This was my boyfriend and I’s first time going to a Benihana or any kind of restaurant like this and it was AMAZING! We made reservations for 6:30 and got seated right away, our waiter was very attentive and kind which was great. And our chef Aaron was sooo much fun!! Explained everything to us and made the experience very comforting and so exciting. It was so mesmerizing watching him do his thing haha! He definitely made our night! The food was so delicious, the chicken and shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection and the, I believe it’s mustard sauce, that they bring out with the food was heavenly. It was all perfect and well worth it! I would definitely recommend this location if you’re in the DFW area and wanting to make a special memory! Food and a show?! Can’t get much better than that!! 😄
Chief Cameron is the reason for my review. Great attitude, energy and vibe. He made the entire table feel like it was a personal event. And his cooking 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾 top of the line! We will be more than happy to wait for a seat at his table when we come back!
This was The absolute best experience that we have ever had any Benihana’s in the USA. Our server possessed top-tier customer service, impeccable personality, very attentive no mistakes were made. I forgot her name because Cam our chef stole the show with tricks, personality he connected with everyone at the table, we became cousins with total strangers and Cam is officially my “Nephew.” The taste and quality of the food captivated us in such a way we pledge to never eat at the Benihana‘s in Irving, Tx ever again even in Dallas, we will drive an hour to Addison if we have to. I have so many good things to say about my experience. First a foremost the staff were very inviting and made the experience feel very inviting and homely. The service was very quick and attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Our chef Cam was every bit of amazing. Very professional and nice. He was so great with our kids and made them light up at the experience. The food was astounding and cooked to perfection. He was very talented with the utensils and can easily say was one of the best food performances I have experienced at this type of food setting. Will definitely be returning and specifically asking for him. What an amazing way to spend the holidays thanks Chef Cam for the wonderful evening.
We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Benihana while celebrating my birthday and my younger brother’s birthday. We requested Chef Manny, and as always, he delivered an unforgettable dinner. Every time I come, I ask for Manny his cooking, his personality, and the overall experience he creates are unmatched. Our waiter, Luis Perez, was incredible. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our entire table was taken care of from start to finish. The service overall was fantastic. I also want to thank the manager, Jeremy, for checking in on us and ensuring everything went smoothly. And a special thank you to Jillian Burns she was absolutely amazing, incredibly accommodating, and provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the Center Cut Filet Mignon the Chateaubriand easily one of the highlights of the night I would make sure to get it Medium Rare! We also loved the seasonal punch bowls they were a fun addition and perfect for our group. We’re very thankful that the team was able to accommodate our larger party on such short notice. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back.
I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a meal prepared by an incredible habatchi chef, and I can confidently say he was a beast! From the moment he stepped up to the grill, his energy and skill were evident. The way he expertly handled the knives, flipped ingredients, and engaged with the guests created an unforgettable atmosphere. Every dish he prepared was not only delicious but also a work of art. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was top-notch. I feel like there's a set expectation for a full dining experience when you visit Benihana. This location exceeded those expectations. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed ourselves and our delicious lunch. I also met the manager, Amanda, who was a delight. You can tell she has passion behind what she does. The chef, Luis, was amazing. The food was fresh, the flavor was big, and the vibe was on point. Ill definitely be visiting this location again.
Chef Cameron was absolutely amazing! He was entertaining, personable, and made the entire experience so much fun. The bar service was a little slow, but once the show started it was totally worth the wait. Cameron truly made the day truly memorable.
I kicked off my birthday celebration at Benihana and had the pleasure of trying their Wagyu of the World menu. I sampled all three — American, Japanese, and Australian Wagyu — and each one was absolutely exceptional. The steaks were seasoned to perfection, incredibly tender, and melted in our mouths with every bite. We also tried the four new butters — Truffle, Lobster, Wagyu, and Hot Honey — each adding a unique and flavorful twist that elevated the meal. The staff was amazing, providing warm and personalized service throughout our visit. Chef Cameron was especially knowledgeable and patient in explaining the differences between the meats and butters. Overall, a 10/10 experience and an unforgettable way to start my birthday celebration!

