Opinions de Sadelle's Dallas Dallas
My granddaughter was one month old when we started strolling from my daughter’s home. We ate at Sadelles every Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and some evenings. It is our home away from home. The friends we made are life long. Carly, Anton, Paola, Eric. We absolutely love Sadelles!!! And the food is always a reminder of my other home NYC!!!
Wow, loved my visit to Sadelle’s! The staff makes you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in, and the place has a really nice industrial chic vibe. My favorite items were the sangria (so fresh, sweet, & actually pretty strong!) and the charcuterie board which had so many unique and delicious flavors. My entree was the schnitzel which was tasty, but I loved my fiancée’s double decker sandwich more. Would highly recommend this spot for any special occasion—birthdays, anniversaries, or a girls brunch.
The burger was great, very tasty. Attentive and friendly service, as always. This was my third time there, all have been great.
Went here for brunch with my best friend and had a great time. I loved everything about this place the ambiance, the decor, the food, everything was fabulous. The omelette and egg salad tower was to die for. The latte was made perfect and the service was wonderful. I would definitely go back!
Recently visited Sadelle’s for brunch and had an awesome experience. If you like a classic NY/Jewish style bagel with fresh fish, then Sadelle’s is one of the best options is Dallas. Everything was super fresh and delicious! The service was great and the ambiance is very nice as well.
Loved the No. 1 Steak pop up! The pre-fixed menu makes it approachable for all pallets and wallets, plus you and upgrade to some of the best Wagyu (Rosewood) Dallas has to offer. Chef Keith and his entire team do it right. Plus the coffee and food offering during the day at Sadelle’s is just as good!
We had a wonderful experience here!! I was a little worried after reading the reviews to be honest but nothing was underwhelming about our experience. Our server (Stephen I believe was his name) was fantastic, the food didn’t disappoint at all- we had oysters, tuna crudo, potato latkas, and the in house smoked salmon bagel. All of the drinks were delicious too. Yes, this place is pricey but we knew that before going and I wasn’t disappointed in anything we got. There’s a lot of reviews complaining about them being out of things. We didn’t experience that yesterday but I know the current state of the food market is absolutely crazy right now, in fact it’s not even predicted to start getting better until 2025, so people need to show some grace in that regard because it’s not in the control of restaurant owners or their managers. I will definitely be back and will recommend this place to my foodie friends. Thank you!
I don’t know what people are saying. This place is fantastic! From the moment we walked in we were seated fairly quickly, despite there being a wait. And we had an amazing spread of bagels, smoked salmon, and then had a few other items on their brunch menu. We even had a slight issue where my mocha came out too sweet and they swiftly corrected it. Please give this place a try and add this to your weekend brunch routine you won’t be disappointed! As a former New York, the bagels are spot on!
Had a great time here. Nice atmosphere, good service and tasty food. Came for brunch with friends and had the Eggs Benedict with Avocado, classic Egg Sandwich, Potato side, Chocolate Babka, Marble Brownie, Almond Croissant, Bellini, Mimosa, Iced Coffee and Camomile tea. All were good, and the croissant and benedict were the best.
Came here a little while ago for Father’s Day! Food here is fantastic and staff are all so friendly. We ordered the salmon, Bronzino, shrimp cocktail and the pigs in a blanket. Everything came out superb and we had such a great time here! It is such a beautiful restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
Our waiter Kevin was exceptional! I’d love to leave a review that contributes to his merit as an employee at Sadelle’s. He weathered many complex requests and changes with ease and peace and expertise; one being making sure a piece of the menu was made for me even though the kitchen was more prepped to prioritise another part of the menu in the moment. Between Kevin and the kitchen our experience was great!
Dinner was delicious. The zoey salad was really fresh with grilled salmon, small cubes of asparagus, and I loved the sliced potatoes. The salad is a perfect size to share with 3-4 people as an appetizer. Pickle side was small but nice strong flavor. The brazino was cooked perfectly with a nice crust on the skin and the spinach had just the right combo of garlic and sesame seeds. The burger and fries are good but the other dishes are better. I loved the matzoh ball soup. It had one giant matzah ball and it melted in my mouth. Atmosphere is fun with 70’s music, high ceilings, and a food hall feel.
