I came to get a sandwich, extra crunchy, and although it was hot and fresh and it was good, it. Didn't have the same seasoning flavor that the regular fried chicken had. I also got the family pack me deal, 8 pieces, 2 family sides for $20 today and the chicken was still fresh, hot and crispy after a 15 minute drive home. You won't find a place with more unique sides like plantains and yucca fries that keeps their food consistently hot and crispy and fresh and Never get a stale piece.

This establishment is top notch! The chicken is like no other! I truly believe they can take KFC and popeyes out of business one day. The flavor is mouth bursting; whether you choose from the fried or grilled chicken. The prices are truly worth the experience and quality of food. You won't get soggy pieces or burnt food like other chicken places and the dine-in experience is truly enjoyable. Customer service is always top notch with speedy service. If you're looking for a new place to try out with the family, I'd highly recommend it or of you want to eat alone as well.

Their chicken has the crispiest skin and is well seasoned and never disappoints. I also like the campero salad with corn and carrots and blue cheese, and my son said the best ranch ever and the best flan dessert too!

This was such a great place to stop and eat. I had 1st tried this place in Honduras about 14 years ago and couldn't believe it when I saw it here in Dallas. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. This brought so many memories.

This quick serve restaurant offers an impressive array of authentic Mexican treats. Their main dish is chicken which you may have as roasted or fried both very delicious. Stopped at the one on Belt line in Richardson TX. Ordered the 3 piece grilled. After I sat down, an employee told me the didnt have grilled made, it would take 10 minutes. I said I'll have fried then. Got my meal, it was very good. Then the employee came back out with 2 grilled wings and said, here you go. Now you can taste what the grilled is like. It also was very good. So, waitstaff and food was fantastic. Will be visiting again.

This was my first time at Pollo Campero. I live in Cedar Hill, which is probably 30 miles south of this restaurant, but I was working in the area. The fried chicken was awesome! I have had a lot of fried chicken living south of downtown Dallas. The chicken at Pollo Campero was tender and wasn't too salty. I have to say, it was a little greasy, pero, así es, it's fried 🐔 I also had the Yuca fries which were really good, although I would have liked a little more portion on the fries. Overall, I had a great experience! My meal tasted great. It is quality food for a good price. Tony helped me with my order at the Richardson location, and the other staff members who interacted with me were friendly and they smiled at me, which kinda made me feel welcomed. I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Delicious fast-food chicken, good for a quick bite! Bbq sauce paired well with the original spices used in the chicken breading and frying process. A subtle but unique, somewhat exotic savory taste; my palate wasn't entirely familiar with everything in it. Side salad was actually quite satisfying, it came complete with cherry tomatoes, green and purple leaves, and those little seed lookin things.

Service is amazing as well as the employees, they are full of positive vide and energy and the atmosphere is calming.

A bit of a hidden gem for me as someone from California. A friend introduced this place to me, and I was quickly impressed. $8 after tax for 2 bone in chicken pieces, 1 side, and a tortilla or dinner roll. Service was extremely quick. Dine in had metal utensils! And the chicken was surprisingly good, considering it is a fast food place. Juicy, tender, skin is crispy and flavorful. And the sides are impressive. Fried sweet plantains, beans, and yuca fries were all delicious. You have grilled vs fried for chicken options. If you don't have health constraints, go for the fried every time. I liked the fried so much more that I had to include a photo of it even though it was blurry. And if you fill out the survey on the receipt you can turn it in the same visit for 2 extra free pieces of chicken so.. 👀. Overall a steal, budget friendly, would def come again

I couldn't give it five stars because I was missing chicken pieces. Ordered the 22 piece family meal and when I got home there were only 20. I called the restaurant and the lady said to give her name next visit and they will give me free pieces in addition to the 2 that were missing. I appreciate that but I hope they remember. I don't go here often because it's about 30 minutes away. What did surprise me was that at first she asked what time I picked up my order so they could check the cameras. As in she thought I was lying about the missing pieces? Really?! Oh well. At least she quickly moved on and offered the free pieces instead of putting me on hold to look at the video.

This place was better than most locations I have visited, but be advised there is apparently a typical 35-45 min wait on the extra crunchy chicken-- which, pursuant to corporate IS NOT NOTED ANYWHERE, even though it is the standard time for all orders of same. However, despite the inconvenience (and the false advertising by omission), the chicken itself was delicious and the the customer service was even better, as I got a free flan and a voucher for a free chicken sandwich based on the wait.

Got chicken nuggets and Campero sauce from the drive thru for the first time and I kid you not, I actually thought I had ordered from Chick-fil-A...the nuggets taste just like them and the sauce is so close! If you crave Chick-fil-A on a Sunday, just come here! FYI-they are just as pricey as Chick-fil-A.

The chicken is awesome. Both ways they cook it, is great! They give you tortillas and the rice is good as well. The only thing I did not like is that they do not have a homemade salsa to go with your chicken. They offer cholula and ketchup! The place seems to be newish therefore it looks clean. I will be back for more chicken but I will take my homemade salsa next time I am there.

