Excellent Valentine’s Day Dinner - food was delicious - ordered the valentines dinner for 2 which included salad, filet mignon with shrimp and chocolate dessert — the service was great and very nice decor and ambience to the restaurant -1st time dining here and we will return! Highly recommend !
From the patio on a windy day, the building sings like a whale. There are funnels of air that flow through the building that create howling sounds. This is to allow wind to pass through the building instead of blowing it down. Interesting way to preserve the building. Patio is very nice. Good service. Great menu, outstanding food. Prices were reasonable for what it was. Cool architecture, slightly distracting sound, but everything else positive about the place far outweighed the building that kind of sounded like a despondent whale whenever wind went through it. Would recommend! Beautiful view.
While enjoying a few days at the Lodge, we broke up “beach time” with lunch at FoodCraft. We were very comfortable going in with our flip-flops and bathing suits with a T-Shirt and coverup. It was a Sunday and they were serving brunch — I got the “Heat & Sweet” flatbread. It was unique and very tasty. Just the right amount of heat and sweet. My wife got the “Avocado & Toast” and that was really good, too! Our server was very friendly and helpful. Another neat thing was they had a guy playing the sax at one end of the restaurant. That added a really cool vibe. Then we just grabbed our beach bag and walked a few steps out to the sand and waters of the Gulf.
Wish there was more food variety on the breakfast buffet like maybe hollandaise or bernaise sauce on the eggs or omelets, or maybe alternating non-traditional breakfast items. Other than that, food was great quality, the service was fabulous, and a woman working the omelet station is a rock star!! And don't forget the complimentary valet when dining in!
Foodcraft is a beautiful beachside restaurant that feels both fancy and welcoming. The ocean views set the tone for an elevated dining experience, and the food is just as impressive, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It’s the perfect spot for a delicious meal with a stunning coastal atmosphere.
This place has an amazing selection from starters to the dessert!! We had a board meeting retreat here and the staff was fantastic!! They had a great knowledgeable understanding of the menu. They were able to help us decide on the best thing to get for our wide and diverse diets!! Anything with their Goat Cheese is a must!!!
We were very pleased with the food and service! Our waitress Racheal made our last Evening at Gulf Shores extremely wonderful. She had a great knowledge of the menu and gave suggestions which were very accommodating. The food choices were delicious and remarkable. I will be coming back to the Foodcraft next year when I return. We ate outside on the terrace with beautiful beach views! Again thank you Racheal for making our last evening there a evening to remember!
The first thing I did was check the reviews. I saw quite a few people complaining about the price of the buffet. $22 is not that bad. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean this place was. The next thing I noticed was how polite all the employees were. The view of the ocean was amazing and the food was so good. They had everything you could want for a breakfast buffet and it was all fresh and delicious. I will definitely be going back to this place. I recommend it highly, and my reviews are honest. This was the nicest place I have been here and so far the best breakfast I have had here in this area. It was not very expensive, and it was totally worth every single penny. The waitress was doing great, my coffee was never empty. The lady making the omelets did phenomenal. You should definitely check this place out. These two pictures are not staged. This was my first plate of food and the actual view from our table. Valet parking is free if you are eating. That is awesome.
Came here off the beach with two kids and loved it. Similar prices to nearby park restaurant Woodside but here it feels totally worth it. Great service (Michaela was awesome), yummy food, and a clean beach aesthetic. We came right before 11 when they switched over to the lunch menu, so I attached the breakfast menu. I'd recommend the place.
Delicious. Excellent customer service. The chef was very willing to accommodate our family and our allergies. He made a custom batter to fry my mom's fish in because of he pepper allergy, and he took good care of us. It was so good, my dad, who doesn't have the allergy, wanted the same thing. Everything was cooked perfectly. The bread pudding was also delicious.
During our stay at the Gulf State Lodge I ate at both Perch and Foodcraft. While both restaurants were wonderful, I have to say that overall I liked the food and atmosphere of Foodcraft better - but both were excellent. I strongly recommend the stuffed mushroom and orange creme brulee!