This past Friday, I had lunch with friends at the brand new Sadelle’s in Highland Park Village in Dallas, Texas. Sadelle’s recently opened a week ago, and there has been significant buzz about this New York City eatery opening up in the tony enclave of Highland Park, Texas. We arrived right when the main dining room opened at 11am (on the weekends, the dining room opens earlier - I list the hours below). Wednesday - Friday 11:00AM - 9:00PM Saturday & Sunday 9:00AM - 9:00PM Regarding opening hours, there is a also coffeeshop style café open from 8am-4pm located in a portion of Sadelle's. We did not have a reservation; although, we had put ourselves at the waiting list and after a 45-minute wait, we were finally seated. By noon the restaurant was full, and the atmosphere was boisterous. The space is decorated elegantly and looks very similar to Balthazar in New York City with the banquettes and large glass windows looking out. Prices are in the Highland Park stratosphere (ie not for those who are necessarily budget-sensitive), but I thought you could find good deals on the menu and the scene is definitely worth the expense. We began with the sable for $25, which comes in a three-tiered tower along with tomatoes, cucumbers and capers as well as assorted bagels and cream cheese for the table. The fish was good - although it would have been better to share between two people instead of four. However, that was fine, since the entrees are quite large. One of my friends had the Waldorf salad, which was big enough for three meals. In fact all of their salads are the same enormous size. I shared the triple decker club sandwich with turkey and bacon ($31) with my brother, and it was plenty for the two of us. We also added a side order of fries for $8. The sandwich was on a pedestal and is definitely presented in world-class fashion. While I don’t believe it to be the best club sandwich I have ever had, it is definitely above average and worth trying. Overall, the atmosphere is worth checking out, and you can always have coffee in the café attached to the restaurant if you have trouble getting a reservation or are on a more limited budget.
Made reservation because I heard this place can get busy. Walked in and told host about reservation and got seated right away. Cute atmosphere! Server was very friendly and attentive. Here I ordered the blueberry pancakes. They are HUGE but delicious! Will definitely be back.
Sadelle’s – Highland Park, TX ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sadelle’s in Highland Park is the perfect stop before or after a day of shopping. Whether you’re grabbing breakfast or lunch, the food is fresh, the bagels are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is spotless and stylish. The service? Absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and efficient. It’s Highland Park, so of course, expect nothing but the best.
Sadelle's way exceeded my expectations. I thought maybe I'd be paying for the atmosphere and not the quality of food but I was proven wrong. Met a friend at noon on a weekday. Loved that we happened to be there in the time frame in which both the breakfast (served until 3pm) and lunch (served after 11am) menus were available. The restaurant is stunning! It's divided up into a large dining room with tables and banquettes and a walk-up coffee bar. Lots of outdoor tables and umbrellas as well. Restaurant has a full breakfast and lunch menu along with a coffee, cocktail, beer and wine selection. Coffee bar has downstairs and upstairs seating (upper level overlooking the lower). The order counter in this area has hot and iced drinks, bagels, breakfast tacos and sandwiches and an assortment of pastries and chips. I was in the mood for breakfast but wanted to keep it healthy-ish. Had a black coffee and decided on the Healthy Egg Sandwich. The 3 ingredients listed sounded kinda blah, but the server asked if all ingredients were desired and there was quite a list. The Healthy Egg Sandwich was honestly the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spicy kick to it. I savored every bite! I do with it came with a small side of some sort - fruit or breakfast potatoes. Atmosphere was fabulous. Lots of well-dressed Highland Parkers dining solo and in groups. Plenty of others sipping coffee and working on laptops. I look forward to stopping in again next time I'm in Highland Park Village.
We had a delightful experience here. The bagel tower from the fish section was the real winner. What a great trip for our palette. I highly recommend it. The salmon egg benedic was just like other places. The coffee was great and the chicken fry sandwich had great flavor. Unfortunately they do not have a kids menu or we were not handed one. Overall highly recommend it.👍👍👍👍👍
Had an amazing experience here last with my lady. We were treated kindly by our server and he gave us awesome tips. We ended up getting the porterhouse and skirt steak and 3 sides. It was a bit much for the two of us but we are glad to have some delicious food for the new year! Can’t wait to be back!
Such a beautiful restaurant with amazing food and amazing service. I recommend the Cobb salad, it’s so nice and a great starter, as it’s a large portion. The shrimp and pigs in a blanket were also great. They have a nice selection of mocktails and cocktails. Overall great location, I can’t wait to visit again.
We came for the Steak no 1 pop up!!! We had the most fabulous server Matt! I don’t know what was better the food or the service! Matt was on fire getting our drinks out & making sure our food was perfection. He is the person you want taking care of you. And the entire staff at night was fabulous as well. The food runners, the ladies refilling water everyone was synched up! Let’s get to the food!! Absolutely loved everything! The shrimp cocktail was so fresh & delicious. Everyone was loving it. The bread was absolutely the best ever. That butter was nuts!!!! Then comes this fabulous salad with cucumbers thinly sliced, green beans & a fabulous dressing. While you’re chatting you start getting onion rings & French fries delivered to your table. Then each person’s steak is set in front of them & you feel like you’ve died & gone to heaven. Where do you start??? The onion rings have a funnel cake feel & are seasoned to perfection. The fries are to die for as well. The steak is so tender it just melts in your mouth. You think you are done & a sundae appears!!!! Jesus help me! We also got the gorgeous chocolate cake with coconut cream!!!! Crazy great! We truly had a lively time & want to say thank you for such a lovely dining experience! Fabulous food & service!
Had a fantastic breakfast experience! The potatoes were perfectly crisp and seasoned to perfection, and the breakfast tacos were absolutely amazing. Our server, Dylan, went above and beyond with his attentiveness—he even offered to keep my food warm when I had to step away for a phone call, which I really appreciated. The French toast (pictured) was incredible, with a light, crispy exterior and a fluffy inside that was a delight to bite into. The coffee was top-notch and complemented the meal beautifully. Highly recommend!
