bisque Cup. The fish sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The shrimp sandwich and fried shrimp were excellent. Everything, including the service, was great except... I thought the coleslaw was a little bland.
The Black Diamond Oyster Bar was a pleasant surprise! After a fishing trip, our guide Roger Perez in Corpus recommended it, and I’m glad he did. It’s tucked away off the beaten path in a small, no-frills spot, but don’t let that fool you—the food is excellent, the fish is fresh, and the people are genuinely friendly. Nothing fancy, just good, honest food and atmosphere. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh seafood—you won’t be disappointed.
Oh my gosh! My husband and I celebrated our 26 wedding anniversary and decided we wanted to try something new and different. He surprised me with The Black Diamond Oyster Bar! Absolutely delicious! We had the best Oysters! We also had gator bites! Delicious! We will definitely return! All the girls working are so friendly and sweet.
Delicious sides, especially the vegetables. The fried oysters are okay...a little batter heavy in my opinion but tastes great still. Love the Cole slaw. Service was really friendly and busy restaurant. Really enjoyed it...owner came out to talk to our large group about their shipment and everything. Very local.
Hands down the absolute best fish sandwich ever!! So fresh and good is served hot. Our table had a variety of fish, shrimp, crawfish bisque and gator - all perfection. This is worth the day trip drive from San Antonio for an impromptu lunch or dinner date.
AK is the best waitress. She is on point with service and always in a good mood. Food is excellent as well. Tuna nachos are FIRE!!
A hidden gem on Padre Island just past the bridge. It looks like an old house and has limited seating. However out back is where the fun is. Picnic table seating and a stage fronted by an old pontoon boat, too cool. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We shared a bowl of gumbo arhat was delicious. My wife then had fried shrimp, fries and coleslaw. The shrimp was very lightly breaded and scrumptious. I had a dozen oysters in the half shell. Very fresh and tasty. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out.
We were visiting from out of town and wanted to eat at the restaurant based on all the wonderful reviews. The baked oysters were delicious and so was as the crab stuffed fish. My daughter had a burger off the kids menu and even that was amazing! Really enjoyed the drinks and our server made my daughter feel so special on her birthday!
AMAZING! We had an exceptional experience at Black Diamond. Not only were the oysters fantastic, but the kind, personal service will keep us coming back again & again. Check out their back patio!
It was a day trip to Corpus Christi to visit with our nephew, Luke, who's a student @tamu. Dad's never been so an adventure ahead. We had lunch @blackdiamondoysterbar, established in 1968. We all shared the dozen oysters and gator bites. Luke had the Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Fried Shrimp and Oysters with rice pilaf, salad and a cup of gumbo. Dad and I shared the Crab Stuffed Fish with rice pilaf and a cup of the crawfish bisque. The bisque reminded me of New England clam chowder. We all shared the Key Lime Pie, which was a great ending. Everything was fresh and delicious! Jonathan took good care of us during the entire meal.
Awesome Atmosphere, Food Was Top Tier, And The Server Nico was knowledgeable and attentive and so awesome, she was really great. Im not kidding, the outside or inside experience was amazing and The Chefs were that good.
The restaurant had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and every staff member made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Our server, Grace, went above and beyond with her outstanding service she was quick, attentive, and made our first visit feel extra special. The food was absolutely delicious, and we are so grateful for our sever Grace for her kindness and incredible hospitality.
Oysters were awesome. Staff was awesome and attentive. Highly recommend checking this place out. You won't be disappointed.
Great place to hang out and have a great meal, and listen to some live music on the back patio. Have a drink at the bar or grab a table inside or outside. I tried the gumbo and the boudin balls. Both were very tasty and made fresh in-house. There are lots of options on the menu to try. The gumbo comes in two sizes, and the boudin balls come with 6 to an order.
"Absolutely stellar experience! AK was phenomenal, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. The shrimp and lobster queso was divine, and the fried lobster bites were a delightful surprise. The shrimp, lobster bisque, and every dish we tried were incredibly delicious. Can't wait to return for more!"
YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!! This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host and we were not let down. Your mouth and taste buds will surely thank you for it. We sat at the bar to get fast service and our bartender/servers name was AK she was full of character and seriously cool vibes. Sitting at the bar gave me a close up view of how the kitchen operated. There was a lot of good energy coming from there. The young man on the grill was full of energy and enthusiasm. Everyone treated each other with much respect and care. I admire their working attitudes. Okay now the food!! We started off with some boudin balls. Ms.Ak informed me they were authentic from Louisiana which I was delighted to hear. First time trying boudin and it was so delicious and full of flavor. It came served with a creamy gravy sauce I’m not really sure but it was super good. Next I ordered half a dozen of Roberts oysters. I’m new to oysters so I don’t have much to say on how those tasted other than decent. The gentleman sitting next to me who was fairly known in the restaurant offered me and my wife to try one of his oysters. It was the New Orleans oysters and those were certainly made with the finest ingredients and quality. For my main course I ordered the fish stuffed with blue crab, served with fries and pilaf rice that was a real treat. I’m certainly wanting to come back here to try the rest of the menu.
Sat out back where they had picnic tables and a little outdoor bar. Great service! Shrimp was delicious! Came back a second time 1-2024. Had the Crawfish bisque which was perfectly creamy and absolutely delicious. We all tried something different... None disappointed. Great place. Highly recommend
This is the first place we ate on our visit to Corpus Christi and we were all very pleased. The restaurant has a small indoor seating area but was clean and agreeable. The staff was friendly, quick service and Lauren, our server, was awesome. Now on to the food... oh the food. The food was fresh, hot, and so satisfying we were planning a return visit to try more food before we could get up from the table.
We had an amazing experience with the incredibly fresh food and welcoming environment right at the front steps! They have some great oysters fresh to baked! The kids menu had some seafood on it. We chose to get steak fingers and fries for my little one (it came out a huge portion!). This is a small family owned restaurant where everything is FRESH. Local produce from the fishermen around Corpus. For dessert we had the brown special!! DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back! Great selection of liquor and beer too!
Black Diamond Oyster 🦪 Bar is the best seafood restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas. Everything is home made and absolutely delicious. If your really lucky you will get Shelby as your waitress she is awesome
It was my first time visiting Black Diamond. Just having a little Tuesday night out with my sister, Lauren didn't disappoint!! She was super knowledgeable and friendly! Plus she makes a wonderful cocktail. Definitely will be back!
This diner is very small with not much seating however this may be its only con. Everything our table of 4 ordered was excellent. Fresh, hot and great tasting. The oysters are huge and fresh. The fish was so tender and delicious. The chicken fried chicken was a very large portion fried to perfection and served with gravy. No frozen fries here, Only freshly peeled potatoes. The drinks were served in very large cups but our waitress A.K. brought us a second cup when they got low. There is some outside seating depending on the weather. We were in and out in pretty quick. We definitely recommend giving this place a try. Their menu isn’t huge so they have perfected what they do offer.
Nico was such a delight of a server. She was attentive and friendly and made our experience great! Food was awesome and would recommend this place for amazing atmosphere and service!
First time here and Hannah was a great server and a great conversationalist. AK is a great manager and really brings the vibe to the restaurant, and Nico was incredibly nice and always made our comfortability a priority.
The black diamond oyster bar had some really fresh sea food! The food and customer service were both really great! We ordered their half dozen oysters and some ahi tuna. It was good. Everything was very delicious! For our tuna, we got fries and gumbo as our sides. The gumbo was phenomenal!
Got the shrimp and crab queso. It was good. Would have liked more Pico de Gallo on it, but the flavor was great. Hubby got the oysters on the half shell. Good flavor and size. Our bartender Wyatt was very friendly and did a great job making us feel at home. Thank you, Wyatt, for your great service. AK47 was so awesome. Thanks for laughing and joking with us AK47. They have outdoor seating and live music on the weekends.