Very beautiful place with the view of the beach. We had brunch the menu is limited so if your like me and don't mind spur of the moment places this is a nice place. If your more specific and picky call ahead and ask for their menu options. I am putting picture of what they had now when we went there. Tonya seated us and Daleney served us they were both very sweet.
Enjoyed the Thursday pasta buffet (only in winter months) Reasonably priced. Fresh salad, loads of veggies and meats to add to your pasta of choice. There was minestrone soup, bread sticks and desserts. Key lime tartlet was a little sweet, I prefer a bit more lime zing. We left stuffed! Will need to put in extra walking miles on the beach to wear it off! Drinks are more expensive than other beach front establishments.
Great place with great food! One of the best steaks I have had in Gulf Shores! Hope took care of us, she was incredible! Everything from the bacon wrapped shrimp poppers to the steak with broccolini was superb. We really enjoyed the snapper as well. The views of the beach from our table were blissful. Sand, sea oats and waves!! Definitely going back!
Ate at Foodcraft for New Years Eve. This was our first time dining. Atmosphere was gorgeous and welcoming. Service was great. My husband and I both got the NY Strip Steak and it was cooked well and delicious. I also got the Oyster Chowder which was very good. We brought our 3 children with us and they had a nice choice of items on the kids menu as well. Overall would highly recommend for a nice meal!
Absolutely was surprised at the level of service, the food quality and the atmosphere. The half dozen oysters were fresh, well dressed and very good. Strawberry salad was very good with spinach and fresh cheese, and the stuffed jalapeños with shrimp are well worth a second or third order of them. Great job to management and employees for the level of service, friendliness and quality you have created. And have the strawberry shortcake while you're here!!
Don't sleep on Foodcraft. After a long day, this was an excellent dinner choice and so convenient. I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted and our server mentioned the crab cakes. They are the best I've ever had! They're perfect with the fried green tomatoes. My husband enjoyed his mahi - it had great flavor. The 10 year old tried the chicken tenders and liked the flavor especially with his strawberry mocktail. The atmosphere is great (indoor or outdoor). Beach views are spectacular. Service was excellent.
Finally had a chance to eat from this restaurant after so many visits to the Lodge. We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast which had a lot of menu items from this place - delicious but not worth the room service up charge but that’s the Lodge’s problem. We decided to have lunch the day before we left at the restaurant and it was great. Great environment, quiet and nice view of the water. A bit in the pricier side if you’re a more than 2. It’s more like $50ish per person. For lunch we ordered some apps, one of which were the fish bites and they were delicious, watermelon caprese salad and some shrimp/asparagus dish that my fiancé enjoyed.
Beautiful! We wanted to try something new and Foodcraft came up ... and we are glad it did. The atmosphere was simple but elegant and the view was stunning from the inside or the outside. The food was great: fish and chips light and crunchy, tri-tip steak was perfectly cooked with a mildly spicey chimichurri. Jeff was our waiter and he was very good at his job whether serving just the 2 or the large party in the private room. Cudos to the State for creating such a wonderful restaurant attached to the State Park's Lodge. Dinner for 2 with bread, fried Goat Cheese (get it, yummy!), and two dinners w/o alcohol + tip $92.
Love this place!!! 😀 Can't say enough that we're glad we picked it. We were going to Perch. The staff here was super nice, good was fingerlicking, nice ambience, clean restrooms. It was our 4 year anniversary. We had just left the beach. The waitress was nice enough to take our pictures on the deck and at the table. Wish we could come back soon, but we work too much and live too far. I recommend 100%!
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our server, beth, was excellent. The food was delicious. The only reason I did not rate them a five on the food was portion size. The quality was there, but the salad was small. I also tasted The HoneyBaked chicken and the shrimp and grits, both of which were delicious. I can't wait to go back. And I almost forgot to mention the view! The restaurant overlooks The beautiful Gulf. Once the Sun dipped low, we ventured up to the Perch and enjoyed the views from outside. Definitely worth the trip.