My bride and I stopped in for breakfast this past weekend. It was a lovely meal with great service. The coffee was excellent as were both our dishes. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the morning sun along with a hearty breakfast, couldn't have been any better.
Wanted a taste of New York, and was not disappointed! Excellent service, fresh ingredients, lively crowd with just the right amount of quiet. We blew out the budget and got the Sadelles Tower, which is all the kinds of prepared fish and bagels. New favorite for bagels in our far-away Texas land.
Had reservations this past weekend. Food here was fantastic and staff are all so friendly. We ordered Coconut Shrimp, Veal Pelmeni, Triple Decker, Salmon Bagel Tower and their Special Cheeseburger which was cooked to perfection. Everything came out superb and we had such a great time. It is such a beautiful restaurant with an amazing ambiance. I highly recommend this place and believe it’s been underrated.
I can't say enough good things about Sadelle's in HP. I stop in regularly for my morning coffee, and every visit is such a great experience. The team is always warm, welcoming, and truly goes above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere makes it a place I genuinely look forward to visiting. Mcgill, Jordan, Dylan, Anton, Carly, and Austin all do an incredible job! Thank you for making Sadelle's such a special part of my daily routine.
Everything was great from start to finish. The food was really yummy—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very nice, bright, and inviting, making it a perfect spot for brunch. Our waiter was extremely attentive and made the experience even better. He spoke both Spanish and English, which we really appreciated. Overall, a wonderful dining experience. I would definitely come back and highly recommend Sadelle’s in Dallas!
8/10 experience at Sadelle’s! Would recommend the French toast (it’s to die for), and going for the vibe! We shared a couple of things - latkes, french toast, pigs in a blanket. Serving sizes are very generous and the restaurant is super cute inside. Service was a bit slow - they were busy Saturday at 12:30pm when we arrived, and had to wait for our table to be ready.
As someone who loves the Sadelles in New York this was a pleasant surprise! The French toast is a must as well as their Eggs Benedict which is done so well! It’s light and airy which is perfect! Get the Latkes too! The espresso martini is absolutely delicious and is up there with the best in Dallas! If you’re looking for a lively brunch spot that has great food this is the place!
I arrived at Sadelle’s - Highland Park Village hungry and left spiritually reborn.🙏 The salmon tower is not food, it’s a lifestyle choice. Towering. Luxurious. So fresh it felt like it had a skincare routine. I briefly considered canceling all my plans and committing my life to it #YesPlease The eggs benedict? Criminally good 🙌🏽 Perfectly poached, dripping in hollandaise like it knew exactly what it was doing. One bite and suddenly all my past brunch disappointments flashed before my eyes.👀👀 The atmosphere is elite chaos in the best way. Vibrant, chic, buzzing with people who clearly understand the importance of a proper brunch moment💃🏽 And then there’s the absolute legend behind the curtain, the fantabulous GM McGill. Warm, charming, effortlessly running the place like a hospitality wizard. The kind of GM who makes you feel seen, fed, and emotionally supported all at once. Yasss!!! 😊 10/10. Would return immediately. Would bring friends; heck, I Would bring enemies just to flex 🤗Sadelle’s is doing the most, and I support it fully. 💕
Amazing spot for brunch. The food was delicious but the portions are BIG. Service was attentive and very quick despite it being busy. It can get pretty busy so making a reservation is advised. I wish they had warned us about that as I hate leaving food on the table, but we were able to take most of the leftover food home.
We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time, waiter was very friendly & got everything right. Didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or food, and everything tasted amazing! Expectations were low because of the reviews we saw but we walked out with no complaints & would definitely recommend
We’ve been to this gem a few times now, and it never disappoints. Whether for brunch or dinner, the quality and atmosphere are always on point. Our go-to dishes, which we keep ordering again and again, include the classic Eggs Benedict, the refreshing Frozen Cosmo, and the indulgent Inside-Out Bagel Sandwich. Each one is always prepared to perfection. On our most recent visit, we had the chance to try their evening concept, No. 1 Steak, and it did not disappoint. The experience was top-notch, and we’re already planning our next visit to dive into more of their offerings. Highly recommend!
I went on a Thursday morning with my cousin for a 10:30 AM reservation and was seated right away. Unfortunately, the section we had hoped for didn’t have a server available, so we were placed elsewhere. For breakfast, we both ordered custom omelets, and they were absolutely delicious. The prices are on the higher side, but the charming atmosphere made it worth it. I’d definitely return to try more dishes from their menu. As a reader, I especially loved browsing through the little library near the entrance of the restaurant after our breakfast!
Absolutely adored my experience at Sadelle’s! We went for a Brunch date and it did not disappoint. I ordered the House Salmon with Everything bagel with an iced salted caramel latté. My partner ordered the Leo Omelette with a side of potatoes and drip coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious! The star of the meal was their “Big Pink Cake” that we shared. Oh. My. Goodness. Dessert is my love language and that cake did not disappoint. It was truly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and I promptly informed my partner that it had to be my birthday cake for all my future birthdays. Highly recommend Sadelle’s. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but worth it.
