We were headed home to Arkington, Texas and were looking for somewhere unique to eat and wet our whistle and we found it here! It was absolutely delicious! The mimosa flight was spot on and the pumpkin waffles and chicken was amazing! We will be back, just wish it was closer to our home. 😀 5 out of 5 for sure! The atmosphere was relaxing, educational, and fun all at the same time.
Atmosphere inside and outside was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was presented beautifully. I had the shrimp baja tacos which were decent but the slaw was dry and there wasn't enough baja sauce to help so it was pretty dry. It either needed less slaw or more sauce. Prices were pretty high, roughly 16+ a plate for most meals.
Great food and great service. This place offers a unique dining experience. The menu has plenty of delicious options to choose from. I would suggest the brisket queso and chicken fettuccine alfredo. Lots of seating with fun plants and hanging lights inside and live music on the weekends. You gotta check this place out!
What a great find! The ambiance and decor were very welcoming. Space inside and outside available. I appreciate that the live music inside was a low volume so we could still converse during dinner. Wedge salad 5/5! Perfection. Croquettes 4/5. Great flavors but a little dry on the inside. Pasta Bolognese 5/5. Lots of meat and cheese. Good portion. Ribeye 5/5 perfectly cooked full of flavor. Baked potatoes 5/5 the perfect baked potato does exist. Sirloin 5/5. It arrived medium even though we asked for medium rare. Sent it back and the second steak was AMAZING. Perfectly cooked. Great service and great management. Will come back often anytime we’re up at Cedar Creek
We were in the area for the weekend and decided to check out The Whistlestop brunch. We had the country fried ribeye and chicken&waffles and we LOVED IT. And that sausage gravy was delicious 😋 Excellent customer service and I enjoyed the inside decor.
My husband and I recently visited Whistle Stop, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at ease—the atmosphere was not only warm and friendly but also had a noticeable sense of safety that’s hard to come by in many places these days. One of the standout things about Whistle Stop is how it perfectly balances that classic southern charm with a level of sophistication you rarely find in the area. It’s not just a place to eat—it’s an experience. The attention to detail, from the décor to the service, made it feel like we’d stepped into a little southern oasis, where everything just felt right. Whether you’re visiting for a relaxing date night, like we were, or just looking for somewhere that delivers great food and a cozy yet refined vibe, Whistle Stop truly hits the mark. We left feeling happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend!
On Mother’s Day I was able to experience the excellent food, hospitality, and atmosphere at the Whistlestop. Holly and Liz prepared awesome drinks. My mimosa was perfect. Each dish in the photos below was well prepared by the chef and plated beautifully. Well done, Whistlestop!
Amazing food! Ate here with a group of friends for lunch and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
We celebrated my birthday last night at my favorite restaurant. As always everything was delicious. The atmosphere, service and genuine love was received. The entertainment was perfect. See you soon Whistlestop. I appreciate y'all!!!
Whistle Stop is a delightful restaurant that consistently delivers delicious food. Whether for brunch or dinner, my experiences there have always been fantastic. Caleb, in particular, stands out as an exceptionally attentive server and bartender. Even when Taylor isn't directly serving me, her warm and welcoming smile makes every visit pleasant. For anyone seeking a great meal and wonderful staff, I highly recommend Whistle Stop.
We just moved to town and we’ve been trying all of the local restaurants. Our experience at Whistlestop was, by far, the best experience we’ve had so far. The service was top notch. Coursed perfectly. We were able to enjoy our appetizers, salads, dinner, and then desserts without feeling rushed but without waiting too long. This just became our go to spot.
My 3rd time going to this beautiful restaurant and the food didnt disappoint. I attended ladies night and got to indulge in their special menu they had only for the night and the ravioli did not disappoint. Drinks on point 👉

