Our server Nick was great. Very friendly, attentive and nice. Our order was wrong, but he was nice about it and seemed like a kitchen mistake . Food was good and he was good about soft drink refills.

Who would have thought! Applebee’s here, just a few minutes of home. My wife and I had moved from Northwest California and never thought to find such a nice place to dine here in the area. At first, when we entered the door, gentle workers welcome us, we thought that we were in another nicer City where we used to go to Applebee’s more frequently, but no; surprise, it is here and the quality of food is excellent, the personal so nice, the local is so neat, and the atmosphere so welcoming. Congratulations AB, at the end of dinner we found out that the local had been just remodeled. God Job!

Applebee's is a great local venue that joins up to do fundraisers with local groups. The staff is professional and efficient. I appreciate partnering with Applebee's!

Haven't visited an Applebee's Restaurant in a long time... I had a gift certificate for $25 so I gave it a shot. I was a little thrown off by how dark the table I was seated at was so I asked to move, and there was no problem. The waitress was super nice, almost too nice but that's OK. My boyfriend ordered the half rack or ribs. He asked if it were OK to have two different sauces and they did it no problem. I had the riblets, which were kind of skimpy looking on the plate but SO GOOD and plenty of meat on them! I was really impressed with how fast the food came out and the quality. The restaurant was a little busy at the time but we weren't ignored or left in the dust at all. Very good food, and very good service. The giftcard had expired but the waitress took care of it, no problem. She didn't give me a dirty look or make me feel cheap which was nice! Very highly recommended for a casual bite to eat with family or friends anytime :)

Went for a late lunch. Didn't get greeted by Anyone and sat Ourselves. No problem though. Very clean and Waiter was helpful. We split a Rack of Ribs and also the 2 side dishes. The food was great and hot and very fast. Overall it was a good experience.

I took my family there to celebrate my sons first birthday. We were served by Jess. I'm typically a pain in the butt customer due to my family being in the food industry and having high standards. Jess was beyond amazing in every aspect of service. She was quick friendly professional and attentive. I would give her 20 stars if I could. Had a little mishap with the first waiter but after a brief wait another stepped in. Did takeout from here right before New Year's and they were BUSY, but still had our orders up right on time (per the time given me on my calling it in). Both of our dinner orders were GREAT! I loved my spicy shrimp salad bowl, and my mom loved her babyback ribs! All side orders were what we'd asked for, & our food was still HOT when we finally sat down to eat it, around 15 - 20 minutes after I'd picked it up!

It was nice. Of course with places barely opening, there was limited spaces to seat people, but I went with my hubby and son during lunch and were seated immediately. Our server Oscar was very nice, attentive and suggested a delicious meal. Come here if you are looking for something open at this time!

Excellent service and food. One of the best margaritas I've had in a while. A blended strawberry margarita. Short wait time, especially for mothers day. Clean restrooms, plenty of parking. The parking surprised me because this restaurant is in a marketplace with other retail stores, but there was availability. Best of all, no reservations required. I would go back.

The Escondido location it’s my favorite AB in the area. They are friendly,the food tastes good. All server always extremely polite, different from other locations. I’m rather drive 30 minutes to this location then going to the one near where I live.

This restaurant is really nice. Everyone I here is very friendly, polite. I only had the chocolate cake and ice cream dessert but it was delicious. I've eaten here a couple of times before, and never had a problem. The bartender is so lovely and efficient. She rocks. Everything was spotless. All in all very wonderful place.

Gotta give a shout out to Applebees Escondido! Took the family there for dinner and catch some of the football game. The place was packed and the atmosphere was buzzing! We were greeted promptly and, per my request, were seated at a table near a TV to catch the game. Gabe was our server and did a great job! Having been in the service industry for many years, I can say that Gabe was the textbook example of table service. He was kind, suggestive, and attentive. All the employees were in high spirits and you could tell that management promoted an energetic culture. We had seen some of the Applebees commercials promoting their specials and decided to take them up on the offer. Portions were ideal, not short changed, and food came out hot! My wife each had a special and our 1 & 3 year old children split a kids meal(normal for our family). Seemed next to impossible, but we fed our family of 4 with a bill of $40.46. After a generous tip, we were out of there for under $50. Side note: Went out to Chik-Fil-@ witching the last week and it was $54(with 2 kids meals)! I would definitely come back to Applebees Escondido and would recommend to friends and family to swing in!