We went to Benihana on Belt Line in Addison in the middle of the day and didn’t know if we would get a show — but we did! Our chef and entertainer, One, was so much fun and made the meal extra special. We also had a great waiter who took good care of us. The food was amazing! My favorites were the chicken and shrimp, but the steak was pretty yummy too. If you come here with a party, request One — you’ll have a blast!
Cam was our chef and he was AMAZING! He seasoned everything perfectly. Even though, my mom and I were the only ones at the table he didn't skimp on anything. I loved his laser light show and knife skills. I've never had a better time at a restaurant. The waiter was very attentive as well. I almost don't want to let the secret out but this is the best Benihans in Dallas. We are always seated quickly and they are so friendly here. Come here for great food and atmosphere. And ask for CAM!
Benihana Dallas!!!! Dom was the nicest most charming hostess I’ve seen a restaurant had in a while. I was a walk in of a party of 5 he said even though it’s busy he will try his best to get us sat at a hibachi grill for me and my family to enjoy. Little do you know we was sat super quick he kept a smile on his face and was even telling jokes making us laugh after the rough day we had. He was running all around the restaurant and making sure his servers were good and all orders packed. What an amazing experience I would def come back and would love to see Dom Thank yall again for the wonderful experience
I have only one thing to say...... Ask for kendall when you go to this location in dallas. He was great! He gave a wonderful show. And also was personable and paid attention to what everyone wanted, And how everyone wanted. He says he was just a beginner. But he seemed like he had been there for years. If I possible every time I visit this location. I will definitely ask for him to be our cook.. great job Kendall!
What a wonderful evening with our Benihana chef Kendell. He was perfect with his showmanship and his fun personality. I have been to Benihana many times, and this was the best tasting visit I have ever had. When he said he cooks with love, that is the truth. You can taste the love in the food. He engaged with the table by asking everyone questions of each customer and it was such a joy to have him as our cook for the evening. Going forward, I am going to ask for him any time I am there and I hope I get to be at his table again. Pure joy.
We had a group of 6 at Benihana on Fri, Dec 12. Arsène was our chef and Pab was our server. They were both superb! Not only very skillful at their jobs but also very personable. We have come to Benihana many times, but this was the very best experience ever, thanks to Arsène and Pab! Highest compliments to them!
Great experience at Benihana in Dallas! The hibachi was excellent—high-quality food, perfectly cooked, and a fun, engaging experience all around. Everything was fresh and flavorful, exactly what you expect from a solid hibachi spot. The night was made even better by the amazing company at our table, which really added to the overall experience. As a guest of the Westin across the street, I knew about the 25% hotel guest discount and had to ask for it, but it was applied without any issues. Great food, lively atmosphere, and a good value when staying nearby. Definitely recommend if you’re in Dallas!
I had a great experience at Benihana! I went in for dinner and ordered the Benihana Delight, and it was absolutely delicious. The food was cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and the entire hibachi experience was fun and enjoyable. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The only downside was that toward the end of our meal, we felt a bit rushed. We had an 8:30 reservation and the restaurant was running slightly behind, which we were completely understanding about. Because things started a little later, we ended up finishing just past closing time — not by choice, but due to the delayed start. It would’ve been nice to feel a little more relaxed during those final moments. Overall though, the food was amazing, the staff was kind, and I would definitely come back again!
We celebrated my young teenage granddaughter’s birthday at Benihana, and our experience was absolutely wonderful. Christon, our Teppanyaki chef, went above and beyond—he was engaging, friendly, and incredibly talented. He made sure each of us felt included in the fun, and all of us—especially both the birthday girl and her little sister—were completely delighted. Hanna, our server, was exceptional as well. She anticipated our needs, handled every request with ease, and made the afternoon feel effortless. Our sushi and entrées were delicious, the girls loved their mango piña colada mocktails, and the adults enjoyed perfectly prepared cocktails. It was a fantastic celebration from start to finish. We’ll definitely be returning!
