Cool place! 😎 It's like a baby Buc-ee's! Clean bathrooms, lots of gift items, and lots of food items. Bathroom sign cracked me up! (Picture posted) 😅 Saw cute tumblers, pretty leather bible covers, caps, t-shirts, cool looking pocket knives, boiled peanuts, fried pies, exotic jerky like kangaroo, alligator, ostrich, snake. I bought a little key chain la boo boo for $12. The only thing that I didn't like is that most items didn't have a price on them. Other than that, was great. Clean...and I mean CLEAN. I was tripping over a worker in every aisle that was mopping or sweeping. 😆 I must have come during cleaning hour.

This place started very good and the food is nice but the problem is costumer service,they have a whole bunch of young girls there they have no clue what costumer service is at least make them go through a costumer service course please,they can be rude sometimes lest he is very easy a smile smile is good to me I don’t want to flirt or anything like that but be sweet and nice that’s what customer service is about,the other thing is the high price almost everything has among the highest I’ve seen man wow!! Listen my had is small and this Donias’s deli sandwich is 4 dollars Jesus!!

Literally the best truck stop I’ve been to. Very clean, the food was good , better than the big chain restaurants truck stops usually have. We like moist brisket than lean so that’s why I have to give a 4. And they didn’t have anymore ribs. The chicken was really good. Hopefully we can stop through again! Truckers need to do better! You have a nice clean place to park and you can’t even pick up your dog poop! Or you pour pee outside your door! This is the reason everyone is making us pay for spots! Yall do this out here, I imagine how your trucks look on the inside and your place of residence is probably unlivable smh The bathrooms were really clean too and the sign is so hilarious! Men left because women are always right! lol thank you guys!!

Chris took my order and was nice, but the brisket was disappointing - dry and still hard like scraped from a burnt pan, and I paid $49 for it. When I went back to address the issue, Karla handled it poorly and pulled up the wrong receipt, claiming I paid with Cash App (I use Visa and Chase Bank). Luckily, Nadina, the manager, stepped in and made it right, offering fresh food and a warm apology. As a former General Manager with 21 years of experience in food service, I know how to handle employees and give great customer service. Karla could learn from Nadine's example💯. Be cautious when handling transactions and receipts - make sure to respect customers' info and use the correct transaction numbers, Karla. Thanks, Nadina, for saving the day! The date I stopped back by to address this was 03/09/2026 3:25 pm 5🌟 for the food today.

This truck stop has a lot of options but zero prices. I personally hate that cause I'm not trying to get ambushed with predatory pricing. They have some exotic jerky and normal jerky. There is a chicken express, bbq, pizza, fried apple pies company inside. It is okay place to stop during the day but at night there is no parking and no food.

Nice store. Unfortunately they decided to clean the women's bathroom around 3, and the line to the single bathroom (family) was ridiculously long. We were there for about 15 mins waiting in line to use the bathroom. Other than that, the store seemed clean.

This was a quick stop on the way back home (to Galveston) from Dallas during Thanksgiving. Because it was on a Sunday after turkey day, I won't judge the line/wait as everyone and their moms were driving home. But because it was just a stop during a road trip, I was extra sad when the caramel pecan popcorn was super stale. (Not pictured) I got the regular caramel corn and it was okay. The flavor wasn't spectacular but at least it wasn't stale. The store was nice and festive and there's lots to choose from! We don't usually look through the knickknacks but they had lots of choices with lots of different themes and that was fun. The women's bathroom needed cleaning but again, it was a hugh traffic day so I can't speak for their normal cleanliness. If you're stopping for jerky, drinks, or Chicken Express, it's worth the stop and probably fun for a family. Be warned about the popcorn and the "heat-lamp" burritos as they are not worth the money. (And if you're traveling, turning around for a refund isn't an option)

With a name like Texas Best smokehouse one would think the food would be good, it's not. My wife and I both has pulled pork sandwiches with mac n cheese and a drink. $37, so I'm thinking the food would be great, it's not. Both sandwiches and the mac n cheese were dry, no flavor what so ever, and that was with added bbq sauce. I will never eat there again

I'm actually quite disappointed for my first time here... The staff were not helpful, when I said I was here for the first time, and asked what was really good. They told me just to get a meal... without suggesting anything specific. And then when I ask for no pennies, they put all of my leftover bills into the tip jar without asking. The rib sandwich was burnt old and dry. DOA. The buns were solid. Like they've been left out all day . The rice was stale an old, the mac and cheese was edible at least. The bacon wrapped jalapeno was too expensive. The brisket sandwich was decent though. I would not return if I knew this is what I would get again. I also had to add my own barbecue sauce... Nice store though, outside of the uncleaned washrooms.

There are a bunch of kids working here no supervisors or managers! I wanted a team shower they dont allow that its not posted anywhere and I can understand why.... I agree to paying for an additional shower out of pocket no shower credit then the employee gives the extra shower I paid for away.. horrible service 😑

I was really disappointed with this visit the loaded baked potato that I got had really dry and crunchy brisket on top it was not edible. The service was like mehr too. The only good thing was the Texas twinkies. They also never stay open until 10:30 like advertised. Came by at 930 on many occasions just to find them already closed. Not impressed with this location....

I'm a trucker and came here before for barbecue ribs and they were okay, today I come back and ordered half a slab, went to truck and tasted the ribs and they were horrible, they were raw and nasty , I had to spit it out what I tasted. Went back inside and told server and he said they are just tender like I'm dumb and don't know the difference between cooked and undercooked meat... The manager working this evening shift said she checked it, so she's serving undercooked raw ribs .. I got a complete refund and will not buy their ribs again! Check your food y'all because they must not be using thermometer to check for doneness... A disgrace to all texas barbecue places