It was busy & we had a family of 7. The food was great & quick. The staff was on point & friendly family atmosphere.

Stopped by during Happy hour on Wednesday, and set at the bar. It was not crowded, the place was clean, and the bar tender Victoria made the time with family the best. She was very helpful when it came to order drinks and was always making sure that we were good and our drinks were good. We didn't get any food during our visit I would recommend this place during Happy hour.

The food & service are excellent. There are lots of great items on the menu, and there's something for every budget. Shout out to Sarah, Alex, and John. You guys are the best!

There were three adults who ate and we had a variety of dishes. The ribs are very good, the steak was also great as well as the salmon. Everything was very tasty. We also had 3 desserts and they were probably the three best desserts we have ever had. Their meals are very consistent and always good. We eat there probably once a week. We keep coming back for more.

I had a 1/2 rack of ribs-it was tender and scrumptious. One of my guests had fish & chips-and devoured it. It was nice and light in there too. It was a great dinner experience with plenty of parking as well.

Sarai was an amazing server at the bar. You definitely find good service and a delicious meal here. Came here with my brother and was served by Sarai and Vicki behind the bar. Both attentive and wonderful in spirit. As my appetizer you can never go wrong with the chicken Won Ton tacos! They came out quicker than expected and super crunchy. As my main course the blackened Salmon with broccoli and mash potatoes. Leaving me superrrrrr satisfied. I came hungry so no pictures this time around.

I don't know how they do it but the rub tips are super. We always get them or the ribs. Keep it up.

This location is open late and you wouldn’t notice any difference I have eaten here 4 times after 10pm and the service and food are great.

He was so awesome, quick and provided amazing service. Last time we came here he gave my daughter some colorful pens to use on her kids meal menu. Mom and I closed escrow on our home on Valentine’s Day last year, celebrating at our local Applebees restaurant. We enjoyed Passion Fruit Mai Tais for the first time and fell in love with them. We returned this year to celebrate the one year anniversary of closing escrow. And yes, at our local Applebees. It was Valentine’s Day, so we knew it’d get busy. I had to work so we got there around 4:00 and only had to wait about 8 minutes before being seated. Our waitress, Baylee was great. Her coworker was running late, so poor Baylee was running around with her head cut off taking care of multiple tables with various requests. When she got to us I let her know we can see how crazy it was and how she was able to focus on customer service so well. She was thankful that we understood. I’ll be honest, I could not handle what she did last night, so huge quad kudos to Baylee! The food was scrumptious. Applebees mashed potatoes are hands down the best in town. And that was the side dish! The steak was sizzling hot when it arrived hit off the skillet, still sizzling in its juices with grilled onions and mushrooms on the side, with their garlic butter. Oh my gravy they are not kidding when they say there’s something good in the neighborhood! Because it was my birthday month, I received a brownie with a coop of vanilla ice cream for free. Join the club and you can have all this great experience too! A word to management: I certainly hope you can see what you have in Baylee being on your winning team. She’s an asset to your team and we will continue to come back for more. Oh yum!!

Applebee's is the place to go when you want extremely consistent food at extremely consistent hours. This location has a huge parking lot available. You will never not have a place to park any size vehicle. It's a great spot to get a late night snack or an affordable drink. Love it or hate it, this place really serves a purpose. It's also a great place to bring the entire family, they have something for everyone. It's very kid friendly, with lots of seating options to accommodate your whole family. They offer dine in, take out, car side pick up, and delivery is also an option. It's also nice that they offer wifi for patrons. There is wheelchair accessible parking located up front and there is a ramp. This Applebee's offers indor seating.