Exceptional Service, Incredible Food & Vibes! We’ve lived in Gulf Shores for the past five years, and Jeff at Food Craft is without a doubt the best server we’ve had in all that time. He was so friendly, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable—he truly made the night special. Will also came out to check on us and was just as kind and informative. You can tell they both take pride in what they do. We ordered the ribeye steak and the red snapper—both were absolutely amazing. The ribeye was easily the best steak I’ve had in years. We also tried the jalapeño margarita, and it was the perfect spicy twist—so good! We were so impressed that we’re already planning to come back tomorrow night with our daughter and a friend. Food Craft just earned some loyal regulars. Thank you, Jeff and Will, for such a memorable evening!
Excellent food and cocktails! We started with some gumbo and a strawberry salad which we like very much. I had the rib eye which was cooked to perfection. My wife had fish and chips and she loved it. It’s made with grouper which she had never had before. Very mild and delicious. The cocktails were very good, we had the Sailors Delight and a raspberry lemonade which was faintly tart but very good. For dessert we had bread pudding g and fried banana split. Everything was top notch!! Highly recommended
All morning on the beach, but it's time for lunch. We've decided to just stick around here and try another one of the on-site restaurants at The Lodge at Gulf State Park. Foodcraft at Gulf State Park Everything was perfect. The crab cakes had no filler, but the fried green tomato gave it a perfect crunch. The dressed Heirloom tomatoes gave it a perfect pop of acidity. I hesitated to order the snapper reuben. Snapper is my favorite fish and reuben is the best sandwich, but together? I was skeptical. I was wrong. It was perfect. Crispy, fresh, interesting. The dill havarti cheese? Loved it. GULF CRAB CAKE Seared Crab Cakes, Fried Green Tomato, Heirloom Tomato Salad, Ancho Chile Aioli GULF SNAPPER REUBEN Seared Gulf Snapper, Steamed Sauerkraut, Dill Havarti Cheese, 1000 Island Dressing, Marbled Rye Bread with Side House Salad
Excellent experience indoors for lunch. I opted for their lunch special: Fried green tomato BLT with tomato bisque. I was not disappointed. The oyster Poor-boy was even better with a little side remoulade (thank you server Sam for your recommendation). Had to have their lemon blueberry bread pudding to top it all off-it was a tasty treat!
A beautiful dining experience on the beach in Gulf Shores, AL!🦪🍤 Foodcraft offers a delicious variety of eats with views to go with it! Atmosphere: The building is located right next to the beach and offers a clear view to the ocean with its beautiful glass walls. The interior has a modern-coastal look, and the exterior has a deck with seating outlooking the water. They even had live jazz music playing when we visited! Service: Our waitress, Maria, was so kind and made sure that everyone’s orders were correct for our group of 8! The food didn’t take long to prepare either which was a plus! Menu items: I got to try their brunch menu! For appetizers, I had half a dozen oysters and got their Eggs Benedict with crab cakes and a side of breakfast potatoes for my entree! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portion sizes were perfect—not too much and not too little! Aside from the delicious food and beautiful views, their food presentation is excellent! I’d definitely want to come back to try more of their menu items!🧾
The avocado toast with perfectly poached eggs was absolute perfection—creamy, fresh, and full of flavor. The crisp radish and juicy tomato salad on the side added the ideal balance of texture and brightness to the plate. The cappuccino was just as perfect—smooth, rich, and the ideal complement to the meal. To top it off, enjoying this breakfast while taking in the breathtaking view of the Gulf made the experience unforgettable. A true gem for both the palate and the soul!
We were pleasantly surprised with this seaside gem! The restaurant looks brand new and it's really cute inside. The menu is very imaginative with some really unique dishes. Everything we got was really delicious with tons of creativity and flavor. Hands down the best restaurant we ate at in the Gulf Shores. It's the perfect place for a romantic date, family dinner, or large party complete with private room!
