Yeah, my profile says it… I’m a sucker for Thai food, and Bangkok was where it all started for me. I started eating this cuisine at the original location in Tillman’s Corner somewhere near 30 years ago. A lot of new restaurants have opened over the years, several that I have reviewed, but this is my first love. It’s still just as good today. This Daphne location can sometimes lack in the service area a little bit, but only enough for me to back off one star for it. I love the fried wontons, Tom Ka Soup, Pad Fresh Ginger and plenty of other dishes. Beautiful restaurant inside, great owner, too. I highly recommend Bangkok Thai. Oh, and try the Thai Tea, you won’t regret it!

I checked out the highest-rated Thai restaurant nearby, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious, fresh, and authentic Thai food. It was modified a little bit to make it more acceptable to Americans. The two of them paid a total of $31. It was well worth it, and the service was excellent. Will come back again，I highly recommend their fried spring rolls, they are probably the best in this area. There is also a chef's special dish, which is roast pork with glutinous rice. It is a good choice for those who like to eat rice.I don’t like the taste of hot and sour chicken soup, because it may be made from dry ingredients, so the hot and sour chicken soup that I expect is really different from the fresh Thai style. There is no galangal, no lemongrass, and no lemon leaves. , even the mushrooms are very different, the chili is not Thai small chili, and the sourness of lemon juice is not tasted, it is artificially sweet, but the props are in place.

Started with summer rolls, authentic and fresh with a flavor that pops! Then Tom Ka shrimp soup! It's cold out here so the spice and heat was a welcomed comfort that warmed the bones! Finished with the chefs special pork stick skewers served with sticky rice for that rib sticking satisfaction! Service was efficient and friendly. I'll be back!

I have been here on multiple occasions and the food never disappoints. The atmosphere is quiet and the staff have always been friendly and very accommodating. The Pad Thai is the best I have found thus far and the Pad Crunchy chicken is very flavorful. I also love that you can select your spice level. Will continue to be a repeat customer :)

Came here around 4:30 pm on a Sunday. We’re from California and have had some amazing Thai food in the past. The big seller here is the cost with the portion size you get. Two meals could easily feed four people.

We stopped for dinner one night last week. Overall, we had a nice dinner. Service was great! Young folks kept our glasses full, offered additional wine / beer as they got empty. The food was lovely.. I ordered Curry, and it was a bit soupy.. I'm used to it being a bit thicker. I'll try them again.. maybe it's a southern thing.? We enjoyed our evening, and will definitely be back.

I found this place by accident but, Im so glad that I decided to stop in for a bite. I love Thai food so it was very nice to see dishes here that I havnt seen in many other restaurants of the same cuisine. The waitresses were incredibly welcoming and I immediately felt like I was eating from home. I certainly will be back in the future and recommend this to any fan of SE Asian cuisine.

Awesome pit stop on our road trip, really like the decor and vibe of the spot, plus the soup was huge, and delicious! Spice level was perfect

Was not impressed it just was average for the price. Service was fine. Chicken Padie (sorry for spelling) was in a plate of sauce very different than what I am used to. Just wasn’t great.

We have loved many places in Daphne, Alabama, so this was a surprisingly bad meal. From the waitress/owner being rude to the terrible food I want to warn you away. The food was hot upon arrival but tasteless and as tired looking as the worn furniture and furnishings. The waitress rushed us through our mediocre meal and didn’t even check on us once she unceremoniously plonked our plates down. Overall this was an underwhelming and rather disappointing experience. From the food to the plastic covered chairs and glass table tops with packing tape to cover the chips and cracks. This place is past its prime…tired and worn. Don’t waste your time…go somewhere else. Daphne has plenty of other great restaurants to choose from.

Wow...just wow...not going to lie we got there at 8:00pm and they close at 9:00pm. Towards the end of our service the food was so good that we realized that our drinks were out, so then we ordered a round for 4 and when the drinks arrived they were warm, even though the server said it was straight out of the freezer (Q: Why would you get drinks out of the freezer? A: Because they were hot and you are trying to get them cold fast). We told the server that we would like cold drinks and she said she would bring them. After about 10 min of not receiving our drinks, she came back and told us sorry we are no longer able to serve the drinks because it's about to close. I said but we had already ordered the drinks and you brought it to us warm. (Instead of just telling us, listen guys our drinks are warm and I don't have anymore cold ones.) I said just leave the opened one and take the rest but she took all of them then left without saying anything and it was near closing (we needed something because we ordered Thai hot 5) I went to the back to see if I could find the server to get at least water. As I got to the back I saw the server balling in tears and I asked why are you crying?? She said no reason ill bring you your drinks. I then said its okay we don't want the drinks but why are you crying and then I asked where is your manager/owner (tall Thai guy) she said he left. (She probably got yelled at by the pony tail guy or owner/manager for bring an opened drink back) Long story short i never saw the server again and when we asked the replacement server (tall white guy with pony tail) where is she, is she okay? He had shady answers to our questions. After asking the guy repeatedly he and another guy near the bar started threatening us and said we were racist and called us a lot of slurs and called the cops on us. We waited for the cops and we paid the bill with a credit card and told the officer to give the server a $20 bill because we didn't trust the staff to give it to her from the credit card. We advised the police that something seemed off with the manager/owner and the staff we encountered and to me it seemed like some kind of human trafficking or being held against her will, hopefully I'm wrong, but we never saw the server again. I asked the officer if she was okay and she said she is still crying, I hope they did a wellness check on her. I hope and pray to god that someone looks into this incident and takes it seriously for the young girl's sake. FYI she was a great server.

Bangkok Thai: A Disaster from Start to Finish From the moment I sat down, I knew I had made a mistake. The chairs? Still wrapped in plastic—but not in a “fresh and clean” way. The plastic is shredded and literally rips into your thighs. It’s like an involuntary exfoliation session, but only if you enjoy suffering. The service? Barely existent. And if you need proof of how little they care about ambiance, just check the Lagniappe newspaper at the front—from 2022. Apparently, that’s the last time anyone here bothered to update… well, anything. Now, the food. Oh. My. God. Crunchy Chicken? Completely inedible. And I eat everything. It was drowning in oil, barely had any actual chicken, and the sauce was so painfully sweet it might as well have been dessert. Seaweed Salad? Warm. Yes, warm. And it tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks. Spring Rolls? Thin, flavorless, and sad. Two measly shrimp thrown in as if that would help. Tom Kha Gai Soup? Barely lukewarm when it arrived, plopped in front of me without even a plate underneath. The waitress disappeared, so I had to bring it to her at the checkout stand just to ask for it to be reheated. The broth was decent, but at that point, I was too annoyed to care. Tom Yum Soup with Tofu? The tofu was so dry and tough, it was borderline inedible. I walked in hungry, and I left with nothing but regret. DO NOT waste your time or your money here.

When the front light wasn't on I should have taken that as a clue to not eat here. From the waitress/ owner being rude to the terrible food. To me it seems they lost all track of passion for the business and the food. The shrimp appetizers was old shrimp. The seafood plate I ordered I didn't hardly eat because the frozen seafood was chewy and old tasting. My wife had a rice dish that tasted leftover from last week. The Tai Tea was terrible and the place looks run down. I do not recommend this place. I am sick this morning from it. Avoid it for your own health. The pictures are of what we did not eat and refused a doggy bag. I also was very sick within a few hours as the shrimp must have been bad.