Super quaint little dive. They have a small bar with beer on tap. Don’t tell my Grandma who is from Louisiana but the gumbo was the best I’ve ever had. The oysters were so fresh. It was nice to sit at the bar and watch all the food go out. Very laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Been to BDOB quite a few times since it moved to Flour Bluff. Honestly, probably only went to the original location once or twice! When an establisment has been open for over 50 years, they obviously have it figgered out! I'm a Port A native... Yeah, a REAL ONE, not a wannabe Islander! That said, I know seafood well! My Daddy founded, owned and operated Woody's in Port A. I was not a natural born oyster eater. One day when I was around 7 or 8, he was shucking big ol oysters on Woody's front porch. "Come'ere boy, no son of mine is NOT gonna eat oysters!" He shucked a YOOGE one, then cut it in half(GROSS!), and handed it to me! I reluctantly took it and chewed and chewed.. it kept getting bigger and bigger! Ultimately, I spit it out on the ground, only to be hammered by Daddy! "ARRRRGH, he said, you're no son of mine and chuckled!" Other than my Mom's oyster stew and her fried ones, I never ate another raw Loogie until I was about 23..in Dallas of all places! Sorry for the long story, but that will set the stage for our oyster experience at BDOB. We ordered the appetizer, Baked Trio, but modified it into a DUO, with the Oyster New Orleans and the Rockefeller! WOW, they were so good, and since it was kinda sorta my GF's belated BD dinner and she was craving baked oysters, THEY REALLY HIT OUR (HER!) MARK! We decided to split one entree with the DUO acting as an entree. I ordered the Garlic Parmesan Gulf Snapper with alfredo and blackened shrimp! I have literally eaten fresh fish from all over the globe, but when push comes to shove, I will pick a fat filet of Gulf Red Snapper over just about any fish! Let me emphasize "Gulf Red Snapper"! Never ever let someone try to serve you Pacific Red Snapper, because it's actually one of those "new basketball" orange rockfish that the People's Republic of California officially renamed for marketing purposes! Pretty sure Hardhead would be better! The snapper was a huge, thick filet and the dish was AMAZING! Opted for the pilaf and sauteed veggies as sides. The pilaf was perfect for soppin' up that yummeee Alfredo! The new location is everything but fancy or bougee, but you will definitely get great seafood and great service. Our cute little Ginger UCLA(University of Corpus, Left on Ayers!)student never let us want for anything, because she had it all covered! Thank you to her and BDOB! We did miss Mo/John the "HEARD" Guy, however! GO HERE!!!!!
Hell yeah! At first I was like where the hell is this place and where are we at? Trust me, the service, THE FOOOD, the wonderful staff is worth the drive. Easily one of my favorite restaurants along the coast. 10 out of 10. Destination Food Site! Must have! Tom the owner made us feel like family! I’m definitely coming back!!!
Dive bar feel, great staff, fast service, amazing food. Fried gator bites on point. Fried mushrooms great size for easy eating. Had a blackened drum qith crawfish etoufee sauce. Fresh delicious oysters. Gumbo authentic and great. Phenomenal. Highly recommend. Kid friendly. Bringing ours to have the experience soon.
We stayed in Corpus Christi for 4 days and ate here for 3 of them! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! We loved the food the staff, the locals. The oysters are also the cheapest in price in Corpus Christi and are amazing. We are going back when we return to enjoy live music too!
We got here just in time.. No line to wait. Special was drum fish with a ponchatrain sauce with steamed veggies and a salad. I Enjoyed every morsel. Table mates had fried fish, shrimp, and the biggest hamburger I've seen with 8 ounces of Angus beef. Staff was very attentive. Seating inside or outside. Recommend.!
This tucked a way seafood place is great. They have fresh seafood grilled or fried. The oyster trio was full flavored and on point. The fried fish and shrimp had just enough batter to make it crispy and not overwhelming. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauce I could’ve ate with a spoon it was so good. Customer service was exceptional. You will not go wrong with anything on the menu.
Food is delicious! There was a 30 min wait but we grabbed some beers at the bar. Not a very large restaurant. Server AK was awesome she was very attentive. Oysters were so fresh and tasty. Red drum was awesome! Scallops were great! No complaints about food. Just be patient with parking.
Indoor and outdoor seating as well as bar available. Very nice and friendly service. I had their Cat 5 Hurricane, and it was delicious. My husband said their Tito's and tonic was well made. We had the oyster trio for an appetizer and enjoyed each different one. I had the crawfish bisque, and my husband had their gumbo. Both soups wete delicious. I had their whitefish blackened, and my husband had their fish blackened with grilled shrimp. Both were delicious. We will go back.