Dinner by the ocean with the sounds of the waves and the band playing on the pier. What a perfect setting for a delicious dinner. We started with half a dozen oysters and some Crispy Gulf Fish Bites. The fish bites were amazing! Crispy on the outside and flakey white fish on the inside. Moved to the Crispy Skinned Snapper and Crab Cakes with Fried Green Tomatos. The tortellini with the Snapper was a nice compliment and the fried green tomatoes were sweet. And finished with the Key Lime pie 🥧 and the Peach 🍑 Crisp.
The Blackened Shrimp with Parmesan risotto and asparagus was amazing. I asked for light on the blackening seasoning and it was really good. The key lime pie for dessert was awesome too. We sat outside and it was nighttime but there was a light on the table and the breeze was nice. I enjoyed the food and ambiance. .
We chose this establishment for our lunch, and it was an exceptional experience. Our selections included a hamburger, a crab cake, and a chicken pesto sandwich, all of which were incredibly delicious. As it was my son's birthday, the staff kindly provided a complimentary dessert. Notably, my daughter, who often leaves food on her plate, completely finished her meal on this occasion. We are certainly looking forward to our next visit.
We had such a great experience here! Everything we ordered was incredible, starting with the Roasted Crab & Tomato Soup (a must-try!), the Blackened Gulf Shrimp, and the Fish and Chips. The spicy margs were spot on and of course we had to finish with dessert, which did not disappoint. We sat outside on the patio and loved the atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, making the whole evening even better. Highly recommend!
Excellent casual dining at gulf state park lodge- indoor and outdoor seating with view of gulf, and fishing pier. Sunsets are a bonus. We did cocktails and apps at 430 p seated immediately. Excellent service and ambiance. Food was upscale- seafood au gratin , romaine wedge and shrimp soup all great. No happy hour deals but reasonable prices for beer wine and cocktails. I think they do an awesome breakfast as well nice padded comfortable seating !
We chose to eat here last minute and so glad we did!! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was perfect. Clean, comfortable seating and of course beautiful views of the beach and ocean. My mother in law said it was the top 5 best steak she’s ever had. Definitely worth a trip back!!
Fine dining does not get better than this. I had their fish and chips and my wife got the Ribeye. AMAZING. I couldn’t have cooked a better steak myself. Great portions and the atmosphere was great. Both inside and outside seating options have an ocean view. We stayed at the Hilton Lodge for a week so we definitely walked over for dinner more than once! 10/10 recommend.
The food was so good! We ate there while on our honeymoon, and we highly recommend people going there. The only critique was that the mashed potatoes were substantially over seasoned. Otherwise, everything was amazing. The server was even nice enough to give us a free dessert because we were on our honeymoon.
Went between breakfast and lunch got my toddler pancakes and the rest of the family lunch. food was very good and there server was very nice been to 4 hotels this side of the beach try all there food this was the best one so far.
This place was great. The menu incorporates local flavors with chef-driven quality and variations on classic brunch dishes. The cocktails and bloody Mary bar were all well executed. They had a saxophonist playing during brunch which was a nice touch, but I'm not sure if that was only because of Father's Day. The drinks and menu were far superior to most of the local shacks if you're looking for a change of pace.
This inviting atmosphere is located in The Lodge at Gulf State Park, and I need to start by saying the hostess was so friendly and displayed exceptional service. We went for lunch and got seated immediately. The food and drinks were delicious and the menu had a good variety! I had the pecan crusted Mahi that was seasoned to perfection and we also enjoyed the seafood flatbread to start! It was made with fresh seafood which you could taste! Can’t wait to return; I would love to try the dinner options! But seriously, come see this wonderful crew for lunch or dinner and you will not be disappointed!
My family came out for lunch. We had reservations for 6 of us. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere was bright and gave us a coastal vibe. We can't say enough how much we appreciated the entire experience. Every staff member went above and beyond to deliver excellent service.
