Opinions de Tequila Social Dallas
Fabulous service with Wes. So attentive! We enjoyed a visit involving margaritas on a gorgeous February afternoon. So fun to sit outside and watch all the traffic on the Katy Trail. The margaritas were fabulous. Chips and salsa were tasty. Wes was the best! Had to get a t-shirt to remember our fun outing!
My friends and I had the best time ! There’s a parking garage that you pull into, and once you park, you can walk directly into the restaurant. They will validate parking for free for 3 hours- we got there at 7pm and didn’t leave until 10:30pm so I only had to pay $5 for parking to go over that validation period. But Tequila Social is located right on the Katy Trial and is very similar to Katy Trail iced house, except in my opinion is more responsibly priced. The margs were pretty good and the food was tasty! Overall the vibes are good and we really enjoyed our time !
We stopped at tequila social while on a Katy Trail walk. I was skeptical given the 3.6 star rating, but, let me tell you, this place rocks. The atmosphere, food, and service were all so great. We had Lucy, and she was such a phenomenal waitress with perfect recommendations and consistent, attentive, and friendly service. We had drinks (skinny marg, trail rider loma, and ranch water), chips, and the watermelon salad. Everything exceeded expectations— even the chips and salsa, which were far more flavorful than any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Dallas. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service. We had such a great time — will definitely be back! Wouldn’t change a thing.
When i get the opportunity, I love coming in to Tequila Social, the ranch water is so ☺️ cute. The empanadas are a great presentation and are delicious. There is an outside and inside option. I love coming here. My friend didn’t like it as much, but i did and will continue to come.
we came here for happy hour on a wednesday, sat outside on the patio as it was a beautiful day, and the prices were amazing! our server was kind and attentive. we got our food in a timely manner and it was so good! follow me on IG @savorandslay for more 😋
Perfect Happy Hour Spot! Right on the trail, also easy to drive to, with good parking. HH drinks and food are delicious. Sat at the bar. Service was fantastic. Will be back.
What an excellent dinner & experience! The chips & salsa were uber delicious. The Tajin on the tortillas chips & the perfect amount of cilantro in the salsa were unique and appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed my empanadas and my husband loved his chicken enchiladas. The classic margaritas was one of my favorites thus far in Dallas. Our server was the best!

Great spot on the Katy Trail to grab a bite and a drink. Tacos were great, though the fish tacos were a bit salty. Drinks were great and the outdoors area is very dog friendly, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend checking it out.
Great spot for drinks by the Katy Trail, but expect it to get packed, especially due to the trail traffic. If you’re looking for reserved seating, be prepared for a long wait. However, they do have an open seating section, which is a nice option. The bartenders were attentive and did a great job. Overall, a good place to grab drinks, but timing is key if you want a seat.
The location, atmosphere and service are awesome! My Skinny Margarita was perfect! Ordered the cheese enchiladas. The refried beans had a bit to much lard, the rice was not fluffy and the sauce was so thick and rich as to overwhelm the enchiladas. I will be back because I think they have great potential! Wait staff was very charming!!UPDATE! Went back! Had the Empanadas! They were delicious! Definitely recommend this place…the people are wonderful!!!
Good service, chill vibe, relaxed crowd, but the food was ALMOST there in flavor. Don’t hold back on the seasonings. Coming back for the drinks for sure but food … the flavors need to stop being shy. Also, thank you for always putting out water for people on the trail!!

They have a great happy hour and the atmosphere here is great! I thought the margaritas were great but that the food was just average. We got the carne asada tacos and chicken quesadillas. They were both just average. Overall, I would come back and just get drinks.
First time visiting. Saw Tequila Social on instagram. Great atmosphere. White noise was bustling with the crowd of guests. Caylie C. was our waitress. She was friendly but her skills did not stand out. Not attentive. She would drop items off and rush away before we could thank her, order food, or request things like refills. Food was cold; fries, enchiladas, rice, beans, all cold - Warm at best. The drinks were great.
Amazing patio full of seats, shade, fans, and tvs. The food is alright but the drinks (specifically the margaritas) are very good. Location is a little confusing just because the entrance is through a parking garage, but they have signs that you can follow to the garage. There was no valet when I went (a Saturday night), but since the entrance was in a garage there was plenty of parking that’s free.

