Amazing place, such a good restaurant. Food was fresh, almost all the waiters were friendly, largely attentive and kept us topped up and checked in on us for drinks and food. The food was so fresh and lush, not over seasoned, arrived in good time and there was good portions to cost value. The gyros I did it get a picture of, but it was fantastic! Would come here again in a heartbeat.

What really impressed me was the freshness of the ingredients and the balance of flavours. Everything tasted homemade, and the portions were generous. Definitely will be back.

Fava is hands down the best restaurant I’ve tried in Edinburgh. They offer a wide selection of mezza, and the main courses are nothing short of exceptional. Every dish has a comforting and homemade quality. The atmosphere is inviting and beautifully crafted. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive (service is very fast). If you’re ever in Edinburgh, you must give it a try!

The food and service were outstanding. We tried several of the appetizers including hummus and tzatki. We ordered a couple of entrees to share. It was a great way to try lots of things. All the food was tasty and freshly prepared. The pita bread was very flavorful and great texture. We got baklava and orange cake for dessert which were both fantastic. There's limited parking but it's close walking to the city center. The inside is accessible but there is a step up into the entrance.

First time visiting this place and I hope it won't be the last! The decor is neutral but tasteful. The service was friendly and quick. Ordered the veggie sharing platter for 2 but it easily served 3 of us for a starter. The lamb Kleftico was phenomenal. Perfectly cooked lamb shank, not too overpowering with the seasoning. Had it with pureed potatoes which was perfect. Can't recommend highly enough!

We dined here for our anniversary. We had 1x starter to share with a side. 2 x mains, 2 x desserts, and 5 x drinks. Well curated wine and drinks list to compliment the food we had. Great customer service. Knowledgeable staff. Will be returning back. Worth the money spent.

The greek food here was really delicious! We really enjoyed our stay! The people who work there were really kind and helpful. They did a great service! We liked the interior & decor of the restaurant, there was a great atmosphere. To make sure that you get a table, we recommend making an online reservation, which was very easy. We can't recommend this place highly enough! See you next time, when we are back in Edinburgh!

I’ve been waking through so many times and finally I could try this place❤️ First of all this place looks so so so cute and beautiful from outside but once you get in you see more of amazing interior and atmosphere is also great too! We had calamari wrap with pork and lamb and all was so tasty! Especially lamb was cooked so well flavoured perfectly and meat was so soft and juicy🤤🤤 Plus staffs were all so nice and amazing and we had such a great time❤️ Will def go back to try different foods from their menu😎

Get yourself to this Greek restaurant, what a treat! Our experience was pretty special and if it wasn't good enough, Manuel made it unforgettable! I havnt stopped recommending it. The food tasted great, very traditional, the service was quick and efficient, good knowledge and recommendations, the whole environment was warm and inviting, in general it was on point. From the atmosphere it was obvious the rest of the guests were having a fantastic time too. From start to finish we treated like royalty. I highly recommend booking this place! Thanks Fava X

The food is 10/10 We came here after a cold day in the snow and wow it warmed us up and was a lovely meal. The starter was amazing, the main was amazing and the desert was amazing. Highly recommend.

Superb meal. Gyros were delicious and our little girl loved her falafel kid portion. Big portions, tasty food and wide range on the menu!

Have been here twice now and I am always happy with the food. Fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Good wine choice and really enjoyed their passion fruit margarita. The staff are welcoming and I love the interior

We had a great experience at Fava. Atmosphere, food and service were all great! We ordered 5 of the tapas dishes plus some pita bread, which was more than enough for the two of us. The desserts were also delicious. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our visit to Fava tonight. Food, restaurant and staff were superb and although I didn’t have any this time the cocktails were a huge hit! Will definitely be back…soon. Gorgeous.

I had a wonderful time in FAVA! Beautiful decorations and friendly staffs! I highly recommend the passion fruit cocktail. I don’t drink normally since I don’t like the strong taste, but this cocktail is so amazing! I cannot believe my tongue haha. The sea bass is also highly recommend. I thought it would be one piece of fish but it’s a whole, well spiced sea bass! Love it!

Amazing food, welcoming and friendly staff, and very reasonable prices for a proper meal out. I can’t wait to come again and try more of the delicious (and well-portioned) menu! I had the strawberry margarita, olives, tzatziki, pitta bread, veggie moussaka, and baklava, as pictured.

What a lovely Greek restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and decor, with welcoming staff that made us feel like we were in a Greek Taverna. We chose a selection of starter dishes which is always a great way of finding out how good the overall food is. It was very nicly presented and everything was really tasty. Not quite so impressed with the Greek wine but would just choose a different wine next time. Prices were quite reasonable.

We agreed with 4,6 stars The food was good , in particular the octopus and the atmosphere was very nice. We had 5 starter / smaller dishes , this was more than enough for us. Service was ok, but with options to improve.

