Opinions de CBD Provisions Dallas
Looking forward to coming back for more delicious drinks and dishes. Great for dinner date, business connections, or just a quiet evening to yourself.
Sezer is heading the kitchen over here and I have to say he’s done a fabulous job on the menu. We had the mussels and burger. Both were divine! Our server Mariah was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The entire staff were aware and there to help. Kind and professional. Superb service.. can’t wait to come back! Couldn’t recommend more.
In the Joule Hotel Mood lighting, modern decor, and ample seating. Can accommodate large groups. The food was good. Portions were normal human sized. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Staff was pleasant. Great for date night, friends night out, after work, solo dinning. Centrally located to popular downtown Dallas spots. Before or aftee wating, walk through the beautiful Joule hotel.
Tucked under the cool, shadowy corridors of The Joule, CBD Provisions doesn’t scream for attention. It doesn’t need to. It just is. A steakhouse? A brunch spot? A downtown watering hole? Who cares. What it is, is good. The kind of place that doesn’t try to impress you because it knows it already has. And then there is Sal. Sal isn’t just a bartender. He’s the kind of man who remembers your drink, your dog’s name, and the fact that you had a bad Tuesday two weeks ago. He’s got that rare quality that most hospitality folks fake and few genuinely possess: empathy. He’s top 10, maybe even top 5, in a lifetime of bars from Bangkok to Brooklyn. The kind of guy who makes you feel better before the first sip. The food? Designed by someone who cares. Smash burgers with just the right amount of filth and crunch. Tuna nachos that are confident enough to be loud without being obnoxious. Deviled eggs that belong in some Southern grandma’s heirloom cookbook. Omelettes that make morning meetings tolerable. Chicken clubs that don’t play around. Nothing phoned in. Nothing lazy. And then there is the 4 to 6 PM daily happy hour. A window of salvation in the middle of a city where happy hour usually means watered down well drinks and stale fries. Here, it means quality, consistency, and maybe a few life lessons from Sal, if you are lucky. In a downtown full of culinary tourists and pretenders, CBD Provisions is the real deal. A love letter to those who still give a damn.
We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at the restaurant inside The Joule, CBD Provisions. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was upscale yet inviting—perfect for a memorable night out. Our server, Ben, was exceptional! His energy, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm elevated our evening. He offered thoughtful recommendations and made sure every course was perfectly timed and beautifully presented. The highlight of our meal was the rack of lamb—perfectly cooked, tender, and richly flavorful, topped with vibrant herbs that brought everything together. Every bite was a delight. Ask for Ben—he’ll take great care of you!
CBD is special, especially if you order the Berkshire pig head. Brined for 5 days, steamed and roasted, and served with all the accompaniments for the most memorable taco dinner you'll ever have. Besides that, the cocktails are fantastic, service top notch, and all the food is divine. We've been about 5 times, had the pig's head thrice, and a number of other dishes that keep us coming back for more. Tonight, we had the cauliflower and beef tallow fries as sides, and the Texas sheet cake and strawberry shortcake as part of a birthday dinner. Not a single shortcoming could be shared. Our 6 and 8 year old boys had a blast, just as our parents have before. You can't help but enjoy yourself. It's a beautiful restaurant, in an equally beautiful hotel, run by great people. Our server Ben was helpful, friendly, and attentive, as was the busser. And the chef came out to talk about our food, too. Highly recommend. We will be back again, and we can't wait until.
Had breakfast this morning at CBD inside The Joule, and it really hit the spot. I got the Dallas Omelet—super fluffy, came with a fresh side salad, and I added jalapeños that brought just the right amount of kick. They even had oatmilk for my coffee, which I appreciated without having to ask twice. My nephew had the pulled pork breakfast tacos, and while he thought the eggs could’ve used a little more seasoning, the pulled pork was solid and those breakfast potatoes were bussin—crispy, flavorful, and honestly the best thing on his plate. The vibe at CBD is relaxed but still feels nice. The place is bright, clean, and not too loud—just a good spot to slow down in the morning. Clarissa, our server, was great. Super friendly and on point without hovering or rushing us. We weren’t staying at The Joule, just came in for breakfast, and I’m glad we did. The food was good, the service was even better, and the whole experience felt easy and enjoyable. Would definitely come back next time I’m in downtown Dallas looking for a chill breakfast spot.
Came here on a weekend with my fiancé for brunch and Oscar was our bartender. He made us feel very welcomed and we were throughly impressed with his drink knowledge + talent. I had the benedict with house potatoes and it was perfect. Oscar surprised us with an off menu item - a Coca Cola with espresso - best drink I’ve had in a while! Top notch service, will definitely be back 🤙
Had a reservation at 5:30 we showed up earlier and they got us right in. The food and atmosphere perfection as well as the service. They had complimentary valet parking which made it so easy. We had the filet, corn, butter lettuce, deviled eggs, and beef tallow fries all with an amazing truffle butter. The cocktails were also amazing. Perfect spot for an early dinner with the girls.
We’ve been here like 30 times in the past few years and it never disappoints. We came yesterday afternoon for some drinks and food. Only wound up getting apps and sides and it was great. The carrot hummus was ridiculous - sweet and delicious and the toast was so bacony… I can’t stop thinking about it.
