Really really enjoyed. Went with large group and service was great. Did the prefix option and everything tasted delicious. Enjoyed various dips and meats. All food was soo great and delicious. Strongly recommend for north food, service, and atmosphere
Amar Mediterranean Restaurant – Delray Beach is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — every dish feels made with care. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. One of the best Mediterranean spots in Delray!
Great Lebanese served well. Try the Branzino, a must try. Even if you don’t like fish, eat it anyway trust me! Atmosphere is nice acoustics are a bit loud. Not the place for a large party on the weekend if you wanna hear what the other end of the table to say.
My husband and I had a fantastic meal tonight at Amar’s in Delray Beach. The entire experience from start to finish was delicious and very well executed. Our server, Christelle was awesome and was very attentive to our needs. The food was delicious and perfectly timed. The atmosphere is cool and trendy yet cozy and inviting! A MUST when visiting Delray Beach! We will be back!
Man oh man did I ever hit JACKPOT finding this place. This is Mediterranean done right. From the atmosphere, interior/exit or design, to the menu. Chefs kiss to the owner, he must’ve been on some sort of substance when he came up with all this because this is absolutely nuts. Hands down the best pita and humus in Delray. It’s not even close.
We came to Amara’s back when it was in the old location and it was very good then. But how. It’s leveled up. The food is fantastic. Even the cocktails are very good. Service was fast and friendly. We opted for the pre fix menu and it was such a good deal. Ideal for sharing apps and trying lots of different food items. Make sure to make a reservation. Will for sure come back again.
This was our first time at Amar and so happy we discovered her. It’s located in the busy and bustling part of Delray Beach but a parking lot is right next door to it with both free and $10 valet spots. Upon walking in , my jaw dropped at how exquisite the decor was. There is a bar in the front with seating and both indoor and outdoor patio seating with lovely pillows and fans and natural fence surrounding and blocking the outside street. We sat outside because we knew it would be quieter as the place filled up. We came in to start during happy hour - drinks and various dishes were discounted. Marlin was our waiter- extremely friendly and happy personality. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and was thoroughly on top of everything We started with drinks and gratis hot pita and ordered LABNEH- Strained yogurt, za'atar, tomato, mint, olive oil. GF VG. That was awesome! Afterwards we shared their signature dish AMAR MIXED GRILL 89 Chicken, kafta, wagyu steak, lamb chops, sumac onion, charred tomato, lebanese rice. What a beautiful presentation it was. Also very juicy and tender. If you got another appetizer, it would have been enough for 3 people. We didn’t want to leave because it was so relaxing. We then had decaf cappuccino and their baklava It was the perfect dessert. On Friday and Saturday evenings starting at 7:30 PM they have a belly dancer, which I am sure is very entertaining. This was a great evening and very memorable. We will definitely return in the future. Also, the reason we found Amar was because they recently became part of the inKind application. This is a free app which allows you to save 20% on every meal and it doesn’t cost you a penny to belong. In today’s market with Restaurants competing, this is a great way to be introduced to wonderful restaurants That you might not have discovered prior.
We had the most wonderful evening tonight! From the ambience and decor to the music and the service and then greatest of all, the food! This place is truly a 10/10! Gabriella was the sweetest, kindest, and most helpful server who accommodated us perfectly especially with all of my brother’s food allergies. We ordered the lamb chops and the wagyu steak skewers which were phenomenal with the most delicious sauces. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a genuinely delicious and high quality meal with a beautiful atmosphere. Thank you again Gabriella!
Omg! The Ave in Delray needed Amar!! Finally, something different aside from Mexican and Italian! The lamb chops are to die for. the rice is amazing, pitta fluffy and light and made in house. The lamb and beef kebabs were divine. Everything was amazing and don’t forget to top it off with baklava, which they also make in house. I love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food and Delray really needed!
