Had a great dinner here and dessert here. It has a lot of phenomenal options. All of us were torn between several dishes. All of the plates were cleared. Matt was the perfect host. Thank you for the great experience

This may be the best restaurant in the area. The "specials" are unique and marvelous. Service is top shelf and great ambience. Definitely worth checking out. Our server - Andrea, was excellent.

Wow, just wow words cannot explain how great this place is food was on point along with service, staff was extremely friendly as well. My server Angelesa was not only attentive but made sure we were taken care of I will 100% be back and I am extremely happy i chose to come. Definitely give this place a try!!

First time there last week... Food was out of this world.. portions were larger.. decorative too.. comfortable seating and attentive staff from the hostess on down to servers...

The food was phenomenal! I had the chicken parm and my husband had the veal parm. The staff are super friendly and quick with service. My husband and I were looking for a new place to celebrate our anniversary, and this is the place! Definitely recommend to everyone I know!

I don't know what else to say other than 'amazing. My Mom is here at hospice and I called to order some dinner for me and my niece. They never took our money. Thank you so so much for your kind words and the dinner. I look forward to visiting your restaurant in the near future ❤

Really great Cesar salad! Crab cake was a bit too salty. Sat outside in tent. Service was excellent and staff took safety measures seriously. Will return.

Great wine, amazing steak. Only possible critique is the time it took for the meal to come out on a slow night, which seemed a bit long. Not that I minded that much though, because wine.

Angelos of Dunmore has some of the best food and service in NEPA, I ate here on my birthday and was really just in awe of everything, I have eaten here 3 times so far and my 3rd time was the best, prob due to the lobster special. And the staff here are amazing, a very prominent local family owns Angelos and they sure show their pride in this restaurant, I wish I could afford to eat here all time, haha. A++++++++establishment

What an amazing place! Let me say firstly the service is exceptional. Donna at the bar and Simon in the kitchen, what a combo. Cannot beat it! The long hots, oh lawd! If you want delicious food and fantastic drinks and service then Angelos is the place to go!

My husband and I love Angelo's. It is one of our favorites in the area. The food is always terrific...my favorite is the Veal Champagne, but my husband had the Veal Parmesan and it was a great portion and delicious. Drinks are also very good.

Perfect for small parties! Party of 13 fit perfectly upstairs in the cutest little room! Our wait staff was so nice, especially Don our main server! The food was absolutely amazing and all other 12 guests could agree. Overall great experience! Will be back! Appetizers and Entrees came out at the perfect time!

No photos, wasn't planning to leave a review. So far the best Italian we've had in NE PA. Had a Caesar salad to start, then made paperdelle in vodka sauce with prosciutto, followed by a risotto with black truffles and a hint of asparagus. Each was excellent. Dessert was a lemoncello cake. Also great.

Was there to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food as always was fabulous. I highly recommend the shrimp with risotto appetizer. The service was friendly and went out of their way even singing Happy Birthday as they b r ought out dessert. We will be back and recommend Angelo's to anyone looking for a special meal in a great environment.

Was a little loud upon arrival cause it was peak dinner time - but quieted down as it began to empty out. Our service was great. They changed the sauce on my meal at my request. I had seafood pasta that was awesome! It was a huge portion that I could barely eat half of - could've feed two people.

Really good food, large portions, and its a nice place. I grew up nearby, but just made my first visit. I'm sorry it took me so long. Could use a few more vegetarian options.

My wife & I went for dinner. She had the veal caprese & I had the seafood ravioli. The food was top notch. Great flavors and so fresh. Finished with carrot cake and vanilla bean cheesecake that were also awesome. Our server, Matt, was very attentive and helped with some recommendations. Eric, the chef served up an impressive dinner. Thank you for a great experience!! Definitely recommend dining here. We will be back.

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. The waitress, hostess, and bartender all made their way to our table to ensure that we were taken care of! The portions could easily feed two people. The restaurant is on the upper scale and the prices reflect that, however it is so worth it.

Great dinner. Two of us had filet and one had veal. All excellent. Dessert was fine but probably the one thing I would say could be improved. Will be back for sure. Outdoor seating was wonderful!

Best mushroom soup I’ve ever had no doubt about it. I ordered the chicken sorrentino just incredible again it was as good as any I’ve had elsewhere.The staff was really excellent,can’t say enough about the restaurant everything was spot on. We were a party of 4 everyone was very happy with the food and service.

