Small portion for the paella, but very sumptuous. The croquettes and beef cheek are just amazing

Slightly pricey for the portions but the food is delicious 😋

Went here for my husband's birthday on Wednesday, fabulous food, great table out in the garden area, so pretty and really good service. Such a perfect evening.

Fantastic dinner with 2 good friends. I lived 2 years in Andalusia and the quality of these tapas can be very similar to the true experience!! Reasonably priced wines and superb quality of the tapas! Very cosy and relaxing atmosphere, just the seats are a bit hard, but overall a fabulous night with friends! Will go back again :-)

Lovely, cosy little place in Dundrum! A very welcome break from the other fast food options in the shopping centre. The interior is cosy and relaxing, the staff are polite and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. The prawns and black pudding especially! The paella was a little bit underwhelming, but still enjoyable. Would definitely go again!

We really like their own brew - light and relaxing and the mini version of it was for €3.25 Tip before you purchase: mention it to the crew members clearly if you're wanting to sip the mini version. We only pointed out as to which one we'd like to have but forgot to tell them verbally and they brought us the regular one (of course) Haha But their ambience and service is excellent. If you're looking to chill without any chaos - porterhouse Dundrum could be your go to place. Cheers! I went here the second time and just loved their croquetas (croquettes) platter. It just melts in your mouth. Their aubergine 🍆 tempura with hummus dip is a nice dish to order if you are slightly hungry.

Great atmosphere and very nice staff. I loved the food, there are many options and they are all very nice. My favorite was croquet of cheese and broccoli, it was sooo good, I will definitely go back there and have those again! 😋

Delicious late lunch deal - 2 tapas and glass of house wine for €13. Friendly service - a bottle of water and glass was supplied with the menu. I had the calamari which was superb and a large tasty slice of tortilla. Great value, nice atmosphere with good music - not a bad way to spend an hour on a Wednesday afternoon.

I love this place. The staff were nice and helpful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The tapas were yummy even though our eyes were bigger than our bellies! We had a glass each of the house wine was delicious. Nice buzz about the place. I should have used the flash for the photo 🤪

Nice Location, warm, the food was very delicious. Regarding the prices it was expensive because the portions are small.

Food was delicious. Staff look running like crazy, maybe they need more staff working... House wine was good as well. Not too expensive. Give it a try if you like Spanish tapas.

I had an amazing experience during my visit, particularly when it came to the wine—it was absolutely divine. Our server was incredibly friendly and provided us with excellent assistance throughout our time there. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Clariza, the sweetest girl with the curly hair! We’re definitely planning to come back!

Lovely cosey, rustic vibe, friendly staff, clean toilets. Food was very reasonably priced. Would recommend the calamari and the prawns. The non alcoholic sangria was really nice. Both the food and drinks were well portioned and light. I felt fed but not full to the brim. Would recommend and would definitely go back

One of the best tapas in Dublin. Everything was great except for the fried belly pork in paprika, very chewy so wasn't a big fan but overall 👌

Porthouse Dundrum is a cozy spot with a great selection of tapas and Spanish wines. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a date night. The service is attentive, and the food is flavorful, offering a true taste of Spain. Highly recommend for a relaxed dining experience!

All the food was very tasty & enjoyable. The slider of 3 burgers was superb. The mushrooms and the artichokes very good. I found the pork interesting but wouldn't order it again. As it often happens with pork, the idea of what it may taste like is better than the actual late. Pil-pil gambas were tasty as you would imagine for something garlic and chilli. The seafood paella was probably the "weakest" tapa. The 3 wines were all good & interesting. The pasteis de nata flavorsome. A big shame that we had ordered 1 course as appetizer and then the rest of the tapas as main. We were very clear when placing the order that we wanted it that way, as 2 separate things and got a response that seemed to mean "of course it will be that way. I am a professional, I know these things". Then all the courses arrived very quickly and all together, with no space in between starter and the other plates. That meant not having space on the table and having to change the order of eating we had in mind, which in turn meant eating something cold when it would have been much better warm.

Ordered the Eggplant tempura, hummus, cheese croquettes and prawn pil pil. We’ve been there a couple times through the year, they could add some more chicken dishes. Menu could also use some non-fried food to go easy on tummy 😁They do have a list of good vegetarian dishes too.Service is prompt always.

