I love to eat here when I am in a hurry to get to class at night. The prices are great the only thing I don't like is the egg roll. Everything else that I've had here is tasty.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They have have the best Lo mein and the sweet and sour chicken.

Great Chinese takeout been eating here for quite it's a local gem good food and great price I recommend the general Chow, sweet and sour chicken, or jalapeno chicken with Fried rice.

We wanted Chinese takeout, and took a chance at trying Quick Wok. I was very pleased that they answered the phone quickly and took our order without any issues. When we arrived, we called and within a few minutes our food was brought out, and payment was taken at the same time. I noticed that my combination fried rice was in a small box, and was initially disappointed because I thought that it wasn't going to be a good sized portion. I was wrong. When I emptied it out into my plate at home, it was more than enough. The food was excellent! My wife ordered Kung Pao Chicken and it was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be returning when we need our Chinese food fix.

For almost 2 decades, this place has been consistent in delivering freshly cooked dishes. It is my "go to" place in Edinburg for Chinese food. My family and I enjoy them quite a bit. They recently added a "tofu version" of general chow chicken that my vegan wife loves. The nice and humble staff, will not dissappoint either.

I have been coming here to Quick Wok for years. I have never ever been disappointed. They have special taste that I have never found any where else. They have options for vegetarians plus regular plates for carnivores. The egg rolls here are bomb 💣. I get the broccoli beef with extra spicy. The fried rice is the one of the best I have had. I had to give those place a 5 star cause I have nothing to complain about except they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Which is not really a quality issue. But if your in the mood to have fire Chinese on a weekend your out of luck. The ladies and gentlemen behind the counter are soooooo nice and help you with whatever you need. A lady works there that has worked there for as long as I can remember. I should know her name shame on me I don't. But she knows who she is. She is the best. Overall I will never stop coming here. 👍👍

Love ordering quick wok for our office staff. It's always fresh and fast. Our Favorites are the shrimp lo mein and the general chow chicken.

First, it's the warmth of the Counter. They always attend you immediately. Their knowledge of the dishes is better than China Town in California. Second, The Cleanliness! I have visited This Establishment for the last Twenty Years and am impressed how impeccable it is. Third, The Owner is usually around serving customers and making sure everybody is Happy. I recommend it for a nice quiet Dinner for a loved one or Big Family. We usually call ahead to order what I'm craving. The Cooks are Exceptional!!! The Stir Fry pans are always going until closing. I should know, in college my Apartment was next to something similar. But until coming Home did I know The Best!

If U give them money, they'll let U eat their food. Seriously, this is the best, most awesome Chinese food in the RGV! Best almond chicken i ever ate! I love their egg rolls. These rolls aren't like all the rest, thin & taste frozen. These egg rolls are big & fat. Taste fresh & have delicious ingredients. Their almond chicken is also made differently from any other Chinese restaurant. Service is top notch, with a smile. I have to drive round trip 20 miles to eat here, but it's always worth it. Price is excellent. Skip those buffet places.

Food was exquisitely delicious. Service was impecable...our order was placed through the phone, picked up at curbside pickup, order was was correct and our waitress was very helpful and patient when it came to adding more to our order on the spot. Our order came with eating utensils, napkins, plenty of Soy sauce, fortune cookies and a smile. Everything ran smoothly and reasonably quickly.

Edit: As I write this i found out it's opening back in February!!! So happy!!! :)) Iknow most people don't listen to reviews made by kids, but here's my honest review. As a kid who's eaten there a lot over the years. And has sort of grown up eating it since elementary. I go here a lot with my mom and dad, usually just to get take out, and with the times I do go there to sit down and eat. I love it. The sauce there is always so amazing, I've loved it for years. In elementary, I'd beg to go there just to get the food to eat at home. Since I'd always rather starve and not eat lunch till I could eat decent food outside of school. It became my comfort food. I always love two portions of rice, and the chicken, my mom always orders it for me, and I always give her my egg roll, since for me personally I never liked it, that's what made me happy back then. Even when my life got tough during covid, I'd think about how i missed little things like that. In middle school when I got sent back to school after lock down, I finally got a chance to have that moment again, to go after-school with my mom to go eat at this place again. It was almost like I was just in elementary again, no middle school drama. Just happy. I know it sounds like I'm just being dramatic. But truly this place has been with me for years. I'm in high school now, I got diagnosed by moderate depression that no one takes seriously, and got diagnosed with ADHD a few years before, I've always known I've been different, considering I was always picky with what I ate. How my clothes felt, and other things that seemed like not a big deal to other kids. I try to fight to be seen everyday, to be not seen as a kid who's faking it for attention. To not be seen as lazy. My parents aren't close to me anymore. We rarely go out together now. With health problems in the family, fights with my dad. Sometimes I don't know if they ever were truly close to me. I'm still struggling to be seen. I can't get medication. I can't go to therapy anymore. But whenever I managed to be heard by my parents. I'd ask to go here after school. After all the torment it put me through. Horrible friends, teachers whom didn't listen, it always comforted me at the end of the day. Eating a food that's been always my favorite for years. Right now the store is temporarily closed, I do not know what has happened, or why it's closed. But do know that once you open back up. I'll be happy to order that same meal as always. Thank you for unknowingly helping me through those tough times. No matter how old I get. I'll always have this place in the back of my mind.