Visited on 11/2/21 with 3 others. Arrived at 5:28pm. Although it was fairly crowded, we were seated almost immediately. Our server asked what they could get us to drink, and we received our drinks and ordered within 10 mins (5:38). Since it was busy, and that it was half off apps still, (3-6pm, or 9 to closing for half apps), we knew it would take a little longer. We received our appetizers (Mozzarella Sticks, and Brew Pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip) at 5:52pm. At 6:08, the server let us know that food should be done and sent out soon. Received our food at 6:15pm. As for the food, everything was fine. The Combo platter was all fresh and delicious with more mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadilla, spinach artichoke dip with tortilla chips, boneless wings sauced with garlic parmesan and side celery. BOneless wings with the buffalo sauce was great too with a healthy mild spiciness. The chicken wonton tacos were all fine and dandy and flavorful too. Food was seasoned well and priced fairly with fair portions. We were eating good in the neighborhood Applebees. Thanks for reading!

Went for the 2 for $27 deal, the sizzling chicken and shrimp, and the chicken penne pasta. Both have great flavor and presentation. Tried the boneless chicken wings appetizer, AKA chicken nuggets oh, they were okay but next time we'll go back to the spinach artichoke dip appetizer which is great.

Good food, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices. I would have given it five stars but it was a warm day and the air conditioning was a bit insufficient. Our server Monica was very nice and did a great job, overall a nice dinner.

Well, one thing first the hosts: they're too picky if who they want to serve or being "judgemental." Being here twice around was okay..... but also, not bad. Secondly, I love that one server she has this vibe that's "TOO CONCERNING??" But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER! She's so NICE! I usually tip her or like I go to her! Otherwise, the hosts need to change up their attitude towards people. 5 stars to the server and <- negative-> one star for that one hostess.

We had the 2 for $28.00. It was pretty good except the steak we both got was way overdone and dry. The mashed potatoes, broccoli and house salad were very good. Our waitress Sydney was very friendly and professional.

Enjoyed some pretty decent appetizers with the hubby. The service gets 2 thumbs up since our waitress was respectably friendly and always served us with a smile. It was a mellow evening so our food and drinks came out pretty quick. Upon leaving a staff member not only opened one door but both doors you have to go through to exit the restaurant. That gets another 2 thumbs up! I give it 4 stars but my husband would give 3 stars because he was very disappointed with the lack of alcohol in the drinks, if any. He gave the same one a second chance but couldn't finish it. I agree though, they were extremely sweet and tasted like a store bought mix. Aside from that, we enjoyed our time ❤

My husband's favorite meal and he really likes the promo price right now! I had the sirloin stir fry and it was too pricey for what you get. The flavor mild and steak pieces a little too chewy. But the service friendly and considerate.

I like Applebee's because it's predictable - I know the menu and there won't be any surprises. Parking is very convenient. The staff was friendly last night, including the manager. Seating for my older friend was better at a table with chairs - the booth seats are so low that a part of your anatomy that shouldn't rests on the table, lol! Our food was decent, though my friend's steak had a fair amount of gristle. I had to wait until more than halfway through my meal for the promised bread sticks because "there weren't any fresh ones" when the server brought the meals. He was maybe handling a lot of tables, but was hard to find when we needed something. However, we were seated right away during the peak dinner hour and appreciated that. I'll be back - it's not exciting, but reliable, and I like that I can catch glimpses of the football games in the bar area.

Can be quite crowded on weekends and evenings, bring your patience cap! Clean, an efficient staff. Food pricing is reasonable, and there's plenty of it. Excellent casual dining experience. Bar seating available for dinner for those without children.

It seems to be very portion controlled. Employees very courteous but one girl was very, very attentive. Food was awesome just a little skimpy for the price. Great menu for youngsters and oldsters to love. Oh yes, if it's your birthday they bring you cake and the entire staff will sing Happy Birthday to you. Very nice experience.