We made reservations here for my in-laws 50th anniversary! The communication was great. We were given their private room which was amazing with the kids & just being able to feel like we could laugh & cut up & not bother anyone. Our server Scott was amazing! He was attentive, fun, so kind & respectful. He also made it just a sweet & special time for my in-laws anniversary.
This might be the most under rated gem of all! We are very fond of fine dining with great views and this was incredible. Our food was the best we have had between Zeke’s, Cobalt, and Louisiana Lagniappe. We both had the Mahi but I had mine blackened instead of pecan encrusted. We ate every single bite of our food. So fresh and perfectly prepared! The view on the deck is unbelievable.
We came here for dinner for our tenth wedding anniversary. The views are great! The food, the service, the atmosphere -- all of these were wonderful. And as a bonus, they gave us a free off-menu dessert! It was definitely worth the stop and I highly recommend a visit for any special occasion.
Great place to eat near the water. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Menu selections are plentiful. Friendly and attentive staff. The best part? Tonya the hostess. She made the visit! Tucker says hello!
My husband, 91yo Mom & I went for brunch on Sunday. We arrived at little earlier than our reservation but they still sat us right away. When we met our server, Olena, we knew we were in for a great time! She was fun, funny & kind. The service she provided was beyond excellent! The view is amazing, the decor is clean & well taken care of. There was a guy playing music softly so we could all hear ourselves talking. All in all it was a perfect brunch! Oh! And the food was fabulous too. Huge portions, freshly prepared!
After a bad lunch experience at a different location, we were looking for a better meal and we found it!! I ordered the Fish and Chips, and oh my was it good. The portions of fish were huge and cooked very well. I don’t order fish much, but hey, right by the ocean, so I had too and I’m glad that I did. My wife ordered the Pecan Crusted Tilapia, her meal was also amazing. Took some Key Lime Pie to go and we left very happy with our experience.
Spent a week at the Lodge and dine at Woodcraft three times. Enjoyed dinner first evening. Had outside table on a good night to dine outside. Got fresh fish of the day of Snapper which was perfect. Also got oysters which were good also. Two days enjoyed breakfast. The first morning got it to go because enjoying sitting on the porch and wanted to eat breakfast there. The second day I dine inside. Both days got the avocado toast. This was so good with the eggs and the light salad. Service each visit was excellent. The morning hostess very engaging the same with the wait staff. Pricing is what to expect when staying at a place like the Lodge. Those who stated too high with the internet easy to review pricing and menu.
Went for Valentine's Day and the food and service were good! Got the Valentine's day fixed menu with the scallops (good but could have been warmer and more seasoning), ribeye (was good and came with Mac and cheese and asparagus), and chocolate covered mousse in a heart shape (that was really good).
Went with a group of lovely woman on vacation, had a great time chatting while the food and drinks were being prepared. The person that “took our reservation” over the phone never actually put us down for a reservation (for a party of 19) but they were able to accomodate us as there weren’t many people in the restaurant. There seemed to only be one bartender and the service (time it took for drinks and food to come out) was very slow. Our server was great and very personable. I think her name was Jamie-Lynn, she was so sweet! The front desk staff could use some manners but the overall experience made up for that.
Food and atmosphere would be 5 stars. Manager caused it to be only 4 stars. The waiter forgot to put in the food, which happens, and apologized profusely, but even though the manager walked by the table about 100 times and brought us the food never once acknowledged it. We over heard the waiter tell him what happened yet nothing. That's his job.
Tried to find how to get in the restaurant several times. Found it today. Not easy access unless you are staying at the hotel. Menu is expensive and mostly chef type creations. Food was good (avocado toast and eggs Benedict). We will likely come back to try a drink and appetizer as the views are stunning 🙂.
I had the avocado toast with poached egg. It was very tasty and satisfied my taste buds. My husband had crabcake Benedict and it was also tasty. The service was phenomenal. Our waitress at 7am greeted us with a smile and served us very well. I'm not sure her name but she was tall, slender, and black headed with a ponytail. However, the hostess acted like we was an inconvience for being there at 7:02 a.m so I am unsure of what we done wrong. Food and waitress was overall great. Especially sitting near the ocean.