Update 2/3: I had the worst customer service experience at this location. A general manager named George reached out to me the same day as well as the regional customer service manager Lori. They helped correct this wrong. They were disappointed in the service I received and provided me with a follow up as well as a gift card. I won't let this location make me feel like I can't eat at the other location. The food is still awesome. 🔥

We arrived there around 9pm and order food right away. The lady that was in charge of the lobby said that by 9:30pm we need to be down eating. As my son was still eating his food, the lady was already picking up at out table. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, she would make comments that to the people in the lobby that they needed to hurry up since closing time was approaching.

I enjoyed the food for the most part, but one side of the chicken was definitely undercooked as I can tell as I bit into it. The prices are very reasonable in terms of what you get, but I probably won’t return because of the lackluster experience due to the hype of this place.

Love PC but this location is awful. Given it a few chances to be sure it wasn't a fluke. Both times the fries were raw. The drive through wait was over 20 minutes because they said they had to cook the fries. When the guy came out with our bag he was swinging it around like a helicopter for some reason. Chicken was still good, but never again.

My experience in this place. It was finding the food with a lot of oil. I know it's food that is cooked in oil. That does not mean I have a lot of oil. They should drain the food. I have experience cooking for restaurant how it works. The chicken was with a lot of oil, plantains. I had to use napkins to remove the oil. Fantastic food but horrible service. That sums up all my visits to this place. For example, yesterday afternoon, I placed an online order for grilled chicken with sides of plantain and mashed potatoes to be picked up at drive thru. When I drove 5-miles to pick my food up and went to the drive through. No one was there to attend. After waiting for a few minutes, I parked my car and went inside. I was told that the speaker in drive thru wasn't working. Then I was told that they were out of plantains. I switched my side. Once that taken care of, I was told they were out of grilled chicken and I had to wait for 20 minutes. I asked them to give me fried chicken. So the only thing I got right was mashed potatoes. That kind of service is why I keep going to other chicken places despite food being excellent at Pollo Campero. What's the use of food being good if you aren't going to get whay you want? Edit: they responded within 45 minutes to my review asking me to contact them through email about my experience. I did respond and they never replied to my email. This is how food chains pretend to care about your experience when they actually don't.

Cheap, food isn't that good. Have to ask for everything basic like napkins, ketchup, utensils. They didnt want to give boxes for left overs they gave us containers for sides... rice was bland... no jalapeños? Floors were so greasy, dirty tables on a Sunday morning... 1st time and last time I go to this restaurant.

I’m not sure why none of their locations seem to have chicken breast available. (Especially this one) Almost every time I go there to eat, I’m told they are out of it. While the chicken itself is good, the service tends to be hit or miss. Consistency matters—not just in the food, but also in the customer experience. Selling good chicken is important, but providing reliable service and having key menu items available should be a priority as well.

This second time the manager Ana on duty seemed short and charged me more for the meal that’s priced at $7.85. I got charged $10.01 which doesn’t add up. When I asked the employee he first said it was taxes. Also doesn’t add up. Then when I told him yes my taxes were $.86 he said oh yeah our prices went up because chicken is more now. Well then don’t have prices and then charge people more without telling them first or better yet, change the prices on the menu. I do not recommend this place. They didn't want to sell me 4 breasts until the legs ran out, they didn't want to sell me.

They recently had their "grand reopening", and the food has been complete garbage at this point. The mashed potatoes are horrible, the seasoning on the grilled chicken has changed and tastes so bad that even ranch couldn't make it better. I know they are in the service industry, but coming to check on you every 5 minutes is pretty annoying. I made my order online and arrived to pick it up. I was assured there were straws in the bag, but there were none when I got home. Also, I ordered root beer to drink. But when I got home, I found out someone had given me and my wife Dr. Pepper instead. And one of the cup lids were leaking pretty badly. I was VERY disappointed! The last time I visited this location, I ordered online as well. When I went to pick it up, I found out they had given my order to somebody else! Then they lied and told me they didn't have any more grilled chicken. Then they told me they only had grilled dark meat. I'm starting to feel as if my wife and I are not welcome at Pollo Campero. And if it were not for the incredibly delicious grilled chicken that my wife and I enjoy so much, I would not darken the doorstep of this restaurant ever again.

There is one thing they're consistent at: they will forget to give your drink when you order delivery. This is the 3rd time this has happened. Also they'll put the wrong items in for inferior products. No more chances, never eating from here again.

We love pollo campero, the locations in Guatemala are a staple but the ones here in the states are horrible. We arrived for dinner and straight off the bat the entire restaurant was dirty. From the lobby to the restrooms. The cashier's seem unhappy and really unwilling give you adequate help. The good thing is there is a self service kiosk. There was blood drips by one of the restrooms near the toilet handle. Definitely not safe for kids to enter.