I’m extremely disappointed with the experience at this restaurant today. From the moment I arrived, things were frustrating. Despite having a 2:15 reservation and arriving early, we were made to wait an unreasonably long time. What’s more, the front desk staff was unusually unfriendly, and I watched as they seated a 2:30 reservation before ours. We were then led to a table that hadn’t even been properly cleaned.(P2) To make matters worse, when our food finally arrived, I found a hair in one of the dishes – completely unacceptable. Throughout the meal, the service was virtually nonexistent. The server didn’t check in at all to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. The situation only got worse when I was given a dirty fork and had to wait a long time for it to be replaced by another server. Lastly, the soup was shockingly greasy, as shown in the photo 1. I used to enjoy the food here and had visited multiple times, but after today’s experience, I don’t think I’ll be coming back..
Recommended for first time visitors to the area for the unique experience and quality food. Wasn't flawless execution on filling our order during their busiest time of day, yet the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our time.
Sadelle's Dallas brings the iconic New York brunch scene to the heart of Highland Park Village. The restaurant boasts a bright and airy ambiance, with plenty of seating both indoors and on the patio. The menu features all the classic Sadelles favorites, from the iconic bagels and schmears to the decadent eggs Benedict and smoked salmon platters. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sadelle's Dallas, and I was thoroughly impressed. I started with the eggs Benedict with salmon, which were cooked to perfection with a runny yolk, tender hollandaise sauce, and generous slices of smoked salmon. The everything bagel with chives and cream cheese was the perfect accompaniment, offering a delightful combination of savory and salty flavors. For drinks, I opted for the Aperol Spritz, a refreshing and bubbly cocktail that was perfect for a sunny Dallas morning. My dining companion enjoyed the mimosas, which were made with fresh orange juice and a generous pour of prosecco. Overall, Sadelle's Dallas is a fantastic spot for a leisurely brunch or a special occasion. The food is delicious, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. I highly recommend trying the eggs Benedict with salmon, the mimosas, and the everything bagel with chives and cream cheese. You won't be disappointed!
Sadelle’s has a lot of potential. Beautiful decor and space and a good, limited menu (as all the best places have). Unfortunately, they have not mastered the service and seem to overbook so that the kitchen cannot keep up. Still, the staff did their best and recognized the mistake. Oysters were fantastic. Salmon salad was absolutely delicious and espresso martini was well done. My friend ordered the Benedict and raved. Would return after a few months when they’ve had time to get bearings.
Great spot for brunch/lunch in Highland Park Village. To me, this one doesn’t seem quite on par with the NYC original, but it’s still enjoyable. The fish towers are the star, although I think the bagels are just okay. The atmosphere is open, airy and always lively. Great place to enjoy a bottle of wine or champagne on a lazy day.
We went here over the weekend. Our server was good and we loved the decor of the restaurant. The food was tasty - I really liked the eggs benedict. Great hollandaise. I gave it four stars because the food was pricey and I didn't feel like I received a lot of it. We both left hungry but didn't want to order anything else because it was already rather expensive. Wish the portion sizes were just a bit bigger.
Overall, a fancier dining place. Lovely decor and atmosphere. A little pricey but the food was good - we had the eggs Benedict, breakfast tacos and a shared breakfast potato dish. Highchairs are available for children but I don’t believe there was a kids menu so we ordered a bagel / cream cheese for our child.
-1 star because we had reservations at 2:30 and weren’t seated until 3:10. Cute vibe and excellent service from our waitress (wish we still had her name to commend her!). Food was pretty good and portions were way larger than expected. My husband did get the “special cheeseburger” and said it was really un-special lol. He definitely used up all the ketchup they gave him for it. The fries on the side were so delicious though, I’m weirdly picky about fries and these were so crisp and yummy, I couldn’t stop picking at them! I got the blueberry pancakes and they were really good and HUGE; I couldn’t eat all of it. I would like to try this location again for a dinner but a little concerned about the reservation timeliness in the future and unsure how to plan.
Not a lot of plant based options. The staff here is very tentative. It’s very clean. The atmosphere is very charming and cozy and inviting. They seemed to have a decent menu with a good variety. It is a little on the pricey side but it’s Highland Village parking is a bit tough Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. I’ll definitely come back if only for Coffee.
The food was definitely good. My bf and i got burgers and they were ok. As an appetizer we had gotten coconut shrimp which was the highlight of our meal. I probably would not come back here because it was so expensive and the seating was really close. It felt like we couldn’t have our own conversation. But nevertheless if you want to go somewhere to take pictures and eat decent food and youre willing to pay the price i say go
i wish i wrote this review more timely to our reservation. i believe we had brian as our waiter and he was great. super attentive and patient and thorough. loved him!! my hot take on sadelles is that the food is just mid. the caviar is great but there’s nothing else on the menu that i love. they do have gluten free options, pancakes and bagels. also, you can get a benedict on a potato latkes (essentially a hash brown).