I can say for a fact the food is well above standards. My friends been working there the last couple years or so, and we enjoyed her birthday party there recently and I'm pretty sure we tried just about everything there was to sample! Sadly enough I only got a picture of the dish that I got, which was the red snapper, but other dishes that were served included like a raw tuna salad, diced, with nacho chips, they also brought out chips and spinach dip, a fish based dip that was really tasty, and quite a few others that I didn't even get to taste. Nonetheless everything was presented beautifully, with exceptional customer service from our server! The red snapper had a nice crispy crust to it, and the onions and zucchini that accompanied the fish were just as full in flavor. I would more than likely come back to try more exquisite dishes this place serves!
Incredible!! I took a group of friends for a birthday celebration. We shared the pigs head and got appetizers, cocktails, entrées, and desserts. Everything we had was a top tier 10. The pigs head was rich and delicious and a little terrifying but completely worth the experience. We all shared each other‘s plates and everyone was in awe of everything we ate. As far as desserts go, they were all amazing but my favorite was the banana Trifle.
We were in town working a convention and we were exhausted. Long busy weekend on our feet. We arrived around 4pm and they normally don’t start their dinner service before 5pm but they made an exception for us so I could order a steak. The steak was great - the French fried potatoes are probably a bit too fancy for me, they’re a bit more potato than steak fry - but that’s probably just me being unsophisticated. My wife had the Shaved Apple Salad with Roasted Salmon and she was in heaven. She is much more sophisticated than me! Staff was great, loved the atmosphere. She also loved the French Pressed coffee. Thank you Ashley! We’re glad we popped in!
Dark trendy restaurant inside of the Joule. The waitress was attentive and gave excellent recommendations. We had the shrimp and crab cocktail and it was actually pretty spicy in the best way possible. Usually do not expect food to be spicy and that definitely was. Not pictured but the mushroom pasta dish was absolutely incredible. Add some steak to it and you have the perfect dinner. The salmon wasn’t bad but the purée at the bottom made it definitely worth it. It was my birthday and they brought me a pineapple upside down cake which was also very good!
Came in and met a friend for brunch Restaurant was empty with the exception of 2 other tables. Ordered pastries they were sold out So ordered pimento toast Before the pimento toast came they told me they had 1 croissant and fresh blueberry muffins The croissant was underbaked and inedible The muffin didn't have many berries in it and tasted like flour needed some love Our server was slow and too chatty Got the pimento toast after a long wait and it was extremely underwhelming.. barely any pimento and an undressed unseasoned salad on top The bread was really nice though (also made at their bakery called "commissary" ) Got the eggs benedict 8/10 the corn muffin base was too heavy and lacking in flavor but the rest of the dish was heavenly especially the breakfast potatoes absolutely flawless cook and seasoning on those And the chilaquiles was phenomenal i couldn't stop eating it was so addictive every bite more interesting than the next. Really loved that dish. Would come back to try dinner I think this place when operating with its A team would be a 10/10
We went on a Sunday evening. No reservation was needed. We got a table immediately. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and nice. Started with the Pig Head Fritters. Very light and fluffy served with a cilantro crema. Next, we had the ribeye with a twice baked potato. It was seasoned well. It was cooked closer to medium rare. We ordered medium. It was still tasty. The potato was okay. For dessert, we enjoyed the Peanut Butter Bar. An airy peanut butter mousse between dark chocolate with caramel drizzle, peanuts and whipped cream. Delicious!
We had quail bbq & rice for dinner and it was okay (too much bbq on side). The soup (tomato, cream and basil) tasted good. I guess Carrots as side are expensive for what it worth. However, I said it’s our anniversary while booking a reservation and they surprised us a with a nice dessert platter as a compliment. We are quite pleased with that gesture.
AMBIENCE, great food offerings, but the service is lacking. The atmosphere rivals any NYC restaurant . The food is delicious and priced right. I SAW my waiter, Oscar , ONE time and even then he was not very friendly and rushed. Looks like he could use some help. Hiram, the new host, is awesome! Overall, I recommend CBD. They do need to work on their level of service and their smiles 🤔
Overall food had its’ ups and downs. Service seemed a little short staffed, but our waiter was nice once he got the time to come over to our table. Pig head carnitas: very good, extremely fatty but delicious, skin was crispy, and meat was very tender. It was a good portion, but it our opinion, probably better to get with a larger group vs two people due to the fattiness/heaviness of the dish. (Also would have been nice for the person that brought our dish to explain the…dish) Smoked bone marrow: satisfying, but you only get one bone. Portion could have been better for $22. Lump crab toast: nice freshness, but very bland. It definitely acked something. Cobia ceviche: would recommend, had a very nice pop of acid. Fish was firm and fresh.
The entrance and initial service was exceptional. Friendliness of staff are good and the gentleman asked how I am. The peach salad portion is EXTREMELY small, hardly enough for half a person. Would not even satisfy a little kid. The salad is fresh and it’s chunky. The salad is presented with some peaches, tomatoes (yellow and red), mint with pleasant fresh sauce underneath the salad. Bigger portions then it would be a perfect choice The burger was tasty.