A wonderful date night for the hubby and I! We loved the service provided by our waitress Crystal who was attentive and knowledgeable about my allergies and very pleasant! The food was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The baba ghanouj and chicken tawouk were my favorite! The red wine from Lebanon can’t be missed! Try Amar in Delray, we’re Lebanese, we know ;)
We had a wonderful meal at Amar—what a gem in Delray! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. Our server, Marlon, was fantastic—so friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. He made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of. We started with the hummus and Brussels sprouts, both of which were outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The fattoush salad was bright and refreshing, and the chicken skewers were tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything was spot on. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommend!
Food was very tasty and flavorful! The waitress was friendly and prompt! And the restaurant was decorated very nicely! They have a very good happy hour, lots to choose from! And there was an oriental dancer as a show during dinner! I love this new location! So much better than the old one was too small! Will go again!
Best Lebanese restaurant in South Florida! The server is as amazing! The manager super nice and welcome, and the food the BEST! 5 starts, we will get back many times. Their Mezzes are a must, no way to go wrong!
Our favorite spot before they expanded, but now we can enjoy the atmosphere and food, the new spot is beautiful and the food is exceptional as always. Everything on this menu is delicious. Connor was our waiter and he is amazing as well!
Lovely restaurant with delicious food and friendly service. Christelle was very sweet and had great recommendations. Golden garbanzo drink and branzino were amazing!
Love the place. Great crowd and food was delicious. We had the spicy hummus to start and we shared a mixed platter that was on point. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. And don't let me get started with the staff, the waiter was prompt and always attentive. Now the host Nicole took of our party like we were family. She's awesome. Great place and will return. Highly Recommend.
My wife and I came here for a date night, and everything about this experience was phenomenal! The food was absolutely outstanding, we had the shish kebab and shish tawouk, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The hummus and baba ghanoush were incredibly fresh and authentic, and the Lebanese wine (Altitude IXSIR) paired beautifully with the meal. We ended the night with a delicious kenaf for dessert, which was the perfect sweet finish. A special shoutout to our server, Crystal, who went above and beyond. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive, especially when it came to my wife’s allergies. Her professionalism and care truly made our evening stress-free and memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great service, and an amazing atmosphere!
Very busy the food and service were incredible! Me and my wife had an amazing night. The drinks were great and food was even better !!
Whenever we visit Florida, AMAR Mediterranean Food is a must-stop for us! The food is consistently amazing, with fresh pita bread and cold mezze that never disappoints. The octopus and lentils are staples for our meals—they’re absolutely delicious! The lamb chops are another standout, cooked to perfection every time. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. We were thrilled to visit their new location, and it lived up to every expectation. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean flavors! They also have really good Turkish coffee and delicious deserts ☕️
I don’t think I have ever left a Resturant review but for Amar I had to!!!! This is one of my top 5 resteraunts I have ever been to. Went here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 30th and it did not disappoint. The inside ambiance was very romantic with the dim lighting and the big circular booths. It felt like a Resturant that would be in Miami. Now in south Florida it’s not hard to find aesthetic restaurants but it is hard to find an aesthetic Resturant where the food taste as good as the Resturant looks and Amar has done that. Every thing we ate was delicious. We had the Amar Mixed grill, all the meats were cooked perfectly. The lamb was super tender, chicken was moist. The food was so good on its own I didn’t even feel the need to put on the sauces that came with the meal and I am some one who LOVES sauce. To finish the meal we had Kanafeh for dessert was insane. Can’t wait to come back here! Any one who doesn’t like this restaurant must not have good taste.
Amar is a Mediterranean restaurant with many options including vegan ones. It has amazing Pita, shawarma, and kebabs. It has a lively atmosphere, and has a variety of people of all ages eating there. Service was speedy and accommodating. While the food is expensive, the portion sizes are actually quite good, and price is justified.
Amar is the hop spot that reminds me of Beverly Hills LAXAre of Cali. Great vibe and awesome food. When you arrive make sure you ask for the manager Nicole. What a great lady My group got the Kita and the Amar grill platter. Had a glass of wine, a beer and incredible service. If you’re following me, make sure you tell them Hank sent you.