Made a reservation for Sunday brunch. We were seated in a timely manner. The atmosphere and aesthetics of the place were amazing. Really liked the design, decor, and overall vibe. We ordered coffee, eggs benedict, a bagel, and a sandwich. The coffee was decent. The sandwich was nothing special. It can easily be made at home. The avocado and salmon eggs Benedict however were amazing. They were filled with flavor and even the bread/bun was spectacular. The bagel was also great. Definitely worth trying at-least once.
We were pretty excited about our reservations to Sadelles as we do not live in state but come every year during the holidays since they’ve opened. Food was up to par but for the price we pay service and follow up was disappointing. We also took a friend who lives locally and I hyped it up that she would love the whole experience. Our crème fraiche had a string hair in and only noticed it after we had eaten it. We gave it to a worker passing by and they brought us a new one and in hindsight we should have given it to our server. We let it go things happen. We have all at one point worked in the restaurant business and understand this. As we were getting ready to pay the bill, my husband was finishing his mimosa and almost bit and gulped down a METAL piece as he thought it was ice. I pulled a manager and Taylor apologized and said he took the “drink off the bill”. I explained we already paid and he said we should see a reflected on my credit card ( did not give us any assurance just by his response) It’s been a week and have not seen anything taken off the bill or any follow up. Disappointed with the service with the price we paid. UPDATE 1/8 Thank you, Mcgill for reaching out and also taking the time to understand our disappointment with customer service as this was not what we expected and efforts to make things right. Sadelle's is a go to for us especially in Dallas but also most recent to the one in Paris and Las Vegas. Overall updating Sadelle's from 2 stars to 4 for the follow up.
Sadelle’s Highland Park is absolutely adorable — such a chic and stylish spot! We just stopped in for tea and coffee, and it was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy. The space is bright, elegant, and so thoughtfully designed, making it feel both upscale and cozy at the same time. It’s definitely one of the cutest cafés in Dallas and a place I’d love to come back to for the full brunch experience.
First time here, amazing and cute place. Plenty of seating. Got the blueberry pancakes, and honestly they were a bit overcooked in my opinion but overall good-not too sweet which I liked and was able to make sweeter with syrup. My friend got the French toast and it was good but super sweet. It was fried and it tasted exactly like funnel cake. I got the salted caramel latte hot, was amazing. My friend got their seasonal latte which was a sticky buns latte she also got hot and it was really good. Overall good will definitely come back to try their salmon and bagels next time. Service was nice and place was clean.
Decor is fabulous, cocktails are divine (try the strawberry and mint mock tail if you don’t want to drink). Parking is horrific. Salads and chicken burger is delicious, but whatever you do… do NOT order the French toast. It’s deep fried and just pouring with oil. It’s gross. You actually feel like you need a week at a health retreat after one bite.
I hate leaving not great reviews but didn't love Sadelle's. Been a couple times and gave it a few tries but the coffee/pastries are very overpriced and not high quality in my opinion. Staff/service and atmosphere is great though and its a fun place to grab a coffee or meet up with a friend, just not the best food in my opinion.
Haha starting from laughing here. I can totally see why they have such a mixed reviews. We had a reservation for six people for our brunch and we waited 30+ mins to be seated. Manager or counter person did apologize for this so I am not gonna blame her— but it’s definitely an excessive waiting despite you made a reservation. Food and price was ridiculous haha the fish tray thing you get literally gives you one bagel (which totally looked like you get from Costco) with super thinly sliced fish and veggies (see the pictures), custom omelette was literally a tiny pan fried flat shaped egg mix with no sides or whatsoever, egg benedict also comes with no sides, tiny portion (i am a tiny girl and that one egg benedict is not even my fist size)…. if we didn’t order three appetizers, this wouldn’t even feed us much. But everything was nearly $30 per dishes. Oh I wouldn’t mind paying hundreds for a good food. This was just not even worth $15 quality and quantity. Service is super slow, we spent two hours there at the table because the server wouldn’t come. Yes the atmosphere and design is cute here with such a nice location, but nope, avoid this place.. still giving three starts because I enjoyed the brunch which became lunch with my friends..:)
The restaurant itself is beautiful — clean, stylish, and has a great vibe for a romantic dinner. We both ordered the $59 steak experience, and while everything was well-presented and cooked fine, the flavor was underwhelming for something advertised as “the #1 steak.” It just didn’t have that wow factor we were expecting. Service-wise, our server was polite but not very attentive. Drinks sat empty for a while, and the overall flow felt a little disconnected — which, at this level, makes a difference. All in all, good food and nice ambiance, but not quite worth the premium price. For the cost, I expected stronger service and a more memorable meal. Maybe my expectations were too high?
Second time im here, the ambiance is great, the location is amazing! However, the food is mediocre. I had a flat white, which initially was made as a cappuccino i asked the barista to revise and had to explain the flat white doesn’t come with a thick layer of foam, other than that the coffee is great. The caprese sandwich i had was really bitter and extremely garlicy. The pesto had long strands of basil stems, it wasn’t salty enough and they didn’t add the key component of a caprese - balsamic vinegar. I mean it takes some talent to mess up a caprese sandwich. I will probably come again because the atmosphere and coffee are great!!