Girl's weekend dinner night out and this place was fantastic! we enjoyed live music, cocktails and amazing food! the service was warm and friendly and several of the girls mentioned wanting to return with their families! Couldn't recommend this place more for a proper night out!
Met with a group of friends at Whistlestop. The atmosphere was awesome, as the decor was country, but chic. I ordered the citrus tacos, which were delicious! For the group, we ordered the queso and chips. Wow! They were great. There was only one server present, and she did great! I highly recommend trying Whistlestop in Trinidad, Texas!
Went last night for their $16 theme night The theme menu was Asian but they still offer their regular menu also. $16 for a nice meal and a salad is a pretty good deal in this day and age. The food was prepared excellent. I have yet to have a less than good to excellent meal there. To top it off they had live music there at 6 PM. Perfect for us old folks. Just a solo guitarist playing background music. It was really nice! They have a great atmosphere in an old building with a beautiful courtyard out front. If you haven’t tried this place yet I highly recommend you do so.
We found this restaurant while driving through Texas and now it’s a destination we will add if possible to every trip. Lizzie was our server and was super sweet, she provided a detailed description of the menu items and noted which were the most popular. We started with the Honey Sriracha Brussels appetizer and wasn’t disappointed. Portion was large enough for both of us to share and these were by far the best we’ve ever had. My wife and I both ordered their Fried Green Tomato BLT. New twist on a great sandwich which you could tell every ingredient was homemade and prepared to perfection. Chef Tori came to our table to receive well deserved praises on one of the best lunches we’ve had in years. The desert menu included homemade ice cream and Pies. We could not decide so we had the ice cream there (just like grandma used to make) and took a maple cheesecake and key lime pie to go (ate them as soon as we made it back to San Antonio). We will definitely add this stop when in the area.

I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much, nor when I felt so well attended-to by a staff. The atmosphere is chic and cozy, a rare combination, and the staff are all friendly. Our server, Katie, was kind and engaging, and such a great advocate for us and our needs. The food was all excellent from start to finish—from the rolls, the appetizer, the craft cocktails, and the entrees, all of it. The kitchen had run out of chicken, which was a bummer, but it ultimately didn’t matter. The food was exceptional enough to be delicious on its own and without the protein. I’m not local, but I will make a point to return here again. Thank you for having us!
First time visiting. We started with the fried green tomatoes (of course!) The BEST I've ever had! I got the chicken fried chicken, golden mashed potatoes and garlic green beans with almonds. The chicken was AMAZING - the breading was crispy and delicious, the green beans tender and yummy, just a bit too salty. Hubby got the stroganoff with cajun chicken. He said it was delicious! And the side salad was what a sald should be - lots of leafy greens and loaded with all the goodness. I tried the blueberry margarita - was not a fan. A bit pricey but a nice treat. Great ambiance -inside and out.
Spinach artichoke dip was tasty. My husband loved the Ruben sandwich and the jalapeño ranch water. The apple car salad was also delicious. I had the lavender lemon spritzer and it was mediocre. The food was pretty good overall, I wouldn’t say it was outstanding. It seemed a little overpriced. Our waitress, Brooklyn, was awesome and the atmosphere was really cool. We would come back to try more menu items.

Love the ambience here! We got to sit outside for a beautiful evening last night. Drinks were good, but food was mediocre unfortunately. Quinoa had zero flavor and same for the risotto which was also very mushy. Broccolini was cold and the flounder was ok. The kids chicken tenders were spicy! Our daughter couldn’t eat them. I tasted them and seemed they had cayenne pepper in the batter? I did mention this one to our server in hopes this can be modified for the kids menu. Our server was very kind, but service was slow for not a full restaurant. This was our first visit and do plan to try it out again.

You walk in and want to love the place, the atmosphere is definitely inviting. Service was fast and friendly, but food was maybe Golden Corral quality.. maybe. Chicken fried steak was so salty it was unedible, Salmon was fishy and overcooked, pork chops were overcooked/dry we're ok covered in hot sauce, surf and turf 100 dollars by itself while meat was great quality and cooked properly, it was supposed to be 8oz saying it was 6oz would be generous looked like 4 to me We spent $400 and won't be back. This is truly one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time, oh but the queso with brisket was good. So if you want to drink a beer and eat an appetizer and enjoy a good atmosphere with good service this place would be okay. If you want a good meal go somewhere else you will be disappointed in their kitchen staff.