Gabriella was sweet and helped us choose some tapas. Some of the best hummus and pita I have had. The food was delicious and the service was great. Will definitely go back.
Overall, the food is great. Kafta Halabi was delicious. The Tabouleh was wonderful. The Labneh was rich and creamy and a must-get first plate. The Rocca Beet Salad is 90% arugula and 10% beets…I was expecting primary beets. It was good but more salad. The Sfiha was ok - not the flavor profile I really liked—-sweeter glaze on top with a spicy meat in the center. The KANAFEH was just OK - the texture was more like melted mozzarella than expected. Our service was OK, our server seemed out of it and didn’t explain what dips were what. Took 10minutes to get to us once we were seated.
Stopped in for a quick bite while walking down the boulevard. Ordered a mixed grill sampler plate for two. Plenty of food for at least three people! Service was excellent. Food was amazing. As usual, Amar is never a disappointment. My only comment is that inside it can be very noisy. Some sound baffling would be amazing!
Delray Beach, run over to this restaurant! This place is a gem! Authentic Lebanese food! You can taste the love & passion in the chefs dishes. Michael & Sarah were very engaging and assisted us on selecting our courses. We were greeted with some house dishes and some of the best small plates my wife and I tasted. I highly recommend this spot as it stands out for being truly authentic.
One of my favorite restaurants in Delray! This place is consistently good every time - the food is phenomenal and always attentive service! My friend and I came into happy hour Wednesday and had the pleasure of getting served by Nicki who was an absolute sweetheart with great recommendations. As two vegetarians, this is one of the best places for us to dine with endless mezze options. My favorite is the grilled halloumi and babaganoush.
1st time visit for a 10 year business celebration and what a pleasant surprise! From he in-house harissa, pillowy pita & hummus🤤to the kibbeh & falafel
We had a wonderful experience at Amar Grill in Delray Beach! The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. A special thank-you to Christelle, who served us with true professionalism and kindness. She was attentive, friendly, and made our visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place — and be sure to ask for Christelle!
A beautiful restaurant with friendly service and terrific food. We sat outside and the fans made it feel very comfortable. Lots of plants created a nice atmosphere. We were a party of 4 and shared the humus and baba ganoush and 2 main dishes of the chicken kabobs. All were delicious. The belly dancing was fun. Plus the restaurant is on the In Kind app.
We had such a fantastic experience at Amar thanks to Cristelle! From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, patient, and genuinely kind. She offered great recommendations, checked on us at the perfect times, and made us feel so welcomed. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal and thoughtful. Amar is already one of the best restaurants in Delray, and Cristelle makes it even better. We’ll definitely be asking for her every time we come back!
Firt time eating here last night with my wife and another couple. Our server was Marlon. The entire experience was outstanding. The food was A+ all around. We did the tasting menu and the spreads, dips, bread and all the mains were exceptional. But Marlon stole the show. He was perfect, explaining the process of the food arriving, timely cleanup, checking in on us, super positive vibe, engaging, and just overall amazing. We will be back for the food and for Marlon. Highly recommend.
Absolutely incredible experience here at Amar. Our server, Marlin, was exceptional: great energy, very knowledgeable, responsive and quick, highly efficient while also providing friendly service. As for the food, I cannot say enough. The variety and flavor across all dishes was wonderful. As someone with a dairy allergy and a preference to eat gluten free, I'm used to having very limited options but this was not the case at Amar. I had a wonderful selection of appetizers and entrees that required absolutely no modifications to meet my dietary needs. Not to mention: not one but TWO dairy free, gluten free dessert options. We will be back many times to visit Marlin and the amazing food.
Amar just became my new go-to spot. The Mediterranean food was next level — honestly some of the best flavors I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is unreal, and the service was great the entire night. Food, vibe, staff — all 10/10. Already planning my next visit.
