First time and I was so impressed with the service. The gentlemen at the register offered to place our toddler’s order as soon as we sat down. It made all the difference. We've been going here for years. Service is always as amazing as the food. My grandpa and the owner always chat it up eveytime we go. The best new York deli spot I've ever had. I can't even pick a favorite dish everything is amazing. I usually get either a French dip, chicken Ceasars salad, deli sandwich or one of the burgers. It is always delicious no matter what. If you love the Beatles this is a must stop as well. The walls are covered in all sorts of Beatles memorabilia.

First of all, the Beatlemania stuff on the walls is super cool. Being a big Beatles fan, I love all the Beatles stuff. Every single wall has something Beatles related. Second, the food is awesome. They even have a burger called "The Sgt. Pepper Burger." The waiters are so kind aswell. Theres a lot more positive things I can say about this place, but it would be as long as an essay. If you're in the area, consider this restaurant. It is simply amazing.

My family and I frequent this place probably biweekly and the food never dissapoints. The servers are quick to take your order and check in on you to see about refills or anything else you might need just enough times throughout the meal. Their russian dressing is the BEST sauce you'll ever try in your life. It's delicious, consistent and quick for when you need a work lunch or a quick catch up!

I really enjoy coming here to the New York Deli for lunch. Not only is the food always tasty as well as fresh and made to order, but the wait staff is always extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. The Beatles memorabilia only adds another layer of charm to the cozy welcoming, ambiance of this hidden gem in McAllen.

This is one of the finest if not the best deli in the Rio Grande valley. Their food is top notch. I've been there multiple times, had different subs each time and never had one i didnt like. The atmosphere is excellent. The service is polite attentive and keeps the drinks cold. I will always stop in of I'm in McAllen Tx.

🤩 This is the best place to get a bagel locally! “Amazing” is an understatement… 🥯 These bagels are imported directly from New York, so the taste is purely authentic. 😋 Alex is a fantastic server—attentive and thoughtful. He and the cook went above and beyond! The owner, Gilbert, was just as welcoming and kind. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like part of the family. Good vibes all around! 💓

Honestly, it's probably the best deli shop in the RGV! Got the King, and it was delicious not to mention the chicken vegetable soup that can warm your soul on a cold day. Friendly atmosphere and staff and great place to eat!

Every time I come here with my boyfriend, we always leave with a smile and in awe of the amazing and welcoming hospitality they offer us. Any server passing by will offer you refills, stop by often to check up on you, and the owner comes out and shakes your hand. I loved this place since our first sandwich and it’s our mission to try everything on the menu! The food: Incredible. It’s not “only” sandwiches. It’s THE best sandwiches. Don’t get me started on that potato soup 😩 Their brisket melt is so soft and tender, the French dip deluxe is amazing with that Au Jus sauce, and the Drews special is always a good start.

First time ever I feel like giving 5/5 to everything. This was my first time here and it did NOT disappoint me at all. The place is clean, pretty, good lighting, it does give a take away from New York, the decoration is unique. Now the food, the menu is HUGE, which is awesome, I even liked the menu itself. You choose your main course, with two sides, which I believe are great options. The broccoli soup was AWESOME. The lemonade is good, the main course itself is delicious, all fresh, and the sauce is very good as well. I made the mistake of ordering chips instead of fries, but that’s okay. I ordered dessert as well, they have cakes, cheesecake, brownies, etc. I just loved it. The prices are fair, and the service is something I truly appreciate, probably three-four people took care of us, super kind and patient, I would definitely go again!

8/12/24 Update: we again decided to have lunch. Wow, it is packed and busy at noon! We saw a lot of workers coming to clean and set up for the next customer, accommodating for the next customers at the door. Service was consistent and food was great! May 2024 Update: we revisited this restaurant and it was consistent in their food and service! Fantastic little place to get a great sandwich or hotdog with fries! The service was great and the food was very good! You get your money worth! We ordered a variety of sandwich or dogs.

Great food, the meat was HIGH QUALITY. Was full when i ate here so did not finish my burger but it was GOOOD. My friends licked the plate after finishing. Great environment, love the accents. Awesome meat selection and attention to care. Will ask if everything is fine. Gotta try the russian sauce REALLY GOOD. Will try something spicy next time!!