You have to try it! A coworker of mine recommended this place to me and it's awesome 😎👍 As soon as I walked in, the lady in the front was welcoming and she answered all the questions I had since it was my first time there. You know Mexican Americans love Chinese food, and this place is a gem! I got the sweet and sour chicken. Did not disappoint! Not greasy at all and with a good amount of rice with the lunch combo. The price was really good for the amount of food! I loved it. Highly recommend. I will be back! 5 stars mang!

Quick Wok is a pillar of the community, their food is better than the other Chinese restaurants in the valley, and their prices are way better too. If you are looking for savory Chinese food with enormous portions (their eggrolls ARE HUGE) at a very fair price, look no further than Quick wok, they've been in business for over 20 years and it's for a good reason! I've been eating their food since they were established and NOT ONCE have I had to complain, their service is always warm and inviting, to the point where I look at some of the petty complaints on here and it's so obvious that some reviewers have personal issues unrelated to their perceived problems with the restaurant. So give them a try, and you will not regret it, in fact it may just become your favorite place to eat!

Years ago we had a Quick Wok in Mission. We always liked their special fried rice. We drove all the way to Edinburg for it and found it is still as good as we remembered. It's a generous portion, in fact we shared it and still had some left over. The rice is loaded with chicken, beef, shrimp, egg, peas and carrots and very tasty. The restaurant is quite basic but very clean. We certainly recommend it.

Dine In is back!! I've missed coming into the restaurant to just relax and have a good/Fresh meal! Family owned, Fast, FRESH, and Fantastic food! It was good to see the employees after so many months of not being able to dine in. I had the Kung Pao Chicken, (dinner size) and it was super tasty and the rice was nice an fluffy as well. If you're in Edinburg and you're craving some chinese, do yourself a Favor and drop on in!

Really delicious food. Ive been coming to quick wok sense 2010. Ive never had a problem with them or their food. Sometimes the wait time can get long depending on the amount of ppl ordering, but thats normal. Their customer service surely does make up for that.

A good place to find a quick dish. The service is fast and the food is decent. Some dishes are a little too greasy but I guess that is ok if that is your thing. All the food is made fresh and that is a big plus for an affordable Chinese restaurant.

The atmosphere and the building are good quality and made me feel comfortable. But the food fell flat. After a few bites I didn't want to any more of it.

I was really upset. I hadn't gone there before. But the website said the store was open on Saturdays so when iade the drive to the store...the sign on the outside of the store said they were closed Saturdays and Sundays. They need to fix that. But the food is really great, that's why I made a long drive to that store.

Good overall. The only problem I've had recently has been with the eggrolls. And what's weird about it is that it's been happening every other time I go there. The eggroll smells funny like sour cream and it tastes sour like either it's not cooked enough or had sat out and became spoiled. I'm not sure which, but I end up either enjoying them or throwing them away. Especially when I order extras. That's like 4 dollars in the trash.

I used to come here often 10+ years ago. Today, the chicken was dried out and had been sitting there. They still figured it was okay to serve it. Maybe it's the pandemic thats caused burn out, maybe they just dont care. I dont know but I wont come back. Nevermind I spent $15 for chicken, noodles, rice, and a soda. Never again.

Service is very friendly, but the food is very plain and the rice is always stale or just not good. I am disappointed in the flavours which should taste fresh, buy somehow end up tasting old or plain.It's expensive for the flavour of cheap takeout. Not recommend for me.