I can't tell you how impressed I am with this place. Great atmosphere, and the food was great. I had several huge oysters I had to cut in half so each half would fit on a cracker. The gumbo was so good too. What I'm impressed with the most is the staff. They all worked hard and supported each other well. I didn't see one employee on their phone the entire time I was there. Super friendly to all the customers
Best place to eat in Texas!!! Been eating here as long as we have lived in Texas. Drum specials, tuna nachos, outdoor dining, dog friendly…. Best hidden Gem on the coast!! Come see Yvonne, she will take good care of you!!
AK is the best! We love the food and the service. We had the sweet chili panko shrimp, chicken fried steak, Oso Bay martini, and hush puppies. All delicious!
We LOVE this restaurant! The food is always great but the service is what keeps us coming back time and time again. We’d follow Amanda (AK) anywhere; she’s the absolute best ❤️
The food here is amazing!! Eat here if you are thinking about it! The Ahi Tuna Burger with a fried egg was DELICIOUS! The fries are getting than 5guys! I highly recommend. All the food was off the charts and the costumer service was excellent. We were greeted once we walked in and everyone was very nice. The restaurant was very clean as well. You can eat inside or outside. The outside has heat lamps.
Omg are you kiddddddinggggg meee? Every single thing we had was so incredible from the iced tea to the Tuna nachos to the oysters to the apple cobbler!! The crawfish bisque is something I might actually take a bullet for. So amazing. And the fries and the drinks. Just wow. Will definitely be back!!
The seafood gumbo was loaded with seafood and spicy- super delicious! I had the Fish and shrimp dinner blackened and it just melted in my mouth it was so good. The staff were all super nice and everyone helps each other so you’re taken care of. The atmosphere was super casual and comfortable- feels local and welcoming .
Sandra was amazing! Friendly service, nice, and knowledgeable. We had the new Orleans style oysters. Very good! The gumbo was great, had a kick but not too spicy. We had fried fish, shrimp, oysters as well. All wonderful. The homemade dessert and pineapple jalapeño marg was equally as yummy! Will definitely return.
Black diamond has been our go to spot for the last year, we always have great service and every meal has been great! The service has always been fast, even when they are busy. We usually get served by Yvonne, AK & Sandra, they are very friendly and know the menu front and back. I work at a local brewery and recommend Black Diamond to anyone who is passing through looking for good food. I’ve never been disappointed in a meal or cocktail. Definitely ask about the daily food & drink specials!
We love it here ! The staff is amazing ! We always have great service and fun times .Food is on point ! Jp and his delicious sauces on their daily specials. Libby was on top of her game at the bar! Ak is has the best personality makes it fun to hang out . Lauren is is our favorite Tuesday Bartender here ! Totally recommend Black Diamond !!
First timers here! It will not be our last time. We had fish, grilled and fries shipment, the New Orleans baked oysters and chicken fried steak. My husband also had gumbo. Every thing was absolutely AMAZING!! The drive from San Antonio is so worth it. Everyone needs to visit this restaurant. You will not be disappointed
We had a wonderful experience at Black Diamond in Corpus Christi. The food was excellent, fresh, and beautifully prepared — everything we ordered was delicious. What truly made the evening special, though, was our server Hanna. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Her recommendations were spot-on, timing was perfect, and she made us feel very well taken care of without being intrusive. You can tell she really cares about providing great service. The atmosphere was great, the service was outstanding, and the overall experience was exactly what you hope for in a nice dinner out. We’ll definitely be coming back — and hoping to sit in Hanna’s section again!
We had a little trouble finding it at first, because Waze tried to take us to the wrong building at first, but we managed to find it…. And boy am I glad we did. To start, I am not an oyster person myself. My husband is the one who loves oysters. I decided to try one of the specials and am so happy with my choice. The boudin balls were PERFECT!! My coconut shrimp was as well. My husband, who is a very picky eater, ate almost everything on his plate so we didn’t have any leftovers to take back to the room with us. Awesome choice!
