5 Stars! If you love great mexican food, (fast & well-priced) friendly service, and the best tequila selection EVER (truly incredible for any tequila aficionados, and great for happy hour, plus they make a mean margarita). There are lots of TVs to watch the game so it's fun for everyone. Best hidden gem!! I discovered it about a year ago and wish I had sooner. Amazing food, well-priced, and fantastic service (shout out to Jeremiah who was so sweet today and really went above and beyond - appreciate you! :)

My favorite place!!! Amazing burritos with margaritas — what could be better? 🌯🍹 The place is always very clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Our bartender Joe was phenomenal — he made the best lemon drop martini I’ve ever had. We actually discovered this spot by accident about a year ago when it was open late on a Saturday night, and we’ve been coming back ever since. Consistently great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend!

Great experience overall. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, but what really stood out was the customer service. Jeremiah at the front of house was awesome—super welcoming, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of from the moment we walked in. Fish tacos are best . I love fish tacos and this is my go to . Not only for the affordable price but they are scrumptious! I also eat the veggie quesadilla and their bean and cheese burriots... I have not been satisfied with.other items on the menu but really all I need are those fish tacos The salsa bar is really good too! The red sauce is addicting and spicy! Great flavor for all their salsa- green is mild btw The got carrots are really good too!

Hadn’t been here since it was the make-your-own pizza place — I can’t believe they’ve been here for 8 years now! We sat at the (small) bar and totally lucked out with Joe as our bartender. He was awesome — super attentive, checked in on us (and everyone) often, and provided fast service. You can tell he really cares about the patrons. He also makes great drinks. The Paloma is one of his specialties, and I also tried the Siesta from their feature menu of the month (Jan 2026), which was really good. I was a little hesitant to try the Paloma because some places make it too tart, but his was very well balanced. Same with the Siesta — I thought it might be lime-forward and tart, but it was surprisingly smooth and balanced. They have a full bar, so if you’re not into beer, there are plenty of other options. They also have an outdoor patio area, which is great for families or kids’ sports teams after a game. Good Mexican food without restaurant-level prices. I’d say it’s like an upscale taco shop, but better. The staff is really nice and friendly, and there are lots of regulars. They also have TVs in the bar area and show UFC fights, so check their website for details. It does get really busy, which is great for the business, but they have a good system to move people along. You order at the front, and if the bar area isn’t too busy, they’ll call you over and assist with your order. They currently have happy hour every day from 2pm–7pm and again from 11pm–12am for late-night happy hour. Great place to go!

Good vibe, good food, friendly staff. Joe, at the bar, took care of us with mimosas while we waited for our take out order. Joe, is super friendly, excellent eye contact, and came over to wipe our table down and brought our drinks to us. SWEET!

I grew up in San Diego, went to college in the Bay Area, and live in Los Angeles currently so feel that I really know good Mexican food and can honestly say this is some seriously delicious Mexican. I grew up in the area so I’ve been coming to this shopping center for decades, and I’ve seen all the different restaurants in this location and would say this is probably my favorite of the bunch so far. Inside is really large, they have a full bar, a full salsa bar, and a ton of seating options. You place your order at the counter and they either bring it to you or you can choose to go. Service was very fast and friendly, and my favorite part was how delicious it was. The salsa itself was also very good, I still think Roberto‘s has the best salsa in town, but El Pueblo has better burritos. I was actually impressed with how good the food was. This morning we stopped in for fish tacos and breakfast burritos and thought they were fantastic. The fish taco is a little bit smaller than you usually get here in town but had great flavor and the breakfast burritos both the chorizo and the bacon were delicious. The tortilla was also very fresh and I already want to come back soon to try a Cali or a Carne Asada burrito. I would highly recommend to anyone and will be back many times in the future.

Best place in Del Mar/Solana Beach for Mexican food. Big menu, great food and great service. Open every night until midnight including full bar. Julio did a great job ensuring my order was right and I had all the right salsas to go with it.

The ambiance of this Del Mar El Pueblo location is perfect ! I drive by 2 other closer el Pueblo locations to spend my time at this particular one! Tho it doesn’t look big from the outside once you step inside you’ll be please with the feeling of cozy atmosphere. Plenty of tables inside as well as their outdoor seating- the bar is perfect in the middle but their attentiveness & fast service make it great ! The staff is extremely busy but greet you with a smile they are friendly as well as efficient over the phone !

He was attentive without being overbearing, fast without making us feel rushed, and genuinely friendly the entire time. Even with the chaos of a busy shift, he made sure our drinks stayed full, our food came out hot, and every detail of our meal was perfect. Joe’s professionalism and warm energy truly elevated our experience. El Pueblo is lucky to have him—we’ll definitely be back!

The wife was looking for some chilliques. So we gave El Pueblo a try. What a great little place. Joe the bartender/server was awesome. Perfect margarita, I know 9:30, but it is Saturday and I am on a long weekend. Highly recommend you go. FYI I had the fajitas.

El Pueblo Del Mar is great!! My husband said it was the best California burrito he’s had yet. The nachos left something to be desired and the carne asada fries were tasty but kinda cold. The bathroom was clean and staff were super friendly!! Would go again, but order something besides nachos.

Their $1.30 fish tacos are not only a great deal but so tasty! Was my fav of the 3 flavours I got and the least expensive by far. The outside is deceiving but as soon as you walk in you enter an inviting taqueria. The service was good and they have a large patio out back. The absolute winner for me though is I have a corn allergy and they have flour tortilla options for everything! Tysm El Pueblo!

Was busy when arrived..Note: this is not a sit down restaurant! The restaurant does have seating, but you order at a counter, then sit down. Food was average mexican, which is fine. We ordered margaritas, 2 regular (good), and a strawberry margarita. The strawberry was terrible, water downed, forgettable. The food arrived (they deliver to the table) on pottery type plates...WITH PLASTIC FORKS, no knives!!! Ever try to eat enchiladas with plastic forks and no knives? How about a burrito? We got salsa from a central salsa stand, nothing to identify which was which (hot vs mild). In short, locals seem to like it, I didn't...am still seeking a good mexican place near Solana Beach.