Nice cozy Spanish place. Great for candle light dinner dates or wine with friends. Huge selection of wine. Above average food. Tapas style. You can oder multiple things and share. Large menu, lots of options to choose from. Do save space for Churros for dessert. It's a must have. They have the best Churros in Dublin, the chocolate sauce with it is to die for. Will go back again just to have those.

The place is amazing. I loved the Sangria. The food is so tasty and the prices are reasonable. The only drawback is that the portions are super small. All the plates are appetisers size, so if you are hungry, this is not your place.

I've been here many times over the years. It's reliable tasty food. Nothing majorly exciting but decent and good portions, not too expensive and staff are very friendly. The prawns were a tad chewy on this occasion unfortunately and they're usually my favourite but everything else was good. Especially the stuffed piquillo pepper. Creme catalan bruleè also very nice. Came away feeling very full and satisfied.

Pros: Nice staff + Delicious mix of burgers + The salad with cheese and nuts was good Cons: The Patatas Bravas is not made of the real Spanish red sweet potato + I asked for a pint but I got a bottle with a glass!

The food was delicious. A bit disappointed with the initial service as the restaurant was closed at 12pm when we already had a reservation. I had to call them after 10 minutes as they still didn't open. The portion sizes were good. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Good for lunch or even brunch. Will visit again.

I really like The port House, i think the tapas are amazing. The food here is delicious and the staff is great! It's so handy to have this restaurant in the shopping center because you know you're always gonna find parking. It's so convenient. It's also very close from the Lucas station so even if you're not driving, it's in a great location. They have a kid's menu and high chairs. My son really enjoyed the food and at the end.... Churros ❤️❤️ They have their own beer and it's ok, I still prefer estrella (which they also have). They have a great wine menu and some cocktails. They also have their own gin and tonics. I haven't tried those yet but next time for sure. I loved everything but it wasn't very comfy seating in the back of the restaurant, outside. It's cover but it was still a bid windy and cold sometimes. Everything else, amazing!

Excellent tapas and atmosphere. The service was excellent. A bit pricy for what you get. All the food was great, except the paella, which was disappointing and expensive. ,

The menu was varied and reasonably priced. Food was well presented and very tasty. Nice atmosphere inside; we chose to suit in the garden. Never thought of smokers! But it did not ruin our evening. We will be back.

Food was barely 3 star. Very small disappointing portions for price you pay and food comes in a bit slow even if restaurant was deserted. Sangria in fact was very good. Honestly would not recommend as not an authentic tapas place.

This place is tucked away at the end of the Dundrum Town Centre and is surrounded by many other food establishments (better ones). We ordered a couple of salads, which while okay, are mostly some leaves with roasted nuts and fruit/cheese. The fig and pear salad is interesting and very fresh, the same cannot be said about the goat cheese salad. The Moroccan chickpea stew is nothing extraordinary, could definitely do better ( be judicious on the use of cinnamon which skews it towards a vindaloo dish). The servers are very nice and helpful, and the service is prompt. Ambience is cozy; the inside seating comes with a bit of an old world charm, while the outdoor covered seating is floral and fresh. Good for a one time visit.

I really liked the fried squid. Now, leaving aside the lack of light in the restaurant and that the portions were very small for the price, the 3 stars are because: 1. The Huevos rotos (potatoes, egg and meat) were cold, not even room temperature, they were cold. And the egg was fully cooked! 2. We had to ask 3 times to the waitress to bring water. 3. The chocolate from the churros was cold as well, as if they just poured it from the fridge. 4. We asked for 2 different bills and they agreed at the beginning, but they brought just one in the end and said it was not possible to have 2.

If you plan on chatting and drinking with friends, this can be a great place to eat and drink. But if you want to fill your stomach, this shouldn't be an option……To be honest, it is cheap for every dish

M

The tapas portions are too small and don’t feel worth the price. I waited over 50 minutes before receiving any food, and ironically, my starter arrived after the main dishes. The sauce on the alioli potatoes was quite weak in flavor. That said, I can’t complain about the atmosphere—it’s a lovely place to relax and have a drink. But overall, I’d recommend it more as a bar than a restaurant, especially if you’re very hungry.