Everything was exquisite. The service from Shelby, Hannah, Charity, Yvonne, AK, Alyssa, and Libby was top notch. They all made me feel like I was family while I was dining in. Fantastic people all of them, Libby is hilarious. Everyone in the kitchen knocked it out of the park as well! Johnny, Aiden, Derrick, Mike, and JP delivered up a meal to remember. It was some of the best seafood I've ever had. Absolutely the best seafood restaurant in Corpus Christi. Thank y'all so much for a great time and even better food.
Local vibe, superior service and even better food! Awesome outdoor dining with live music and friendly pricing. Let Yvonne take care of you on the patio. Perfect setting for date night or post fishing trip meal and relaxation! 👍🏻👍🏻
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and dinner at the Black Diamond Oyster Bar!! The trio platter of oysters was EXCEPTIONALLY good! The bonus was the kitchen manager (JP) coming out to explain what made each selection unique and what types of flavors to expect. We also enjoyed the grilled shrimp & fried oyster platter along with blackened snapper. A GREAT experience all the way around!!
1st off, ALL the staff are super friendly and on the ball. I'm giving them 5 stars for service. The atmosphere is a super laid back, real oyster bar, local family feel. It's not a modern place trying to feel local- it's the really deal. So 4 stars for atmosphere. We ordered the shrimp and oysters. The food tasted fresh and flavorful. It had light crispy breading, just enough to make it yummy and not too much to take away from the natural flavors
Food was delicious, and it was hard to decide what to eat for our short trip. We did sit in the back and arrived right before the afternoon rush, so after receiving our food we did get a little forgotten on refills but we manged to finish about the same time as our food, almost. Just got to say the sweet tea was delicious and was happy to get a to go refill, thank you!

Star star service, excellent food in a non pretentious environment. Fabulous outing in a fun-filled environment. Easy to see why the ratings on this place are so high
It's good. However, quality not consistent. Sometimes it's great and others times it's decent but not worth the hike if your vacationing on the island. That being said, if you wish to avoid the long waits at Docs, etc, this is a great option.
It's a good place where you can eat fresh fish. They have seat at the bar, outside or inside (not many seats available inside). The food was good but nothing exceptional. We waited a long to get the main order (but the restaurant was busy). Honestly I expected much more. Ah I just want to add that they don't make the Crawfish boil anymore (I initially went there just for that).
The food was delicious. We had oyster Rockefeller, fried mushrooms, gator bites and fried fish plate. The fries are homemade not from a bag. There was only one waitress for the whole place but she was moving quick to get everyone's orders and drinks. We really enjoyed our time at Black diamond oyster bar.
Food was great and our waiter was amazing he was very helpful with the menu! But they had no oysters due to hurricane Ida messing up there shipment which is understandable but was bummed since that was the only reason we chose to try this restaurant out since we heard they were known for the best oysters Maybe next time Our other entrée were served nice and hot
Tuna burger was great! Service was quick enough and the selection of food and drink was good. I wasn’t as fond of the French fries though, as to me they were undercooked and too potato-y. Don’t let that stop you from coming here though! The mains were good enough and the staff was friendly.