The happy hour prices are the only time I’ll eat here. It’s so expensive for super basic tacos and the smallest cup of queso ever We had a great waitress though! The ultimate negative was that we had to pay for parking. I don’t know when this started but there is a ton of parking and so unnecessary to charge. They validate but I still had to pay over $6. I will not be going back! The previous times I went there was no gate to charge. This could be super fun place but the food is miniature and basic and charging for parking is ridiculous. The outside patio was pretty empty.
Queso is a scam. Ong it’s $8 for the smallest and most mid cup of queso I’ve had in my life. Doesn’t even come with some salsa at $8. Tried most of the tacos all were mid at best. Can’t even say there was one that I preferred. My son who usually loves brisket took one bite of his brisket taco and said nope. My wife’s roasted vegetable quesadilla was floppy like it had been made in a microwave. The place was not busy and our server disappeared for fifteen minutes at a time and took about 15 minutes to come by after our food came out to see if everything was ok. This place is kept alive by its location only and I will not be returning despite loving the Katy trail. This place needs to re evaluate their portions, service, and flavors.
We’ve been to Tequila Social many times and used to really enjoy it, but unfortunately, the food has been getting progressively worse with each visit. The fish tacos were overly greasy—there was so much oil pooled in the tray that it made the food feel heavy and inedible. The salad was underwhelming too, especially for the price. It looked more like a half-hearted side dish than a proper entrée, with minimal toppings and not much flavor. The chips seemed stale when they first came out. We assumed it might be due to the humidity, but honestly, that’s not really an excuse—especially when they brought us a fresh batch that was noticeably better. That just confirmed the first batch shouldn’t have been served. The drinks are still solid—strong and well-made—and the atmosphere is fun, but the food just isn’t what it used to be. If you’re in the area and looking for something more consistent, we’d recommend heading over to Katy Trail Ice House instead. It’s nearby, and the food and service there tends to be more reliable

Planned to go on a double date with a bestie and decided on Tequila Social since it was new and everyone wanted to try it out. From the start, the experience wasn’t ideal. 1) Tried calling to see if they took reservations… phone rang for over 4 minutes the 3 times I called — no one ever answered. 2) Phone recording says Happy Hour is from 2pm-7pm. Menu says until 6pm. Ordered drinks at 630pm and definitely was not at HH pricing (I’d suggest to align the menu and phone times to prevent any confusion). 3) There’s not a quick way to run into the restaurant to check to see if tables are available without paying for valet, or walking a block (since phone calls aren’t answered). Front entrance/host stand is a podium in a parking garage. Friends found parking/signage to be not helpful and they ended up parking in the apartment complex’s spaces. 4) Wait time was mentioned to be 30 minutes — I always expect or give +\- 10 minutes on quoted time before a former server bartender. We got buzzed 40 minutes after putting our name in. 5) The bartender we were waited by was fantastic! Can’t remember her name, but she was soooo nice and personable. The drinks were great as well. 6) Finally we were seated, but waited close to 10 minutes before anyone stopped by to greet us or drop off waters. Finally, the host noticed we haven’t been seen by anyone and she grabbed our server (that passed by several times before seeing her other two tables). 7) Once we finally ordered apps and our meal, we had an extra app delivered to the table that we did not order (we gladly tried it and was going to pay for it). Our meals came out wrong 3 different times. The food runners did not know table numbers, or the server mixed up our order with the table next to us. Once receiving food items, one guest at the table questioned the server on the meal delivered and she blatantly looked at it and said it was the correct item ordered. A few minutes later the actual meal was delivered correctly and he mentioned it to the server and she tried to say that it was the same but with and ingredient added to it (that was not on the menu). At this point. Just say you don’t know the menu or acknowledge that you’re wrong when two different items are in front of you and you’re pointing out the different on a menu pulled up on the phone. We finally got our meals delivered correctly, as well as our neighboring table on the third attempt. With all that said, I think a soft opening would have benefited them. If a soft opening was done for friends or family, the workers did not seem to take note of what is actually on the menu or the ingredients, nor did they know table numbers. We tipped 20% for what was a disaster of a meal, will likely just stick to Katy Trail Ice House. It seems the quality of food is similar, but you seem to get more (and a larger selection). I might give TS another try in a few months, but have never had this bad of an experience at a restaurants opening week. It’ll be nice since Katy Trail needs another spot aside from KTIH. Btw, order a frozen mango margarita, but opt for the orange liqueur instead of the norm mango — it’s delicious and strong!!!
The food is probably one of the worst Tex-mex in Dallas. The chips had a really bad flavor, as if they were cooked in old oil. The fries were really soggy and flavorless. I’m sorry to say, but it seems that there is really NO supervision or quality control on the dishes they make. This place really needs to pay attention and learn from hundreds of better options in the Tex-Mex field. Oh, and out of 10 patio heaters the manager was only able to turn on two of them. The place seems to be abandoned.
This spot is definitely not a good backup or alternative to Katy Trail Ice House. We had to flag down a server every time we needed something, and they were seating different groups at the same outdoor tables, making things awkward from the start. The beer was average, the food and service took forever or were forgotten about, and overall, it just wasn’t worth it.
The quality of service at Tequila Social is wildly inconsistent. One day you’re treated first class, the next the host is glaring at you, and sometimes there’s no host at all — so you seat yourself, get asked to move, and then barely get waited on. However, the one thing that is consistent and guaranteed here? The bubble guts. You’ve been warned. Also, being charged for chips and salsa is just outrageous… and yet, I’ll probably still pop in from time to time because you really can’t beat the location on a nice day, and the country music vibe is solid.

If I could give negative stars, I would. It took 25 minutes before anyone came up to our table where we were sat (three servers made eye contact with us, walked past us, and didn’t engage at all). The food was cold and bland. The drinks weren’t good nor strong at all. Won’t be going back and advising others to avoid as well. They’re owned by Harwood Hospitality which makes sense since their other restaurants all have the same problem - Poor service, overpriced basic food, rather off putting drinks, and cheap/fast fashion decor.