The kung pow chicken was great, but did not like the sesame seed chicken it was too sour. The rice was okay. It's hard to find great chinese food in the valley. This is ok.

I don’t think this place is ever going to reopen

I ordered delivery and I must say that the food was nice and hot when delivered. However, the fried rice was undercooked and the Mongolian Beef tasted like fish and we could not eat it. All other dishes ordered had good flavor except for these two that I mentioned.

I've visited Quick Wok for many years and I've always loved it. I had written a review before about how much I loved this restaurant but you can only have one Google review at a time. Sadly, the last few months I find that the food has not been a great as it used to be. The staff is great and the restaurant is always clean. Those two things have not changed at all, they're great. The food itself is where they have slipped way down. Today I ordered my usual, General Tso chicken with a side of crab puffs. The chicken seemed under cooked, I don't know if it was rushed. I order a side of the General Tso sauce because I like to add it to the rice but today the chicken was swimming in the sauce, I suspect to try to hide the quality of the food. The crab puffs seemed under cooked as well and stale at the same time. I truly hope the quality of the food can be restored to what it used to be because I can't think of another restaurant who made Chinese food as tasty as Quick Wok did.

Don't get the Jalapeno Chicken. There was too much soup (water) no flavoring, no chicken mostly mushrooms. The egg rolls were raw *don't have a picture* I didn't get a refund or at least another dish. Wish, I would've enjoyed something else.

Overpriced fake Chinese! Ordered three combinations fried rice paid 32$, get home and there's only one shrimp in each box call and complain to manager lady she tells me I'm lying and hangs up. What F***ing worthless manager never going back don't recommend to others!

First time here. Ordered a LG Chicken and vegetable soup. Got home and the 32oz cup was damaged and all the Broth was all over the place. Sad 😔 wish I could post a picture. All I was missing was a gold fish. Unbelievable 👊

Please read...I hardly ever leave reviews but in this case I will, so you will not suffer the same experience my husband and I did. This is by far THE WORST CHINESE FOOD I've ever tasted! We had sesame chicken, which was awful. Egg rolls - awful. Eggdrop soup was very, very thick and bland. If you end up trying this place, I hope you have a better experience than we did.

I had not been here in a long while. I looked forward to going back but was disappointed. Cooks must be different. The taste is definitely different. Especially the rice. The rgg roll however gets a 5 star for me. No return for me though.

My mother and I decided to try the food from Quick Wok for the first time and we were left disgusted and disappointed. The quality of the food was sadly not that great and I nearly puked after finding a dead cockroach in my beef lo mein. Having only eaten a little bit of my meal, I decided to throw away the entire carton of beef lo mein. There’s no way in the world I’m going back to Quick Wok until they’ve passed an appointment with a health inspector.

I ordered a general chow white meat plate and received a plate with shreads of chicken and a lot of breading dipped in the general chow sauce. They charge a whole two dollars extra for this and you get less meat? Doesn't make sense to me. I will never be going there again.

When eating my shrimp fried rice i pulled a hair out of my mouth ruined all my appetite. I strongly encourage cooks to wear a hair net and maybe even cashiers . According to the one that i called and spoke to she states all cooks wear nets , when I looked towards kitchen the cook WAS NOT WEARING A NET. They need to get better quality take out plates lost all juice due to cheap quality of plate. My daughter complained noodles tasted too much of garlic and no other flavor . First of all I would like to say before it reopen I would eat here at least 3 to 4 times a month, but idk if it's different owners now this food is horrible . 3 problems one the hot and sour soup is just soup with nothing in it, second general chow has a lot of fat on its chicken, and third the 3 times I have eaten there there has been hair in my general chow. Fix this please I waited so long for it to reopen to have such a big let down

Paid extra for white meat General Tso and all we got were pieces of overcooked crusty chicken. It was hard, chewy and difficult to swallow. Service was ok and the restaurant was clean just food quality has suffered over the years. It was good a few weeks ago but not today.

I definitely used to enjoy coming here in the past few years, however as of late my orders from curbside or favor have been incorrect. Twice now I've asked for steamed/white rice for my orders and each time they gave me fried rice. As well I paid for white meat the extra dollar. They refused to give me a refund for the 1$ that was charged separate from favor. My advice, eat here in person so that way if they mess up your order you can at least show it to them in person while getting denied service. Was very dissatisfied with my recent purchases here.