I fall a bit short of my fellow Google Map raters, and I rate Black Diamond a solid 4-star establishment. There were things worthy of a 5-star mark, other items were more on the order of a 3-star rating. We had a few drinks (Cat 5 Hurricane, Peppermint Bark, Tanqueray/Tonic), all were good! Let me start by briefly stating that "AK" was our waitress... she was awesome... walked us through the menu, explained lots, and answered all questions... as the place got busier while we were there, she still stopped by an often! 5-Star service... attentive, but not intrusive ... thanks AK!!! General observation about the place... Food service... everything came out of the kitchen HOT (temperature), a few dishes so hot we had to let them cool off before enjoying them! Lots of locals eating there (speaks volumes), including many "Winter" Texans. Great conversations with the locals! We opted to start with oysters... some of the half-shell variety and then the oyster-trio. The half-shell oysters were "da bomb" ... plump and juicy, with horseradish and cocktail sauce on the side (we were yearning for a mignonette sauce, but no luck). The baked oyster trio was a bit out of our "what we like" zone... a dozen oysters fixed Roberts-style (cocktail sauce, jalapenos, cheddar cheese), Rockefeller-style (cream cheese, spinach, bacon, Swiss cheese), and New Orleans-style (white wine, butter, garlic, parmesan). Our fav was probably the "Nawlins-style, which were very good. Between the fried goodies and the entree, we sampled a cup of the house gumbo, a bit "fishy" for our palates... when we make gumbo, it never includes fish, usually shrimp or chicken/duck with andouille sausage. The gumbo was good, just not our preference. And in Port A/Corpus Christi, why not enjoy some fried food, right...? The next food salvo consisted of fried oysters and fried mushrooms. Fried oysters were tasty, but a but limp. The fried mushrooms were on point, exactly what anyone would want... piping hot! Deelish! One note about the batter on both the oysters and the mushrooms, it was a bit salty, remedied by removing some of the batter and dunking in ketchup! LOL We split the one of the daily specials as an entree ... the blackened mahi-mahi topped with crab and "crawtails." Very tasty fish, but the blackened seasoning was very overpowering, a bit too much. We scraped some of the seasoning off, and the fish was very good. The side of grilled veggies was great! So, a solid 4-star place, with outstanding oysters. We'd likely go back to Black Diamond just to eat the oysters on the 1/2 shell, they were some of the best we've had in a long time. Shucked and served ice-cold... YUM! Recommend Black Diamond next time you're in the neighborhood!
The place is a nice little hole in the wall. Rustic with a great atmosphere. The people were awesome. Friendly, tentative, and a good mix of people. The food however, wasn't the best. We had the raw oysters, which was great, the chips and salsa mix was pretty good, and alittle bit of spice. The shrimp turned out excellent. But the fish was alot of disappointment. It was very watery and not seasoned at all. The kids' burgers were tiny, burnt, and not tasty. So far as a place to grab a bite, its great. So far as wanting great seafood, not the best place to go.
The food was good. The service needs to improve a little bit. The bartender she was okay. But while taking the order she doesn't confirm the order again and even the ordering didn't complete, she is going to take care of another customer. It's okay if she is in a hurry, but not to neglect the customer. A guy was a guy working in a restaurant named David. He was not even standing for a second. He is continuously working on something. The bartender also working hard, but a little more attention is required while taking orders. Thanks for accommodating us. Will see you guys again. Good luck.
Looks can be deceiving but don’t pass on this place. Service was very welcoming and we were seated right when we walked in. Our server was extremely helpful. They offer local brewed beers as well as specialty drinks. Breakdown of food: shrimp and crab queso was 3 stars. It had 3/4 whole (not cut shrimp) and possibly container crab (not fake but not sure if if was fresh) the queso was like melted velvets nothing special. 1/2 dozen oysters half shell (raw) very very good and great size: 4 stars 1/2 Rockefeller oysters they were freaks great size think they used cream cheese and not enough spinach but all around decent: 3 stars Special of day shrimp tacos fried. Very fresh very flavorful. The sauce was nice sweet added contrast to the taco itself. I would order these again. 4 stars Overall this was a pleasant place to eat and all around good food. You’ll get moneys worth and be satisfied if you choose this establishment.
A great little place to enjoy a oyster sandwich on a sourdough bun and hand cut fries with homemade tarter sauce. The service was great too! I will have to return to try something else on the menu. Update on September 30, 2022 we tried this place again. We asked for outside seating, they sat us at the bar saying they had no table seats available. However it was visible that there were at least two tables. The bartender was gave great service! I didn’t like the special, spicy shrimp (6) with two sides. The shrimp were small and not spicy! The we ordered the trio oysters platter. Be aware there is no price. It was a dozen of oysters fixed three ways, Rockefeller, Roberts and New Orleans. They were great tasting but very little oysters and we paid over $30 for them. We will definitely not order that again if we decide to try the place again. I will recommend the lemon drop shot. It was not tart, but tasted like a lemon drop in your mouth after the first layer is gone.