From the moment we arrived, the service at Benihana was exceptional. Manager Adrian Drew went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared that everything ran smoothly for our table. Our server Diego deserves special recognition. The lunch service was almost over, yet he still welcomed us in with a smile and made sure we didn’t feel rushed at all. His friendly attitude and quick service really set the tone for a wonderful lunch. The highlight of the experience was our Tappa chef, Jonathan. He was not only skilled at the grill but also incredibly attentive to every detail of our order. He listened carefully, made sure everything was cooked exactly the way we wanted, and kept us entertained throughout with his fun energy and great cooking show. The food was delicious. From the fresh chicken, shrimp and tender steak to the perfectly seasoned fried rice. The combination of excellent food, friendly staff, and genuine hospitality made this visit outstanding from start to finish.
Wonderful, as expected. Our hibachi chef Alberto was awesome! The drinks were strong and the food was delicious. Can’t go wrong with their steak and shrimp. Heads up: if you come as a small group you’ll more than likely get placed at a table with other small groups. Our crew was great.
First of all, I just want to say the overall ambience and service of Benihanas is great, but it just didn’t live up to what I was expecting in terms of taste and quality based on pricing. I definitely feel like you pay more for the experience than the food because the portion sizes are crazy small for what you’re paying. I ordered the seafood combo which was about $40 and I received five pieces of shrimp two scallops and two small pieces of squid that were chopped and drowned in vegetables, very disappointing.
Cameron was amazing and is carrying this place! Good personality and good cook. Our server and manger was very mediocre. It was me and my husband’s first time so we had a lot of questions. She was friendly at first when answering but that seemed to ware off. We were ready to put our order in but she didn’t come back until another family showed up ab 10 min later. She went to them and took their order then ours. It was clear she was avoiding us. Not even sure if she told us her name. Our salad was half full. This place is not cheap so I expected amazing service from start to finish. The spicy hibachi shrimp was good. When I informed the manager about my issues he didn’t listen very well and mostly made the issue about the salad and walked off before I was finished speaking with him? You want another salad? I’ll get you another salad-as if HE was frustrated. Overall we decided we would not be back. It’s not worth the money. When paying over $100 for a meal it better be AMAZING from start to finish.
We waited over an hour pasted our reservation. The cook didn’t know how to cook the food right. He didn’t serve us out sauces before he started cooking and we had to ask for them. I had to tell him when to take my food off the grill or it all would have been over cooked. The rice had burnt spots and my shrimp. I added extra garlic butter and mustard sauce to everything and still wasn’t right because the food was over cooked. I got a refund for my dish only and for the beer and hot sake but that wasn’t enough overall it was horrible. The soup broth didn’t have any flavor and my hot sake had red things floating in it. We always got it the Dallas location which is great but this location sucks! If I never had Benihanas before this experience would have made me over eat there again. But this has been my favorite restaurant for the last 20 years. I just wont be going back to this location ever! You can see how dry and the burnt pieces in the rice from this photo. Just terrible.