G
Gema Cajas Ferrer

Good just ok, not great for the price 75€ per person for the 5 of us. There was quite a lot of food though, but the quality wasnt the expected, some of the dishes a bit greasy. Croquetas a bit disappointing The sangria 🍹wasnt nice, very strong, only a few bits of oranges and there was no flavour it basically looked like red wine in a jug, maybe spanish beer is a better option ( Estrella Damn) About the service, most of the waiters were extremely nice but some others were quite sharp 🥲 + something I liked is that we ordered more food but they didn’t serve it cause there would have been too much I want to think

G
Gemma

Used to be one of our favourite places to eat. Food is very hit and miss, we’ve had one great meal and one really subpar meal recently. The prices are about 60% more expensive now vs 2021 - cost of living or not, the quality and portion size is not good enough for the price. The serving of patatas bravas was actually pathetic, it was half the portion it used to be and the potatoes themselves were tiny. The picture shows what we ordered this time (not pictured are 3 croquettes the size of the green isle ones) that came to €51. Patatas mix, 3 croquettes (not pictured), 4 pieces of manchego, honey and 1 round cracker (cracker not pictured), 2 x tetilla templatas, a veg paella and 2 coke zeros is €51!! You can see how tiny the portions are; it’s tapas - not food for rabbits! Another time we ordered the cheese board and it said it came with “grapes” on the menu… arrived with 2 grapes!!

J
Joshua E (Josh)

Not great, cold food server was not attentive. Hour wait for food 20 wait for drinks. The dishes are something which you can just make at home with ease Would recommend los tapas de Lola in town instead

A
Adelina

They have to change manu probably 🤨…like „ mini paella”!!! 🙁🙄because this is the most smoker paella I have seen in all my life 🙄😰, and the Aperol Spritz almost without Aperol 🫩

D
Debbie O'Bgni

The service was good and the food was good, but the portions were very small. I left the restaurant hungry and went straight to another restaurant next door. Even for tapas, the portions were absurdly small. If you're going for lunch or dinner, eat at home first because you'll go hungry.

C
Colin Hogan

€16 for the tiniest sliders I’ve ever seen and €12 for a Rioja reserva that tastes like plonk. This place used to be good, total scam now.

J
Julia Movshovich

On weekend, I got the salad half size as on the week day. Prices in the bill were different to the ones in the menu. We did not get 1 main, which we have ordered and remind 2 times.

K

Cosy restaurant if eating inside, not so cosy on the terrace in November. This is especially true if you are seated waiting 45mins for just the wine!! When we asked for our said bottle of wine, the response was ‘we are very busy’ - in other words, ‘you are not a priority’. Eventually got our bottle of wine after asking a second time. Needless to say the food hadn’t arrived either by that time. In fact we nearly got a dessert!! Two waitresses made a great fuss bringing us a birthday cake with candles lit and song to boot - hungry as we were, we sent them packing to find the real birthday celebrant. The food was nice although the platter of cheese and charcuterie is much smaller than expected. they had v little wine stock, couldn’t order 2 bottles of same wine. Suggest you don’t take bookings if you can’t look after them.

Had been regulars. Went there for a big family birthday. Place was freezing. Had booked big table ahead for the occasion, letting staff know the occasion in advance. Under the rude instruction of Cristian, the waitresses started trying to move us on after an hour, when we were barely seated. Needed the table, apparently. Cristian impolitely shouted across the table that it was in the terms and conditions when receiving the booking e-mail that tables could only booked for 2 hours, and they began to rush us almost immediately. Brusk and ignorant. Ordered chorizo iberico, and got served some cheap stuff from the economy supermarket sandwich aisle. Pointed out the fraud, and Cristian magnanimously blamed his chef. We had birthday cake to come. Told him face to face what I thought of his manners. Later, received a mealy-mouthed apology, some gaslighting about the music, of which there was none, making it seem like he had shouted, and a large discount. Clown show. Never returned.

I went to have a good SV day with my gf and it wasn’t what we expected about the food. Btw, we heard some people argued loudly in the kitchen. ???