Smaller and a bit noisy restaurant with excellent service and very good food and decent prices - we know why a local recommended it to us! The crab-stuffed fish I had was prepared well, my wife enjoyed her seared ahi tuna salad, and our guests said their grilled fish and the fried shrimp were both done right. House salads were fresh and the rice pilaf was prepared correctly in terms of not being dry although it wasn't very flavorful. We all enjoyed the hush puppies as an appetizer noting their flavor and texture were both just right. All the staff seemed very friendly and our waitress was excellent. A good stop we'll revisit to try other things on the menu that sounded tasty.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great place to hang out and chill. Great atmosphere, very welcoming service! But for the food, I think they can do much better. For oyster, it is okay and eatable, but it is nowhere new orleans chargrill boiled that kind of stuff. For fish, they use swai. I would rather they charge more instead of using swai! It is trash. Would come back for beer, but beer only.

Good catfish, but the meal was ruined by a very loud and rude waitress - could not have a conversation due to the loud obnoxious waitress - ruined the experience. Waitress should be fired.

I’d love to give this place five stars but I don’t get the hype. First off, the staff is rude - except for one of the staff members who we loved (sat next to us at the bar after her shift and was so friendly!) We got on the waitlist at about 7:15 and didn’t get seated till 8:10. We saw people behind us get seated pretty quickly. Apparently the restaurant is known for its oysters but they are nothing to brag about and are extremely overpriced. However the blackened and fried fish were extremely well cooked. Would have given this four stars if the staff was more welcoming and the wait wasn’t so long.
The waitress was great. And for being right on the water I expected everthing to just be delicious but the food wasn't any better than here in Cedar Park. The fish was over cooked a bit and I had the blackened special which left a little to be desired. I also ordered the fried jumbo shrimp and oysters that were'nt quite right. The gumbo was tomatoe based. I decided to visit because of the 5 star review but left feeling like I ate @ a 3 star restaurant.
My meal was the Seafood Gumbo & Seared Ahi Tuna, Gumbo is good, little spicy, I like spicy. My husband’s dinner however, was disappointing. They forgot to bring his salad before his meal, he had to ask for it after they brought it his meal. He ordered the Special, Red Snapper/crawfish sauce & a side of rice pilaf. The fish was overcooked. The sauce & the rice both tasted very bland. They did bring a slice of their Key lime pie for the delay of serving the salad. Maybe if his food was better, the ⭐️ ratings would have been higher. Easy to find, clean & Staff very Friendly. We love to try local Restaurants instead of Chain Restaurants no matter where we go.
Nice patio (with music) and very friendly staff, but food is just ok. Actually surprised by the high reviews. Salad was just iceberg lettuce and shrimp tasted like cleaning solution (like they were…
This place was okay. We are visiting Corpus and were excited to try this place after a friend recommended it. We arrived and were seated immediately which was good. As soon as we sat down our server came right over and asked for our drink order and we had to order right on the spot without really looking at the menu. We then ordered the New Orleans oysters and they were good. After the oysters we ordered our entrees. I ordered the spicy panko shrimp and my boyfriend tried ordering the stuffed flounder which we saw how people raved about it on the reviews. The flounder was not clearly listed on the menu so he asked the server about the crab stuffed fish and the server wasn’t able to tell him clearly what type of fish it was. My boyfriend went ahead and ordered the crab stuffed fish. The food came out pretty quickly but when we got it we noticed that some of the sides were incorrect and my boyfriend’s fish was not stuffed with anything, it just had some shrimp at the top. We did not feel like dealing with sending the food back so we just ate it. My shrimp weren’t spicy and honestly were a bit salty. Fries were soggy. The food and the service were honestly mediocre at best. Overall disappointed.
This place is no more than 2 out of 5 stars for me.😔 I had high hopes for the crawfish bisque, but unfortunately, it lacked salt and seasoning — it tasted bland. My husband felt the same way. The shrimp we ordered were overcooked and a bit tough. We got 8 small shrimp for $19, which felt overpriced. The oysters were quite good, but honestly, I’m not sure it’s even possible to mess up raw oysters. The place was pretty crowded — I guess the locals enjoy it. Maybe they just haven’t had anything better to compare it to? The waitress who served us forgot to bring water for our dog, even though we specifically asked. That was disappointing.😢😢😢
It stopped before it started. They were very rude at the hostess station. After telling them we would like to wait for table inside, we were told that we would have wait in our car because they d…
Food was not fully cooked . Shrimp was still frozen over priced on half shell oysters waitress was ok. Not Recommend at all ... No where near a good recommendation to eat