First time here and definitely not the last!! I give it a galaxy of stars! This restaurant is a home run! Scranton should not only be know for The Office!! Angelo’s should be a definite stop for anyone wanting a PERFECT meal from beginning to end! The kindness, service, food, drinks and ambiance were all just incredible! Found Angelo's on Open Table and am really glad we gave it a try. Our waitress, Jill, was excellent in making sure that we wanted for nothing the entire night. The food was fantastic, the service, top notch. We will definitely be back and we will absolutely tell our friends!!

Had dinner at Angelo's for the first time on Saturday. Very enjoyable, nice atmosphere, very good food. Wait staff did a nice job. Food was very good... portion size average. Bread served with olive oil infused and and a olive topping. Dinner was pounded chicken, eggplant, mozzarella cheese, prosciutto entree. Will be back!

First time there and the service was amazing! Food was brought out very quick and everyone is friendly. The food was delicious! My goodness i cannot wait to be back.

When out of town for work, I stopped into this restaurant. When I arrived I parked in their parking lot nearby. I walked in and was greeted by the hostess. The restaurant was pretty nice and I decided to sit at the inside bar. Liz and another young lady were my bartenders. I started with the pinot nior amd it was tasty. For my meal, I got the cavatelli con gamberi, which was jumbo shrimp, and switched the cavatelli for pappardelle. It came out after about 20 minutes. When I dug in, the food was good! I added a little salt and hot pepper flakes. The bill wasn't too bad. All in all I had a good experience.

A really nice Italian restaurant! The food is great as in the picture and the waitresses are nice and welcoming. The only downside is that the place smells funky somehow.

This was our first time dining at Angelo’s, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Everything we tried was exceptionally fresh and flavorful. For appetizers, we enjoyed stuffed mushrooms, zucchini flowers, and shrimp cocktail—all of which were delicious. Our main courses impressed as well; the blackened sea bass, in particular, was outstanding and a personal favorite. The food quality truly stood out, especially the seafood, which is hard to find fresh in this region. Although the décor is more traditional and lacks the modern flair of newer restaurants around Scranton, the cuisine here far surpasses those trendy spots. Overall, it was a thoroughly satisfying dining experience that left us wondering why we hadn’t visited Angelo’s sooner.

Solid place with well done food. Server was a little infrequent in checking on us but overall a fairly good experience. The tomato bisque soup was excellent and I'd go back just for that.

Service was great! Very friendly wait staff and host. Music choice of pop was kinda odd, for a cloth napkin and table cloth restaurant. The garlic spread for the table bread was delicious, I could have drank it. The dinners were incredibly salty though, it overpowered any other flavor present.

Other than being out of scallops our dining experience was quite pleasant. Service was timely, courteous and available when needed. A good spot for drinks and dinner.

First time visiting. Food was delicious, however, service was pretty poor for a restaurant that's seems to lean more into fine dining. We waiting very long for dishes to be cleared, we were having to shuffle to eat around plates that should have been cleared..also, we were not checked on very often and it seems the female who was the manager was attending to us more than our waitress. Took about 25 minutes for out desert to arrive and 2 of us ordered drinks that were just never brought to the table. Overall, I think I would revisit to give 1 more chance. But it did not meet expectation the first time around

Pretty average food for Thanksgiving buffet dinner. No medium rare beef. Some tough, dried out slices. Turkey looked like cold cut turkey, not real turkey breast. The regular menu looked decent enough to try this restaurant again, but not on Thanksgiving.