We visited Benihana in Addison with a 9:00 PM reservation and arrived at 8:47 PM. We were seated around 9:10 PM, which was completely fine — no issue there. About 10 minutes later, a server came to take our drink orders. Roughly 30 minutes after that, we received our soup and salad. Unfortunately, when the server placed the bowls on the table, her hand was inside the rim of the bowl touching the food area, which was already concerning. After that… nothing. We had all reviewed the menu and were ready to order, but no one came back to our table. An entire hour passed without our server returning to check on us or take our entrée order. The only interaction we had was drinks, soup, and salad. No communication. No updates. No explanation. By the time I asked to speak to a manager, it was 10:30 PM — 30 minutes before closing. The restaurant, which had been packed when we arrived, was nearly empty. Tables around us had cleared out, staff were cleaning, and yet somehow no one noticed that our table had been sitting there for over an hour without placing a food order. When I spoke with the manager, she said she “wasn’t aware” that we had been waiting that long. That was extremely disappointing. It should not take a guest tracking someone down for management to realize a table has been neglected for over an hour. A chef named Arron was sent to our table to cook for us and honestly, he tried to save the experience. He was professional, kind, and repeatedly apologized — which, respectfully, should have been the manager’s responsibility. He did his best to lighten the mood, but at that point we were already frustrated and over it. We were told they were short staffed, but that still does not excuse a complete lack of communication or basic table checks. A simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. In the end, we received a small discount, but we still paid for a meal that started off with over an hour of being ignored. The manager never came back to personally follow up with us at the table. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Poor communication, lack of attentiveness, and management oversight made what should have been an enjoyable night out turn into frustration. I would not recommend this location based on our experience.
We had a 5:45 pm reservation and arrived five minutes early. Instead of being seated, we were told the wait would be another 1 to 1.5 hours. This was especially disappointing as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and had our kids with us. We were then directed to wait in the lounge. We stayed there for about 30 minutes and attempted to order drinks and appetizers, but no one ever came to take our order. No acknowledgment, no service, nothing. After waiting over an hour total, we had no choice but to leave. What made this experience worse was not just the poor execution, but the complete lack of ownership. Not a single apology, no empathy, and no effort to make things right at any point. Reservations should mean something. Special occasions should be treated with basic care. Unfortunately, this was a masterclass in disorganization and indifference from start to finish.
Been coming here for over 30 years. Not nearly what it used to be. Old, tired, dated with terrible service. Hosts barely said hello. Was promised our own table but they jammed two others in so everyone was really crowded. Easily took 30-40 minutes to get our drinks and order dinner. Chef barely did any of the typical flare. My steak was far undercooked, asked chef to cook again and he put it back in the griddle for all of 30 seconds. Salmon was very fishy. Extremely loud guests in the other room. Took forever to close out. You’re forced to valet and valet complained about a $5 tip. Not a single reason to return. Food, service, atmosphere and experience have all gone downhill. Zero pride in anything they offer. Disappointing.
We made a reservation for 5 people at 7:30. They made us wait 30 mins to be seated and after being seated they made us wait for an hour to get food. Went and spoke with the manager and he seemed liked he didn’t care and said we should order appetizers if we are hungry and tiered of waiting. He didn’t care one bit and that’s unacceptable. The food was okay - but not worth the money. I would recommend coming here - Dallas has many better places.
I had spoken highly of this restaurant to my husband for several years, and we recently had the chance to dine here together. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. My husband chose the hibachi chicken five-course meal, while I opted for the chicken fried rice. A noticeable shrimp flavor permeated his rice, and his green tea was never fulfilled. The salad was unremarkable, and my fried rice contained hard, inedible pieces, which I was told were from the onion. In summary, the prices are excessively high considering the substandard quality of the food and I left hungry.
I ordered from “RA sushi” thinking it was closed by, but apparently ordering directly from RA sushi online redirected me to behihana… I just wanted a quick simple meal close by after an exhausting day. But I had to drive the extra distance to pick up my order here…. Got the garlic edamame, but as you can see in the picture, they gave me regular edamame… saying there was garlic sprinkle…. There wasn’t.. not to mentioned I had to drive back because they didn’t include the edamame the first time. The waitress was not nice either and ignore me when I wanted to confirm my order. Is it because I wasn’t wearing fancy clothes for a take out order? The fried burrito was laughable… $16 and it doesn’t even fill you up. Barely any food in there and it was mediocre. Save your money. There are much better fried rice elsewhere with more interesting takes on fusion cuisine.
