I had the fried pickles (a tiny bit too salty) and nonalcoholic margaritas (really good) the salmon bowl from the brunch menu (so good!). Our server Nae was the highlight. She was so nice and really attentive. She also recommended the salmon bowl so a big thumbs up from me.

It was our first time but Serena made it so pleasurable. Her high energy and bubbly personality was so pleasant to be around. She kept me with a drink and was very attentive. The food was great too and the DJ. Only thing is I wanted to get a lil ratchet 🤣🤣🤣 but I will be back. Also shout out to bartender drinks were great.

We came for happy hour right at 4p and had the crab and spinach dip, steak birria tacos, and 2 DZ chargrilled oysters. Everything Came out piping hot and delicious for the most part. The dish we were were most excited about, and subsequent least favorite was the oysters. They were chargrilled and a bit overcooked/dry. The flavor combo was nice, but we wished they were more moist and the parmesan/breadcrumb topping was crunchy to provide texture to the bite. Thanks Lai for great service, a smiling face, and great menu recommendations. I’d come back when I’m in town.

I visited Local Tap & Table in Dallas, Texas and ordered the seafood omelet. Overall, it was good and flavorful, but I do think it would have been even better with a light dusting of Old Bay seasoning over the top to really bring the seafood flavors together. My only real disappointment was the parking situation valet parking being the only option was frustrating and unexpected. That aside, the food itself was enjoyable, and with a small tweak to the seasoning and more parking flexibility, the experience could be even better.

Aye this place is a vibe. Parking is minimal because of location so be prepared to valet. 15 bucks and then be prepared for food and good vibes. Music and atmosphere was on deck. I’ve been coming to Local Tap for years as a resident of the neighborhood, and while it’s great to have a walkable spot for food and drinks, I’ve always questioned why everything is so pricey for the level of service you receive? The location is excellent and the urban vibe is cool—perfect for weekend or evening dining alone or with friends. The space itself is beautiful: tons of natural light, large windows, a two-tier layout, and it sits right at the bottom of the Katy Trail. Aesthetically, it’s one of the nicer spots in the area. That said, the experience has gone downhill over the past 2–3 years. The food is decent, but wait times can be long. I usually sit at the bar, and unfortunately the bar service has consistently been poor. That alone makes it hard to consider this a go-to spot for a good time. On top of that, their card payment system often isn’t working, which is frustrating, especially given the higher prices. For what you pay, the service just doesn’t match up. Local Tap used to have more professional staff, and it really shows that something has changed. Customer service is everything, and until that improves, it’s hard to say this place is worth the cost—despite how great it looks and where it’s located.

The food was mediocre,I had shrimp and grits it was OK not the best I've had and it's not cooked with cheese, that's a dollar extra for a few shreds. The crawfish bread was OK but didn't have enough crawfish on it. My husband had the catfish and shrimp, the fish was too lemony. The ambiance was OK put the food and prices are not worth it.

The food here is ok, prepared well but not an overall flavor that stands out. The sauce that came with my food was broken and not sure what the flavor was supposed to be. The mimosas were good and strong, I like that multiple flavors are offered. The music here is entirely too loud, I had to yell across the table. Good to know: Gratuity is added, only valet parking is available, and there is a dress code. When we went they had chicken and waffles half off and I saw that they have specials almost daily.

Went here after an early Sunday church service and honestly wasn’t impressed. The forced valet parking felt unnecessary, especially considering the prices on the menu. The service itself was very kind and attentive, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the cost. Everything tasted pretty mid—like something I could’ve made at home. I spent Valentine’s Day at this restaurant, and it was a complete disappointment. I went in expecting a special experience with their Valentine’s Day bundle, but it fell far short of that. Most of my food was inedible, and the dessert included in the bundle wasn’t even available. I left after spending over $100 hungry and frustrated. The fish was mediocre at best, and the rice and beans were unseasoned. When I politely asked for a little sugar to make the rice and beans edible, the restaurant brought me a full container of salt — making it completely inedible. The waitress tried to help, but there was nothing she could do; the kitchen simply couldn’t deliver quality food. What made it worse was the lack of transparency — if certain items weren’t available or if the food quality was poor, I should have been told upfront. This is not a place to go for a date, a special occasion, or any meal where you expect to enjoy your food. My first experience here was extremely disappointing, and I will not be returning. Bottom line: overpriced, poorly executed, and not worth your time or money.