Fava restaurant is one of my favorites now whenever I think about greek food. I have tried a variety of dishes and I liked them all. I recommend visiting it if you are in Edinburgh at least once but I am sure it won’t be the last time. Good service good food good place nothing more to say

Food was amazing, Staff were friendly and great with recommendations!! Honestly I wasn’t 100% sure about here however I will forever be returning as the meal from start to finish was brilliant!! The chutney that comes with the halloumi sticks tastes amazing! The pitta was great, AND not to mention that they have multiple halal options! A brilliant option for all!!

Now a Regular at Fava! Love it. Unbelievable Greek food, (coming from a Greek born and raised) high quality, presentation always looked after, lots of choices on the Menu. - The restaurant itself is stunning inside and love the greek vibes and songs. They all speak Greek which is a +. Great!

Was in Edinburgh for a conference. Went to Fava on first night, solo dining. The mezze's were fabulous, really tasty, beautifully presented. Staff were so lovely and attentive. Liked it so much went back on my last night. Also just as good. Highly recommend!

I visited Fava with my colleagues for our Christmas dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint! The food was excellent with generous portions, and every dish was full of flavor. We were a large party of 21 people, and every single one of us was impressed. The staff were amazing—super friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire evening. Even with such a big group, the service was seamless and warm. Highly recommend this place for both small dinners and large gatherings. We’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed Fava! The service was very welcoming & waitstaff were great at assisting us with the menu. As a family of 4, we share the marinated grilled octopus - it was so tasty & flavoursome. I felt like I was back in Greece! This was the stand-out dish for me. We also had the dip platter & the mezze platter. We loved the dip platter. I would recommend ordering extra pita bread, though, as it only comes with one piece (4 quarters). Overall, it was very good, fresh & flavourful food! A lovely change from the traditional English pub food.

One of the best Greek food I have ever tried. It was tasty, perfect atmosphere, enjoyed the food. Tried chicken as well has veg Greek wraps which were absolutely delicious. Tried cold coffee which was not that great, hot chocolate was good enough

Food is nice enough although I have definitely had better gyros and the fava bean dip was lacking in flavour. Service is fast but I'd rather the restaurant focus on improving the quality/taste of it's food. Could be so much better.

I love this place. As much as a love solo travelling I wish had people with me so I could’ve tried everything on the menu. The food I did have was the midia, melitzanosalada with pita and kritharoto thalassnon. All were equally delicious and rich in flavour. The frozen lime margarita was also a treat. Definitely worth the price.

Great atmosphere, great service and a fine night was had by all. The food looked and smelled delicious, however the pork dish was just ok. I've heard so many great things about the place. This and only this one dish was disappointing. The rest was great

Nice restuarant, we ate courgettes, calimari, Gyros, mixed grill and dessert. Service is good and restuarant is nicely decorated inside. Courgettes and gyros rea⁷lly good. Mixed grill was ok maybe just a bit too much meat! Dessert we got the chocolate cake which was good. Would go back

After getting a lot of recommendations for this restaurant, finally had the chance to visit recently. Its located in haymarket, very easy to get to location. Free on street parking around the restaurant. Ambience of the restaurant is quite nice.. the interiors are modern and beautiful. Restaurant was totally packed and bustling with people. The tables are placed quite close to one another so if you don't like to sit close to the next table, you may need to tell them that in advance maybe they can do something about it. You definitely need to have a reservation as the restaurant is quite popular and tends to fill up fast. we called a week ago but still couldn't get an early dinner reservation. They have vegan, non vegetarian & vegetarian options. Very fresh ingredients and freshly prepared food. Everything they served was good. We ordered a mezze platter which as per the menu has pork gyros, chicken gyros, hummus, tzatziki etc. However, they informed pork gyros were already over and they would give us extra chicken gyros which they did. But if they are giving us a reservation for 8.45pm then they should ensure the last batch of reservation also gets everything on the menu and not hear that something is already over :) Also, we didn't get the hummus along with the platter as mentioned. But everything else that was served was quite good. Would recommend to try the mezedes which has some interesting options like the Prawn saganaki, it was delicious. Overall, a good food experience. Will be back soon to try more dishes :)

Service was great and very fast. The food delicious but not the best. I ordered falafel gyro wrap which was a bit dry. They could have put more sauce or tomato.. my husband ordered chicken gyro portion and he liked it. We also had mix dip (it looks like mix meze) with pita bread - it was super delicious. I forgot to take photos of our main foods but I am sharing mix meze plate 🤌🏼🤌🏼

Just been for dinner at Fava Greek restaurant. Good meal with a bottle of wine. Large portions. Nice decor. Very busy when first arrived. Good service. Would definitely recommend and would go back in the future

Very beautiful and warm environment with great choices from Greek cuisine. Highly recommended the pork gyros portion as well as the sausages. Another great starter was saganaki (fried cheese but not halloumi). I would personally avoid the fried kalamari.

Pretty disappointed by this place, our server with the dark hair and tattoos was quite rude. The food was bland. The 'optional service charge' was a real slap in the face after mediocre food and service.