The atmosphere is great, server was excellent, but overall still a 4 star. Menu is a bit overpriced, plan on 50 a person, portions were a little small, and appetizers are for one. Had the grouper, it was well prepared but had the same elsewhere at a cheaper price. I would say overall, great atmosphere at a not so great value.
Ate at this restaurant 3 times - twice for breakfast and once for dinner. =BREAKFAST= [[Omelet Croissant Sandwich]] The croissant didn’t taste fresh, kinda feels reheated. Was expecting it to be buttery and ‘crispy’. • [[Sticky Cakes]] Like an upgrade of McDonald’s pancakes. Decent, but nothing amazing. • [[Forest Mushroom Omelete]] Average • [[Eggs Benedict with Crab Cakes and Muffin Sides]] 👍🏻 This was a game changer. We really enjoyed this a lot! Highly recommend ordering it. =DINNER= [[Half a dozen raw oysters]] 👍🏻 Very fresh! Also, the pairing with the horseradish and hot sauce elevates it even more for me. However it was too sandy… • [[Crispy Skin Snapper]] 👍🏻 Would recommend ordering this as well! Really liked this dish. • [[Tri Tip Steak]] Medium-rare texture was okay, but we had to spam salt to season it. It was super bland like I was biting the cow directly. • [[Triple chocolate fudge brownie sunday]] Hell-no… The brownies were so little, and it was 90% whipped cream and 10% ice cream. For $8, it’s not worth your money. If you want ice cream, head over to Dragonfly.
Honestly I went here for the bloody Mary bar. That was overflowing with options to put in your drink. But, if I've got to be honest, I was underwhelmed by the food. It was exceptionally average for the price. My steak was chewy, but it was flank steak. The deviled eggs were OK but nothing to write home about. If you want a better meal wait until dinner and go upstairs to the perch restaurant for a much better experience. If you want breakfast I would definitely go elsewhere next time.
The view and aesthetic value of this restaurant was off the charts! It's a very relaxing interior. The "That's the Bloody Point" Bloody Mary was my favorite drink of the trip! Great Pick-me-up. The food was okay, it didn't seem to match the superior ambiance of the place. The staff seemed to need a little more menu training, although everyone was very nice. The wedge salad could have been better, it was a small portion and wasn't the usual cut of wedge. The shrimp and grits were good, but I had to peel my own shrimp. The steaks were very tasty. Overall I'd give this place another shot.
We had heard rave reviews about the avocado & toast only to be surprisingly disappointed because it wasn’t fresh smashed avocado. It was very obvious to be pre-packaged “guac” as it had onions in it as well and the all-too-distinctive taste of tangy odd tasting packaged guac does. This would have been phenomenal if it were freshly mashed! Any foodie would be able to immediately distinguish the taste.
We had an OK meal here while staying at the hotel. The oysters Rockefeller were GREAT, would definitely order those again. The crab fritters were good but the sauce they come on top of is so unbelievably salty it basically ruins them. We split the scallops as our entree. It didn’t come out split which is fine, but they also didn’t bring us an extra plate? Usually wouldn’t be an issue but our waiter was pretty inattentive and unfriendly so we had to wait and flag someone else down for it. The scallops came with couscous, artichoke purée and tomatoes—it was quite good!
Literally just leaving and the waitress that we have tonight just does not have it together! I know we all have those days but she messed up my son’s beer order and then he ordered a margarita and she gave him the wrong one! And the food man seriously the menu needs to be updated! I got a wedge salad only because there was nothing else on the menu that I would eat and it came out like just the big head of lettuce plus some shrimp I got 3. Shrimp for 9 bucks! Cmon that ain’t a way to bring a customer back everyone else at the table liked their food, the best part of the meal was the bread service it needs to be unlimited so someone like me that can’t find something on your lame menu can at least let the rest of the party enjoy their meal and come down on your prices for the amount of food you serve because the portions are not worth it, your breakfast is a COMPLETE DIFFERENT STORY! IT IS AWESOME!!