This place has a lot of potential. But our experience was terrible. The food was great, the music was good and the drinks were decent. The place has good vibes and energy. But the service was horrible. We sat at the bar and ordered food and drinks. Somehow, people that sat down after us (and had appetizers just like we did, including a party of seven) were served before us. They ate and left before we even received our entrees. It took over 2 hours to receive our food. When we asked the server about the status of our food, she had a terrible demeanor and simply said sometimes our food takes time. If they can figure out how to serve food and drinks faster, this would be a much better place. But for now, I’m never coming and I wouldn’t rate this any better than a 1 star restaurant.

So let me start by saying I work for a restaurant/ bar environment. So I know how service works and should be. From the moment walking in the door it was very unwelcoming. No welcomes, is this your first time, etc. The music kind of gave a vibe, but between waiting on the table and getting to it, it as definitely dry. Once we sat at the table waters were brought in 3s by hand when treys are available. We had an 11 top. The waitress began to take the orders. Drinks, apps and entrees. Some time goes by and one person at the table received food. 1/11 people. Drinks weren’t even present at this time. The waitress didn’t acknowledge that the appetizers weren’t on the table let alone 1/11 people eating. About 10-15 minutes go by, 2 more entrees come out. As the first person is half way done with their meal. Then appetizers started to come out. 1 by 1. And this is about 10 minutes after the second set of entrees came out. Again the waitress is NOT addressing the order of the meal coming out and NOT acknowledging only 3 people at the table were eating. The drinks finally hit the table after a few apps came out, at that point We went to the bar for shots because our waitress wasn’t attentive enough. Then boom. After everyone is done with their plates that received them the 3/11 and a couple of appetizers the rest of the food came out. Food was MID / Sub par Dj cool, the only reason why the 2 stars for the atmosphere. Will I come back or reccomend. No. I am willing to offer a 2 week training session to help the establishment become what they are capable of being.

We arrived at 2:00 PM and were told the wait would be 30 minutes, but we weren’t seated until 3:30 PM. Our party of 7 was even split into two groups, yet the wait was still excessive. After being seated, we didn’t receive our food until 4:45 PM. The wait was so long that I had to order a small meal through DoorDash because I have a medical condition that requires timely meals. We were in town for a birthday trip, and this was the most disappointing experience of our visit. Our waitress was great, but the overall experience was poorly managed. The salmon was flavorful, however the crab dip and gumbo were lukewarm, which was unacceptable after such a long wait.

This was genuinely one of THE WORST, most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in Dallas. I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller with shrimp. When the plate first came out, there was no shrimp at all. I informed the waitress, and she returned with a new plate but once I started eating, I realized something was very wrong! The kitchen had removed all of the actual oyster meat from the shells and left only cheese/sauce, then placed shrimp on top to compensate (the overly fried piece of meat you see in the video). There were literally no oysters in the oyster dish. You could physically see where they scraped it out before serving. I let that go to avoid being confrontational (even with me feeling taken advantage of as a paying customer) but things got worse when our entrées arrived. My date’s pasta was extremely bland. NO SEASONING, no depth of flavor. Honestly, it tasted like something I literally could make way better at home. My red beans and rice was almost entirely beans, a tiny dab of rice, and only ONE small, thin catfish fillet, despite their online photos clearly advertising two fillets. To top it off, they forgot our Cajun gumbo entirely. When the bill came, it totaled $105, including a 20% automatic gratuity and a 3% service charge, which felt insulting given the quality, missing items, and overall experience. This establishment has seriously fallen off. The owner needs to reconsider the business plan, food quality, kitchen execution, and honesty in marketing, because there’s a reason the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night. I will never return and i do mean NEVER

This business advertise as an up-scale brunch...not at all!!! No coffee, No tea, and my experience was absolutely awful. The catfish was as hard as a brick. Every item in the lamb chop breakfast was DRY and not edible. The drinks were even terrible. I will say that the best item I had was the fried pickles. Before I left I went to the restroom only to see one of 2 sinks out of order and a tray of condiment cups half filled with soap. Such a disappointment!!!