The restaurant itself is in a gorgeous area, the decor and interior overall is glamorous, very pretty. Perfect for a Girly Brunch, so I brought my mom in for her birthday. Upon being sat down, our server Jonathan took a long time to even greet us/ask about drinks. I could go on about how Jonathan's service left much to be desired. The other staff I met was kind. Food was mid, the French toast was too oily in the center??Couldn't eat it. I am very disappointed with my experience, I Will give it another chance at a later time, just because it is such a pretty place.
My bf and I visited in December 2022, for a bday surprise for him. Best french toast we’ve ever had, the food was top tier. The decor was pleasant & inviting. The service was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had. The host/server was extremely rude, very unmindful about our presence, & did not seem caring about the representation of the restaurant - and when she did attend to us, her attitude was appalling. You could tell this was not just a bad day, this was her personality.
Food arrived cold and one meal had to be sent back when the server dropped part of it on the floor. I ate after my other guess, having to wait for them to cook my meal again. Asparagus arrived completely overcooked and totally limp. I stated I wanted to order a bottle of champagne and the waitress handed me the book, price listed was $39. I was charged $156 and told their pricing had not been updated yet! I was told upon my complaint that the book was priced by the glass but it did not state that in the book and the waitress was aware that I was ordering a bottle. Upon speaking to the female manager about the issue she rolled her eyes and said she would take it under advisement. Severely disappointed and certainly this should not be in Highland Park Village. I would say that this restaurant is on par with any basic diner would be but due to its location in HPV it is failing miserably. Music excessively loud as well
If you have a preference of being in an establishment to say you’re there vs actually having great food, this is the place for you. Although the mimosas were great, the amount served for a $15 drink is laughable. There were several drinks and entrees that were not available , and the food we ordered was okay . One of my friends ordered the salmon bagel and it was underwhelming to say the least. Also, I never knew that salmon could be cut so thin lol. The amount of salmon served with the bagel was actually thin as paper. I personally had the egg sandwich classic and thought it was also oookay. The sandwich had an unnecessary amount of mayonnaise and felt it was something I could have made at home. I understand that the restaurant is a well known establishment in New York but feel there are restaurants here in Dallas that are 10x better for brunch than this. I’m giving this place 2 starts because the flavor and quality of food didn’t match what we paid. I felt the servers were trying to rush us and felt weird about 3 different people waiting on us.
We had brunch at the highly anticipated (and highly overpriced) Sadelle’s. I wish we would have waited longer to make our reservation because they are clearly still working out some kinks. For starters, the restaurant was only half-full. No wonder it takes so long to get a reservation. The music was obnoxiously loud and their outdoor seating is “first come, first serve” for the cafe only. My $22 French Toast had a hair in it. I asked for my $16 Espresso Martini to be remade because it didn’t look right and the manager all but rolled her eyes at my request. As for the positives, our server was great, the interior design was cute, and my husband’s Egg Benedict ($26) and side potatoes ($8) were good. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be rushing back here for a while.
The parking is self serve or valet. Self serve is horrible and in Highland Park Village to say the least. Food prices are outrageous for the taste. Rent in Highland Park, you knew B4 signing the lease but to pass the fee to customers by charging 27.00 for a bland Waldorf Salad and 18.00 for what appears to be pigs in a blanket but passing off as Best Friends Breakfast Tacos is ridiculous. I am accustomed to high quality restaurants i.e Perry's, Eddie Vs, Dakota and more along with quality food. The service and ambiance was great. Oh let's not forget about 16.00 Mimosa.
We hadn't planned on coming here but decided last minute when our first choice was closed. We ordered the matzo ball soup, the mushroom barley soup, the house salmon with the caviar, and then some kind of pineapple cocktail. The mushroom barley soup was really good! And the salmon was ok although I could have done without the rye toast or the caviar. Our bill came out to $101 before tip which I thought was absurd given how little we actually ate, but I guess maybe this is normal given the area. All in all, the value for money wasn't there for me at all, the food was ok, the drink was ok, and we had to stop at McDonald's on the way home. I probably wouldn't be back just based on this alone but I hear they have good bagels. @DallasFoodFun
Been going to Sadelles in nyc since it opened. Am a big fan of Major Food Group! I lived next door to soho Sadelles. Dallas Sadelles was a far cry from that. Decor was nice and atmosphere was there. The service was extremely slow. 20 mins for a matcha latte. Long curly hair was on top of my grapefruit cocktail. I saw it before the busboy even set it down on the table. Bagel was borderline hard. French toast was WAY too oily. I’m shocked at how bad the food was.
The restaurant was very cute but we were very disappointed by our server, and the fact that our food all came very cold. The server did not ask us a single time how our food was and was very hard to flag down. Would not recommend this place to anyone! Save your money and go somewhere else. You cannot even contact the restaurant over the phone and give them feedback on their service so the level of caring is very low
We had to walk out after 40 minutes of waiting for our food. We talked with the server and he was completely oblivious. 1 star review is being generous. Tom Thumb should’ve never been replaced.