Great place to grab some food and watch the game. The bar atmosphere is always fun. The staff is very accommodating and greet you immediately upon arrival. The menu has many options for different types of people and there are always some sort of deals or discounts going on. My only gripe is that the TVs in the bar area could be updated.

It's a really nice place I did never get my bread stick that came with my meal though😞

Visited today for lunch with one of my friends. Great atmosphere, fresh hot food. Some of the best fish and chips. Our waitperson was a little inpatient with us, walking by quickly asking if we were doing well before we could answer he was gone. Then, during the end of the meal, he disappeared for an extensive amount of time.

I think the food is pretty good. The only problem I had is when I ordered my son a bacon burger well done with no pink in the meat, the burger he got was more like medium rare with a lot of pink in the meat. I took it back inside since I originally ordered my food to go and they soon replaced my sons burger that was finally made well done with no pink in the meat. Other than that, the food is good and the prices aren't bad either. But the wait time to be seated if you want to dine 8n was like a 45 minute wait.

Ordered carside to go, they gave an estimated time of 6:50 pm. The status said completed, but no one came out. Went in at 7:05 to ask what's up, and the food was ready, but just sitting there. There was one employee chatting on the phone the entire time I was waiting outside. Hey, I get that it's busy, so why not tell me that the food will be ready at a later time, or that it's delayed? Communication is lacking. I've been to dinner inside and it was always fine because the wait staff communicated if there was a delay. So, I gave 3 stars instead of one since sitting inside is fine but to go is terrible. The food was cold and soggy, and the soda was watery and flat since it was all sitting ready for so long. SMH.

I just like to eat clean. My family likes their food. Although we ALL end up with tummy aches after eating here. It's nice to eat some French fries and chicken strips from time to time, but it's never worth the cheat meal. I'm better off with my own homemade healthy dinner.

I've been a few times there before and I had the fish which was really good. This time I had the special which was crispy shrimp and the no bone in chicken tendersno and I didn't like any of it, and I couldn't even eat it, but I waitress was really nice and helpful.

Bad bad bad service!! I went in with my family. Our server was so bad. Didn’t ask us if we needed anymore refills or more drinks or just anything more in general. She came got our order gave us our drinks and food and that was the last we heard from her. They weren’t even busy so there was no reason for her not to be worried if we were doing okay or just checking up. She then gave us our check and said don’t rush! This is only getting two stars cause the food was great. The girl was a Mexican girl with an ombré and some glasses.

Food was okay, it's an applebee's. Our server was good and attentive, however the manager was the issue. He was prowling around our table as we finished up and as soon as the ziosk made the noise it makes when the payment is complete he quite literally snatched it from me right out of my hands and made a half-assed attempt at asking how our meal was while not-so-subtly giving the survey on the tablet 5 stars on all items. I didn't catch his name, it was something like Jarleem. This experience happened during dinner time May 22. The draft beer was also flat and the chicken tenders came out quite poorly. Something I may have been able to address subtly if he had not been so short and uncaring.

Monday night around 5:45pm We were asked if a bar high top would be ok and we said sure. We were told we could order apps and drinks on the tablet on our table and our server would be right with us. Our tablet didn’t work, my husband grabbed another tablet from an empty table and it still didn’t work. The host was nice enough to go get us another one that also didn’t work. We had decided to get an app and drinks while we decided on entrees. While we sat after 3 tablets, we looked around for a while and no one looked or said anything to us. There were 2 women bartenders, one worker guy at the end of the bar just on his phone, one dark hair lady (manager?) standing by the kitchen entrance looking at the whole dining room, and yet, we had to finally ask the host if they could get someone to help us. We ordered drinks and an app. I ordered moscato cause I like sweeter wine, but this was bitter/vinegary so I didn’t really enjoy it. The best part was the southwestern bowl I ordered.