Had the Christmas Buffet today. The food was good but it was barely warm. We waited a couple minutes for our waiter to come to ask if we wanted something to drink, he never showed up so went and got our food, still no sign of waiter. My husband got a hold of a girl with water and told her, she said she would get our waiter. He, Jeff, finally showed up and made the excuse he hadn't noticed us. He talked to the people at the next table over and couldn't help but see us. Not really the kind of service you expect. I do appreciate people working on Christmas Day but I still expect good service and more than luke warm food.
Limited menu options that basically consist of choosing between lesser of evils. Disappointing crab appetizer and sub par scallops, residual freezer burned undertones with poorly matched barely edible sauces (plate glaze for the scallops resembled and tasted like jarred pea baby food). A dignified ending arrived in the form of above average desserts, the key lime pie and cheesecake are both noteworthy. The ambiance wanted to be casual upscale, but the lackluster overly stressed wait staff created a dine in fast food chain restaurant vibe. The exception being a younger gentleman who I assumed to be the on-floor manager, he seemed very sincere in his efforts, and the hostess was welcoming and attentive to all of the guests.
Welcoming aesthetics but a terrible breakfast experience. Our wait time was minimal for seating and the waitress was very attentive. I received a food and beverage credit as a diamond member and could not imagine paying out of pocket for what was served. The ( three egg) omelets we ordered were actually "powdered/liquid" eggs.I asked the waitress if shell eggs were available which she replied no.I've NEVER experienced a hilton property serve liquid eggs for a "made to order" breakfast. In addition, the omelet had a wet/rubbery texture which made it inedible. The cocktail I ordered was supposed to include fresh berries, prosecco, limoncello and lemon zest.I returned the drink due to half of the ingredients being missing .The same drink was then returned with just chopped strawberries added and lacking any distinction of lemon, strictly prosecco. The potatoes were warm at best and slightly overcooked as well.We basically left our entire meal and cocktail untouched aside from my niece's fruit bowl and my potatoes. The meal was roughly $65 after tipping.Again, the price was not the issue but the quality was extremely subpar.
I dined here with a large group of 16 family members. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. I started with the seafood flatbread appetizer (approximately $14), which was decent in flavor but arrived lukewarm. For my entrée, I ordered the strip steak with fries, priced at $28. The steak lacked seasoning and was overcooked, which significantly impacted the overall dish. Service was average; however, our server appeared disengaged and somewhat inattentive throughout the evening. While the setting was adequate for a large group, the food quality and service fell short. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.
I don’t leave reviews but this was a horrible experience. Don’t make the mistake of doing the breakfast buffet. It’s highly unorganized and I watched a worker squish a fly in the bowl of cheese and then pick it out and throw it in the trash and left the rest of the cheese sitting there..so disgusting. Waffle maker is a disaster. Service & food was pretty much the same.
Considering I had a father that would cook strip steaks until they resembled withered jerky, I’m unpleasantly surprised to report that this was honestly the worst steak I’ve had in quite some time. $28 steak and fries and I will say, the fries were delicious but the steak was a completely unseasoned, dry, flavorless chunk of cow. My daughter ordered the same and didn’t bother to eat more than 3 pieces of it. My husband said his crab cakes were “okay”. Suffice to say in a town like this, you can absolutely spend $170 on a better meal anywhere else.
Generally - I love this restaurant. The breakfast is amazing. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is lovely. However, we just finished having dinner and did not actually get helped by a waiter AT ALL. It was a build your own pasta bar. And we were never helped by a waiter. We went to the bar to get our own water. We just went ahead to get our own pasta. We saw many many waiters. But no one greeted us, cleared our table, nothing. No menu was provided. We had to ask the host for our own bill. Which is such a shame, as we are on an anniversary trip. The lack of awareness and attention to the guests is not acceptable.