Warning is is not for Sadelles but No.1 Steak. The place is cute and The onion rings were far and away the best part of the meal. The food I would put at mediocre at best and for this to be a Carbone concept i had high hopes but those were quickly dashed. The server greeted us 20 minutes after being seated. The first thing he said do you want to hear the specials or will I be wasting my time. He never came back to check on us, never asked if we wanted a second drink very unprofessional gentleman. The steak i had a large piece of silver skin running through it and i really wish they didn’t put the brown sauce over the steak. To their credit, they had to put some kind of sauce on the steak because it would’ve otherwise been very dry and that was the only thing that gave it any flavor or texture other than chewy. The peppercorn sauce was honestly embarrassing for a restaurant to have serve. I’m happy I told the food running not to put it on the steak. For $60 a person you get a very strange salad mix, bad steak, great onion rings and a less than desirable ice cream. I also kept seeing bread and when I inquired the server just ignored my question. We left hungry and went to Musume and had a much better time and better food at a much more reasonable cost.
Drove 45 miles for takeout. Ordered 4 bagels and received 2. Ordered sliced salmon and got what looks like salmon salad. Total incompetence, and shame on me for assuming Sadelle’s doesn’t pull stunts like this to make a few extra dollars.
The website advertises a daily happy hour from 4-6. Last evening we battled rush hour traffic only to arrive at the cafe at 5:30 to find there is no happy hour. Our nonplussed reaction was received with the bland unapologetic explanation that “I guess they haven’t updated the website”. Ya think? Guess we should have called ahead, but silly us we assumed that Sadelle’s would keep their website current. Swing and a miss, guys.
for being a steak pop-up, no. 1 steak was terrible. the steak had so much gristle and fat, and the edges were so tough that only about half was edible. beware of upgrading to the ribeye, it’s $180 for a steak that’s even worse than the described default strip. the onion rings were heavy and greasy, everyone only ate less than a single ring. service was less attentive than sadelle’s. the only good parts were the dinner rolls and the salad. overall would not try again or recommend. 👎
Update: lowering to one star. Manager/owner’s response is a FAKE attempt to improve. I actually took the time to email my feedback and it’s been over 9 days and no response. Skip this place, no wonder their customer service is lacking when management is like this. ———— I was really underwhelmed by my first time at Sadelle’s. I think Sadelle’s might be the weakest link at Highland Park Village for the restaurants, even below Bistro 31. I was surprised that the salad cost more than Honor Bar but was one of the soggiest and worst tasting salads I’ve had. Service was horrible and unfriendly, they never refilled the water and we actually got up to refill our own water. Any breakfast items we got I could have made better at home. I also questioned how clean the restaurant was, based on the tableware.
I’ve been a loyal customer at Saddles since it opened in Dallas Highland Park, coming almost weekly. After today, I honestly don’t know how I feel about returning. My sisters and I were having lunch, and they went to the bar to order drinks. My older sister (not veiled) ordered her usual drink with cold foam—no issue, no explanation, nothing said about it being a special request. A few minutes later, my younger sister, who wears a veil, ordered the exact same drink from a different employee and was told, “we don’t make that, we don’t have cold foam.” When she went to pick up both drinks, she saw that my older sister’s drink had cold foam and hers didn’t. She asked why, and instead of acknowledging it or offering to correct it, another staff member simply said, “we usually don’t make that,” again in a rude tone. No apology. No effort to fix it. The inconsistency between how the two identical orders were handled was very evident and felt discriminatory. When we raised the issue with one employee, they informed the manager. We watched the manager (Taylor) ask the staff about it, yet he never came to our table, never acknowledged the situation, and continued unpacking boxes even as we addressed him directly while leaving. There was no apology. As a manager, being informed directly that the situation was racist and still choosing not to address it with us is unacceptable. Mistakes can happen, but ignoring customers and dismissing a clear racism service issue is unacceptable, especially from management. 1 star — based on how the situation was handled and the lack of professionalism from the manager.
I honestly don’t even know where to start, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed or felt such obvious discrimination, especially with the manager (Taylor) standing there and essentially supporting it. My sister and I went to order coffee at the bar. For context, I wear a hijab, and my older sister does not. We ordered and paid separately. When I asked to add cold foam to my drink, the employee taking my order told me they “don’t offer cold foam.” I didn’t question it at first and just said okay. But then my sister came back with her drink and it had cold foam. So I went back with my drink (which had no cold foam) and asked the barista, Carlee who was standing next to the same employee who took my order, why my sister received cold foam when I was told it wasn’t available. Carlee responded, “Yeah, we usually don’t offer it,” and that was it. No attempt to fix it, no apology, nothing. The way she answered made it painfully clear what was happening. It felt like the only difference between my sister and me was that I wear a hijab and she doesn’t. I was shocked. It’s literally just cold foam, yet they refused to give it to me while giving it to her. Then the manager Taylor came down and spoke with Carlee and another employee, Rebecca. My sister and I genuinely expected him to come over, acknowledge what happened, and apologize for such an obvious act of discrimination that took place right under his watch. Instead, he finished talking to them, walked to the front, and started opening Amazon packages as if nothing had happened. As we were leaving, we approached him ourselves and asked if he had heard what happened. His response was, “Yeah, we’re trying to work and add the cold foam.” That was completely missing the point. He wouldn’t even make eye contact with us, no respect, no concern, no accountability. It was clear he didn’t care at all. I kept thinking if this happened to us so openly, how many others has it happened to? I genuinely hope no one ever has to feel the way I felt that someone purposely denied you something simple because of your religion or how you choose to dress, while giving it freely to someone standing right next to you just because they assumed we weren’t related and I wouldn’t find out.