Delicious food and so many different plates to try (they have a happy hour so perfect time to do this!), I love the decor and ambience- our server Matthew was super kind and attentive. I can't wait bring friends and family here. For drinks, I tried and loved the Ya Amar and Haarr-Bibi. Some dishes I absolutely loved and recommend are Hummus with beef shawarma, Batata Harra, Rakakat, Brussel Sprouts, Sambousek and Arnabeet Mekleh... can't wait to try the other dishes!
Amar Mediterranean Restaurant is truly a gem in Delray Beach! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Their new falafel is absolutely fabulous—crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with authentic flavor. As a vegetarian, I was especially impressed with the variety and quality of their vegetarian options, which are definitely top-notch and crafted with real care. The service was just as memorable as the food. The staff is attentive and welcoming, making you feel at home from the moment you walk in. A special shoutout to Marlon, who went above and beyond with excellent service—friendly, professional, and always with a smile. If you’re looking for a place with incredible Mediterranean cuisine, great vibes, and outstanding hospitality, Amar is the spot. Can’t wait to come back!
I went to Amar on Nov 13th for a friend’s birthday. It was my seventh time there. The service and the food are consistently excellent. This time our server was Christelle who was absolutely awesome. I would request her again for sure. We love the food although we had a few issues with the meat since we ordered medium well and it came medium. But have no fear, Christelle came to the rescue and made it right. Can’t say enough about her. Our only complaint was the price. They have increased the prices enormously and we will not be able to go as often as we would like.
This was my first experience trying Mediterranean food and Amar did not disappoint. The atmosphere was gorgeous, inviting and esthetically pleasing. The service from Christelle was top tier and all of her recommendations were flawless. My palette was definitely exploding with a new world of flavors I can't wait to explore again. Marlin was also great and a class act. We look forward to being back.
Had an amazing meal at Amar last night. The food was great, but what made the experience truly exceptional was our server, Christelle. She was so attentive and kind, and her positive attitude, professionalism and recommendations really made our night better. She went above and beyond, even when it seemed busy! Highly recommend asking for her if you dine here! Christelle, thank you for bringing such good energy and kindness. We definitely recommended Amar for such good, yummy food and great atmosphere overall!
From the moment I walked into Amar Mediterranean, Hayley set the tone for an incredible dining experience. She greeted me with the warmest smile that felt genuine and full of energy, instantly making me feel welcome. Hayley’s hospitality is exceptional. She doesn’t just seat guests; she makes everyone feel valued and comfortable. She was attentive, friendly, and professional all at once. Even during the busy dinner rush, she handled everything with calm confidence and made the front of the house run smoothly. Her efficiency and organization stood out the most. She managed multiple tables effortlessly, coordinated perfectly with the servers, and still took time to check in with guests to make sure everyone was happy. It’s rare to see someone work so hard and still make it look so easy. Hayley’s work ethic and positive attitude are contagious. You can tell her energy uplifts the entire team and adds to the restaurant’s welcoming atmosphere. Between her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for guests, she truly represents what excellent service looks like. Hayley is the heart of Amar Mediterranean’s hospitality, and they are so lucky to have her as their hostess.
Server was friendly and efficient even though busy. Hummus with Harissa was very good and the warm pitas heavenly. Tabbouleh good. And the spinach pie, and beef pies (forgot the name) good but not amazing. The falafels I loved. My test for Mediterranean places is the falafels and hummus and Amar passed. Atmosphere very lively but like the porch in the new location a lot. We had a cozy table - covered so no worries about weather.
Picked this place at random for the vegetarian options was immediately impressed by it. The level of customer service from the host, the waitress and the bus staff was top tier I felt taken care of and catered to. Then the food came and it was absolutely divine, flavor, texture and presentation all working together. Overall loved this place and wish I was local so I could go again!
Had a wonderful experience again. Just went with a friend for dinner a little over a week ago. Hadn't been to Amar in over a year but the service from Christelle was excellent. It's also helpful when your server knows the menu inside and out and all you have to do is describe what you want and she knows what plates to bring you and what wine to recommend. I love going here. The food is always spot on and the bread is always fresh. And with authentic and pleasant service it's just another reason to keep going. Will definitely be back!