They recently changed their menu. The 2 for $25 selection has gone downhill. The rest of the menu is mediocre. I don't feel they have the right price to value here anymore. Also, how can you not have any draft beer available? Will think twice before coming back here

Me and my coworkers (party of 6) decided to come here after work today for happy hour. It took 15 mins before we were asked for a drink and we are sitting at the bar. There are only 3 other patrons here previous to us. Don't really want to order food it may take longer and the bartender is rude. I only give a star because it's close to my job. Bad experience 👎

The service was very slow. We had to remind the service serval times about things we were waiting on, drinks, booster sit, food, refills, etc. The service felt unfriendly, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable!!! I regularly enjoy going to the Applebee's in El Cajon, of which the service and food is top notch! I was extremely disappointed of the service I received at the Escondido Applebee's... 😔

What happened to this place? Wow I ordered a zesty chicken sandwich and it was the worst thing I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Extremely salty and saturated with sauce and no ranch. The waitress was nice but working both sides of the room. And some wait staff just standing at the bar making faces at each other. Never again!

We were never seen by a waiter. Nobody took our drink order or food. We had our 3 year old with us and no longer had the patience. I even got up (trying not to be a Karen) and asked the hostess (or manager - man walking with a tablet checking on people) to please send a waiter our way. He went and grabbed a waitress who walked right by our table and took order of table next to us, who came after! Nobody made eye contact with us as they saw our family sit with NOTHING. We are patient but it was almost 20 minutes. The man I talked to about finding us a waiter never came and checked on us again. We walked out.

My family of 5 arrived at 5:15. No wait, informed the hostess we would like a table instead of a booth. She proceeded to sit is at a booth for 4. I asked her again for a table. The only available tables were table tops in the bar area which seats 6 or more and we've sat there before on another visit. Another host informs us there's going to be a wait for those tables. There's 6 tables available and nobody is waiting to be seated. I said there's nobody waiting and his reply is well you have to wait. So we walked out and they have now lost our business for their rudeness.

I guess inflation is this bad I paid $11 for a small portion of chips with artichoke dip tortillas are cheap give us more portion 😩😩😩

Picking up here needs work. It should not take 20+ minutes to pick up a simple order. They have a pickup sidedoor you can enter but people were exiting that way as well making it difficult to enter. They have a counter with a bell like at a hotel but there was no one there and I was not greeted for a good 5 minutes, no one told me how much longer it would be, she just went to check on it and disappeared for a good 15 minutes. Finally the food was ready and guess what, it was not worth the price.

our server was never here to assist us ??😭😭we had to keep asking the host for help. she forgot my friend’s Diet Pepsi too and never mentioned to my other friend that she would be charged for extra broccoli… do better.

This is the second time in just a few weeks that they got my order incorrect again. The first time was missing two items and this time I tried a salad I asked for a side of blue cheese dressing and what did they give me Italian that is not blue cheese I am not coming back to this restaurant ever again. Food was pretty good, the margaritas were really good, everything was decently priced. The waiter was obviously new, but did his best so can't complain. I never got the text when it it was ready and when they'd come bring it out to me so after 12min of sitting in the parking lot (mind you I showed up 6min LATE to when it was supposed to be ready), I called them and was told sorry, and that they'd bring it right out....5 min later nobody shows up. I walk in and it's just sitting there behid the guy on the to-go table the whole time. What's he say to me?...."oh that's my bad bro."

Haven't been to Applebee's in a while I usually go to Chili's we wanted to switch it up so we went to Applebee's and they changed their menu and pricing again. me and my son got the two for 25 and we wanted the steak and come to find out it's an extra six dollars for that option for each plate they don't even give the option for the 6 ounce and then if you want to upgrade you can get the 8 ounce and pay the extra money, so I don't know why that option is even on the two for $25 if you mandatory you have to add the six dollars to get the steak, disappointing for sure. my younger son who is three got the cheese pizza, which honestly was really gross it looked disgusting my son loves pizza and he will eat any kind of pizza and for him to not eat this was the first time in general, and I don't blame him, it even looked odd, definitely won't be going back I think the pricing of the food does not live up to the quality, obviously it's not high-end food but comparing it to Chili's, chillis food is way better and it's better pricing. I give it one star because my server was really nice that's pretty much it