Overall Rating: 2/10 - Sadelle’s is officially the lowest rating I’ve ever given a restaurant. This place is extremely overhyped by the bigger food blog accounts and I’m not here for it!!! The only good thing about the restaurant is that it was cute but it had no vibe so it just cancelled out. - Maybe we didn’t order the right things but either way the food was not prepared well AT ALL. Look at that tuna melt sandwich!!! The picture at the end shows how we picked it apart and that it literally had a Kraft single package cheese in it like what?!?!? In Highland Park?!?! The tuna salad was literally just canned tuna and mayo like no other seasonings were in there or even some chopped celery?????? Omg I’m still so mad about how badly prepared this sandwich was. This was literally prison food!!!!! - French fries were the good skinny kind BUT they were cold -_____- like I’m not a Karen about cold fries but everything was so bad the fries couldn’t be hot at least?! - The only decent thing was the New York pickles because I liked the crunch of them and the green beans were nice but that’s it. - Literally so disappointed and annoyed how overhyped this place was. However, the Google reviews did rate this place around 3 stars which is already a red flag but I was not expecting it to be THIS bad. Save your money, go to the other restaurants in Highland Park and don’t come here. IG: @north tx.gemz
Ordered two lattes yesterday and wasn't impressed. They had all their milks sitting out on bar mats at the end of the counter sweating and some were hot or at room temperature. The skim milk had been leaking and crusted over on the top of the lid, and just didn’t look appealing. I asked for a milk from the fridge and they were very accommodating. The espresso tasted pretty burnt and the ice melted before I could take a sip. This was my first time trying the cafe so I’ll give it another try. Hopefully for food safety reasons they’ll keep the milks refrigerated going forward, test espresso machine to see why shots are burning and add some more ice to iced drinks.
I usually enjoy coming to Sadelle’s the food and atmosphere are great, and staff like Antwon and Jayden always provide excellent service. However, there’s one lady who consistently has the worst attitude and a completely unprofessional demeanor. Every time I visit, she’s unpleasant and dismissive, which really brings down the experience. Today was especially disappointing. I asked if my matcha could be made a bit sweeter, and she told me there would be an upcharge something I’ve never been charged for before (receipts included). When I mentioned that money wasn’t an issue, her tone made me so uncomfortable that I didn’t even want her touching my drink. It’s frustrating to have such below par service at what’s supposed to be an upscale establishment. I truly hope management addresses this, because Sadelle’s deserves staff who reflect the quality and experience the restaurant is known for.
My first experience was in person where I had a salmon tower with friends that was amazing. We ordered an extra bagel and cream cheese because the tower is enough for 2 people. The next time, I ordered a salmon tower and extra bagel with cream cheese for delivery and was provided with a premade bagel sandwich and missing cream cheese with the extra bagel. I thought this must have been a mistake as they do have an option to order a premade bagel sandwhich. I just ordered it again for delivery but asked that all the ingredients from a normal tower be put in a box so I could make it myself (just in case). This time I received it all separate as requested, but there was far less food compared to what is given in the restaurant. And again no cream cheese for the extra bagel. I feel taken.
I am so sad to write this review, as I really loved the food but the service here was so bad. We were there for two hours just for breakfast. And then when it came to pay their “3rd party” payment system didn’t work and charged my card $709. When I asked for help the manager came over and basically told me there was nothing he could do, and that I had to call inkind to resolve the issue. Overall I left feeling very unhappy with my experience, which again is so disappointing as the food was good. As of right now, I wouldn’t recommend going.
The hostess was incredibly unhelpful and told us the wait would be 45 minutes, even though the restaurant was half empty on a Thursday at 11:30am. While standing right next to her, I pulled up the OpenTable app, saw plenty of availability, and booked a table on the spot. I even showed her, but she still made us wait for 5 minutes even though our table was already ready. Overall laziest hostess. Afterward, she gave some weird excuse and honestly didn’t seem to be doing her job. Not sure if she was just having a bad day, but she came off as rude and dismissive. Definitely needs some retraining in basic hospitality. The food was average at best. The eggs Benedict were mediocre, and overall, the experience didn’t come close to Sadelle’s in NYC, where both the food and service were far more impressive and accommodating.