First time at Angelo’s today 7/19/25. I just wanted a good comforting Italian meal and I was definitely let down. I have to preface this with two things. One, the atmosphere and service were amazing. The bartender, Ally, was super sweet and very attentive. I really enjoyed talking with her. Secondly, maybe it was just my taste buds, but I keep it real so this is my opinion. I got the stuffed long hot peppers as an appetizer. They were absolutely delicious. If I just had that for my meal this review would’ve been 5 stars. Also had complimentary fresh bread with an Alfredo dipping sauce that was delicious as well. I waffled back and forth on what to order as an entree, as so many of the options sounded delicious. I ultimately decided on chicken saltimbocca. Very poor choice on my part. Maybe it was an off night. Maybe it’s me. But it flat out sucked. It was like eating a chicken breast that was wrapped in sage and coated in a Marsala wine reduction. Absolutely terrible. The side of pasta was very delicious. They took the entree off the bill, not that I was looking for anything for free. But what pissed me off was that the chef said there was no sage in the dish. You have a better chance of seeing Sasquatch walk through your back yard than there not being sage in that dish. And 10 times too much of it. Don’t insult my intelligence, I know what sage tastes like. I like sage but little bit goes a long way, not to mention it’s a traditional ingredient for saltimbocca. Anyway, sorry to rant. I’m just a little irritated that I wanted a good meal on a Saturday night, still spent $70 and leave hungry and disappointed. Oh well. Too many other good options in NEPA than to take a chance here again.

My group of 4 were the only ones in the restaurant this afternoon. However, there was a party upstairs. It took at least 15 minutes for them to bring bread to the table. It took at least another 15 minutes to get our salads. When the entrees arrived, none of them were hot. Nothing about the food was authentic Italian. Also the food is overpriced. I’d never go back there.

To start with the good: the employees are very nice and very attentive. The hostess kept refilling my water glass, and a waiter who wasn't ours asked if we needed anything. Atmosphere: the walls and ceiling are painted a grim grey, with black trim. The tablecloths are black, as are the napkins. The result is funereal, reminiscent of a morgue. Definitely depressing. The drinks: we ordered the house version of Old Fashioned's. The description said they used Maker's Mark. You couldn't prove it by us; in fact, you couldn't convince us there was any alcohol in there at all. There was definitely sugar, though. I'm not a fan of sweet drinks, and usually an Old Fashioned is fine. This was syrupy. After three sips, I was done with it. The food: my husband liked his antipasti salad, though the bits of meat and cheese were pretty small. His appetizer size dish of manicotti had two of them, and that was enough for his meal. My house salad was also rather small (for a $9 house salad, I'd expect more vegetables) and the dressing seemed excessively vinegary to me. The gorgonzola was unremarkable. The worst, though, was my seafood gazpacho ($22). The boring liquid tasted like V-8 juice or cheap tomato juice. While the two shrimp were large and tasty, and the crabmeat was okay, the lobster tail (which is the only way they could have justified that price) was tasteless and watery. After one bite, I decided it wasn't worth eating. I didn't complain, because there didn't seem to be any point to making all those nice people feel bad. It's a small town, and there isn't much competition from good places. Next time, I think we'd opt for a pizza joint, to avoid being disappointed.

Service was extremely subpar for the money that you pay to dine here.. also the waitress quit halfway through our meal. Ate here 1 year ago and it was great. I got veal parmigiana and the veal was very chewy. Unfortunately it seems like this place has gone downhill.

One of the worst restaurants I have been to solely based on service. We were a party of 7 and sat for 20mins before even being greeted and asked for our drink order. We ordered 3 white claws, 1 wine, and 2 martinis. Took 20 mins to receive the white claws and wine ( white claws that were brought out were the wrong flavor). Another 10 mins for the martinis. At this point we have been sitting for 50 mins when finally another server came to get our order. All the staff was nice, but did not seem concerned with how long we were sitting there without being waiting on. Thank god for the server who did come over and take our order because we probably would’ve sat for another 40 mins if we did not say a couple of times that we were ready( and we had just called another restaurant nearby because of how long it was taking to try to get a table there- host must’ve over heard us on the phone and had the other server take our order). From 3 people at the table who are also bartenders/ servers we are very understanding but this was unlike anything I have ever experienced. No sense of urgency, no apology, nothing. AND it did not seem busy at all that night although we were seated inside and could not see how many tables were outside, but still no sense of urgency or apologies from any of the staff. To top it all off, the host wrapped our food but failed to ask my sister if she wanted hers wrapped. She put another dish on top of her pasta on the table without even asking if she wanted hers wrapped. Definitely will not go again and would not recommend.

I visited in April 2024 with a party of 4. . It was probably the worst service I ever had at a restaurant. It took us almost 2 hours to get our food. No joke. Staff was hard to come by. When they did show up, they were uninterested. It was a Friday but it was not super busy. Wanted to try the outdoor patio this summer but after that I'll pass.