We were a large party of 7 with two small children. The staff could not be more accommodating and patient with us. Service was outstanding. We ordered many different dishes to share. All were excellent! The patio was a perfect place for dinner. All in all, this whole experience exceeded expectations. This is the place for Mediterranean food!
It was great. The only thing is that many of the appetizers had a very similar undertone in flavors, maybe it was a lot of lemon in everything (a bit too much)... still very good quality and fresh food... I loved the vegan musaka. Their happy hour is a great deal for half off appetizers.
this is the kind of restaurant that’s not your usual fair. The restaurant is very well appointed the waitress. Nicole was excellent and professional. The food was really not to my liking because I don’t like that kind of food. The shrimp was very good. I had the grilled halos which I liked a lot. The Lebanese Masaka was just OK. We had the hummus which was delicious and it comes with pita and I don’t eat bread and I asked for cucumbers and they actually charge me five dollars which I think is not something that should’ve happened. I’ve been too many other restaurants and asked for cucumbers since I don’t eat bread and they gave it complementary so that was surprising I had the Mediterranean lentil salad, which was nothing but lentils. I was not happy with that and returned it. Thankfully, the waitress accepted that and brought me thehalloumi in place of it in all this is a restaurant for people that like to go off the beaten path for a different type of taste of food, which I’m sure they would enjoy. They have valet parking or free parking right next to the building right off of Atlantic Avenue.
I’m Lebanese and the food here was divine. Everything was very authentic to my culture and our cooking. The atmosphere is beautiful, nicely decorated, great vibes. Giving 4 stars because the service could be better. We had a reservation in time for happy hour but they insist the whole party needs to be there to be seated although we were getting valet parking. By the time we were seated, it was still within happy hour time but the server didn’t attend our table until the happy hour passed and did not let us order from the happy hour menu. Online it states their happy hour is 4-6 pm but the happy hour menu inside states must be seated by 5:45 pm so beware.
Great option for Middle Eastern food. Drinks were delicious, and there are plenty of options to choose from. For the main, we got mixed Amar platter, which is plenty for 2 people, but it was a bit cold for some reason, meat reas very good but veggies lacked flavor. The desert was amazing! Definitely recommend to try the Kanafeh.
Charming spot BUT during Happy Hour only a few of the appetizers and cocktails from the extensive menu are included. The appetizers we tried were delicious though. I also noticed that it was quite dusty on the decor and surfaces, and there was very little lighting in the evening.
I went to this restaurant on New Year’s Eve with my friend. We knew we didn’t want a large meal, so we made reservations for Amar because on the website, it asked if I would like the set menu OR regular dining. I chose regular dining, and have not received any calls, texts, or emails following. As we arrived, we waited 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by the host and then were seated. As we sat, the set menu was on the table. I described that we booked for regular dining, and asked if we could get the regular menu. The waitress said she would check with the manager. The manager comes up to us, woman with short brown hair, and has a disgusted look on her face. She continues to tell us that this is the only option for the night. I explained how I booked for regular dining, she told me that there was a misunderstanding on the site. Again, I received no notice of this at all. I then ask if my friend and I could share the three course set meal, because we did not want a large dish and had plans afterwards. She then laughs at me, and says “how do you think you are going to get a meal at a nice restaurant without paying 75$”. We are two college students who again, did not want a large meal and booked the reservation for a regular dine in. If reservations were cancelled there was to be a 30$ per person fee. I ask if we leave will we be charged, and again she rudely says yes. We go back and fourth, me explaining that I should not be charged because we specifically book regular dine in. Eventually she told us to go, and I asked if I would be charged and if she would take care of it. She walked away rolling her eyes. Her mannerism was insanely rude, and I was shocked at this treatment. She blatantly made it out to be like we could not afford this restaurant, and got annoyed since we did not want to eat a three course meal. I will NEVER be coming here again, and this was the worst experience I have ever had.
